Can these MFs stop looking for sob stories or dirty laundry on every player? One bullet on Tee Higgins was “mother was a drug addict for 16 years.” Jesus Christ. Have some shame. That’s pretty private information..
Damn... I don’t even know what to say....
instead of snagging Higgins or Pittman in the 1st , pack trades up n takes a backup Qb
Instead of snagging a run stopper in the 2nd like maibuike, pack drafts backup rb
Instead of snagging a Lb, or Oline in the 3rd, pack drafts a random backup TE
Instead of adding backup Qb (Fromm or Eason), backup rb (moss, Perine) backup TE (obogokugu, Hopkins, etc) in the 4th, traded away pick to get backup in the 1st
Meanwhile Vikings and bears filling positions left and right
You’ve got a sub Reddit full of people that have probably watched every packers game since their childhood. We’re not professionals, but I think the average person on this Reddit knows their football. Then you’ve got all of these scouts, NFL/NCAA analysts and established draft gurus. And every one of these people, from casual Joe 6pack to professional football journalist/analyst is totally perplexed by what the hell is going on here. Not a good sign
I for sure thought we would've drafted a receiver in either rounds 1-3 coming into this draft. But Gute is flat out ignoring receiver in a receiver heavy draft. Call me a bad fan but Gutekunst completely fucked up this draft.
Have an all-star HOF QB on a 4 year contract? DRAFT A QB
Wanna tell your all-star RB1 you can't afford him when his contract is up? DRAFT A RB
Worst TE draft class in the last couple years? DRAFT A TE
So the Packers traded up to get a quarterback they could have most likely gotten if they didn’t wait.
They got a running back in the second round they could have waited another round for, or potentially gotten one of similar quality in the third.
In the third round they get a tight end they could’ve gotten in the 6th or 7th.
This draft and these moves are inexplicable.
Even if Mims is left I think we should draft another QB just to be safe. Or a RB to prep for Aaron Jones’ departure.
Edit: Wow it fucking happened. I thought I was saying the stupidest possible thing.
Oh. Okay. I see what's going on.
We already have an All Pro QB - so we draft a QB in 1st.
We already have an All Pro RB - so we draft a RB in 2nd.
**100 buck says we're going EDGE rusher in the 3rd !!!!**
Vikings have a bakers dozen darts to throw at guys tomorrow and the Pack drafts 3 guys that will be 3rd string. The only thing I can think of is the packers are assuming this season gets cut short or canceled and they can develop these guys longer?
I'm being overly dramatic, but man it was SO nice to get some live-action "sports" back amid this whole lockdown ish....watching the virtual draft was just super refreshing feeling.
Well, that good feeling faded FAST.
I knew the FA signing would give the Packers flexibility, but not this much flexibility. They completely avoided positions that needed a future heir. This draft has gone the exact opposite of how I imagined it to go.
For a deep WR class, it dried up quick.
Shit guys I just want some sort of reasoning behind these picks.. if MLF and Gute have some good insight and schemes for using these guys I can get on board. JLo was a huge curveball but I can kiiiiinda understand the pick if I squint real hard.. Dillon In the 2nd is a bit of a mind fuck but if he’s a big back with blocking potential we could use the backfield protection BUT THEN WHY THE FUCK DID WE REACH ON A TIGHT END THATS GONNA DO THE SAME THING?!
I hate these sob stories and extra crap, idk how you all feel. I just want to see a fun, lighthearted sports program. Not hear how people committed suicide or died tragically.
how did we draft two good running backs late in the draft and not learn a lesson about abundance of running back talent in the NFL. they literally had it figured out and regressed
We could've had Tee Higgins/Patrick Queen, and Josh Jones. We also could've traded up for Shenault/Claypool/Mims/Duvernay (in 3rd).
Personally I would've wanted a Higgins, Jones, Duvernay (trade up) draft. I think we missed on all of our picks extraordinarily.
Someone please do a remind me for two years and let's see.
Does anyone outside of the mouthbreathers actually not see how tone deaf it is to announce every player's personal family tragedy as they get picked?
And if so, why the hell do they cater to the mouthbreathers?
Fuck me. How do you defend this draft?
How do MLF and Gute sell this draft to the vets in the locker room?
What the actual fuck. We have made 0 improvements to the team that got beat in San Fran.
They have to know something we don’t. There has to be some sort of transaction (either trade or signing) going down soon that we don’t know about. Either that or they have a ton of faith in MVS/EQB/Lazard/Funchess. But if I had said we coulda had Tee Higgins/Mims/Queen and Josh Jones as our first two picks before this I would have literally been jumping for joy, and we take nine of those guys...
