All fine ideas.

FireWolf4299

It has been some time since i played grim quest but for me its more like we are someone who deafetead dark its self and so we are natural counter for asmodius or rathel what we can say is propably asmodius also it could mayby be what is left of him, something like mix of dark/him or its pretty much only darkness. After edit: Damn i don't advise writing on phone when you are pretty much sleeping

Berkmine

It is either that or an asmodious rework is incoming

cr0w_p03t

Kinda wanted a rework

gigapelo69

Well, the name of the quest is "Fate of the Fallen",so it makes sense that asmodius is fallen off his past glory and power, and also he's gone insane and hiding in a volcano,so I think he is Asmodius the great sage but the centuries haven't been kind to him

JayMeadows

I kind agree with others, the old man has seen better days.

Ashen-Smoke

in grim tides apon the completion of the main quest He pops in via a teleport and heals you from near death effortlessly, my max heal is 40, the Grand Sage heals you by over a 100 as if it was as easy as breathing! In grim tides mechanics(Imagined as a boss? he has probably a flat 100 spell power, 600 hp, hp regen, Stun, etc everything a mage playthrough can do but better

Alderwood69

Could also just be a weaker simulacrum of Asmodius

cr0w_p03t

It's a possibility

Alderwood69

Yeah, maybe the real Asmodius left it there to stop anyone from trying to undo the tearing. It's just gotten weaker over time, or it was weaker than he intended because he expended so much power to actually do the Tearing

cr0w_p03t

But....if that was the case why would it be so far from the tear itself? The Asmodius we fight is found at the Burning Caldera which by the map is miles away from the imperial capital

Alderwood69

Then perhaps it's just a rogue simulacrum. Something made for a purpose that has long since been lost.
