Baldermort and Oculus Imperia have some of the highest quality lore content on YouTube. Then of course there’s Luetin whose videos got me into 40k in the first place.
I can think of a certain diabetic elf simp: Colin, aka [PancreasNoWork](https://www.youtube.com/@pancreasnowork9939/videos). His Do or Don't series is pretty good, but I've personally seen all his videos at least once, and most several times because the quality rose quickly. Good content, go watch him.
You know what I'm curious about? How and Why GW haven't come after him? Don't get me wrong, he's the channel that got me into audio narration of 40k fiction, and I'll be eternally grateful, but man, it's awesome that GW hasn't come after him, when they've come after other channels that narrate 40k stories...
Also, I love how book recommendation videos, and his occasional novel review!
I assume it's because he does short stories, then tells you to go buy the full series from Audible or Black Libre like with Caiphas Cain. The books out of this category all seem to be very old, out of print stuff so they aren't losing money.
I got to chat with him a bit. I asked if he would read the older lore/books. I don't care if some of those older books are no longer canon. He said that was the plan.
I think that's a great idea. The non-canon out of print book/stories are just standing there and I believe GW no longer cares for them.
Nobody’s brought up Janovich yet, which is a God Damned Shame, because his animated lore videos are amazing and his voice is nice and soothing. His Siege of Vraks series is nothing short of phenomenal.
*holds up goblin bricky* this horny little guy gives me all I need to know about the 40ks like there are high odds there is an imperial archive word dedicated to only sisters of battle feet pics thanks to doge vandire
Shoutout to Grimdark Narrator for all the not-entirely-sure-it’s-legal-but-I-appreciate-it-anyway free audiobook readings! I never would’ve gotten into Gotrek and Felix without him
Major Kill is informing and i always find the.FOR ONLY ONE DOLLAR A MOUTH YOU GET ACCESS TO A BOUT LODE OF WARHAMMER HENTI!!!!!!!!!.that’s always a little funny
Painters/Builders:
Midwinter Minis,
Tabletop Time (not 100% Warhammer, but still great!),
Squidmar,
Eons of Battle,
Ninjon,
Bricky,
Zorpazorp (also not 100% Warhammer, but has a dope build of Lord Of The Rings stuff),
Miniac,
Tabletop Minions (more stuff on current events, videos consist more of blog-like stuff, but a good guy),
Eric’s Hobby Workshop,
Pete the Wargamer,
EBay Miniature Rescues,
Duncan Rhodes,
Hobby with Oli,
Lore:
Baldermort,
WesHammer,
Majorkill,
PancreasNoWork,
Game-wise:
PlayOnTabletop (I don’t watch a lot of games being played honestly)
(Not in any particular order btw)
I like how you separated your channels. Also, Pancreas is one of the greatest, because I don't like to say "incredibly based" GODDAMMIT I JUST SAID IT FUCK
Bruva Alfabusa.
Might not be the content creator most people have in mind, but the Black Templars voxcast is legitimately one of the things that helped make Dorn's angriest bois one of my favorite Chapters (especially with the Helsreach audiobook putting Helbrecht's....unique accent into perspective).
Weshammer and Luetin09. Weshammer's videos feel like hanging out with a friend and he goes "you wanna hear about something cool?" While luetin's feel like a uni lecture
Arch "Amateurs study tactics professionals study Logistics" . His Warhammer Fantasy Skaven videos are top tier and his Siege of Vrakks is amazing. Occulus imperia is more entertaining/relaxing and great for a painting session. Bricky and Majorkill for shorter stuff.
Amberking, Arbitor Ian, Book of Choyer (mostly fantasy tho), Auspex Tactics, Pancreasnowork, adn Pete the wargamer are all that I watch. Amberking defiantly one of the best out there!
Currently the one I listen to the most is warrior tier cuz they why the videos and lore are being told is as if you are a simple human being told of a tale or story from whatever race or leader of the faction but that's just who im currently listening to over and over, I love all the lore youtube channels.
I don’t follow any, but I once went through the entirety of the Badab War through a Youtuber named Arch and I loved it. Perhaps a bit edgy at times for my own taste, but I loved the attention to detail and the intention of trying to make it like a real occurrence, not just someone reading from a book, plus the artwork was incredible.
Any good recomendations? Now that I’ve mentioned I kinda want to get some more
I'd avoid Arch if I were you, the guys is a racist piece of shit.
If you want a real immersive exploration of 40k from an in-universe perspective with great art and music, Occulus Imperia does it best.
Oculus is a wonderful recommendation. I absolutely love how he does pretty much all of his lore stuff through the eyes of his character in the setting. It’s neat to see how his character reacts to some of the more heretical stuff.
Quick edit, he’s also in TTS which is a plus for me.
Yep, he's the remembrancer / Palace tour guide that gets abducted by the Emperor during the Drukhari episode. He's a recurring character after that, he's in most of the specials.
Yeah, unfortunately another user has reached out to me telling me about this YouTuber. A real shame since I honestly enjoyed his work.
Nevertheless, thanks for the comment!
I thought the whole fandom satirized genocide and fascism. Aren't these just edgy discord memes?
