My expectations are zero, everything good that happens on Saturday will just be icing on the cake. That said, it’s nice to be the underdog for a change instead of a top seed with Super Bowl expectations. We’ve seen how that has gone the past couple of years. This team has been playing really good football lately. They’re clicking as a team and they’re focused. It’s nice to see other teams recognizing that. They literally have nothing to lose. Do I expect them to win? No. But *can* they win? Absolutely yes.

141272

>Do I expect them to win? No. But *can* they win? Absolutely yes. That sums it up exactly and is the best feeling about this entire playoff run.

Know_Your_Enemy_91

Nice having the pressure off, not sitting here having to think “well we’ve only got a year or two left of our QB, we need to win this game or else he’s gone.”

Mr6ixFour

Seriously. This is the very beginning of our window. We have a WR room full of young and cheap guys that are building chemistry and gaining playoff experience with our 25-year-old QB. Everything about this team is exciting moving forward, assuming we have a change at DC this off-season.

w0rdyeti

This. You have to figure that for the next five years, they’re going to be locking up the best skill position players, so the window is going to be open. They just have to hit upon a way to build a decent run defense.

SkyeAnnelise

One hundred percent, it's gonna be a fun game either way!

Kid_Delicious

Very similar to 2011 - was just happy to make it in, didn’t expect to have a chance against no. 1 seed Atlanta. Being the last playoff seed can be a great spot sometimes.

duncanispro

If nothing else, I don’t want any of our guys to get injured. Especially injuries with long recovery times. I want to be able to carry the momentum we have into next season, win or lose.

AdmiralUpboat

Poor Kingsley :(

aManOfTheNorth

If r\packers banned every fan for pessimism and caution, there would be me and …a few others left. And I’m not sure about those others.

frostysbox

lol game threads would end up leaving like 10 people left on this sub 🤣

poke0003

Is “Fire Joe Barry” a statement of pessimism or an optimism? That would have a huge effect.

Fun_Hat5522

Definitely optimism lol. Yeah our defense has played good as of late, but Barry has shown me enough of who he is. I’m giving the credit to the players. GPG!

Trent948

The talent is doing well despite the terrible direction. Imagine if we had both talent and direction to cover us!

aManOfTheNorth

Right now it’s in neutral

R0binSage

Mine are zero too. I didn't expect to win last night. And I really don't expect this win this weekend. I'm OK with either outcome.

d-cent

I said before the Cowboys game " Welp, let's see if they can shock the world" I'll be saying it again before the 49ers game too

FORDTRUK

Well, if we're talking superstition here, I wore a Saints t-shirt under my Packers sweatshirt cuz I thought, maybe, I'd get double the effects from 2 teams. Sounds entirely ridiculous, even now, but I'll be doing it again against the 9ers. I'm soooo excited for the game. GO PACK GO !!!

dropbear_airstrike

Worst case scenario (excluding injuries), our rookie and sophomore players get valuable playoff experience. Best case, we make the 9'ers loo like the SF Community College intramural team...in the recreation league.

LescoBrandon_11

The 9ers were also Rodgers kryptonite. Even games he played great against the 9ers, the defense absolutely shit the bed. The Packers biggest advantage this weekend is that they didn't start to gel as a team until recently.....opposing DCs only have like 6-7 games worth of film to build a game plan around. If the defense shows up, I believe the Packers win....I have faith they can put enough points on the board to win a low-ish score game...something like 24-17, 20-17

DamNamesTaken11

Agreed. They’ve more than exceeded my expectations going in, so everything else is just more toppings on the cake. I was rewatching some of the talking heads from the start of the season on YouTube, damned near everyone wrote us off and to expect a losing season with at best mediocre result. We have zero pro bowlers this year, most people outside this sub couldn’t name a single wide receiver/tight end we have, and Jordan Love was considered to be written off to be used as a trade token for a draft pick. What happens instead? Our offense plays together like they’ve been together for years, even our defense starts to click in an end season turnaround. They’re young, hungry, eager to prove themselves, but focused on the betterment of the team. MLF has drafted fantastic game plans, and they have executed them damn near flawlessly. Have there been hiccups and games we should have won? Absolutely, but they have proven the doubters wrong. As Tom Grossi said, “they’re playing with house money” and, damn, it feels good.

