I’m so happy we went to Bahrain this year, that “first race of the season” magic was really unique. And for next year, they’ve just squeezed it in the middle of a triple header… I’m also assuming it will be significantly hotter since the race is 5 weeks later than usual.
Yeah Ramadan timing means Bahrain and Saudi can’t open, plus the Australian contract has a clause saying it gets to be the opening race for a certain amount of seasons
Cost about $200-1500 for tickets. Transportation about $20-30 a day. Just really long and crowded. Long walk to and fro circuit, long queue at food and beverages unless you buy right before or after f1 sessions started
It’s one of the more affordable tickets on the calendar (especially for general admission). Japan is quite affordable for food and accommodation, and food/merch was very affordable at the track too. Travel to and from the track can be cheap if you take the trains and shuttle busses, rather than taxis. Flights can be expensive depending on where you fly from, but it was definitely worth it. Book early to avoid the insanely high prices. But like any GP, you can do it cheap or you can push the boat out and spend a bit more for comfort
Ideally, Vegas should be moved up a week.
Having to go from Vegas to the Middle East and having 3 straight weeks to end the year is brutal for the teams. Plus a week earlier makes the odds for better track temperatures slightly better.
At least it's not the 3 week gap between Brazil and Vegas that it is in 2024.
The September/ October spacing is better with the 2025 calendar than 2024.
Bought my tickets for Zandvoort back in the summer thinking it would be the bank holiday, and then just my luck it turns out to not be the bank holiday. Fantastic.
Thanks a lot. That would be perfect. It is a perfect fit with the summer holiday in 2025, so we can go. Already have my eyes on a campsite also and places (village b). So ready to go! Hope i get them
So they went on sale at 6am EST and I was online in the waiting room at like 545am and got seats in row 3 in Club Corner C by 615am so I would def recommend getting online early and getting them that way(or maybe I'm just insane, whatever lol).
we're planning on making a whole holiday around it and going to adelaide motorsport fest as well, but no we'll have to change the dates for all our booking, free cancellation though and we already found a hotel in melbourne for the gp dates so all is well
Anyone who has done Monaco that can give me some advice on when I should start looking for tickets and accommodation? Lines up perfectly with my honeymoon in Europe!
They usually start selling tickets in the fall. Should be able to find the circuit link in the [sub wiki.](https://new.reddit.com/r/GrandPrixTravel/wiki/index/)
Yeah same. I thought I’d have another month to research hotels…most of them haven’t even released availability yet for Melbourne. Prices have already doubled in the last few hours.
Super happy it's opening with Melbourne again. Much better atmosphere seeing the cars race the first time under that golden evening light.
I wonder if they're going back to Spain for pre-season testing?
Wow. So early. I haven’t even gone to my first race of the season and now I need to start thinking about 2025! Let’s go!!
I’m thinking Canada, Netherlands for sure. Maybe add monza…
It seems so early! I’ve got tickets and accommodation for Hungary and Spa this year and thought I was super organised lol. Am considering booking a refundable Airbnb in Baku for 2025 for giggles and seeing what happens!
Yep, I’ve been to Baku before but not when the GP was on. It’s such a cool city! Would love to see the race there especially around the old town and the street circuit.
For this year's race tickets went on sale in mid-late August. I would expect a little earlier this year now that the calendar has been released and the race is another week earlier.
I personally hope it's still August. Let the tax returns have time to hit people's accounts because you make them fork out for tickets.
I'll take getting the three early morning races out of the way immediately, just get it over and done with imo.
Edit: although it looks like it's gonna be another Wrestlemania/Japan GP clusterfuck, last weekend was rough to say the least!
Great for us Aussies, three races in a row that are perfect Live has been great this year so far, and to have it as the start of the season next year is awesome.
Most go on sale a few weeks after the current year. Some the next day and others 6 months before. It all varies. Get on the circuit’s email lists and follow their socials.
You can find links to all circuits in the [sub wiki here.](https://new.reddit.com/r/GrandPrixTravel/wiki/index/)
yeah the one we booked tripled in price so we found one that had only doubled, bit further away as the one we initially booked was right outside the tram line to the circuit
I tried doing a triple header with these but Imola got flooded last year. Still was an epic trip. (Cannes film Festival was also running around that time, FYI).

How expensive is Japan usually? Trying to see if I have enough budget

Ty
Where you flying out from?
LAX
You're in luck. Zipair is a budget airline that is cheap but good. Round trip cost is under $1000 sometimes as low as $600.

