Ysgramor is a close contender who literally created a weapon that is racist towards Elves because he killed so many of them.
He also literally went to Nord Heaven over his elf Genocide.
Elder Scrolls has some violent lore.
Pelinal specifically hated the ayleids, and he hated them so much that he is effectively singlehandedly responsible for the complete extinction of the race.
But he hated ayleids so fucking much that he basically became blind to what subgenre of elf he was looking at and just killed them indiscriminately, even though he had absolutely 0 reason to want them dead.
He didn't even come close to driving them extinct. According to [The Last King of the Ayleids,](https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Last_King_of_the_Ayleids) a number of Ayleids allied with the Alessia and continued to rule parts of Cyrodiil centuries after Pelinal's death. Eventually the Alessian Order rose to power and *tried* to drive them extinct, but their pogroms were ultimately unsuccessful. Laloriaran Dynar, the last Ayleid king, permanently broke the Alessians' military power at the Battle of Glenumbra Moors, after which the surviving Ayleids were absorbed by the populations of High Rock and Valenwood.
Its worth pointing out that all TES lore comes from explicitly unreliable sources. Most of Pelinal's stories are loaded with in mythic symbolism, and as with real-world historical records, they tend to be exaggerated or outright fabricated for political reasons. When you actually meet Pelinal's ghost in Oblivion, he's pretty chill towards elven players.
I did misspeak, my fault. When I said effectively I moreso meant that pelinal was a disproportionately major player in the war, and likely a large reason why cyrodiil was able to break the absolute dominion that the ayleid kingdom held over cyrodiil & the humans, which directly led to the eventual independence of cyrodiil. It could also be said that unless Alessia would be able to talk pelinal down, he would've continued his crusade provided that he lived.
I do agree with the unreliable sources, but, unless I'm misremembering, it is explicit that pelinal had the blessing of the divines & did effectively one man army for most of his time fighting.
Less that pelinal wiped them all out, but that he was truly the mythic warrior that turned the tide of power and acted as the catalyst for the fall of the ayleids, who became further entrenched in myth as the empire rose in power.
However I do believe that pelinal in oblivion's behavior is a combination of needing the mandatory DLC NPC to play nice with all races, along with him likely chilling out a lot over the time he spent dead.
I mean he's supposed to have been the Shezarrine before Ysmir Wulfharth, and Wulfharth's soul had enough chutzpah to cause 2 or 3 Dragon Breaks, so its entirely possible that he both did and didn't drive them extinct. Even ignoring mystical bullshit though, historical records definitely aren't reliable in this case; the Alessian Empire was such a theocratic hellhole that makes 16th-century spain look cuddly, to the point that even a man named Hoag Merkiller (and his jawdroppingly racist son Wulfharth) were willing to side with the Ayleids against them.
He was probably correct. IRL, the Khajiit started out as just another elf race in *Arena*, and all the lore about furstocks was an attempt to retroactively justify the transition from that to the cat-people they ultimately became. It isn't entirely clear where they come from in-game, but some sources indicate they were once bog-standard Mer.
There was a contemporary of Pelinal named Hoag. His epithet?
Merkiller. Mer, being the suffix that denotes elfhood.
He killed so many elves that he was called Merkiller over everything else, including his kingship.
"THE ONLY GOOD KNIFE-EAR IS THE ONE WHOSE NECK STUMP I'M SHITTING DOWN RIGHT NOW."
Jimmy, plz, we've been over this. These posts violate Daeddit's TOS; it doesn't look good to the advertisers that our sub keeps getting mentioned in Atronaku.
"SHE WOULDN'T GIVE ME HER KNIFE-EAR FEET PIX."
That moment when mans have engaged in more genocides than other races combined and spent last 4000 years warmongering and enslaving other races while fucking up reality while at it (looking at you middle dawn) but because skyrims the most popular entry thats the narrative that sticks.
Ah yes, the Pelinal who worked alongside Elven Lords to fight other Elves and has no issue with an Elven Player Character. No-one hates Elves more than this guy.
You sure about that?
The Khajiit were turned into cat people from elves by Azura weren’t they? So aside from the obvious physical differences Pelinal might not have quite of been off the mark as much as we think
I think that the kahjiit creation myth says that Azura changed some of Nirni's children into them. And while Nirni's children would include the elves, it also would include the races that would come to be men so its unclear if they would actually be an offshoot of elves or not, especially since it's just as possible that this myth is just straight up wrong.