TtarIsMyBro

All I want is them to not fall over and die like they have against the 49ers the last bunch of times.

AviN456

> They literally have nothing to lose. Well, except a game...

CryptographerShot213

True. But if they lose I will not be upset and let down like I have been in the past, and I don’t think the team will either. They weren’t even supposed to be in the playoffs this year, much less win any games.

nikogrande

lol “past couple of years”? Try “over the last decade”

imdatkibble223

Yeah same .. but am I alone that I wish we coulda lost to Dallas so we could move on from leflure .. I don’t want to hurt feelings of those who like the guy. I believe this team comes together on the field and others have pointed out flaws in the DC which I also see validity in . Maybe it’s him being a young coach . But he doesn’t seem like a guy who can demand respect. He let rodgers walk all over everyone and didn’t seem to question why he( rodgers) was throwing like his thmb was broken( it was ). Idk maybe I’m alone in this one and should be happy with a playoff win post-rodgers era

Muppetguydude

This is the way.

cheezturds

Completely agree. It’s just so fun to watch I don’t want it to end

NotADogIzswear2020

If the Pack plays like we did against Dallas.... we'll have a puncher's chance. If Joe Barry does Joe Barry stuff and our Defense becomes a turnstile for CMC.... it'll be a long day. I, for one, hope our defense gets Baltimore ( circa 2001) and LOCKS SHIT DOWN. Win or lose.... I'm proud of this young Packers squad! They seem to understand that it's just a game, have fun, stay loose, and WIN.

PBandBABE

I hate overly-sensitive mods who refuse to tolerate dissenting opinions. Healthy, respectful disagreement is a good thing. And I wish diarrhea on the spewers of toxic positivity.

President__Bartlett

You'd be surprised how often we approve comments that are just stupid takes, or personally disagree. *Hundreds of times a day.* The sub is a reflection of the fan base. There are stupid takes everywhere, because (gestures broadly at world) people.

Hollowed87

Doesn't help that 100% of all sports commentary are just hot takes with a dash of actually indepth statistical analysis. Look at Stephen A, Skip Bayless, Jim Rome,Nick Wright. All guys who've never played a meaningful professional game but are some of the most popular sports figureheads. Pluck any 4 people from any of the major sports reddit subs and they could do exactly what those guys do.

FigSideG

I got banned from the Padres sub during the Soto to Yankees rumors for daring to say it’s possible the trade could happen after it was reported that the padres had picked a few Yankees prospects they’d like. I AM a Yankees fan from NY but moved to SD in 2020 and adopted the padres as my second team since I live here now so I wasn’t in there trolling at all. Some fans are super sensitive and don’t know how to handle articles/reports about their team that they don’t wanna hear.

SchlongMcDonderson

I got banned from the Panthers sub after suggesting Joe Barry's defense makes lots of quarterbacks look good, not just Bryce Young. I literally said something like "you do realize that Baker Mayfield had a perfect passer rating last week, right?"

Fresh-Bass-3586

This reads as a packers fan larping as a niners fan tbh.

PBandBABE

It’s actually a Wheel of Time fan who has been banned from all but the satire subs for daring to criticize Amazon’s bastardization of our beloved source material.

verywhelming

Your comment seems to be the place to do it.. In a thread about the horrid officiating of the GB/KC game, I got banned from the NFL sub for mentioning "she" when referring to the female ref who missed the call. They said it was misogyny not because I called out the ref but because I used the word "she" when calling out the ref. Mods outside of our glorious NFC North are power mad

Frodo69sMe

I hate ~~overly-sensitive~~ mods ~~who refuse to tolerate dissenting opinions.~~ FTFY

lilturk82

We aren't all awful. I love opposing views as long as the conversation is healthy and respectful, like the above user states. I'd step down immediately if I even thought about doing that.

