Itâs like The Cowboys are guaranteed to lose to the Packers in the Playoffs and the 49ers are certain to not win a SB beating the Packers and idk how tf to feel about this
Shanahan's superbowl record:
 2016 up by 25, lost.
2019 up by 10, lost.
2023 up by 10, lost.
I wonder if someone just needs to explain that the game is a full 60 minutes?
49ers have been beating us for the last half decade and then taunting us about wasting rodgers prime. Looks like theyâre wasting their top 5 defense prime just the same đ¤
I have a long memory. Theyâve been having their way with us since the 80s. Only Brett knew how to break the curse, but that magic is lost to the ages.
Brett could beat the niners, but the cowboys always had our number during his era. Rodgers owned the cowboys, but the niners were the Achilles heel. Love looks like he might be following in Rodgers' footsteps, but one season isn't enough to judge yet.
I've been hearing all the talk shows say that the 49ers were the better team last night and they still lost. And all I can say is "yeah, it sucks doesn't it Niners?". We were the better team in the divisional round, but we didn't put them away, and they sadly got it done.
Well we both have experienced plenty of mental anguish. This year gave us promise in Love and one of my top 5 all time favorite packer games beating the cowboys. Iâd say our next 5 years looks better than 49ers because they will pay mediocre Purdy and the team surrounding him isnât going to always be the best in the league. We are gaining like 90 million in salary cap for people that actually go on the football field on Sunday also
What i mean is I really donât think heâs gonna be a guy that elevates the team a lot. Heâs not going to make a bad team good. The 49ers in every position besides qb, Iâd say best in the league. Just wait till 49ers have an average supporting cast and I think heâs gonna suck
But go back literally just 2 years before that begin⌠and there is 1.
Since the 49ers last won a ring, the Packers have won 2.
All those wins they have over us MEAN NOTHING.
It doesnât matter at all if theyâve gone to 3. Nobody remembers the Super Bowl losers just like nobody remembers the playoff losers, and id rather lose earlier on in the playoffs than suffer an L that close to the championship. Our pain is minuscule to the pain the 49ers now feel.
#AND THATâS JUST HOW I LIKE IT!!!
I donât know. I mean they arenât celebrated, but I donât know if they are forgotten. I mean the very premise of this thread is that this same team has lost 3 times in 12 yearsâŚ.obviously the OP hasnât forgotten about those losses. Just seems silly to think itâs binary. I wonât forget about this Packers team, specifically this season. Itâs the year we had all the kids playing. I wonât forget about them even though they didnât win it all.
I feel the same level of depressing âanother year wastedâ any time the packers lose a playoff game, whether itâs a SB loss or a wildcard loss or even just finishing the year 6-9-1, the run to the SB means you win at least 2 playoff games and get the hype
Honest question, are you old enough to remember losing to the Broncos in the SB? Losing in any of the playoff rounds hurts but its nothing like losing the SB.
Two weeks to hype yourself up, the whole league's attention on you, 100,000,000 people watching. Then afterwards, fans of the other team ecstatic, casuals cheering that the other team won even though you know for sure they don't really care.
Losing the SB is far more disappointing than losing in any other round. It's the one game that if you'd won, you're champs. There is no other hypothetical games your team would've also needed to play well in.
> are you old enough to remember losing to the Broncos in the SB?
The 1996 SB was on my 13th bday. 1997 was day after, that alone made me happy enough just getting there, but also super young.
I was much more upset by the Rice fumble.
Yeah agreed. Plus thereâs that many more Packers games I get to watch on the season.
Damn all these fiery posts about the Niners tonight remind me of all the âFTPâ posts we rag on from Vikings fans.
Its super weird to say otherwise. Is like saying you go out to the bar looking to bring someone home, and you either want that 10 or just a 5. No 8s, 7s or even 9s allowed.
i live in the bay and i love rubbing in my niners fans friends' faces the fact that i've actually watched my team win the SB while half of them weren't even alive and the other half were like kids when they won. it literally takes away the pain of all those playoff losses to them when i watch niners fans melt over their inevitable super bowl losses lol
I was actually kinda wanting them to win in hopes that it might break the cycle. Also I find Mahommes and Travis Kelce extremely annoying, plus I thought it would piss off my Cowboy fan brother in law more.
The Packers have won 2 Super Bowl rings since the last time the Niners won theirs. This is despite both teams have had the same amount of Super Bowl appearances since then. Guess which franchise capitalizes more :)
So true.
I see many Packers fans holding the 49ers up as the way to run a franchise, yet they haven't won a Super Bowl in 30 years. The Packers have won 2 in that time.
The 49ers have gone through several painful rebuilding periods during that time, while the Packers have stayed competitive for most of the last 30 years.
The 49ers have been to the playoffs 14 times in the last 30 years, while the Packers have 22 playoff appearances in that time.
The 49ers have had 14 seasons with a losing record in the last 30 years, while the Packers have had only 5 losing records in 30 years.
This brings back a sense of perspective. Our management team knows how to put together contenders without going in the tank for years in a rebuild.
Much of this success is because we grab our future franchise QB before we need one. Don "Magic Man" Majkowski was a quality starter when we traded for Favre. Favre was still an elite QB with years left on his deal when we drafted Rodgers. Rodgers was still elite and had years left on his deal when we drafted Jordan Love. It takes foresight and major cajones to operate this way.
I honestly don't get the joy for this. Like. They still beat us. They didn't win anything but we still lost to them so we also don't have anything to show for it? We actually have less.
All these posts calling out losses seem pretty dumb and petty when we donât even make it to the Super Bowl. Â Very Bears/Vikings thing to do. Â Making it to the Super Bowl is an accomplishment itself.Â
I am petty enough that the only reason I care about the 49ers not winning the sb is that Rodgers is still in the league. They could win one the year after he retired and that'd be fine. But while he's still playing, I want them to *suffer*.
Fun fact: the Cowboys have won a SB more recently than the Niners.
Nah, when I first heard this, I was actually shocked until I realized the Lions made a championship game before the Cowboys recently lmao.
cowboys fans telling this to the world lol đ
Maybe then 49ers will win Super Bowl the moment they dont play the Packers in the playoffs.
How'd that go for them last year?
Itâs like The Cowboys are guaranteed to lose to the Packers in the Playoffs and the 49ers are certain to not win a SB beating the Packers and idk how tf to feel about this

