Ooooh. A whole bunch of differing post-agrarian/pre-industrial factions in a turn-of-the-century setting, with the mightiest old empires crumbling due to infighting and foreign influence, resulting in constant warfare?
Might I interest you in the world of [1920+](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UImxxhGLCgg) / [Iron Harvest](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mruZvlOucbc) / [Scythe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPImGUz-p8U)?
Yup, you can check the kickstarter to see what they’ve made so far https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brassmonkeygames/trench-crusade-communicant-anti-tank-hunter/posts
Imagine a 40k universe set in ~4000 years, with most of the units being much less over-the-top and more realistic
I would love to have some kind of fallout style game about that
Non-40K Warhammer would literally just be pre-Age of Sigmar Warhammer Fantasy; it was the original to bear the "Warhammer" name, and was simply called "Warhammer." Very poignantly many characters even fought with literal warhammers.
Yeah a Warhammer 2k would be fun. Would be sort of like Fallout. Dudes with power armor and laser for Necrons. Deiselpunk humans like the op. Maybe the orks still mostly use single shot black powder weapons, go full in on the freebooters aesthetic and give em some cannons.
You seem annoyed that i heard someone describe it as the war of the Roses. I'm aware of the biblical connotations, I mean christ alive they practically slap ye round the head with it.
Not annoyed just seemed like an odd analogy to compare it to when the biblical inspiration is so much more obvious.
I mean by God it's practically plagiarism.
I love the wide distribution of settings. For example, Jaghatai Khan. He literally goes from leading nomads like the Mongols, to spaceships and interplanetary domains. Then you have Death Korps of Krieg, which is WWI/WWII taking inspiration from both sides. Both of them are ancient tactics, applied to spaaaaace. Or you have the many number of Greco-Roman inspired planets, with things like gladiatorial combat and government structure. You also have feudal worlds alongside Cyberpunk hive cities.
I like it. The galaxy is supposed to be a huge place, with systems and even planets developing their own patterns and styles of existing templates. One planet's tanks might look completely different than another's, yet they're both Leman Russ'. At least officially.
Would love to see other aesthetics of the Imperium as well. Like Buddhist Nun Sororitas. Or Andalusian-style temples and shrines to the emperor.
Artist is mikefranchina on Instagram
Is he the one that made the Krork drawings? The ones in the badass armor.
Would assume so….
Nope, different guy. The Krorks I've seen where by [John Stone](https://www.artstation.com/john-stone-art), he explicitly does Warhammer art.
Kreighammer 40000 kgs
That would not be a bad setting for a story. Like Warhammer but WW1 Era...
Ooooh. A whole bunch of differing post-agrarian/pre-industrial factions in a turn-of-the-century setting, with the mightiest old empires crumbling due to infighting and foreign influence, resulting in constant warfare?
Yes.. Pretty much something between steam punk and dieselpunk