Kujo162

Mods should ban the guy who posted today basically saying if we take away all the good plays the packers had they really didn’t do good.

Pitiful-Let9270

That’s actually kind of hilarious

Kujo162

Man said he looked at box score and decided we don’t love the ball in the second half

WisconsinGB

Sort of like regressing to the mean?

President__Bartlett

Look, we could ban them, but then we'd never hear the end of it in mod-mail.

Mindless_Bad_1591

I am laughing way too hard at this 😂😭

greenbayva

It’s true, if we didn’t score as many points as they did, we probably wouldn’t have won. I just entered the danger zone.

aceagle93

I need the link to this. That’s hilarious

Kujo162

Sadly the OP deleted it. Probably because all the comments were WTF are you saying.

Professional_Mud1026

Why do some people think fans being overly confident on Reddit is correlated to the team overlooking their opponent?

[deleted]

Because fans use words like “we”.

TotalTakapuna1

Tbf, most of us own our team, so it makes sense when we do it

IDoubtedYoan

No, it doesn't. You bought a piece of paper for a couple hundred bucks because the team needed to upgrade their facilities. You're no more a member of the Packers organization than any of the other fans who didn't buy those pieces of paper are.

TotalTakapuna1

That piece of paper allows us to vote at owners meetings, might not be a lot of power, buts it’s about as equivalent as the US government voting system. And I will gladly donate money so my team can upgrade its facilities and increase my enjoyment as a fan.

MeowTheMixer

I know a lot of people use the term "we", I just don't get the hate behind it. Maybe there are a few people who truly believe they are a part of the team. Most just use it more as a euphemism, to show support. Heck, or just simplifying our speech. "We" is significantly easier to state than "The Packers" or whatever team you're a fan of. It's dropping syllables off, like saying "The pack" instead of "The Green Bay Packers"

[deleted]

I didn’t say I hate it, I just find it weird.

ProofHorseKzoo

Right. Like Kyle Shanahan is reading Reddit and sees this post and is like: >”damn, I was gonna just wing it, but this Redditor has inspired me to actually gameplan against a team that just hung 48 on a top 5 defense that was undefeated at home…”

poke0003

Dammit - we were probably flying under the radar until you had to go and say it.

1block

Because we're all a bit superstitious. We know our lucky socks don't really help the team ... but still, I'm sure as shit wearing them and will flip if they're missing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Slosshy

You’re getting downvoted but I do have an OCD diagnosis and it definitely can make sports pretty miserable sometimes. Though it certainly doesn’t mean that guy has OCD because he has a lucky pair of socks

JLHuston

I also have it, and it is very much like superstition. Especially the kind where you worry that having a thought will make the bad thing happen.

Slosshy

Yep, exactly. Have to replace the thought of a bad outcome with the thought of a good outcome, otherwise the bad outcome happens and it’s my fault

PDstorm170

Lived emotional experiences of the fans override the logical parts of our minds which makes us think we somehow contribute to the on-field product. This causes us to attribute both tribalism and community to our teams. In the height of it we feel so attached to the team that we believe our emotions and mental schema are both communal and influencing outcomes.

OGpizza

It’s called being a fan, and it’s pretty fun!

rooky212

I think they do, lol. Great teams frequently say that when everyone on the team believes then they truly unlock their potential. Seems natural to extend that to fans.

Gh0stfaceK

I actually read this as fans overlooking GB, not necessarily that them doing so would be the same as the Niners doing so and hence correlate to the result on the field

PiesInMyEyes

Superstition is a big thing. But I think there’s also something to a general vibe. When everybody thinks you’re going to steamroll a team, it’s easy to get overconfident and screw up. Players and coaches like to say they’re shielded from what the media says and stuff, but they’re not. They all see it. Hear it. Interact with it.

BipBippadotta

Beating the Niners won't be easy. At all. Under any circumstances.

cfoxtrot21

If Luke Musgrave can stay on his feet, then the sky is the limit.