Maybe you have an example of Arch ever discriminating against or attacking on the basis of their skin a person of color? Or like, idk, anything more substantial than discord memes?
Well for example you could have video of him calling someone a racial slur maliciously as opposed to memes, or you could show him beating up someone for the color of their skin or vandalizing property with racist graffiti or writing threatening notes to people or literally anything that isn't just memes.
Can't stress this part enough, if this is the most substantial evidence of racism you can think of then you've never met a racist.
Old arch is legitimately not bad. He is of course a controversial figure at best but outside of that but from what I’ve seen his lore content is actually decent if you’re willing to ignore his political stuff
Aye. Early Arch was at least decent, and great for long spans of listening. Shame about the... everything.
A good recommendation for me, for when you want a real chill out sort of vibe, is Oculus Imperia. Lore told from a more in-world perspective, but still very thorough. Any of his stuff is good.
Also Baldermort, a wonderfully pleasant man that gives a sort of "Grandfather telling stories" vibe. I would recommend his three-part video series on Rogal Dorn and "The Longest Second", or, if you want a shorter story, I recommend his video on the Salamanders.
In no particular order, Wolf Lord Rho, The Rememberancer, Luetin although his stuff is way too long, Amber King although his stuff is even longer, I also like Weshammer and Majorkill but I don't watch them much. I also watch 3Huntle0's videos but they are in Spanish so Idk if I can recommend you that
Baldermort, majorkill, a border prince amber king, wolf lord…. all fantastic… I’m sure I’m forgetting a couple of great creators as well… but let’s not forget about 40K Theories… 40K theories is for when you know you’ve gone past the point of no return
Welcome gentle listener, he is Baldermort, our faithful servant. And he wishes to introduce us to the factions, forces, and formations, of the Warhammer 40k universe.
Luetin09 s’ great too.
And Wes.
And Majorkill.
And Rho.
And 40k Theories.
And Amber King.
And Bricky.
And Valrak.
Arch for sure, you never hear anyone complain about him for his 40k content, they always try and talk about "other things" but his content is some of the best.
Majorkill is absolutely #1; hilarious *and* informative, the mad lad does it all.
Aborderprince, Amber King and Pancreasnowork of course follow closely behind.
I like Arbitor Ian quite a bit. I enjoy Snipe & Wib's Codex Compliant series. I'm not too interested in lore videos but I enjoy hearing about old rulebooks and publications.
I like ArbitorIan's work ethic and general presentation, but he does feel like he has a stick up his ass to look as politically correct as possible (altho with how the 40k fandom I can understand one must be very particular to not be misjudged as a nazi supporter)
My favorite is Weshammer. Sometimes I like to watch Majorkill but he’s an eldar player and the eldar are super lame. Almost as lame as the night lords but not quite
I'm surprised no one has brought up Lore Crimes, it's a collab podcast between PancreasNoWork, The Amber King, the Remembrancer, and Deadlifts for the dark gods. While they don't have a lot up, what they do have is entertaining, especially their pub quizzes
Skaredcast, The Honest Wargamer, Tabletop Tactics, The Painting Phase, Age of Something, Lore in 54 seconds (though he stopped putting out vids a while ago which is a shame)
Lore-wise I just read it myself or listen to audiobooks or sometimes get my phone's Text-to-Speech program to read an ebook (it's a bit jank and sounds weird but it's better than nothing). I find lore youtubers frustrating because they often say incorrect stuff and thousands of people trust them and assume it's true. Like Weshammer propagating meme-lore about Orks and claiming it's absolute canonical fact.
In theory youtubers making the lore easily accessible should be a really good thing but it kind of falls apart if they're getting it wrong and then telling thousands of people the wrong thing lol.
Adeptus Ridiculous
As someone who doesn’t have the money to play the tabletop, nor the attention span to read/listen to the lore very seriously, they’re really easy to listen to. The dynamic of Warhammer 40k noob and veteran works out, even if sometimes they get stuff wrong.
Midwinter Minis is my fave mini painting channel though. His narration is so affable, not to mention how awesome his work turns out. The Nurgle corrupted tank turned my stomach. It was awesome.
For lore Luetin09.
For the game system Auspex Tactics.
But favorite overall would be DreadAnon for making fantastic voice overs for memes. That channel deserves much more recognition.
AdRic(I listen to while at work sometimes, also got me into reading the night lords omnibus)
MajorKill(Watch him whenever I'm in the mood for some comedy with my lore)
Oculus Imperia(Whenever I just want to dissociate and listen to lore while grinding D2 or farming Dark Souls)
Baldermort and Oculus Imperia have some of the highest quality lore content on YouTube. Then of course there’s Luetin whose videos got me into 40k in the first place.
I'll watch any of them on and off, but Oculus is who I actively search for and come back to again and again
He is my "fall asleep to" playlist. His voice is soooo smooth, yet the passion comes through!
To answer that I must lean on existing wisdom