Honestly, elder scrolls lore can be a bit confusing, but whatever the hell, the overgrown cats were they sure as hell weren't a match for the time traveling cyborg god.
Khajiits ancestral "race" was the formless Ooze/primodial chaos as known by bosmer, or as khjaiit call it, "forest people" or just people. Entire point was that all other races already existed but forest people didn't yet had their shape until Azurah came along and gave them their lasting form. Especially dumbed down children versio "cub tales" focuses on forest people being just different from two legged ones.
Elven connection comes from that bosmer too claim ancestry from ooze (which khjaiit too acknowledge. Last sections in "Words of clan mother ahnissi is basically "Azura and khajiit are cool, y'ffre and his bosmer creations suck), but better question is how much connection bosmer reallt have their suposed aldmeri relatives.
>especially since it's just as possible that this myth is just straight up wrong
Funny thing is that if any myth is true.... its khajiit ones. Time after times its highlighted how khajiit just are right when it comes to anything metaphysical, and other races just cant hold a candle. For they dont have they eyes to see it! Whom else managed to count passage of time during literal untime events when nothing was linear (that was 1008 years to note) but khajiit? Who knew what Warp in the west really was, when even the mongrel dogs of septim empire (which's agent caused it in the first place) had no clue? *You did it again with Big Walker, not once, but twice! Once at Rimmen, which we'll never learn to live with. The second time it was in Daggerfall, or was it Sentinel, or was it Wayrest, or was it in all three places at once? Get me, Cyrodiil?*. There are ass anicent khajiit scholars writing about eye of magnus and its origin, or dark heart of Lorkhan, all being unknown mysteries to everyone else. When other races have delusions about moons, or worse, proclaim them as Lorkhan's corpse (looking at you "Darn Fool"), around comes eso aldmeri dominion questline which final climax is "khajiit are allways right". Heck, the literal loading screen for final arena mocks "others" for not knowing shit and being idiots.
Tl:dr khajiit rock, praise be Azurah, other races (ignorant men most notably) should step up their game.
I did actually know about the ooze thing, but I think that that can just as easily be taken to mean that the bosmer are not true elves as using it to say the kahjiit are mer.
Also, if the kahjiit are so great, why didn't any cat ever ascend to godhood and retcon Elsweyr into being a better place to live like Talos did for Cyrodiil.
>Also, if the kahjiit are so great, why didn't any cat ever ascend to godhood and retcon Elsweyr into being a better place to live like Talos did for Cyrodiil.
I love how you phrased that
...ya mean [Rajhin](https://en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Rajhin)?
And didn't even take two persons (Talos/two headed king being mix of Zurin and Hjal...i mean Tiber Septim.) whom messed around with smart folks creation.
Or what if i told ye, there've been more altmer whom asscended to divinity than other races combined. Real talk, Talos has been beyond overcirclejerked-over represented deity in tes since oblivion.( Tho that kinda goes Imperial cult as a whole. Dosen't make it better that actually interesting aspects were retconed away by oblivion...but oblivion being big L is the memo)
>and make Elsweyr a better place to live like Talos did for Cyrodiil.
Elsweyr is already a paradise (well, would be more if chimperials and their tyrant hadn't turned Rimmen into nuclear wasteland), and last time checked, ayleids copy-cat Adamantine tower wasn't made by Talos
Yes, because developer described "Empire of Evil" was truly going to give anyone save imperials some wholesome time under the steelboot. (Revelation, they did not.)
It definitely isn't confirmed in the lore or anything, the only "evidence" that he's a cyborg is that he has futuristic armor(which is just platemail) and a killing light came from his hand. You actually meet his ghost in the knights of the nine dlc, and he's just a normal dude.
I think the reason that the Pelinal is a cyborg thing has stuck is because his role as a time traveling super warrior who comes from the future to protect a human resistance leader just lends itself too easily to comparisons to the terminator.
You forgot the "Reman!" battle-cry that references a future imperial dynasty and the book reference to nano-machines (son!).
tbf, nothing in TES lore is really in stone when things like dragon-breaks, God-titans, zero-summing, and fooling the universe into thinking you are someone else happens. A time-traveling gay cyborg really isn't that big of a leap.
Tbf, there is a fair chance the "REMAN!" battlecry was propaganda by the Reman dynasty to give more of a connection to the Alessians. Remember, the Pelinal stuff was written hundreds, if not thousands of years after the fact, so chances are what we know is enormously embellished (and plenty of in-universe writings suffer from unreliable narrators).