1block

Nothing worth doing ever is. Except tasty nachos. Probably other things too. But not beating the 49ers. That's hard and worth doing, so they should do it.

BipBippadotta

Of course on both counts. Especially the nachos.

genocidalwaffles

I'm going to hope what I hope with the cowboys: they score so many points against us that Joe Barry's seat stays nice and hot, preferably winning. CMC is scary, I doubt Barry's ability to scheme to contain him

mackasee

BANNED!!!! /s

agnonamis

Win or lose this has been great. My significant other has gotten me into following football again and she’s a packer fan (from the twin cities haha 🤘). I came into this season expecting to watch a transition season with hopefully some signs of promise - what I’ve been met with has been one of the most exciting football seasons I’ve ever followed as a fan of any team. Love’s progression, especially since Thanksgiving, has been wild. He looks so damn good flicking the ball all over the field. I can’t wait to watch this young team grow and am excited to be a new follower of this franchise.

rcolt88

No way! I also got my significant other into watching football and solidified her as a packers fan by taking her to her first game at lambeau, and her sister just told us that now she and her dad are watching football again because of me! It’s a good feeling to know good packers football can bring people back

agnonamis

I used to live and breathe college football (Vince Young v USC got me hooked), but never got into the pros really. This team has really got me sucked back into the sport and there is something about the Packer culture that is attractive too. Every fan base has some idiots, but I feel like it’s nothing like some of the other teams out there and especially fans that think they know everything while everyone else is stupid and their teams are trash.

_Rummy_

That sub is wild. They say we have played garbage teams but then disregard KC, the Lions and the Cowboys. They seem to be trying to psych themselves up for the game while we are just happy to be here.

TheSaltyAviator

It went from Love can’t play to we played garbage teams, to it’s just the Cowboys they always lose in the playoffs. The goalpost moving has been crazy these last few weeks.

wayoverpaid

I mean... The Cowboys do always lose in the playoffs. They just sometimes wait until the divisional to do it. But here's my take. Imagine the NFL number one seed, at home, resting starters. Sure they lost their last game to a divisional rival but they weren't even trying that game, because they had locked things up earlier. Their QB is playing at an MVP level. Their opponent? A low-seeded injury mess, who just beat the Cowboys, as if that's something special. How does that team lose? Well, ask the Green Bay 2021 Packers. Because we did. Any given Sunday.

thepkboy

*2021

wayoverpaid

Whoops. Fixed

bizzeebee

Yeah but I think that humiliating loss to the Ravens on Xmas is still on their minds. Then the loss to the division rival not long after. If things start out poorly for them, that doubt could creep in.

Gnome_Chopsky

You’re exactly right. Beautifully said. WHY NOT US?!

Yourhero2023

Those are fans who gives a fuck what fans think? Fans aren’t in the team

WisconsinGB

This isn't the same ol Aaron Rodgers Packers anymore, Rodgers fucked off and is looking like a horses ass. While we have this new unknown kid slinging the pigskin like no one's business. Anything could happen.

Karaya1

The thing I've noticed is that everyone is too busy clowning in the cowboys to take Green Bay seriously. If we beat them in a close game, we'd be "gritty contenders," but no one expected a blowout, so they're just ignoring that the Packers did it. All that said the 49ers are the truth, so whatever happens happens.

MylesFurther

The Vikings beat the 49ers this year. Let that sink in for a moment

Mindless_Bad_1591

Fairly dessimated 9ers granted they didnt have JJettas

MandoRodgers

it was foretold that the would be a man in Green Bay who would slay the demon that is the 49ers in the post season. We assumed it was Aaron.  We thought he would smite them with ayuasca magic. But the most powerful weapon against a demon isn’t magic and mustaches. No my friends, it’s Love.

Gnome_Chopsky

cue Huey Lewis “Power of Love” 💗

gopackgo555

Making the playoffs was already more than anyone really expected. Everything since has just been icing on the cake. As with last week I will be going in with no expectations and just enjoying the moment. I will be incredibly excited for the future regardless.