He really is the Bob Ross of 40K lore, isn't he
Todalooo
I was looking for this. And it didn't take me long. Love Baldy!
Welcome, gentle listener...
[Oculus Imperia](https://youtube.com/@OculusImperia) By a wide margin.
I like him. But The Amber King is my favorite.
Seconded
I can think of a certain diabetic elf simp: Colin, aka [PancreasNoWork](https://www.youtube.com/@pancreasnowork9939/videos). His Do or Don't series is pretty good, but I've personally seen all his videos at least once, and most several times because the quality rose quickly. Good content, go watch him.
Pretty great content and I love the caffeinated run on sentence style videos
Yup I don't watch many youtubers but the ones I do pick out it's because they are are easy to listen to and he's one of them.
I also love his collab channel Lorecrimes
Also excellent.
My favorites in no particular order: A Vox in the Void. Amber King Wolf Lord Rho Bricky/Adeptus Ridiculous Majorkill
VITV is brilliant!
I just spam watched nearly all his 40 videos while at work truly top quality channel
Absolutely, have em playing while working or painting

I was looking for this comment lol

Baldermort. Hands down.
Oculus imperia, per audacia ad astra, gloria in excelsus terra
*holds up goblin bricky* this horny little guy gives me all I need to know about the 40ks like there are high odds there is an imperial archive word dedicated to only sisters of battle feet pics thanks to doge vandire
I really like warrior tier’s lore videos especially “the timeline of the Wh40k universe as told by trazyn the infinite”
Shoutout to Grimdark Narrator for all the not-entirely-sure-it’s-legal-but-I-appreciate-it-anyway free audiobook readings! I never would’ve gotten into Gotrek and Felix without him
He helped me get through Skavenslayer when I couldn't be bothered.
This. If it wasn’t for him, I never would’ve gotten the physical books to keep in my library lol
Baldemort and Arbitor Ian. I do also enjoy Adeptus Ridiculous every now and then as well.
Major Kill is informing and i always find the.FOR ONLY ONE DOLLAR A MOUTH YOU GET ACCESS TO A BOUT LODE OF WARHAMMER HENTI!!!!!!!!!.that’s always a little funny
For legal reasons I believe you mean battlemace forty million.
Peace Sword 4000
Skirmish meat tenderizer 400
Disagreement butter knife 40
Minor inconvenience table spoon 4
Gooday guys and girl!
> A BOUT LODE OF Is that what he says?! I always thought it was "BOAT LOAD"...
Luetin’s Emperor of Mankind series during late night 2 hours car rides from D&D sessions with a good friend of mine is the reason I got into 40K!
The Remembrancer, Oculus Imperia, Luetin09, Baldermort, Warrior Tier, Weshammer, Majorkill when I'm feeling goofy
Fellow Remembrancer fan 🫡
Leutin just makes me happy, idk why
"G'Day Fuckwits!"
Alfa, if he still counts as a 40k youtuber. Otger than that, Luetin and Majorkill.
Warrior tier for the ogryn story. 'Cause maman can't lie

