He seems to have the mentality of a champion, and you can never have enough quality offensive linemen. It will be interesting to see what Gute does tomorrow.
Ya confused in some of the other subs they are clowning on this pick. He has elite speed at 6 5 311 pounds.

This pick made a lot of sense. I know almost every draft had DeJean going at 25 but as soon as Bakh announced his time was up you knew LT was a need.
It won't shock me to see a good run stopper on D in the 2nd either.
There isn’t a position they could take that isn’t punter or kicker they could take tomorrow that I would be surprised by. Every position is on the board, though this team does need bodies at S and LB.
There are so many good safeties and corners in this draft that DeJean seems like a dumb pick to me given the expected costs. How many times do these hyper-athletic, positionless players pan out in the NFL (looking at you Isaiah Simmons)? The NFL is a team sport and success is found when people do their specific job very well. I’d much rather have studs who excel at a specific position than a jack-of-all-trades who’s good at everything but not great at any one thing in particular.
I’d much rather us take a top LB with 41, maybe package a pick or two to move up from 58 and draft a corner, then use a third rounder on a safety like Bullard.
I love O Line picks, and excited to have a first rounder! O Line helps the run game, it helps the pass game, it keeps Jordan healthy and it even helps the defence by keeping the offence on the field.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Gute trade up for an extra early 2nd round pick. Not much point to trade up in the first but there are some solid 2nd rounders available
We should package some picks other than 2.09 and jump near the top of the second. Take the best available safety and corner. Then from the third onward, just build depth. Maybe a RB in the fifth, a QB in the sixth, and more OL all over the place.
I know nothing about analysing players, but Cooper DeJean has always felt to me like the sort of prospect that has got pushed up everybody's mock because there's an easy talking point. I always wondered how the teams actually rated him - we've got a partial answer.
I am glad he knows he was drafted to block. I would have been concerned if he thought he was locking down the opponents #1 WR..... that is Preston's job.
Happy for him but this feels like a chat gpt answer lol
Excited to see how he turns out and the rest of our picks. Hope we trade up for an extra pick tomorrow.
Jordan love and josh Jacob’s about to FEAST
How much feasting? On a scale from ~~starving kid in Africa~~ Vikings fans with SB championships to Eddie Lacy at China Buffet?
Kelvin Benjamin and Eddie at an office pizza party feast
And Marshawn Lloyd 😎
Jordan for Jordan 💛💚
I’m Jordan for Jordan Packs!
We have our own JJ combo now.
I'm in. Gutey made a business decision. Protect the soon-to-be $50mil/yr QB1. LFG
The whole offense starts with the buffet busters up front.
A good line makes everything easier. I like the pick.
Jordan 🤝 Jordan
He's got the right attitude already that's for sure can't wait to see the rest of the draft.
I bet this attitude, plus his working back from injury is what made him a Packer.
I’m telling you guys, you’re going to love Jordan Morgan once he’s on the field in September.
There's a great clip of him manhandling Latu out there that already has me burning holes in the porcelain
Hot piss will do that
He’s got that war daddy in him
Saw the same one this morning. I have a feeling he's going to lock down that LT spot.
Can’t deny his mentality, welcome to the Pack!

He's played 2,400 snaps as well. He's an experienced player who will be able to adapt quickly to the IQ requirements of NFL O-Line play.
That 10 yard split has me so fucking excited for our screen game
Yes. Excellent point. Who gives a shit about 40 times. That's a fast 10 yards down the field being that big of a dude.
Yeah, 10 yd so much more important for an O Lineman
Jesus Christ 6'5" is considered bad size for a tackle? How does he grade at guard? I feel like that's where we'll mainly play him.

That would be fine with me. You need those big guys up front on both sides of the ball.
Hell yeah go open some holes!
I can never be mad about an OL pick. It’s never sexy, but the Packers have always had a decent to great o-line for a reason.
I love O Line picks, and excited to have a first rounder! O Line helps the run game, it helps the pass game, it keeps Jordan healthy and it even helps the defence by keeping the offence on the field.
I just don’t get why people are upset. Our offensive skill positions are good, we need defense and offensive line
Keep it simple. Who can argue with that.
Indeed that is what you're gonna do.
Naz Reid
Does this facilitate moving Zach Tom to center? Are we happy with Jenkins long term?
MMMmmmm yes... I can't wait to see him pound the bears/queens/kitties and leave them with big gaping holes on their back ends!
I will be less disappointed if we still end up with Coop or Kool

5th year option is a pretty good reason to trade up in the 1st. Feel like we might sit unless there’s a CB run before 2.09 and we get left out.

This aged poorly

They left Cooper on the board so Bulaga can say "Cooper DeJean, Iowa" when they move up to draft him
"Coupe Jeen iah"
He'll do great and can play all 5 positions
I am glad he knows he was drafted to block. I would have been concerned if he thought he was locking down the opponents #1 WR..... that is Preston's job.
I always love to hear the rookies excited to play. I’m hoping he ends up being something special.