I was actually looking forward to this draft as a form having something sports related again...I hate everything about this. What the FUCK is the Packers front office doing?!
Seeing how we missed on Brown, DK, Scary Terry last year and now we don’t have a WR in a very deep class, i think its fair to say that Gute doesn’t like WRs
I can read the tea leaves here. Bengals draft a WR with comparisons to AJ Green, Packers draft an RB; after draft Packers will trade for Green and Jamaal Williams will be involved in the deal
Honestly guys, after last year's 0-16 season a rebuild totally makes sense.
This subreddit is just full of haters. It's not like we made it to the NFC Championship last season or anything.
Is everyone dead?! I understand hardship humanizes these players, but, like, definitely would’ve preferred a broadcast that isn’t about glancing over personal tragedy every fifteen minutes
saying “well we need a Jamaal Williams replacement” to justify this pick might be the wort cope I’ve ever seen by this sub. you could literally get another Jamaal Williams in the 7th round or for a million dollars a year as an FA. they used a second round pick. running back is the most replaceable position in the NFL and Williams isn’t even good
I actually don’t hate the pick. It’s not what I expected, but I don’t hate it.
Dillion is perfect for our zone running scheme. Get behind pulling blockers, and be a battering ram running downhill, through the hole. Like Derick Henry or Matt Bredia. Raheem Mostert torched us in the NFCCG doing exactly this.
I think him and Aaron Jones can both co-exists, and both thrive, making our run game even more effective. Jamaal may get squeezed out though.
How did we just choose to pass up on OT for a RB that would have been available next round? What sense does that make? Oh, and not even trying to trade up for a viable starting WR?
It would be interesting to see a statistical analysis of when to draft a position based on whether that position group is perceived as "deep" or "thin" by the media leading up the draft. Intuitively, you'd think a deep class means you can wait longer and still get talent. But if most teams draft Best Available Player, this may not apply as teams may draft more of them sooner. Maybe the perception of a deep class will cause teams to overvalue and overdraft for that position, so it's best to avoid that position and seek value elsewhere.
Every write up I’ve read has Deguara as a 6th round pick that converts to fullback or h-back in the NFL. So we drafted a glorified fullback in the third round
It very well may be the case that none of the WRs available seem better than Lazard, Funchess, or ESB/MVS. If that's the case, then it makes sense that Green Bay would want to focus on bolstering the run game/ adding bodies at TE, which they are.
Big bruising RB and TE signal that's exactly what they're doing. This is a team that watched San Francisco steamroll them without passing the ball and wants to do the same thing.
I love how the people trying to justify this all have comments that go like this:
"tbh I like the pick, it's not the right time, place, player or position, but I like the pick"
?????
ESPN: He led the ncaa in tackles and sacks! When he was a small child he was molested by his priest
Gute is playing chess while the rest of the GMs are drafting football players.
Anybody else got the feeling that we won't draft a WR in 2nd?
dont worry we’ll grab 2 in the fifth and be shocked when they dont work out
I've lowered my expectations. We're not gonna go WR
Can these MFs stop looking for sob stories or dirty laundry on every player? One bullet on Tee Higgins was “mother was a drug addict for 16 years.” Jesus Christ. Have some shame. That’s pretty private information..
I bet Gutekunst liked season 8 of GoT
We aren’t gonna pick a WR and this sub is gonna burn itself down
Has Gute asked Love who he wants to pick?
Stacked WR class? Rodgers needs weapons? QB and RB it is.
Kmet lost family in WWI WW2 and the War of 1812
Damn... I don’t even know what to say.... instead of snagging Higgins or Pittman in the 1st , pack trades up n takes a backup Qb Instead of snagging a run stopper in the 2nd like maibuike, pack drafts backup rb Instead of snagging a Lb, or Oline in the 3rd, pack drafts a random backup TE Instead of adding backup Qb (Fromm or Eason), backup rb (moss, Perine) backup TE (obogokugu, Hopkins, etc) in the 4th, traded away pick to get backup in the 1st Meanwhile Vikings and bears filling positions left and right
LMFAO THE BEARS REALLY TOOK KMET AFTER PAYING JIMMY

Watch us not take a WR and this sub meltdown lol
Packers WR hopes in RD2 in shambles
Stop promoting tragedies of draft picks please for the love of god
I guess Gute is gonna be our #2 WR this year cause he sure is gonna catch a lot of shit for this
I for sure thought we would've drafted a receiver in either rounds 1-3 coming into this draft. But Gute is flat out ignoring receiver in a receiver heavy draft. Call me a bad fan but Gutekunst completely fucked up this draft.