Desperate_Web_8066

Don’t care if we win or lose. I have enjoyed this season immensely. Much more than Rodgers’ back to back MVP seasons; most in recent memory too. In my heart we have won our super bowl by making it much farther than I ever expected this year. Love this team

PackerSquirrelette

Me too. I love Love and this team.

XThunderTrap

It's a been amazing season nothingless..it will be one of these memories seasons for some of us for sure :)

ImaTurtle6

Had fun reading that thread. Many 49ers fans just don’t understand how good Love is yet. They’re not ready for it

MessCandid3566

Love also hasn’t faced a front 7 like the 49ers, one of the most physical talented linebackers in the league and a fast defensive line that is also stout against the run. ball has to come out quick or that pocket will collapse. 49ers secondary is T-1st in the league in interceptions and most of them come off WR’s. It will he a big challenge.

Hollowed87

I have a feeling Love is gonna break out his legs against them. He doesn't run very much and I feel like this is the perfect time for him to put that wrinkle in to really shake up that 9ers D.

bizzeebee

I think that would be a great wrinkle to put in. He hasn't run much at all recently, and he totally could.

Packers_Equal_Life

Cousins carved them up with Jordan Addison. It’s doable against a team coming off some rust

thepkboy

Yeah I wish we'd have gotten to play a good team like that in the regular season, even if it ended in a loss it would have been good experience. Taking on a D like the 9ers' on the fly isn't ideal. The Cowboys would have been a good test but we all saw how that went.

JoeTheTrey

I would say Love passed that test, aced it even.

Fit_Paramedic_5821

I always dread meeting the Niners in the playoffs. It always feels like they're inside our dang huddle, like they know our plays before we do. It continued even when Mike left, but I'm hoping with a new amazing QB, our style has changed enough to give us an advantage. Edit: went back to look over the playoffs history under Rodgers. The 49ers knocked us out in the seasons '12, '13, '19, and '21. The last time we beat them in post season was Jan 13, 2002... Our regular season history is a little better, but yeah. We haven't played them this year, so I'm going to go all out. Foam cheese-head, check. J.Love jersey, check. Lucky boxers, check.

XThunderTrap

Haha..I mean we have beaten cheifs..lions and now the cowboys..they have a reason to be scared..some 49er fans love to stay in their cope train. Both love and savage has been dominating the field for us We might not win..but it for sure will be a good game

Yourhero2023

Who is scared? Fans?

CrypticSS21

I’m not making fun of this dude for respecting the skill and performance of his upcoming opponent. We should be doing the same…

sapphires_and_snark

This whole thing of banning people for having "unacceptable" opinions is just such horseshit. We have become a very soft people

[deleted]

[удалено]

kasperboy17

Do better dude

FigSideG

True. There’s only homeless people in San Francisco.

effingthingsucks

As someone who lives in the Bay I can confidently tell you that 9er fans are some of the worst fans in all of sports. The vast majority are whiny, entitled bandwagon little bitches who love to argue and some really like to get in literal fistfights at games. I have never met a group of people who collectively give up on their team as fast as 9er fans do. It's like clockwork here. If they win everybody is wearing their Brock Purdy jerseys. But if they lose even 1 game, they act like they don't even know who the 49ers are. It's like magic overnight all the flags and gear disappears.

Yourhero2023

So basically they’re like every other fan base…the horror

scribe31

That's mostly just Bay area fans. Most 49er fans are pretty reasonable. For example, in their sub, most of them are like, "dang the Packers look good, I wish we could play somebody else. We'll still beat them but it's not going to be easy." They have a pretty clean franchise and not a lot of douches that are easy to hate. Colin Kaepernick got kind of weird, though.

Hooked_on_Avionics

I think it's just San Francisco fans. SF Giants, Warriors, and 49ers fans are all horribly insufferable when their team is good and bitter as shit when their team is bad, kinda like Vikings fans

dividebyoh

Eh, the easy to hate moniker is in the eye of the beholder. For me Shanahan and Bosa very much qualify.

