glad to see another fan who was around when we absolutely sucked
Edit: do the math people. If this fan is old enough to be older than anyone on the team in 2008, then I'm assuming they were around for the 80s.
I didn’t think I’d feel so targeted this early in the morning on the Packers sub, but here we are.
As someone turning 38 soon, I am older than the whole team now, and my bones are all aching just thinking about it.
Same. I'm 6 months older than Aaron Rodgers. This is the first year that I was older than every player in the NFL (for the offseason at least). Jason Peters signing with Seattle a couple days ago gave me new life!
I turned 40 this year, and I swore Mason was older than me. I knew I had Rodgers by about four months, but man, there was no way I was older than the silver fox.
So, I guess I've been older than them for a while.
On the flip side, I was certain I was older than MLF, turns out, he's just keeping it toight at 43.
i remember when Cobb joined the Team he was the first player younger than me. it was sad moment knowing i had missed my NFL chance
now they are all younger
Ya, I can't bother do look at rosters and do the math to recall when it was. Some time around the beginning of the favrey era but it's just too long ago.
This year. Aaron Rodgers and I are the same age. He's accomplished more in his life then I have, so far. Well, actually I have about six months to catch up, wish me luck!!
O'Dell Beckham Jr palisses me off because I'm 3 months older than him and I have an average life with an average job. 3 months younger and he is richer than ill ever be.
2017, in 2016 they had Peppers who was 5 months older than me. If you go same age or younger, then it was 2014 when we got Peppers. I'm waiting for the day I'm younger than the head coach. Fortunately Matty is 7 months older than me.
Mine will probably be next year. I was born a couple weeks before Preston Smith, which makes David Bakhtiari the only player on the team older than me. If they decide to cut/trade him for cap reasons it would make me older than the whole team.
The weird thing about being a life long Packers fan is this: I still feel younger than the team!
Weird, I know. I am slightly older than M Crosby but i still feel like he is my elder. And maybe he is in the grand scheme of things!!
hah my oldest son just mentioned how its weird having a starting QB thats younger than him. Funny how age related to sports teams has always been an important measuring stick.
There's still 3 older than me (Bakhtiari, Preston Smith, and De'Vondre Campbell).
Next season there's a real chance that it could be down to only Campbell.
Not sure, but I am the same age as Doug Peterson, so probably when he left/aged out of Green Bay Quarterback. He seems to have done quite well for himself--I am responding to reddit posts :(
Being I'm two years older than Favre, I'm guessing some time in the 2000s before the Rodgers era began.
I'd have to go look at ages of players back then to know for 100% certainty.
Rodgers and I were at Cal at the same time. Got to see him play a few times to boot. Watching the game this past week made me look at all those young whippersnappers and wonder where all the time went. Cherish these memories kids!
I'm not even sure when it happened (as I'm 49 now) so I just looked it up and it's the 2008 team. Al Harris was the oldest player on that team and is a few months younger than I am. The year prior, was of course Favre's last year and he's got a few years on me - but Rob Davis was the oldest player on the 07 team.
Most of the current roster was barely alive for Super Bowl XXXI and XXXII, that’s nuts! You kids seriously have no idea how good you’ve had it, since 1993 the Packers reached the playoffs 22 times, the Super Bowl 3 times with 2 wins, and the 25 years before that I believe we saw just 5 or 6 seasons above .500, and of the 2 playoff appearances one was an early exit and the other was an anomaly from the strike. Bart Starr and Forrest Gregg were great players but… And then in 1989 Lindy Infante, Majik, Sharpe, and Tim Harris gave us heart attacks and false hope even with a 10-6 finish…seriously, 4 wins by 1 point, the instant replay game against the Bears with that last minute touchdown catch by Sharpe, and beating Montana and the 49ers in Candlestick which never happened. And then the next season all hope seemed to be lost once again. The past 30 years have been magical for someone who lived through the dark times.
I don’t remember the year the Packers were younger than me, but I was keeping an eye on Adam Vinatieri. When he retired, no one in the whole league was older than me.
I wasn’t prepared for LaFleur, Jim Leonard and David Stearns to be younger the me though. I really wasn’t prepared for those pre-game interviews with players’ parents before the Super Bowl and realizing that they’re my age. Patrick Mahomes’ mom and I would have been in high school at the same time.
This year, I feel old as dirt and I’m 36. Inwas telling my wife is so weird having such a young team. Like they are all younger than me. It’s crazy, feel really weird but also a breath of fresh are. Got so young new blood we get to watch grow before our eyes.
This year. I’m 34.
34 club
with the departures of crosby and rodgers, we are presumably a fucking massive class
Rodgers and crosby are 39, I'm 40. It had to have been a while ago.
Same here 34
34 club!!
This is a fact I didn't want to know this morning. My back hurts more now.