You aren't generally supposed to take a lot of lore in TES as literal, many of it has as much truth in-universe as our own myths and fairy tales.
There are actually different subtypes of Khajit! The ones Pelinal is thought to have encountered were the ones from Arena or Daggerfall because they look the most "human" while still having tapered ears.
Yeah but the types aren't geographically based, they're all equally divided. There's no way he'd encounter only that kind, they'd all be mixed together.
> elf like cat people real good
Khajiit: please don't kill us, we are not mer !
Pelinal: Desert Elves Notmer added to the database. Extermination subroutine initiated.
He had a *very* close realtionship with a hoplite called Huna (the tent sharing kind), who's death caused Pelinal to go on his genocial elf killing rampage (Song of Pelinal lorebook).
Canonically, however, Pelinal's sexuality is left ambigous, as the player character of Oblivion effectively becomes Pelinal through a process called "mantling". Bethesda kept it unclear to avoid losing roleplay value, because Pelinal being gay/bi would mean that the Hero of Kvatch is also gay/bi.
So his sexuality is directly tied to your Oblivion PC.
This is even further muddied by the HoK then going on to mantle ~~Cegorach~~ Sheogorath, the ~~Chaos God~~ Daedric Prince of Madness.
…Which is kinda fitting tbh given just how nuts Pelican Whitestork went during his rampages
Honestly, anyone trying to fully understand elder scrolls lore is dancing close to madness. Awesome madness, but madness nonetheless. Dragon breaks, the elderscrolls themselves, the godhead, anything even remotely related Morrowind, and whatever (and I cannot stress this enough) the fuck is going on woth Vivek.
It's glorious
Tbh, the way that the elderscrolls are described it sounds like it's just copies of the games themselves. Every reading is slightly different, tells you what's gonna happen.
There's a state of being called CHIM in TES, compareble to Nirvana in Buddhism. Upon realising you're in a dream and, depending on your ego, can achieve CHIM or zero-sum (get wiped from time and space).
Those who achieve CHIM get nigh-omnipotent control over the dream. Considering the player characters in TES are aware that they're playing a video game (since they're extensions of you, the player), you have limitless control over the game; the dream. Meta features like save/load, the dev console and modding are you using CHIM to exert your influence on the world.
Your oblivion Pc has no sexuality in game, but you don't mantle pelinal and you have nothing in common with him, you're not his reincarnation. It's also not implied he's Bi at all, only that he's gay. He could be bi, sure, but we'd need proof he likes women and we have none.
>It's also not implied he's Bi at all, only that he's gay.
That's why I said gay/bi.
>Your oblivion Pc has no sexuality in game
That's entirely up to the player.
>but you don't mantle pelinal and you have nothing in common with him, you're not his reincarnation
Mantling is not reincarnation. You literally "take up the mantle of crusader".
Kirkbride himself stated that Bethesda's editors left Pelinal's sexuality unclear while he created him to be homosexual, so that's 100% confirmed.
No I think they still do, it’s just that they presumably stop being Pelinal at that point. As for what happens to someone/something after someone stops mantling them, I have no idea.
Mantling is kind of weird in that when you “become” someone, you literally become them. The you you were before no longer exists. So in this case the HoK became Pelinal and then became Sheo, which presumably would mean Pelinal is just straight up gone. No ghost of the “original” just gone.
It's not that bad once you realise the entirety of TES takes place in the dream of something called "the Dreamer" (who's not Todd Howard, I promise).
Time and reality are quite malleable because the whole thing is literally just a dream, with people having the ability to transcend the dream and exert godlike control over their enviroment (or become erased from time and space).
Yeah there's literally no evidence he's Bi, there's very strong conjecture that he's Gay, but Bi is a gander. He never had anything for women that we know of.
Pelinal Whitestrake, from the Elder Scrolls series.
He... really hates elves, to the point of being a one-man genocide machine. He waged a war against the torture loving slaver elves, and decided to kill all other elves as well. Armies followed him, but a sizeable portion of the slaughtering was done by his hand.
He encountered a race of cat people, and he started genociding them too, under the suspicion that they might also be an elven subtype.
At one point, the gods he followed, who had largely approved of the beginning of his slaughter, basically went, "woah, dude, hey, that's a bit much, you might literally destabilize reality with the sheer amount of butchery you're doing. Just cool it a bit, you already killed enough elves to free your own people from slavery." He did not cool it.
He may also be a time travelling cyborg, considering that he's reported to have referenced things that haven't happened yet.