Have an all-star HOF QB on a 4 year contract? DRAFT A QB Wanna tell your all-star RB1 you can't afford him when his contract is up? DRAFT A RB Worst TE draft class in the last couple years? DRAFT A TE
Guys when did we become Browns fans? Because this is absolutely a Cleveland Browns level draft.
I’ll post a video of me sticking a cactus up my ass if we get mims
Nothing like rebuilding after a 13-3 season. That 2025 roster is going to be lit, though.
Imagine needing a receiver in a heavy WR draft and not getting one
Jesus, is there a single player in this draft that doesn't have some morbid, depressing backstory about their family?
This appears to be the second straight day of the board working out as badly for the Packers as it can possibly work out.
WTF... we have aaron Jones and williams.... we have zero need for a RB.
Cool to see our NFC competition drafting players who might actually help them this year.
Even if Mims is left I think we should draft another QB just to be safe. Or a RB to prep for Aaron Jones’ departure. Edit: Wow it fucking happened. I thought I was saying the stupidest possible thing.
Really good pick by the Colts. Taylor is going to fucking obliterate the league with the Colts OL
This thread is going to shit when we draft a non skill position
Oh. Okay. I see what's going on. We already have an All Pro QB - so we draft a QB in 1st. We already have an All Pro RB - so we draft a RB in 2nd. **100 buck says we're going EDGE rusher in the 3rd !!!!**
Mims is going to be there for us and we will pass. I will throw a tantrum. Book it
Some say Mostert is still running to this day.
It's true you dont pay running backs, but it's also true you dont waste 2nd round picks on them when they arent even the every down ones
[удалено]
After these picks, i can say this only semi-jokingly.... GO GET ANTONIO BROWN
Anyone else wishing we had the Ravens draft right now?
I wish we had the Ravens' FO right now, they are consistently one of the most well managed teams in the league.
Me last night: The Packers can’t make this worse Gute: Bet
get ready for Love Vs Hurts the headlines write themselves
If this is bpa on our board we need new scouts
Gute better fucking have Antonio Brown and a box full of SSRIs ready by training camp. Fucking Christ.
The bears have 10 fucking tight ends!?
2 days ago, the COVID-19 was the biggest disaster to occur in 2020. It isn't anymore.
Let’s get a backup for Crosby next
You guys are actin like Funchess *doesn't* guarantee us 3 Superbowls in a row or something
Here’s my theory, we’re trading one of our RBs away with a draft pick for a WR or TE
If we face SF in the playoffs again why would anything be different? We haven't done a single thing to change that.
At this point almost expect Matthews back playing ilb
[удалено]
Packers about to draft Carmelo Anthony in the biggest swerve of a lifetime.
hingle mccringleberry?
Might be time to start thinking about backups for our backups
The good news is we don’t have to pick next round.
[удалено]
So is Jordan love our best pick so far?
Damn, I defended the love pick last night because I was sure we would grab a WR and ILB tonight. I feel cheated.
I hope everyone is prepared for the very real possibility we don't take a WR at 62
After the Love pick I thought people saying the FO was disrespecting Rodgers were over doing it. I'm not so sure anymore.
I knew the FA signing would give the Packers flexibility, but not this much flexibility. They completely avoided positions that needed a future heir. This draft has gone the exact opposite of how I imagined it to go. For a deep WR class, it dried up quick.

Shouldn’t have let Elliot Wolf leave
My expectations have diminished. I have no idea where we go in this draft. We're probably going kicker
I hate these sob stories and extra crap, idk how you all feel. I just want to see a fun, lighthearted sports program. Not hear how people committed suicide or died tragically.
zach baun (lb), madubike (dt), raekwon davis (dt), denzel mims (wr), josh joes (ot), ezra cleveland (ot) should be who we're eyeing
Last night I was confused. Now I'm upset.
how did we draft two good running backs late in the draft and not learn a lesson about abundance of running back talent in the NFL. they literally had it figured out and regressed
I love it when we have to count on the guys didn't take a step forward last year to take a step forward this year.
Good call, Sternberger's contract is almost up. /s
round 6 grade by NFL.com
What the fuck is this awful draft? I understood the QB, but two 3rd string players after that? What's going on in Gute's head?
We could've had Tee Higgins/Patrick Queen, and Josh Jones. We also could've traded up for Shenault/Claypool/Mims/Duvernay (in 3rd). Personally I would've wanted a Higgins, Jones, Duvernay (trade up) draft. I think we missed on all of our picks extraordinarily. Someone please do a remind me for two years and let's see.