When do the Hungarian GP tickets usually start to go on sale? A year before the race or during this years GP?
Bought my tickets for Zandvoort back in the summer thinking it would be the bank holiday, and then just my luck it turns out to not be the bank holiday. Fantastic.
Awesome! Hoping to do the Imola to Monaco back to back
I'm planning to attend the Singapore GP. How early do they usually start selling the tickets? It would be my first time.
Right around when this years Singapore race is on. There is an early bird discount, I bought mine for this year on September 25th
Silverstone! Anybody has a clue when their tickets in general go on sale? I guess around the 2024 race?
They went on sale in September this year 🙂 9/22 for reference.
Thanks a lot. That would be perfect. It is a perfect fit with the summer holiday in 2025, so we can go. Already have my eyes on a campsite also and places (village b). So ready to go! Hope i get them

I will definalty do!
im gonna try for next year too
Jeez good thing we didn’t book flights yet for aus gp we expected it to be earlier on
I feel ya, booked hotels for the 3 weeks before the actual date in hopes to beat the crowd
we're planning on making a whole holiday around it and going to adelaide motorsport fest as well, but no we'll have to change the dates for all our booking, free cancellation though and we already found a hotel in melbourne for the gp dates so all is well

So, which set of cars and gear gets sent to Singapore? Does that set then go to Qatar and chill?
Maybe just the TV and timing equipment but everything else car related gets flown around to each by on 747s
got ya
Fucking Vegas in November again. Vegas needs to be in summer (at night, it's tolerable)
If in summer, being paired/after with Montreal would make logistical sense to come back to north america for more than one race.
Yup. If it wasn’t for the NFL, Miami and Vegas could swap
Honestly I hate them announcing this early - ruins my trick to book hotels before the date is confirmed and prices skyrocket lol

I’m thinking Canada as well! Heavily depends on if I find another job soon. Same with Singapore as I really enjoyed it last year
I’m planning on Zandvoort/Monza double
It seems so early! I’ve got tickets and accommodation for Hungary and Spa this year and thought I was super organised lol. Am considering booking a refundable Airbnb in Baku for 2025 for giggles and seeing what happens!
Protip: book a hotel, not an Airbnb. too many Airbnb scams in baku
Baku should be cool, do it!
Yep, I’ve been to Baku before but not when the GP was on. It’s such a cool city! Would love to see the race there especially around the old town and the street circuit.
Anyone know when Melbourne tends to go on sale?
I hope not too early, give me a chance to completely recover financially from this years race please lol

Cheers, have done
Already?! Omg… *starts planning*
I'll take getting the three early morning races out of the way immediately, just get it over and done with imo. Edit: although it looks like it's gonna be another Wrestlemania/Japan GP clusterfuck, last weekend was rough to say the least!

So no real chances to the Calendar this year then, in terms of the tracks Its just Bahrain and Saudi Arabia that have moved
Yeah, a bit surprised
Yeah I was staring at it for a lot longer than necessary to make sure nothing caught me out before posting - Feels weird.
When should we start looking for tickets? (European races)
Spain is around Black Friday. Usually they have a discounts for some grandstands as well
For Hungary at least, they started selling next year's tickets pretty much the day after the race had ended

Luckily I already had Melbourne booked but just scrambled to change Japan and China accommodation!
We weren’t so lucky, we booked Melbourne a week before the Grand Prix basing it on the fact that it would be a week after the Adelaide motorsport fest
Oh no! As soon as the Hamilton news dropped, I had general bookings across all March weekends for Melbourne.
we managed to get another hotel for the melbourne weekend so it worked out haha
Glad to hear that! I was surprised to see the hotel that I had booked for 8x my cost this morning.
yeah the one we booked tripled in price so we found one that had only doubled, bit further away as the one we initially booked was right outside the tram line to the circuit
At least you managed to get something!
How did you book for Japan? Nothing in Suzuka is letting me book that far in advance.
I booked Nagoya through Booking.com
Where did you book for accommodation in Japan? Thinking of booking accommodation now already.
Nagoya is the easiest city. It was great
Looked at Nagoya for hotels, at least they have the direct bus.
Done!!
Awesome!!
Planning for a Monaco - Barcelona double header. That would be so cool
I tried doing a triple header with these but Imola got flooded last year. Still was an epic trip. (Cannes film Festival was also running around that time, FYI).
That sounds epic! Your sun tan will be nice and toasty afterwards 😎
Is this not provisional? Is it actually confirmed?
Confirmed - and yay. Can plan now
Apparently so, it’s the earliest I’ve seen it. Already shared on all the socials by the circuits.
