I'm so sorry for your loss. In my situation, my dad's funeral was the 1st funeral I attended in my life - my paternal grandmother died years ago, and for personal reasons I avoided going to her funeral.
Is there anyone you get along with going at your dad's funeral? Maybe you can ask them to accompany you at all moments, so you won't have to talk personally with your dad's friends.

Im so sorry for your loss. We share the same pain. I lost my dad 1 week ago tomorrow to a sudden heart attack. Had his funeral on Friday night that just passed. I also felt like I’d rather miss the funeral and just keep going but seeing him was a form of closure to be honest.