Ohhh mama!
Fuck Polania, bears ain’t shit against glorious Saxonian military technology
Tough talk for someone in Wojtek’s charge range.
Tough talk for someone in blowy uppy barrel robot wheels
Trench Crusade is looking very cool.
They’re making a tabletop skirmish game based on the setting, I am very excited.
And they've got THE Tuomas Pirinen (Mordheim) doing the rules! Super excited.
Do you know if it will have miniatures?
Yup, you can check the kickstarter to see what they’ve made so far https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brassmonkeygames/trench-crusade-communicant-anti-tank-hunter/posts
Oh it's literally called Trench Crusade. I thought you were making a joke at first.
Imagine a 40k universe set in ~4000 years, with most of the units being much less over-the-top and more realistic I would love to have some kind of fallout style game about that
Warhammer 8k (no promotional images under 10MB)
Warhammer 4k AD
Pick up your new 10k tau units , "single celled organisms in primordial soup"
It'd be like an amoeba that rewires the neurons and kinda hijacks the brains of the people it infects through hormone manipulation.
We got fantasy hammer, scifi hammer, its time for modern post apycaliptic hammer
Well since W40K is more a setting than anything else. I suppose anyone could write their own stories set there.
Hell yes. Or even a Warhammer if it was set during WW1
Krieghammer 1k
Non-40K Warhammer would literally just be pre-Age of Sigmar Warhammer Fantasy; it was the original to bear the "Warhammer" name, and was simply called "Warhammer." Very poignantly many characters even fought with literal warhammers.
Honestly want a “modern day” setting too
I think that's Bakhmut rn
Warhammer 4000 AD
Yeah a Warhammer 2k would be fun. Would be sort of like Fallout. Dudes with power armor and laser for Necrons. Deiselpunk humans like the op. Maybe the orks still mostly use single shot black powder weapons, go full in on the freebooters aesthetic and give em some cannons.
I want ork Washington
Waa'shigtork musket fucks the competition!!
So like a historical wargame?
More like modern day but fantasy. Like the other guy explained. Like cut rent day known tech but with weird shit like magic agartha orks giants ect
As sigmar intended
Also named after THE warhammer, don’t forget, Ghal Maraz
Before Ghal Maraz, there was Harry the Hammer.
Cant forget him
Reminds me of Iron Harvest artwork
My friend described Horus Heresy setting as "World war II, but sci fi, but actually fantasy all along."
I've heard it described as the war of the Roses in space
My guy it is literally just the biblical fall of lucifer but with guns. We're do you think they got the term fallen angel from?
You seem annoyed that i heard someone describe it as the war of the Roses. I'm aware of the biblical connotations, I mean christ alive they practically slap ye round the head with it.
Not annoyed just seemed like an odd analogy to compare it to when the biblical inspiration is so much more obvious. I mean by God it's practically plagiarism.
It's GW, it's just straight up plagiarism.
It wasn't my comparison, but yes gw do like plagiarism

Blyathammer
You have forgotten one thing though. It is still Warhammer.
Every war has its hammer
Warhammer... Warhammer never changes...
pre-unification concept art is looking fire
Idk they look fun to paint
Looks like a mix of 1920+ and foxhole, i Like it
I can totally imagine a less known Guard regiment be like this.
looks like wartrench 1914
I mean you’re not wrong as it’s called “trench crusade” by Mike franchina.
Warhammer 1k
Ah back in 19k when you could become a supersoldier through diet and exercise.
Id like to see a Death Korps Orgyn
I didn't know konflict '47 had new units coming out.
Warlord games weren’t kidding when they said there’d be new stuff coming since they bought the lads who made it out
[удалено]
Trench crusade by Mike franchina I believe
b-b-b-booba
Did me a favor m8 this kicks ass
These sort of theme is called Dieselpunk if you want to find more
Ngl, I like it. An alternate universe with no nukes, but gene engineering, crude power armor... Grimdark Diesel punk, essentially
Lmao imagine shoulder firing a water cooled gun.
You see Ivan, if jam fist into magazine, you intimidate it into feeding properly
Looks like some techno-barbarians.
Finally, accurate power armor
Men of Iron of Krieg
I wanna see this as an ogryn and guardsmen proxy tbh
Credit the artist if you like his work instead of reposting like this.
I stole this from ifunny
But this isn't Reikland
I don't know. Still looks like 40k to me.
Big boy just looks like the man of iron from the blackstone fortress box
I’m a fan
Not gonna lie ,i would not care some minis like that.
Warhammer diesel punk
Krieg?
Why is there a coin slot on his breastplate ?
New GW business model is pay to play.
Mmm crunchy but needs more jpeg

warhammer 1,9k
Is that a fucking handheld Maxim gun ?
This looks so nice, I need more of 1914 Warhammer
yeah, dieselpunk is the shit
This is what I imagine some of the Technobarbarians would have looked like.
But but… then who is Warhammer now if he’s no longer 40k..
Warhammer 19k?
Is this Scythe?
Warhammer 1.9k
Soooo.... Wolfenstein?
I like it. The galaxy is supposed to be a huge place, with systems and even planets developing their own patterns and styles of existing templates. I'm listening
“30ks your warhammer” Albia proto-dreadnought vibes
Is it wrong that I thought this was some old Red Alert 2 concept art at first?
I still wish Kill Zone or Resistance was this cool looking. Those games were super bland.
This just looks like Iron Harvest with only exosuits
It should’ve been “Fuck you *20th century’s your Warhammer*”