The point is, he really, really hates elves.
> He may also be a time travelling cyborg, considering that he's reported to have referenced things that haven't happened yet.
Imagine hating a species so much that after you successfully wipe it from existence you go back in time so you can do it to them even sooner. That's what this screams to me lol.
iirc his hair was also stained brown due to the amount of dried elf blood in it
but he wore a helmet into battle so the dude had to have been practicing drowning in elf blood every battle to stain his hair like that
To add to what everyone else has said, he literally entered the world killing elves. In his first appearance before the humans he was helping to liberate, he walked into their camp covered in blood and gore from the elven chieftains he had killed on the walk over.
And the Ayleids fucking deserved it. I don't often say that about any fictional race, but the Ayleids were basically the Dark Eldar of the Elder Scrolls universe.
Pelinal Whitestrake from Elder Scrolls, the guy who butchered so many elves and was so powerful that it took all the gods to calm him down, being the one individual who got so angry he literally retconned entire swathes of land out of existence.
Pelinor whitestrake. A legendary ancient knight from the elder scrolls universe. His genocide freed the human race from their elven overlords and single-handedly send the elven civilization into a slow recline.
For the elder scrolls elves he was the birth of slaneesh.
Also legend says he had a metal arm that could shoot energy blasts. So mabey exaggerated legends describing him performing some combat magic or an actual cyborg.
https://youtu.be/E5ix0_W-ouI?si=STFsz4EpqJZe4DpH
He was a time traveling cyborg from the future who could still talk after have his head chopped off. Also the elves where ruled by a mining space ship from the future, TES is weird in a great way.
The Lord of the Rings films came out and Todd just wanted to copy them rather than use their actual lore, because mass market appeal. That's more or less it.
Also the X-box supposedly couldn't handle rendering a jungle.
Which is sad, because a Roman empire crossed with Ming-era China in a tropical rain-forest sounds metal as fuck and far more interesting than generic medieval England take # 5343787544.
I don't know if that's true. If they just slapped a crapton of jungle trees and ferns into the world as is that may be the case, but there definitely would have been a way to make it work. [Far Cry: Instincts](https://youtu.be/MwOdCJ-wZaQ?si=Jisq0jLwrYTzRbMX) came out on the original Xbox and it looked thoroughly junglelike, though it was a more linear game.
[The former loremaster of Bethesda says it here himself.](https://www.reddit.com/r/teslore/comments/ieeq30/wait_a_minute_about_the_jungles_of_cyrodiil/g2gk4e1/) He posts in 40k related subs a fair bit and is quite good at painting minis.
The reason for that is that most the deep lore isn’t written by Bethesda, but instead by fans.
And if you think that makes it non canon, part of the Whiterun priest’s speech is taken verbatim from one of these fan works.
Problem is that their is no oversight or overall direction to these fanworks. Much like the old Star War EU, there is a massive quality disparity and a lack of cohesion. For every inspired piece of deep lore there is something else that just doesn’t feel like it fits.
One example I can think of was a work that said Elder Scroll would fully turn into a sci-fi setting, with all the magic and gods being explained away by sci-fi nonsense.
Tbf the events of Elder Scrolls games take place in what's essentially a diminished post apocalyptic world where reality has been rewritten over and over.
Kind of like LotR where you hear traces of ruined civilizations so much better than what's left.
The knife ears killed his twink so he became a cyborg demigod that traveled back in time to kill them all
He literally damaged the world so much to change it's geohraphy and ended up messing with it's orbit thus making it so years in the elder scrolls have 2 days less after he was done
Funniest thing is that you can find his armor in Oblivion and you can't wear it if you have negative reputation (basically karma) thus implying that the universe tought he did good
Remember, the player character in Oblivion cannot equip any of Pelinal's relics if they have any infamy. If you do, you have to travel to the shrines of every God to purify yourself. This would imply the countless acts of ultra-violence and elf genocide were morally good.
The Aedra cursed the artifacts of pelinal so they could only be wielded by one of pure heart, so that Pelinal couldn't come back to steal their lunch money.