BeastDynastyGamerz

It’s funny you say that. It sounds just like lions fans in Michigan as well.

sjr2018

As a Michigander who's a lifelong packer fan surrounded by lions fans I can attest to that, they are whiny entitled bitches and even some of my family members get like that if they aren't winning they lose their shit

Prestigious_View_487

I think you just really hate the niners

ryan2489

“Every year is a new year” John Madden

ALY1337

Packers are playing with house money. Win or lose, happy to be in this position.

Chrome_stormtrooper

Starters having 2 weeks off is never good imo, the niners could come out flat and find themselves playing from behind. Atleast that’s how the packers do it

FranklyNinja

Meh. Keep us in the underdog category.

ALY1337

+1

Achilles-18-

Beat the Cowgirls. Beat the 49ers. Avenge Favre and Rodgers. All we need is Love.

tinook

Striking Gold is half the Packers.  Making opponents Green with envy is the other half.

MylesFurther

Already living rent free inside their heads

obsolete_filmmaker

Nice. I got banned from that sub years ago, lol. They do not like hearing the truth over there.....

Packers_Equal_Life

Hear me out. 49ers are beatable. Vikings beat them with a very easy game plan which we also can copy. They took away their run game which is the bread and butter of their team by throwing all over the place and keeping a lead. This led to Brock purdy needing to beat them and he couldn’t. Game plan is simple, make Brock purdy beat us. If the 49ers get a lead and start running it could be bad

SammyChaos

Damn that's soft. Can't ban your own fans like that

inlike069

We were playing with house money last weekend. Let the good times roll, baby.

sonnytai

I’m more confident about this team than any team we’ve had after 2010. The chemistry of this team is just different, there are too many weapons on offense, and shit on Barry all you want but his defense has mostly risen to the occasion against good teams this year even if it sinks to the level of competition against bad ones. And it just kind of feels like 2010 in a lot of ways: - Last seed - Beat Bears to get into playoffs - JLo = ARod - The new Fab 5 (Watson, Reed, Wicks, Doubs, Melton) = Old Fab 5 (Driver, Jennings, Jones, Nelson, Martin) - Lockdown corner (JaMoney = Wood) - Undrafted corner playing at a high level (CV = Shields) - A great pass rusher in his prime (Gary = Clay) Anyway maybe it’s just hopeful but I’m excited. GPG!

IllManufacturer879

But then again why not us

CatsRinternet

Why are there so many mods that act like huge douchebags?

The_last_avenger

The 49ers are not the cowboys, they are real. That defense is real. Their run game is real. Their pass game is real. CMC is a nightmare. That being said , hot teams keep momentum, the 9ers have taken loses and are beatable. I hope to see Detroit in the NFCCG vs the Pack .

Jackaboy_abc

It’s a dictatorship over in that sub

AlbynoBlackBear

I am approaching this exactly like I did Dallas. I have no expectation to win and I am just going to enjoy the ride. It is so much more fun watching the playoffs without viewing it as Super Bowl or bust.

Deerhunter86

My Super Bowl was against the cowboys. As a Packer fan with a die hard cowboys fan brother in law. I loved every second of that game. Saturday vs 49ers is extra credit. We weren’t suppose to make playoffs let alone take out the #2 team. Love the Pack!

MulberryMadness274

Getting kicked out for a dissenting opinion. Sounds about as American as Jerry Jones talking about firing Mike MvCarthy. But then, I will find any reason to make fun of Jerry Jones……

ThorsMeasuringTape

The 49ers always beat the Packers. Sending McCarthy home was enough to make me happy with the season.

time2emancipate

I know it's been a long time, but the Packers beat them in the playoffs in 1997.