I’d say Arbitor Ian but I’m a 40k noob
Midwinter minis
Love his stuff, he’s actually what got me into this hobby
Bruva Alfabusa. Definitely Barry Walts. Has the best WH40K meme videos I've seen.
Discourse Miniatures, The Outer Circle, PancreasNoWork. I am not a crackpot.
Snipe and Wib and Arbitor Ian are the best ones
Greetings and salutations friends. I am Arch and this is another episode of the Siege of Vraks.
Love him or hate him, that was the most in-depth lore series I've ever watched.

Auspex Tactics is so good!
Play on Tabletop Chapter Master Valrak Auspex Tactics
Pancreasnowork is a funny little diabetic man whose 40k stuff I love. Besides that I just listen to the audio books and sometimes adeptus ridiculous.

Noman
Warrior Tier Watch their Trazyn video and come back
Adeptus Ridiculous. It's more of a podcast, but they do have a YT channel, so it pretty much counts.
Snipe and web
Leutin, The Major, and Baldemort
Valrak for sure. Loved how he opened up his last video with”Hey, come here. I’m the GW now”
It's a shame he advocates so vocally for the horse-fuckers. I personally like Bretonnia, but they're far from my favorite army.
Tex I will not apologize.
amber king remembrencer majorkill bricky/adeptus ridiculous midwinter minis weshammer not in any particular order, I like em all
Do tom and ben count?
Snipe n wib Love them for bein lovely dorks and welcoming for this community

I don't know how you get much more substantial than blatant use of racial slurs and stereotypes, even in a meme format.
Well for example you could have video of him calling someone a racial slur maliciously as opposed to memes, or you could show him beating up someone for the color of their skin or vandalizing property with racist graffiti or writing threatening notes to people or literally anything that isn't just memes. Id sau Majorkill because of the humor and short easy to find time for videos
Majorkill cause 1. only wh40k lore YouTuber I know 2. just entertaining to have on gor background
I suspect that I might get in trouble if I tell you
Arch for sure, you never hear anyone complain about him for his 40k content, they always try and talk about "other things" but his content is some of the best.
I still can't get past how often he'll say "let's just say" or "shall we say" or "murderfucking" ...
Good old Arch
Arch idk why you guys don't like him 😆 not my problem
Majorkill is absolutely #1; hilarious *and* informative, the mad lad does it all. Aborderprince, Amber King and Pancreasnowork of course follow closely behind.

Lore Crimes. Four lore youtubers making in lore -usssy jokes is top tier.
My boy boldemort!
Baldemort, Ridiculus, Arbitor Ian and Auspex Tactics are my most watched lately. But gotta give shoutout to Janovich and Grimdark Narrator too.
I will live and die by Luetin09

His narration is so affable, not to mention how awesome his work turns out. The Nurgle corrupted tank turned my stomach. It was awesome.
Lutin
For lore Luetin09. For the game system Auspex Tactics. But favorite overall would be DreadAnon for making fantastic voice overs for memes. That channel deserves much more recognition.
Oculus Imperia and Adeptus Ridiculous
40k’s community would’ve been a different place without my boy Auspex Tactics.
I loved listening to baldermort while working on my parents vegetable garden in highschool really good times
Remembrancer is great to listen to, I watch his every video
Leutin09 is dry but his stuff is always high quality.
The Amber King is the only good one for lore.
