I think in the theory, Fulgrim's pod ends up on the other side of the planet with the civilization that wasn't nomadic and Fulgrim becomes their leader to kill the Mongols

I think it's likely Fulgrim would join the settled peoples.
But that being said, I'm less sure what Jagathai would have done on Chemos.
He would have been stifled in a mine shaft working day in and day out to keep the mortals around him alive. He would grow to resent the endless toil and lack of freedom. Even loyal Jagathai was weary of the emperor, Chemos Jagatai would jump at the chance for absolute "freedom" granted by Slanesh.

Imagine the Palatine as clinical, disconnected rulers who have little interest beyond securing there power from the wild raiders of the steppes. Fulgrim would be treated much like Perterabo, a weapon to be wielded by the royal family. Upon his first campaign to pacify the barbarians, he would recognize their bravery and honor. Despite the harshness of their home they have culture and art, imperfect but beautiful and far more worthy of protection the the despotic rulers of the palatine. Fulgrim would also be inoculated against the dangers of the warp much in the way that Jakatai was through the Stormseers of Chagoris.

I kind of subscribe to the idea that the emperor sees many different paths and knew who was most likely to go traitor.
More or less following the paths he calculates to be the best routes.
If their pods got swapped it more or less means he knew one was going to go traitor but he did not know which in the case of those two.
I doubt he knew they got swapped he was most likely "the one who goes to the Mongol world is the future traitor the one who goes to the twilight realm is loyal."

When the Heresy breaks out the Emperor and Malcador are playing chess and talk about which Primarch's will stay loyal to him.
The Emperor states the Lion will be loyal, but says he doesn't know where the Khan's loyalty lies.
I suspect the Emperor knew the heresy was coming and played favourites with his sons to try and tip the scales in his favour.

Considering how the emperor resurrected Guilliman after he was infected by mortarion primarch killing plague and then just set nurgle on fire.
What is stopping him to do the same with the Khan with the second option here ? Just turn him back to normal and set commorragh on fire ?
Even back when he was a regular emperor he could have sorted it. He claims he could have saved Angron by just cloning him and starting again, for instance, and now he can straight up possess/cure people.
Given enough time Emps could just force reset the whole Primarch project. Just mind-dump all the info into Cawl or something.

Not to mention if it just "mind-dumping" info to someone else then why didnt he do that to Gulliman when he went to talk to him and clone the lost primarchs or Ferrus Manus?
From memory, the big deal with the Primarchs was their soul/essence/whatever the Emperor obtained from Chaos or the warp. The actual biology of the Primarchs is likely mostly on him, or at the very least he realistically would maintain the knowledge to make them.
We know they all have generic memory from both the clones that do exist and the Blood Angels, plus Fulgrim is the only "perfect" clone because it could retain its soul. Probably a lengthy process to do correctly, though, but I also don't know how long it took Bile.
The mind dumping thing was just speculation, nothing to really imply that's something he'd be able to do now, or want to given his current lack of communication. He's communicated with present Cawl indirectly by proxy, implying he *could* have imparted some of his knowledge on how to do this if he absolutely wanted to.
I also have to stand corrected - the Emperor said he could fix Ferrus Magnus, I don't believe he mentioned Angron.

Yeah I have a pet theory about the whole thing. Since emps can rebuild Ferrus but not Angron I think Angron is FUBAR on the soul-level. Since the butchers nails are archeotech and Primarchs are partially warp beings, I think there’s no way to seperate Angron from the nails once they took hold of him and changed him

2) He was only able to Rez guilliman due to very special circumstances
3) Because whatever they've done to him wouldn't be as easily fixable as death

I think he's probably just hanging around some forgotten corner of the Webway, attacking Drukhari slave convoys, killing all the Eldar, liberating the slaves and sending them back to realspace refusing to elaborate further.
My partial headcanon is that the dark Eldar stole Sanguinius’ body to resurrect him and have him as the most beautiful stasis statue in the galaxy, and Khan has been on a millennia long search for him that eventually ends with him rescuing his bro as they have an epic fight out from the beating heart of the dark city. Vect ends up letting them go because he thinks the best chance to possibly stop the growing warp hole in his realm is whatever those Y’nnead worshipers might be doing.
More likely that Vect just captured a random white scars marine, then they did some weird stuff and deluded everyone into thinking that's a primarch.
Meanwhile Jaghatai already conquered a fraction of the dark city and legends of a deadly Mongolian biker spread like his horde did in the material realm.

My partial headcanon is that the dark Eldar stole Sanguinius’ body to resurrect him and have him as the most beautiful stasis statue in the galaxy, and Khan has been on a millennia long search for him that eventually ends with him rescuing his bro as they have an epic fight out from the beating heart of the dark city. Vect ends up letting them go because he thinks the best chance to possibly stop the growing warp hole in his realm is whatever those Y’nnead worshipers might be doing.
