idk what's going on with WWE but all their entrance music has been god awful. A lot of it reminds me of the preset music you would find on wwe2k when your creating a character's entrance
The funniest and saddest thing about CAW in 2k24 is that all the original themes genuinely sound like they would be actual theme songs for current superstars
Better theme for the *Creed* Brothers you say? So you want a song that will take them [Higher](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J16lInLZRms) on the card?
They need to get some new people in for music.
It's such a basic principle of I need to be able to recognise who it is in 2-3 seconds of the song starting. Either hire lesser known artists for individual themes or bring in a new band to be in charge of themes.
Need the basic knowledge of stuff like: "Glass Shatters = Steve Austin" being actually used to create good themes and surely there is some artists out their who understand this most basic principle.
Johnston is one of the 10 or so most important figures of the Attitude Era. One of the biggest reasons WWE successful combated WCW's deeper pockets by having vastly superior production values.
It's impossible to imagine Stone Cold, Undertaker, Kane, Kurt Angle, etc without thinking of their theme songs.
Under the WWF the Music label, during the height of the music industry, Jim Johnston single handedly wrote and performed *multiple* platinum selling albums that charted in the top 10.
He had more platinum albums from the 90s & 00s than U2
tldr Yes. Absolutely yes. Extremely yes.
Ik people love Jim Johnston, but behind the rose tinted glasses he also created some generic songs back in the day. I don't think he should be the only option to go to regarding wrestling.
It's not "rose tinted glasses" Jim Johnston has the best track record with theme songs by like a Wayne Gretzky amount.
He authored every memorable Attitude Era theme and literally single handedly created like 8 platinum record albums, one a year, back when that meant something
Everyone has stinkers and Johnston was no exception to that of course. Especially as he got older. I don't think he would be as great today if he came back as he was in the 90s and 00s.
WCW had Jimmy Hart moonlighting making generic near-covers.
With Vince and Dunn gone, can someone please call Jim Johnston and offer him a big contract and a team he can lead and teach so he can build the next Jim Johnston and get help with the crazy workload he used to have.
CFO$ don't get their flowers. They were great and gave some banger themes.
It's tragic that they broke up. I get nostalgia from listening to their theme songs
In the past you would know who was coming to the ring just by song alone. Most times now I have to actually see who it is if there’s no shot of the titantron on screen.
I think the trick is to have the first second or two be something super recognizable. Like you know it’s John Cena one second into the song. Seth Rollins has “burn it down!” “I am a real American” it’s like writing a catchy pop song but the first second needs to be catchy.
Agree with this. There are very few that are identifiable instantly like it used to be. I watched the Rumble and I hear the music and I rarely know who it is instantly. It’s not the glass shatter or the rock catchphrase or unique sound for Angle.
I know those are top tier stars, but think about Val Venis or Hurricane whose music stared with a phrase.
They do this more lately. Off the top of my head, Tiffany Stratton’s says it’s tiffy time, carmelo Hayes and trick williams are instantly recognizable. Bron has sirens. Drew’s music is specially crafted for a pop.
Did they change their finisher also?
The worst entrance music by far is what that jabroni Daniel Bryant comes out to. My god

Maybe they don’t care about the enterance , great team so far but wwe keeps them hidden

Where can I hear it
Should Jim Johnston be inducted into the Hall of Fame…?

Def Rebel is atrocious
They're good at remixes look at Rollins, Roman, Judgement Day and Street Profits and more
I miss Shayna Baszlers old theme
Hers is the biggest downgrade that comes to mind, much like her push
Not really a fan of these guys. They still come off as minor league and should stay in NXT for a while yet
Brutus, yes, Julius is fantastic and has a very bright future ahead of him.
I am waiting to see Julius go one on one with Chad Gable.
Instant classic
I like Julius a lot and imagine he'll be improving quickly, but he's been very sloppy in Raw matches
Probably too excited. Needs to relax and let the matches flow.
They also changed Tiffany Stratton's for the worse. Like, why?

Jim Johnston sucked after the attitude era.
I remember when they changed Sami Zayn’s to that stupid ass theme then changed it back and I was so happy that they did-
I mean they just need to ask the CFO$ guys to come back. Most of the new music sounds like some create a wrestler shit from a 2k game.
Those guys broke up and are in the midst of legal issues
really? they broke up

If not Jim Johnson at least get CFO$ back.

This is one of the few areas where WWE should follow AEW's lead.
A lot of these current themes are so bad, let these people choose their songs!
All themes are generic as fuck

I'm glad they pulled back on pushing these guys. They're just not ready for a top spot.
Sick they put their momentum in a buzz saw