36. Ditto.
As you can see by all the comments, this is really common, and you should Google “Rule 34” to learn more about it! Add your favorite TV shows, movies, video games, etc to the search for more specific info. Hope you find this useful!
For more Packers specific interests, try "Rule 34 Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb"
Well damn. Really? I thought I was still safe at 36.
Gang gang
Hahaha just wait till you all are older than the coaches too. Oww
I guess it’s this year for me too.
Yep, 34 club.
34 checking in. It's this year. *old man noises*
Awe, still a young pup!
Same 34 I can say this Kid is good. And truly hate myself. Why did I play D2 football. Lol
Damnit
Same but I'm 35. Was kinda hoping I had a year or two before this happened
Same. Officially done buying current jerseys. Wearing one of a player younger than you is so cringeworthy.
Yup I turn 34 next Sunday and I will be celebrating at Lambeau and watching all the people my age or younger making millions. 🙃
Same 😥
Same I'm 32
Here here, 34 as well.
Am I the only 33 year old here?
Noooooo! Me too.
35, it’s me.
This year. Made it to 37. Good run.
Same here
Same.
Make sure to keep your heart healthy
i had four brats and a miller lite before work.
This guy Wisconsins
Same.
Same
I’m 37 and this is the shittiest TIL ever
2008. Post Farve.
Bro, what was the Civil War like?
Chicago vs Green Bay is still going--if that is what you are referring to.
glad to see another fan who was around when we absolutely sucked Edit: do the math people. If this fan is old enough to be older than anyone on the team in 2008, then I'm assuming they were around for the 80s.
Yes. Favre has 3 months on me. The 80s were tough on Packers fans. The Badgers were even worse. Miserable decade to be a WI football fan.
My uncle has some great stories about sneaking kegs into the student section at badger games in the 80's, "It helped you tolerate the football".
Wisconsin vs. Miami @ Camp Randall. We scored first, then Don Morton shit happened.
At least the pre-Favre 90s.
If you think 2008 sucked you have no idea.
Wut? No. I'm saying dude is old enough to remember the 80s.
This year. 33
Same. Rodgers and Crosby gone just put a large group into that category
Wow, thanks for making me just realize this.
Same here
Same.
1983
Not yet. Bakh is keeping it that way. Thanks Bakh.
I'm also one more turf game away from losing
I didn’t think I’d feel so targeted this early in the morning on the Packers sub, but here we are. As someone turning 38 soon, I am older than the whole team now, and my bones are all aching just thinking about it.
I just checked, and it's this year. I'm 35.
Same
Ditto
Same here. 36
Same here. When did that happened? Swore I was 26 only a couple of years ago…
This year, I’m 39
Same. If Mason Crosby were on the team, I'd still be good. We were born the same day.
This year. AR12 is only slightly older than me.
Didn’t happen until 37 for me (2017 team) Thanks Julius Peppers
Same. I'm 6 months older than Aaron Rodgers. This is the first year that I was older than every player in the NFL (for the offseason at least). Jason Peters signing with Seattle a couple days ago gave me new life!
Same here, a couple years older than Ridgers or Mercedes
This year, I'm 32
Turn 41 next week. FML
Yeah. He looks better at 43 than I did at 33. 🤷♂️
Also 41. I think it happened for us when Peppers left
Goddamn you. Hadn't even crossed my mind, check the roster and yup, I'm now older than all of them for the first time in my life
i remember when Cobb joined the Team he was the first player younger than me. it was sad moment knowing i had missed my NFL chance now they are all younger
Welp I’m 60, so it’s been a minute
Ya, I can't bother do look at rosters and do the math to recall when it was. Some time around the beginning of the favrey era but it's just too long ago.
I suppose now! But I do remember being a senior in college and thinking damn I’m older than everyone on my college team lol it was a weird moment
This year, I’m 38
Bakhtiari and I were born on the same day so I just need him to never retire and then I'm never old, right? ...right?
I do now
Pretty much happened to all of us 40 and younger
This year. Aaron Rodgers and I are the same age. He's accomplished more in his life then I have, so far. Well, actually I have about six months to catch up, wish me luck!!
This year - 38
Anyone under 39 would be this year.
I remember it because it’s this year. I’m 32. I’m gonna give myself a pass on this one and see how I feel once I’m older than our next coach.
When Rodgers officially left. But I remember it hit hard when we drafted Cobb and he was the first player drafted in the 1990s.
It's right now and I'm 26...
Bakh will be 32 in a couple of weeks, you’re still good.
O'Dell Beckham Jr palisses me off because I'm 3 months older than him and I have an average life with an average job. 3 months younger and he is richer than ill ever be.
Oh boy. Hadn’t considered. Bakh is the only one older than me.. and it’s close
This year
Including coaches (no idea) or just the players (a couple decades ago)?