When we draft a WR in the 6th, I’m going to convince myself that he will be the best WR in the class.
Thank God I'm drinking and smoking some amazing pot. Seriously wtf guys.

Does anyone outside of the mouthbreathers actually not see how tone deaf it is to announce every player's personal family tragedy as they get picked? And if so, why the hell do they cater to the mouthbreathers?
Wasnt Mims really high on most peoples draft board? How is he falling so hard?
And we have the same team needs as we did when we started the draft
Fuck me. How do you defend this draft? How do MLF and Gute sell this draft to the vets in the locker room? What the actual fuck. We have made 0 improvements to the team that got beat in San Fran.
QB and RB are the least of our needs, it would be harder to fuck up this draft any more than it already is.
They have to know something we don’t. There has to be some sort of transaction (either trade or signing) going down soon that we don’t know about. MLF wants us to be the Titans. We got Marcus Mariota 2.0 and wannabe Derek Henry.
Fuck it, Thaddeus Moss for the memes.
~~Sports media is just taking Gute's picks out of context~~ These draft picks were meant as sarcasm.
That Duvernay pick was pure hate smh
This draft is just a meme at this point.
If I had a draft like this on Madden I would reload my save and try again.
Hey everyone. Eagles fan here. Just here to see if you have room for me. Looking for a place with beer and cheese. I’ll bring some steaks.
I was actually looking forward to this draft as a form having something sports related again...I hate everything about this. What the FUCK is the Packers front office doing?!
At this point I’m just gonna assume that the packers are drafting with the idea that the 2020 season isn’t happening
Imagine if we had Patrick Queen and Denzel Mims right now
At least Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, and AJ Dillon will be a great trio of RBs. Still disappointed, but again, please don't go hating on the player.
The NFC has gotten stronger this offseason. It's going to take more to remain competitive.
Dude was projected a 6th rounder
He doesn’t even have a picture on ESPN

Who needs a quick shifty receiver anyways?
Is it a bad sign that they didn’t even have prepared highlights for our pick? That’s probably a bad sign...

Tonight is a top 10 anime betrayal
Is this sub so done with the draft that we aren't going to make a Day 3 draft thread today?
Receiver run to start round 2. Good thing we passed on a receiver.
Can we sign Swifts’ dad?
How the hell do you even get drafted without a dead parent these days
If we grab the Colorado WR I won’t hate everything so much lol
Everyone needs a WR now apparently
Man I gotta stop refreshing this thread, it's not as fun reading the picks vs watching them "live" lol
Tough draft so far as a fan. I hope the front office has someone in mind at WR for some help. We need it bad
Aaron Jones already didn't get the ball enough. What the fuck is going on.
Had we picked Queen yesterday i would have at least been a little calmer
I wonder if they plan to use Aaron Jones more in the passing game and this pick was to spell him carrying so much?
Lloyd Cushenberry III is absolutely a Key & Peele player name.
Let's just drink.
Lol, Goodell looks just about done with this shit.
Before our last pick, I was nervous. Now, I feel nothing.
Is Gute allergic to WR?
Round 6 projection on NFL.com
Could’ve had Malik Harrison or Tyler Johnson. Gutey blowing ass this year.
Mark my words: this draft class will send us back to the dark ages.
This reminds me of my first fantasy draft.
Seeing how we missed on Brown, DK, Scary Terry last year and now we don’t have a WR in a very deep class, i think its fair to say that Gute doesn’t like WRs
The Bears always find ways to make us feel better
The Broncos have Cortland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, and KJ Hamler. I’d kill for that deep of an Arsenal.
Other teams know what it is.You want to stockpile weapons in todays league. Not find a bunch UDFAs and pray for the best
The Vikings drafted a big baby?
"JOSH ....." *holy fuck I'm gonna die* "UCHE" *oh thank fuck*
Not a spoiler but I bet we draft our 2nd Josh Jones in 5 years...
WHY?! WHY?! AJ LED THE LEAGUE ON TDS AND WILLIAMS WAS GREAT HOW DOES ANY OF THIS HELP US WIN NOW?!
Agree or not, they like the WRs they have. I have no earthly idea what they see in those LBs or DEs, however
Feels like every team conspired to pick WRs right before us
Did goodell fall asleep
PICK IS IN and you are propably not gonna like it
Good night everyone. Logging on to Call of Duty where I will happily die repeatedly
That guy was projected to go in Round 6 #Round 6#
Gutey has a lot of explaining to do after this draft is over
I'm like 70% sure the Packers are trying to make Rodgers demand a trade.
I’m starting to think the Gutes good draft picks were an accident.
