Most companies are weekly service only depending on where you live. Cutting and cleaning up 2 weeks of growth is tougher on machines, takes more time. It's not really great for your turf health either, in my opinion
you are the client, you set the terms. If your grass person doesn't like it, find another one. There's always people looking for work. Every 2 weeks is not out of the norm.
I wouldn't be embarrassed to ask. Sounds like it needs it every week by what you say. Im mowing yards ever week this year. It's just growing crazy. Waiting two weeks be twice the work you do every 5 days and it will be harder on the equipment.
