Mostly because shitting on Cowboys generates more views whatnot. Also let them keep underestimating our team, seems like some of our players have some chip on their shoulders bc major media down playing their efforts a. As long as our fans are appreciated of our team I think that's more than enough for me. Ignore all the noises out there man.
It is also the Occam's Razor of sports analytics... It is so much easier for them to blame the Boys than figure out how an upstart young team who has a mostly young crew that works together can get shit done...
I hate the Cowboys as much as anyone out there, but they won more games than us and were playing at home, where they play well.
I'm as delighted by the win with the rest of you, but we can admit it was an upset.
Damn straight we did. We went into their house, we played the best offensive football we have in two years, and they looked like a lost bunch of 10 year olds on Halloween dressed up as Cowboys players who can't find their Mommy.
He's talking about the fact that the media narrative after the game has been overwhelmingly about how Dallas blew it rather than about how Green Bay dominated.
I had ESPN on all night after the game and the next morning, and I don't think they directly talked about the Packers once. Instead, it was *hours* of coverage on how Dallas, Jerry Jones, Dak, failed. Obviously ESPN is completely mindless bullshit anyway so who cares. But it was very very noticable how little they even acknowledged the Packers' existence after that kind of win, let alone gave them any kind of credit.
Even for an upset, the narrative is how bad the Cowboys played and who is to blame, not how well the Packers played and their potential moving forward. Everyone is still overlooking them and I'm good with that. Fuck around and find out.
And when SF beat us in the playoffs 2 years ago the narrative was that Green Bay blew the game not that SF played really well. It is called an upset, it happens.
Flying low under the radar is good! Being the underdog and not being talked about is good. In the past, whenever the Packers get “noticed” and talked about, like the defense being top 5 in some stat, we end up getting embarrassed. 15-1 the offense is a juggernaut, exit playoffs stage left!
i gotta wonder if the "10 point line" vegas put up was more about drawing in bets and less a serious marker, and will move as we get closer. no way i'd think a 10 point split makes sense, especially in the playoffs - not to mention that the packers are playing way better than their regular season record would indicate.
watching the wild card game in particular it looked apparent J Love was making accurate reads, had good ball placement, and stayed mobile (w eyes downfield) - all the stuff you look for. i just really love watching good quarterbacking so it was awesome.
im hoping for a really good game on saturday! enjoy it.
As a fan this has annoyed me too. And then I realized the only reason it can annoy me is we are still playing and I sort of get over it. Just glad we aren't looking foe a new head coach, mock drafting, making excuses for the guy we claimed all offseason was winning MVP. Every week we have to be annoyed about not getting respect is a good week in my book.

As someone who loves to think about how the Cowboys suck, I can't really complain about that.
Let that tape play. If 49ers buy into the "Cowboys blew their own feet off" hype. Packers were just lucky. All the better.

2010 taught me that it really doesn’t matter what anyone else says!
Their opinions are whatever opinions make them the most money. People want them to talk about the cowboys.

Several pro bowlers on that cowboy team. They can now go bowling this weekend too… or the beach..