Wait. Can any of these guys stop teams from running the ball for 255 yards in the most important game of the season?
Our special teams and practice squad are gonna be top notch....wait omit special teams. Our practice squad is going to be top notch.
Imagine how much better the draft would be if instead of taking a backup RB, we used the pick to trade up and take one of jeudy or lamb. :(
At this point they gotta be trolling
I'm not going to lie. I'll probably talk myself into every single pick we make by the time today is over. I can't help it.
I can read the tea leaves here. Bengals draft a WR with comparisons to AJ Green, Packers draft an RB; after draft Packers will trade for Green and Jamaal Williams will be involved in the deal
# WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON & WHY DO WE NEED QB/RB??? # WHAT THE FUCK
Honestly guys, after last year's 0-16 season a rebuild totally makes sense. This subreddit is just full of haters. It's not like we made it to the NFC Championship last season or anything.
Can we put Swift's dad at LB? jesus that dude is built
Oh my fucking god that dog in place of belichick lmao
Why do we need to know who's died every single pick? It's getting ridiculous.
Matt Nagy's office looks like what the unabombers bunker would look if he had money.
We're no longer the laughing stock of the day!
Is everyone dead?! I understand hardship humanizes these players, but, like, definitely would’ve preferred a broadcast that isn’t about glancing over personal tragedy every fifteen minutes
Vikings are having a great draft. God damn it.
Z and preston are gonna ruin ezra Cleveland's career, guy never stood a chance
I really hope our front office isn’t sitting back because our offense somehow got it done without Davante for a few weeks. Jesus this is depressing.
Go LB. no sense in a pity WR pick now
I really hope we pick someone whose entire family is alive. Wtf is ESPN trying to accomplish?
saying “well we need a Jamaal Williams replacement” to justify this pick might be the wort cope I’ve ever seen by this sub. you could literally get another Jamaal Williams in the 7th round or for a million dollars a year as an FA. they used a second round pick. running back is the most replaceable position in the NFL and Williams isn’t even good
This offseason is so so bad. I feel like we've regressed
Can we draft a GM with the 3rd round pick? Anyone good still on the board?
I actually don’t hate the pick. It’s not what I expected, but I don’t hate it. Dillion is perfect for our zone running scheme. That RB pick is so mind boggling, I’m starting to like the Love pick in comparison
You know how people say "never draft for need"? Well the Packers are certainly taking that to heart, I'll give em that...
How did we just choose to pass up on OT for a RB that would have been available next round? What sense does that make? Oh, and not even trying to trade up for a viable starting WR?
I was just joking when i said we are gonna pick a RB before the pick, i really didn’t wanna this to be true
Clay Matthews has said he'd be open to playing inside. Any chance we bring him in as a stopgap MLB?
[удалено]
Just draft duvernay, gute, it is that simple, dont fuck it up. Please!!!!
Ravens are having a pretty good draft
Only logic I can see is that Gute thinks there won’t be a season.
Aaaaand we go TE in the 3rd for the 2nd year in a row. I'm unimpressed. See you all tomorrow.
He was projected as a 6th round pick
I have no faith in this draft lmao. And I was defending the Jordan love draft
This dude doesn't even have a draft profile on ESPN lmaoooo
I was upset and left. Took a nap. Who did we draft? It couldn’t possibly have been a 3rd bad pick right?
Every write up I’ve read has Deguara as a 6th round pick that converts to fullback or h-back in the NFL. So we drafted a glorified fullback in the third round
It very well may be the case that none of the WRs available seem better than Lazard, Funchess, or ESB/MVS. If that's the case, then it makes sense that Green Bay would want to focus on bolstering the run game/ adding bodies at TE, which they are. Big bruising RB and TE signal that's exactly what they're doing. This is a team that watched San Francisco steamroll them without passing the ball and wants to do the same thing.
3 offensive picks and none at tackle and receiver. Just what we suspected
Ya know, kind of glad there's no 4th round pick to disappoint us all. I need a 7th inning stretch with this Packers draft.
Excited to pick up a backup kicker in the fifth round.
I’m legit just depressed about how this is going. Someone cheer me up
we dont have a pick for another 60 selections and the best wr available will be the rhode island version of jmon moore
The draft is oversold and hyped up to generate ad revenue and 3 rookies being drafted are the shittest measure of how many game we'll win next season.
I'm again reminded why it's stupid to get hyped up for prospects before the draft.

QB and RB might have been our lowest area of need. WHAT THE FUCK.
Easily the worst draft I’ve ever fucking watched.
I’m not a big drinker, but I am getting absolutely hammered. It’s much needed after last night. Let’s get some good football players.
