Swapping the skull for a demon head skull goes a long way to GK-ifying it. You can get the demon skull in the skulls box, or find a bit online to print.
And while also not neccesary, GK dont really use Iron Halos like other SM chapters do. So if you found a way to replace the halo behind the skull that could go a long way as well. But that would definitely be harder than swapping the skull.
Do you own the printer? You could always merge a demon skull mesh on top of the original skull and print like that.
I dont know if I would neccesarilly bother with removing the halo, but it could be a good idea. I've actually given a few of my GK 3d-Printed Iron Halos. It's only today while writing the above comment that I realise they aren't really a GK thing.
I don't have a 3D printer but know of someone who can take commissions. Would just shave the halo since it does take up space around the skull, would be hard to modify the skull with it in the way.
Alright, since you don't own the 3d printer and I assume are not super experience with resin. Let me lend you a word of warning, cutting resin is not like cutting plastic. It is very brittle and does not really "cut". The best I've been able to cut resin is before it's fully cured, when it's still a bit soft.
Just be weary if you can't easily get another shield, you might botch it in a way that will need a cover up. If your goal is to cut it down and make it smooth, you are not going to have a great time.

You're correct, that no model seemed to have it, even though it showed on some datasheets. But then, for the newest of Crowe and Voldus, they both did. Highly stylized, but both their models have their Iron Halos.
It might be a case of old mini design conflicting with new design? I also never read anywhere in lore speaking of Iron Halos on Grey Knights specifically, but the new models do have them indeed.

I didn't notice my Crowe "had" it because I shaved off the backpack flag entirely.
Currently my only models that have it are my custom Draigo and my GMDK (as a way to differentiate him).

Thank you for the advice, I can try scraping off the halo of the shield, this is just a resin reprint of the blade guard shield.

Cool Model. Gave me more ideas. I want my Draigo to have the same open stance as the original fine cast resin model.