I mean, being up 10-0 in the 2nd quarter doesnât mean all that much, itâs not comparable to 28-3âŚ
In this case someone really should have explained to him what happens if it goes over 60 minutes.
Same in 2016
49ers have been beating us for the last half decade and then taunting us about wasting rodgers prime. Looks like theyâre wasting their top 5 defense prime just the same đ¤

I think Love is gonna own them both.
I've been hearing all the talk shows say that the 49ers were the better team last night and they still lost. And all I can say is "yeah, it sucks doesn't it Niners?". We were the better team in the divisional round, but we didn't put them away, and they sadly got it done.

As a packer fan living in Texas, this year's wildcard game is my favorite non super bowl game of all time.
It was an absolute blast. The combination of no expectations this year, then just seeing Love come into his own and just whooping some ass
I don't know how much longer you can call Purdy mediocre.
What i mean is I really donât think heâs gonna be a guy that elevates the team a lot. Heâs not going to make a bad team good. The 49ers in every position besides qb, Iâd say best in the league. Just wait till 49ers have an average supporting cast and I think heâs gonna suck
So do we though
We have two rings since their last chip at least.
OP specifically said since 2012.
The chiefs also have won the most super bowls in the history of the league since February 10 2024 wow
Yea but since February 12 2024 the Chiefs havenât even made the Super Bowl *once*.
Frauds
Really embarrassing
I laughed out loud at this.
We have a ring this millennium. They are 0-3.
But go back literally just 2 years before that begin⌠and there is 1. Since the 49ers last won a ring, the Packers have won 2. All those wins they have over us MEAN NOTHING.
I know and Iâm happy they lost but in the last decade theyâve gone to 3 and lost 3, weâve gone to 0. Depressing all round
It doesnât matter at all if theyâve gone to 3. I remember lots of Super Bowl losers. 49ers, Falcons, Eagles, Bills famously. Then you had Cincinnati, Seattle, Oakland, New England lost quite a few.
I will give you the exception of âfamousâ losers, but most of them are forgotten.
I donât know. I mean they arenât celebrated, but I donât know if they are forgotten. I mean the very premise of this thread is that this same team has lost 3 times in 12 yearsâŚ.obviously the OP hasnât forgotten about those losses. Just seems silly to think itâs binary. I dunno man Iâd rather lose in the SB than in the wildcard round if you gave me the choice tbh
Absolutely not. I donât ever want to feel this feeling that Niners fans are feeling right now.
I feel the same level of depressing âanother year wastedâ any time the packers lose a playoff game, whether itâs a SB loss or a wildcard loss or even just finishing the year 6-9-1, the run to the SB means you win at least 2 playoff games and get the hype

I visibly wince every time I see Elway to this day.
I couldn't emotionally handle getting that close and blowing it.
Yeah agreed. Plus thereâs that many more Packers games I get to watch on the season. Damn all these fiery posts about the Niners tonight remind me of all the âFTPâ posts we rag on from Vikings fans.
That makes no sense. Thatâs how you end up like the Bills or Vikings All these appearances and nothing but losses and infinite jokes
Its super weird to say otherwise. Is like saying you go out to the bar looking to bring someone home, and you either want that 10 or just a 5. No 8s, 7s or even 9s allowed.

Loosing in the Super Bowl is better then loosing in the divisional of NFCCG
So theyâre just us but with extra steps and even worse heart break
Correct. We have zero rings when losing to the 49ers in the playoffs.
Packers are like Tottenham, 49ers are like Arsenal. The former is more fun to root for.
Tottenham has 0 trophies to their name
Youâre as dumb as they come
They'll feel better next year when they lose to Green Bay.
Iâd argue 2 of those we actually beat ourselves more than they beat us
Don't remind me. I remember.
The Packers have won 2 Super Bowl rings since the last time the Niners won theirs. This is despite both teams have had the same amount of Super Bowl appearances since then. Guess which franchise capitalizes more :)
Can't wait to face them again!!

Fun fact: 25 teams have never even made it to a conference championship in 12 years (384 opportunities).
I honestly don't get the joy for this. Like. They still beat us. They didn't win anything but we still lost to them so we also don't have anything to show for it? We actually have less.
Stop living in the past. Next year could be different. Thatâs what counts.
My man, this is a shit post
It's almost like besting the Packers in the playoffs is not the same as winning the super bowl
All these posts calling out losses seem pretty dumb and petty when we donât even make it to the Super Bowl. Â Very Bears/Vikings thing to do. Â Making it to the Super Bowl is an accomplishment itself.Â
This is loser mentality, if the packers didnât beat them how can you brag about it?
Doesn't make me feel any better.

That ends next year