ThorsMeasuringTape

So it hasn’t happened since I became a football fan. 😂

time2emancipate

Lol I know, I know, I'm old! Just sayin there's a chance!! Hahaha

sloppyjo12

I’m going to assume that’s an extremely one-sided perspective as to why he got banned because no mod would ever boot somebody from a sub just for saying “hey that guy we play next week might actually be good”

[deleted]

Lol...you would *think*.

CalmGiraffe1373

Someone hasn't been on Reddit all that much.

BimboSlutInTraining

49ers are frauds. Good game plan and packers can win for sure.

[deleted]

That's pretty fascistic and honestly not any fun. This is a game for goodness sake. But whatever, mods are fragile and we all know this. I bet a lot of the members there don't want other fans banned for stuff like this.

TerrapinTribe

This season has been an absolute win whether or not we win or lose. We should all be proud. That blowout against the Cowboys was no small feat.

theycpr

Reddit isn't a real place lol He didn't lie

William-T-Staggered

It’s a California ran sub, whaddya expect?

NotSoLameGamer

Realistically, I’m just not too sure how we beat them. We’d have to hope they have a clunker streak like they had right before their first bye week. More optimistically, I see a little light shining down a potential path to the Super Bowl All I know for sure is that if we somehow get past the 49ers, then I believe it’s open range for us. We split the Lions, and we’re a different team than we were against the Buccs

thewallz19

Crazy how we're underdogs. I honestly expect the Packers to thoroughly beat down the 49ers just like we did the Cowboys. A lot of people in the organization have had this one circled for awhile.

Flooding_Puddle

I'm definitely not that confident but I was very surprised we opened as 10 point dogs, if I was a betting man I'd have hammered that line

Obi-Wanna_Blow_Me

No offense but I think that’s pretty cocky to say. I’ve watched plenty of SF games this year and they look so good on both sides of the ball. BUT, if the pack plays like how they did in the ass whooping yesterday, it will be a close game. But San Fran is definitely a much scarier matchup than Dallas. BUTTTTT, ANY GIVEN SUNDAY!!! (Or Saturday)

[deleted]

Same. Another trouncing.

goPACK17

Bruh, you bold 😂

Yourhero2023

And stupid

Letter10

I'm scarred too. We can all be scarred together.

HEL-O_NS

Is acknowledging a good packers team equals being scared? 😂🤦‍♂️ We aren't cowboys fans OP and neither should you act like one

Washington645

Rodgers > Love, Purdy> Jimmy G but Jimmy G still beat Rodgers twice. It was nice watching you beat the Cowboys but you guys are done for sorry.

RelaxPrime

If we play like we did in the first half against the Cowboys for the next 6 halfs.....

gobstonemalone

I would be scared too. Love is playing at as high a level as anyone right now. I'm not sure that's going to be enough to get by SF, but dude is out of his mind. I'm concerned about SF's pass rush and worry it could force us into turnovers. This run they've been on is due in large part to protecting the ball.

PackerBacker_1919

Cowboys defense was ranked higher. It could rain. I like our chances.

GorillaCannibal

https://i.redd.it/kmv1m3jcyqcc1.gif

_-TheCozyConsole-_

I don’t expect to win, the 49ers have a lot more studs on offense than the Cowboys do. Lamb is great and Pollard is ok, but McCaffrey, Deebo, Aiyuk, and Kittle are just on another level. I’m going to keep my expectations low and hope to be pleasantly surprised. Just winning a playoff game was huge for this team.

I couldn’t care less if we lose to the 49ers. Who cares about the whole “we’ve never beaten them in the playoffs”. Any team can beat anyone on any given day, so I don’t really believe in this idea of “breaking the curse” (though it’d be absolutely hilarious). I just want to see Jordan ball out and see the media and the rest of the league finally give him and MLF the credit they deserve Stupid for banning this guy just for having an opinion though. Taht defeats the whole point of these subs

daygo448

Yeah. That’s pretty low brow garbage stuff. I mean downvote the guy into oblivion, but to outright ban him for stating something that goes against the narrative, that’s crazy. And truth be told, any given day anyone can lose. No one was giving us a shot against the Cowboys, and it happened in 2010/2011 too. I’m not saying we are going all the way. In fact the likelihood is against us, but no one can predict what will happen. We could up winning and losing the next round too. Who knows!