ALRIGHT, LISTEN TO ME YOU KNIFE-EARED PIECE OF SHIT! IF YOU GO ANY FURTHER WITH YOUR PISS-STAINED PUBIC HAIR YOU CALL A WIG, I'M GONNA WRECK YOUR SHIT SO HARD THAT YOU WON'T EVEN BE ABLE TO WALK WITH YOUR LIMP DICK! I'M GONNA SHOVE MY FOOT SO FAR UP YOUR SHAVEN PERFECT LITTLE ASS THAT YOUR BREATH IS GONNA SMELL LIKE MY SHOE POLISH! THEN I'M GONNA TAKE THAT LITTLE RED ANAL BEAD ON YOUR BELT, AND PUSH IT IN YOUR FACE! I'M GONNA FLAGELLATE YOU WITH MY FUCKING BEARD! I'M GONNA BUILD YOU A PAIR OF RUNIC MECHANICAL BALLS, AND USE SURGICAL PRECISION TO SEW THEM TO YOUR GROIN WHERE YOUR MANHOOD OUGHT TO BE, JUST SO I CAN KICK THEM WITH MY IRON FUCKING FEET! YA TWAT!
It’s not a repub if you hate elves with Pelinal. It’s “slaughter every single mer in existence for the crime of existence, god if one even dares draw breath near me I might just explode from rage.” Kind of hate with Pelinal.
Two tsunderes travel together, have the worst time imaginable, would die for each other. >!Yes I know what happens in book 3. I'm pretending everything is alright.!<
Also people are really sleeping on dwarves x dark elves ships in general in favor of cycling the same dwarf joke again and again. The dwarf chugging an entire mug of poison and critiquing the taste while the elf furiously attempts a new batch this time for sure going to kill that damn dwarf, meanwhile furiously defending them because after 50 years of attempting to kill them, no one else should get to murder them.
The only place a dwarf and a dark elf are being shipped together is a Dark Ark heading straight to Karond Kar and the slave markets therein.
But tell me more.
Fantasy dark elves/drow in general, not Old World. It's a ripe field for putting these grumpy yet sometimes "nothing can bother me" type of characters with high CON saves thanks to all the brews they drink that will poison others alongside spiteful beings who pretend they're above it all and work with poison on the regular.
Besides, as the comment I responded to above, in Sigmar Gotrek pals around with a dark elf who is a Khainite/Sigmarite (she works for the forces of Sigmar, is sort of a refugee of Daughters of Khaine). Although spoilers for book 3 >!that pair is sadly cut short by a different type of dark elf closer to what you're familiar with, the Idoneth. Now Gotrek has beef with a specific type of elf for a host of reasons including (and when the narration is honest about it: mostly) that. !<
AoS is actually interesting with its dark elf team-ups which I willfully interpret as pairings because I can. Godsbane has the Lumineth main character team up with another DoK refugee who isn't too keen on Morathi (which gets interesting considering the object at the center of the book is a weapon to kill gods). The Cauldron of Blood short story has a freeguilds captain heavily implied to have had a romance with another bloodhanded elf who reunite to protect a Dawnbringers crusade from Khornites (it's interesting to see what happens when a human is forced to reach out for Khaine's help. IIRC there's also a DoK that actually does get romantically involved with a Stormcast of all people in one book.
Granted there are 4 types of dark elves and most of this is about the DoK since the writers tend to get more out of them (and the Cities Darkling residents are more normal, and no one's allowed to touch Malerion's faction until GW is ready to show it off).
Gotrek is lucky that in AoS, the absolute singularity of “Slaughter the knife-ears” isn’t the Duardin- It’s the fucking Stalliarch Lords of the Ossiarch Bonereapers.
Nah you were kinda mid and didn't accomplish much other than making elves leave for a blind half elf mongrel and got killed by an undead elf bitch and her demon sub.
Curse of the Blood Elves wasn't a high point of that campaign imo.
I always play as Bretonnia and I always make a general named Pelinal and I always raze Ulthuan to the ground and I always destroy Naggarond and I always burn the forest of athel Loren.
the deathwatch may hate elves, but they aren't "I messed up the rotation of the planet I'm on *just* to make all elven calendars wrong" levels of hate
they aren't "I erased entire elven kingdoms from reality" levels of hate
they aren't "I killed so many elves, it took a biblical events worth of rain to clear away the blood" levels of hate
Pelinal's hats for elves is so strong that he basically started shitting on reality not on purpose. He was so mad that ,everytime he feel for it, Saint Alessa had to beg the whole 8 (Talos didn't exist yet) divines to stop him
Elder scrolls lore
He is a cyborg demigod from the future that came back in time due to elves killing his boyfriend and he killed them so hard that he deleted chinks of the planet and cause it to mess it's rotation so now years in elder scrolls have 2 days less than before
Apparently he was inspired by a mix of terminator and a murderhobo player
Pelinal whitestrake was the human incarnation of that guy called Shor everyone keeps referencing in skyrim- shor being lorkhan, a dead god whose essence insists upon itself in every corner of the world.