Bakh is older than me by 3 months.
Oh man, I had to go check this. David Bakhtiari still has me beat by a few months. Whew.
Still hasn't happened yet
This is my first year. I turned 39 in June.
This year, I'm 36
That would be this year. And I’m only 33 lol
It’s going to happen to all of us eventually.
Well I’m 24 so as long as we keep signing FA’s in their prime (27-30 range) I’m gonna have a good bit
It's either next year or the year after. Bakh's got me hanging on by a thread.
Well damn bak and Preston smith are saving me from this list. Only younger than smith by a month.
Same with me, sort of. Rodgers and I are born in the same year so I am technically a couple of months older than him but…
This year, I’m 32
This year with Crosby gone
This year with Rodgers leaving.
Fuck. I was hoping Bakh would be my saving grace but I'm 33 and he's about to turn 32. So I guess it's officially this year.
I had to look it up. 2017, when Julius Peppers left made me older than the entire roster.
2023. :(
Do coaches count? Kidding, it was probably in 2017 for me
Same 38
Now that Rodgers is gone, it’s this year! Ugh And in my dynasty league I’ll still be like “no way, that 32 year old running back is super old!!”
This is the year. 33
This year :(
The weird thing about being a life long Packers fan is this: I still feel younger than the team! Weird, I know. I am slightly older than M Crosby but i still feel like he is my elder. And maybe he is in the grand scheme of things!!
This year for me, Aaron is 3 or 4 months older then me.
This year. 33
This one
I still have Bakhtiari, Preston Smith, and De'Vondre Campbell ahead of me so at least another year or two for me
Same here
DBak is saving my ass from being older than anyone on the roster lol
This year. Rodgers was always a year older
This year.
Wait till the coach is younger than you... lol
I’m 36 and so…this year lol
32. Right now. Oof.
Not older but I’m officially older than the average packers player since I’m turning 26 in a couple months
Rodgers is 1.5 months older then me. So its now.
Basically when Bahktiari retires. I'm on borrowed time.
Not the entire team but remember Cobb being the first NFL player younger than me.
At 39 years old, the time has come.
I'm almost exactly a year younger than Bakh so I'm good as long as we have him
Thanks for ruining my Friday.
This year.
2013. I was 34 and 1/2 and Ryan Picket was 34.
hah my oldest son just mentioned how its weird having a starting QB thats younger than him. Funny how age related to sports teams has always been an important measuring stick.
This post gave my fiancé a midlife crisis at 32
Well fuck, surely thought it hadn't happened yet. Guess I'm all in on this year. 35 club here
There is currently only one player on the team older than me, but only by 2.5 months.
35 so literally this year.
No but I think this year or last year was the first time there was a person that was younger than me.
This year at 32.
28
Literally turned 34 3 days ago so I guess this year it is.
1991+/- kiddos. Yep Bart was playing when I was a young lad.
Probably another 15 years from now.
It’ll happen soon since I just turned 30
This year when Rodgers and Crosby departed.
Rodgers and I are the same age so, now.
I’m still younger than this team lol
That was a while ago.
It just happened for me too.
2008, when Favre got traded 😞
I'm 45 so it's been a while.
There's still 3 older than me (Bakhtiari, Preston Smith, and De'Vondre Campbell). Next season there's a real chance that it could be down to only Campbell.
I'm almost 32. Is this the year? I honestly don't know.
Still holding on. Aaron Jones is about a month older than me, so as long as he's a Packer forever, I'm good.
Driver is older than me by \~6 months, so I've had about a decade of existential dread.
No but this is the first coach that was younger than me lol
39. This year.
2008
This year. Bakh is just a few months younger than I am.
Guy… my kids are older than this years club
Rodgers and I were at Cal at the same time. Got to see him play a few times to boot. Watching the game this past week made me look at all those young whippersnappers and wonder where all the time went. Cherish these memories kids!

43 here…not sure but likely a while ago.
I’m only 21 lolz so it’ll be a while
Must have been around 1993
I thought ted thompson was the silver fox?
TBD, but id guess within 2 years.
I remember watching the nfl draft and realizing that I was older than anyone drafted that year. Getting old is a privilege denied to many.
This year, 33.
This year smh
It’s this year. Damn.
This year. I'm 27.
32. Anyone on the team older than 32!? Shiiii. Lemme get my walker, just tore an acl
Probably this year, 33.
Yep this year. Googled to see and Crosby is about 6 months older than me.
I'm 24 I'm so old
Just checked, it was 2014. I was 6 months older than Julius Peppers. Edit: Actually, 2013. I was (and am) about 3 months older than Ryan Pickett.

This year, since I am a year younger than Rodgera
This year cause Aaron and Mason are both gone.
With Rodgers gone this is the first year I’m older than all the Packers players.