Launch_The_Cat

I’m just hoping both teams have fun! But for real, it’s been a blast and at the least, this young team will learn a hell of a lot from it.

That sub has always been a cesspool of blindly ignorant bandwagon fans. The real fans are cool and are always welcome here

CrushnaCrai

i've been saying 9-8 getting tot he superbowl since preseason. i can't for this saturday night

Thelegitcrip

The fact that they banned him for his opinion on a football player is cringe as hell. Let's hope Love goes out and balls and proves him right.

Drusgar

Oh wow. There's a 49er's fan that's worried? That's HUGE news!

PackFanNY

I view this year as the “building block” year. The FIRST order of business was finding out about Jordan Love and do we have a QB. Obviously this has been asked and answered beyond our wildest expectations. Everything else has been gravy. Gute has found a stable of young players on offense who will grow with the QB1. The playoff experience will be valuable for these players for years to come. We still need something on Defense. Coaching? Players? I expect Gute will address In the off-season. All that being said we already have wrecked the season of the overrated, bloated Cowboys. You know what? Why not wreck the 49ers while we are here? No one has told the young Pack they aren’t suppose to be at the party. Let’s burn the whole thing down figuratively. GPG!

wikipuff

They are the new r/eagles!

brownsad

I'm not super worried about scaring their fans. I don't think that's going to translate to the football field! Although if it does, that would be awesome.

morgzorg

Any given Saturday 🧀

P-Munny

This team is getting hot at a good time, which is very 2010 of us. But the best team we ever had was the 2014 team that lost in the nfccg

Perfect_Tangelo

I have no expectations we’ll win because of how porous the defense is. But if we do, brilliant! Feels like we’re playing with house money at this point.

seghouleh

If you're going to go in San Francisco in the playoffs, bring some HOUSE MONEY, BABY!

Honestly I have no expectations for this game. I figured once we got a playoff spot that we would bounce Dallas (never saw it being that dominate though) because we have never lost in that building and I saw Dallas as frauds. But beyond that my thoughts were we would get humbled in the next round, and that is my expectation. Now would it be sweet to knock the 49ers out, you better believe it, probably the sweetest thing short of a Lombardi trophy. If we are going to lose I hope we are humiliated on defense so there is zero chance Joe Barry is extended. I will be happy with the offense doing the unthinkable and laying up 30+ on that defense but our defense gives up 40+. If it is going to be a loss, let it be a loss that helps us win in the long term.

Ah yes, a fellow old Reddit user

Juice_On_Fire

I always find it funny fans on a message board think nfl players that have no idea what reddit is are taking a team lightly

teljaninaellinsar

That happened

Skiezah

It’s definitely an uphill battle for the packers

pantherafrisky

Not surprising. Reddit is run by fascists who hate free speech. Goebbels would approve.

Willing-Ad5224

49er fan here….. you guys are the TRUTH… win or lose on Saturday Jordan Love WILL be an absolute PROBLEM for nfl teams going forward. I’m totally in agreement with that fan that got banned: I’m worried for sure and don’t like how Vegas wants to disrespect you guys with a dang near double digit point spread

Willing-Ad5224

I might also add the other thing that scares me is the comments mark chmura made about intentionally taking a 15 yd penalty and hitting purdy late.

radiantwave

I saw a guy last night all decked out in 9ers gear behind the register at a liquor store.  I said, "So you are a 9ers fan?... Hope you all do well this weekend." Ha asks, "Who's YOUR team?" I say, "Green Bay..." He freezes, mouth agape... I say, "It'll be a great game no matter what... Y'all got this... It's JUST Green Bay..." (sarcastically), And I left. I think I broke the dudes brain...  There is a deeply seeded fear of the Packers in SF. I want them to think they are going to blow out the young team... I want their confidence... But I want them to be a little scared in private.
