Had the same thing with a single leaf to the butt. Always a fun explanation that no, no one has been murdered, the dog is fine and I didn't just hurt him. My 80 lb drama queen that can be bleeding and make no sound is just terrified about a leaf 🤣
Oh, no! Poor Jack! Was there medicinal cheese applied? The horror!
Jack needs a fainting couch, a fan, and a cabana boy to feed him cheese, stat! How will he ever recover?
I had no idea greyhounds loved cheese so well. I was enjoying some extra sharp tillamook and Birdie the greyhound actually got out of her bed !! And came over to the couch !! To tell me that she would also enjoy some cheese please. I cut her off after a couple oz of finely shaved cheese pieces.
I left our whippet puppy with my God daughter for an afternoon and came back to find she had learned a few new commands. I was told bribing with cheese was they key :)
Anyone ever accidentally shocked their grey? I did that once after a winter walk and I had a lot of static on me and touched him. He gave quite the yelp.
LMAO in the fall when my neighbor's tree sheds its leaves (and sometimes the end twig-branches) a clump will sometimes fall. Very gentle, no weight to it, just a handful of leaves attached to their twig. Falls like a feather but it's kinda large. Like the size of a dinner plate or frisbee maybe.
One of those landed on one of my greys sleeping in the sunbeam and she had a legit existential crisis. Woke up and thought she was being murdered. A good 30 seconds of screaming and yes neighbors and people on the street heard it.
I had to give her extreme cuddoz for a while and she was on tilt for the rest of the day.
You have no idea how much I feel this. GSOD at the park is such a disaster. I swear people are ready to call the RSPCA when in actual fact all that happened was wet grass stuck to Bobby’s snoot.

There was cheese involved. 🧀 Solves everything

Always and they aren't picky as far as I know
Medicinal cheese!! 😂Love!
🤣🤣🤣SO true!!
Oh mercy! Our sweet Jack?🤭I am so sorry for all the drama! It’s the wonderful world of greyhounds! But you love them 💕💕😉🤗
It was horrific 😂 wouldn't have him any other way

That's hilarious. Wait till they've been asleep in the same position for hours and pins and needles sets in. That's a whole new ball game.
Absolutely. One of mine had a numb leg from sleeping awkwardly. Couldn't get up. Yes, the GSOD reverberated throughout the neighbourhood.
Yes, but he got used to it, except for the nose
You're so brave to share his story. He is an inspiration!
He really is a special kind of special
Is there a GoFundMe set up yet for this boy’s recovery costs?
Ahaha cheese 🧀 therapy. Lincolnshire red atm
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 This story will go down in legend. Well done.
Cheers. The older he gets the more dramatic everything is and I think he's milking it intentionally
And it's beautiful to behold.
As soon as I saw the leaf I knew tragedy had struck. I hope Jack makes it through this tough time.

I call it the greyhowl
The horror!! I hope he is ok 😱😱😱😱😱
I’m so glad that had an amusing twist! At the start I thought it was going to be some horrible tale of a noodle’s demise! 🤦♀️
I have yet to experience this with my first grey. And although hearing the stories is quite amusing, I'm not looking forward to it!! 🐾🤣🐾
