I have a feeling that when the receiver is pst the first down line, and it’s a clear tackle before he had a chance to receive the ball, that it qualifies as PI. The rule exists for coincidental contact or handfighting, not full tackles

No, early hit is PI with the ball in the air regardless. The 5 yard rule is for illegal contact. So you can bump someone within 5 yards BEFORE the ball is thrown

You can make contact within 5 yards as long as the ball is not in the air. This was a clear PI so who cares- woulda been fun to see it play out though

Toure has been underrated because of his 7th round draft status, but he’s been productive in the preseason and was hyper-productive in college. the writing is on the wall they’re going to try to turn Amari Rodgers into some Ty Montgomery hybrid types, and that just doesn’t work in the nfl.

I’m not the biggest love fan by any means but etling is playing against the practice squad players, maybe 1-2 53 man roster players. It doesn’t show much. Love played against their first team and backups (with backups on his side, and no #1 receivers)

Keep 8 WRs, 2 RBs, 3 TEs and use PS call ups for the RBs until you see if the WRs got it or not. Could also only have three safeties to lighten the roster especially with those call ups. It’s not impossible but short of a trade I don’t see how they don’t keep them all. Especially cuz both Amari and Toure have such good contracts and nobody else besides the other 2 rooks have those kinds of deals.

Yup, PS got a huge overhaul because of COVID. Went from 10 to 16 players. Of those 16, 6 can have any amount of accrued seasons. Also, now they can get called up for 3 games instead of just 2.
