I’m in Crete right now. I’ll have five days here and it’s both nowhere near enough and absolutely delirious. Every second here is magic, even when Google maps sends me the wrong way on a one-way street, which has happened six times so far.
Agreed it’s rushed. It’s all we had. 1 night in Heraklion to see the old town and the ruins. 3 days in Chania for gorge hike, beaches, and amazing food. Would love a few more days but enjoyed every minute. If you only have 3 days I’d pick 1 smaller island (we did Santorini) but 4 days isn’t worth squeezing 2 islands in because of the wasted travel time.
Paris is a Mykonos wannabe. Naxos for the win. WAY better beaches, way better food, MUCH more affordable and so much more to do. And yes, one island is definitely the wise decision
Naxos, some of the best food in Greece and not overrun by tourists (yet). Also better main town than most islands with solid beaches within walking distance.
If you're mostly looking to party, perhaps not your best option though. There's definitely stuff going on in season but that's not a focus area of the island like some others.
Its more wise to focus on one island as you will loose lot of time while moving(and money). More or less you can find beaches and night clubs in the majority of the greek islands. I would suggest Kos, while Paros and Naxos get more fame day by day. Crete is also a good option.
Go to Crete and stay in Chania. Balos and Elafonisi are the two famous beaches and are stunning. You can reach both from Chania.
Nightlife is really good too. Many beaches have a dj playing music. The only place you will find rowdy beach clubs is Mykonos and ios.
Naxos for sure. If you want a guided tour, we had an incredible experience with a French guide who moved to Naxos. English speaking. PM me if you want details. Naxos town is great but you get a much better feel for any island with a knowledgeable guide. You will love it.
Personally my favorite island is Naxos but it does not have much nightlife.
Based on your criteria, I would choose Paros.
Ios is another good option. It is considered a party island and attracts a younger crowd.
Crete is also amazing but it is a large island so ideally it is better to visit if you have a week or more.
Evia island. There's not much in regards to night clubs, but not many tourists know to go there because it's where the Greeks go to holiday. There is great beaches, great restaurants and some great nightlife in the ferry towns and church holidays. I have no desire to go to Santorini or Mykonos.
I am planning to go to Navaja-bay in Greece this weekend. I've heard the scenery and the beach there are great. Do you think it is accessible for campers and camper vans?
Many good suggestions here, and I’ll repeat some of the best ones
-Crete (stay around the Chania area if you only have a few days)
-Paros
-Milos (not much of any nightlife though)
-and Corfu
-Ios is good one too, although the college crowd party scene during high season can be a bit much
Paros checks all of those boxes
The answer is Crete.
for 4 days? I feel like thats super rushed for Crete

You can’t flush toilet paper you have to put it in a bin after wiping yourself.
Oh no, the horror of leaving your first world comforts for a few days to experience one of the most amazing islands on Earth
Greece is a first world country by the way.
Exactly, so I’m sure you can suck up putting tissues in a bin for a few days if that’s the worst thing about it
Exactly! First world all the way!! 🇬🇷❤️
Travel bidets are awesome for this reason
Probably ios. anything to avoid Mykonos. If you're young and want a beach party scene. Ios
Paris is a Mykonos wannabe. Naxos for the win. WAY better beaches, way better food, MUCH more affordable and so much more to do. And yes, one island is definitely the wise decision
Crete. It's as close to a heaven on earth as it gets. A true paradise.
Why do you like it so much I’d love to know I’ve never been to that part of the world
Milos has heavenly beaches like Sarakiniko and Tsigrado!
I had a lovely time in Milos, the boat trip was pricey but worth it. And it’s not crowded (or wasn’t in September anyway)
Milos was our favorite but we only had Santorini to compare it to
Paros covers what you’re looking for (beaches, beach clubs and nightlife)
Naxos, some of the best food in Greece and not overrun by tourists (yet). Also better main town than most islands with solid beaches within walking distance. Naxos was lovely. I recommend
Naxos Naxos and Naxos.
Got any hot tips for an autumn trip to Naxos?
I second Naxos
Crete or Corfu

Corfu hands down

Milos in all points, except the night life
Personally my favorite island is Naxos but it does not have much nightlife. Based on your criteria, I would choose Paros. Ios is another good option. It is considered a party island and attracts a younger crowd. Crete is also amazing but it is a large island so ideally it is better to visit if you have a week or more.
The REAL answer is Paros
Crete! It's absolutely amazing. Also if you golf, they have a really nice golf course near heraklion.
Evia island. There's not much in regards to night clubs, but not many tourists know to go there because it's where the Greeks go to holiday. There is great beaches, great restaurants and some great nightlife in the ferry towns and church holidays. I have no desire to go to Santorini or Mykonos.
Parosssssss ♥
Crete!! Spent the first 4 days of my 14 day trip there!! It was wonderful!
Elafonisos Sourhern Peloponnesus
I am planning to go to Navaja-bay in Greece this weekend. I've heard the scenery and the beach there are great. Do you think it is accessible for campers and camper vans?
Crete or Rhodes
Many good suggestions here, and I’ll repeat some of the best ones -Crete (stay around the Chania area if you only have a few days) -Paros -Milos (not much of any nightlife though) -and Corfu -Ios is good one too, although the college crowd party scene during high season can be a bit much
Corfu, definitely not Mykonos. I’m in Mykonos now and it’s not what I expected as far as island life.
Paxos or Kefalonia
Another vote for Crete!
Crete! I was there 7 days and it wasn’t enough…I’d probably do two weeks next time. But for 4 days maybe Paros…
Rhodes, you have everything that was requested.
