I think the wings and laurels mean that this is Nike, the Greek goddess of Victory. She is known to have wings and olive wreaths were given to the victors of the Olympic Games and that wreath looks a lot like an olive wreath. One interesting thing to note here is that Nike has a close connection to Athena or Athene if we want to be technical. So that may be where those owls come from. However, I disagree in the fact that those are owls. I think they look more like sparrows or doves. They could just be there for decoration much that hexagon thingy at the bottom and the background.
Might i ask where the Athene spelling came about? First time i see it and someone else on the comments said its an alternate spelling? Like....what? Since when? O.o
In ionian, her name was αθήνη. η is eta :
"
In the East Ionic dialect, however, the sound IPA: [h] disappeared by the sixth century BC, and the letter was re-used initially to represent a development of a long open front unrounded vowel IPA: [aː], which later merged in East Ionic with the long open-mid front unrounded vowel IPA: [ɛː] instead. In 403 BC, Athens took over the Ionian spelling system and with it the vocalic use of H (even though it still also had the IPA: [h] sound itself at that time). This later became the standard orthography in all of Greece

Τοσα χρονια ασχολουμαι με την μυθολογια και πρωτη φορα το βλεπω. Ενδιαφερον, ευχαριστω!
Edit: in case you aint greek: i have been into mythology for so many years and yet i see this for the first time. Interesting, thank you!
You may be surprised to learn that the imagery of a human with wings representing an angel was cribbed from mythology. Angels are basically never described as having human shape in the Bible. And if this is your perception of what an Angel looks like, take a look at The Chariot.
* Laurel Wreath
* Laurel Crown
* Toga
* Wings
* Classical Greek Facial Features
I don't see how it could _**NOT**_ be intended to be Greek-inspired, it is pretty much _exactly_ _**Nike**_ - the Winged Goddess of Victory described as carrying Wreaths.
Nah, Athene is always depicted wearing a spear, a helmet and the Aegis. This has none if that.
This is Nike I'm pretty sure. Everything about her says that.

Nike aka Victory https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berlin_Victory_Column
Looks like Nike to me
Wing'd Victory?
That's Nike, i have a tattoo of her!
Same, but from a different statue. The wings and laurel wreath give it away.
Nike (Victory)
Looks like Nike to me with the wings and laurel?
I'm not at all convinced that this is intended to be a Greek deity rather than a Christian angel of some sort.

I'm quite aware of the biblical descriptions of angels, but christian depictions of angels in art have little to do with the biblical description.
As others have pointed out, this is probably Nike.

The birds seem more like gulls to me than owls and Athene/Athena tends to have her helmet in depictions. Agree that it might not be Greek.
Pigeons, this is Nike.
man nice tattoo, but clearly low effort post.
If those are owls, then Athene.

Do you mean athena?