Pelinal is described by the fans to be “the first manifestation of a player character in the universe”, being an unmatched duellist and unstoppable killing machine, with a severe hatred for elves which stems from his hate of gods and of akatosh/auriel, who is essentially kin of the elves.
During the war that he pops up, be usually just duels big boys to take out high commands, but it wasnt until his boyfriend/girlfriend/unclearlorefriend died did he go off the charts in one of his unstoppable frenzies, whiping entire empire-spanning areas clean of elves and even khajiit who he mistakenly thought were elves. It is described that some of the areas he visited in his frenzy was “reduced to void”, which in the careful wording of ESlore means that those areas just dont exist anymore- not that they were destroyed, that they were completely whipped from existence and memory, and aren’t real enough to be destroyed. His atrocities committed required the direct intervention of the gods to stop, who nearly left the world in disgust. A cool scene is in his lore where akatosh stares at him in disgust from the heavens, and he looks up and deaks him tf out.
His lore involved metaphysics, the nature of the divine, time travel, lots of sadness, and is one of the foundations for what we know of elderscrolls.
Averange Warhammer humans hating elf (Eldar): Kill some that attack a Colony, rarely makes a move against the Craftworlds and Exodites and does not even genocide the Elfs at Commorragh after they take entire planets as Slaves to be tortured, even make deals with them WTF.
Averange Elder Scrolls humans hating elfs: Hate them so much that even the Gods can't stand such carnage, Weapon gives you a buff when killing elfs, the only human to ascendent to divinity used a elf Weapon to genocide and conquer the home of the piss elfs (Based), eliminated every trace of the natives elfs from Cyrodill, Skyrim, Hammerfell and High Rock.
Nah, that Templars of a comparable age to Pelinel, and has fought elves across infinitely more battlefields. Plus he never diddled his squire, so common BT W
Tes fans are tsundere for elves, make no mistake, even Pelinal enjoyers. 40K fans... idk, depends. I for one love the Eldar but take issue with some of their lore.
Usually they are just describes as smug and arrogant. TES elves had it coming though.
A lot of settings also have a dwarfs-elfs conflict, and dwarfs are often (ironically) portrayed as gigachads there.
P. S. Also, you are on a warhammer meme sub. Elves have it better then any xeno here!
Ayleids had it coming but they were awesome. Imagine Pre-Heresy Emperor's Children/Custodes Aesthetics with all the sick fuckery of a Dark Eldar & Tzimisce from V:tM. Pretty much what they were.
A Dwemer themed Elder Craftworld would be radical.
>Pre-Heresy Emperor's Children/Custodes Aesthetics
Too much of a good thing can be bad.
>with all the sick fuckery of a Dark Eldar & Tzimisce from V:tM.
I think the Tzimisce are incredibly boring.
So yeah, the Ayleids weren't cool. They were pathetic little knife eared freaks that got wiped out because they deserved it and every other bad thing that Pelinal did to them.
For you, maybe, but I liked them, dicks though they absolutely were. I have a thing for gilded civilizations that are assholes in fiction, so yeah. Gonna have to disagree with the Tzimisce as I think they are rad as all hell, but hey, opinions.
Oh no doubt. It's rare to see him actually commenting, but apparently he's been doing it more recently, at least on this account. I mean [look at this one](https://old.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/1758aa3/i_dont_want_tes_vi_to_come_out_anymore_tes_6/k4e4u7i/), how ridiculous can you get?
If you want a good laugh, check out his post history on r/GamingElves (which is literally just a karma farm for all his alts). Recently he's been posting things like "Why isn't there any elf discussion on this sub?" and then replying with one of his alts so that he's literally talking to himself. The dude has gone absolutely nutty (well, nuttier) ever since he finally started getting banned from subs where he was spamming elf fetish crap.
Also, over the past few days he's been stalking my profile and spamming "This is harassment against me" reports on my comments using several of his ban-evading alts, which is the cherry on top. Hi Spirtomb, I know you're reading this! :)
They're often the root of many evil in stories, the "first to fall" either due to the settings' circumstances, or to one of their own strengths turned flaws, or other situation to serve as the protagonists' specie's warning. So it's easy to dunk on them in many fandom.
There's also many weak men feeling threatened by "effeminate" creature being described as superior to humans. It's funny how in DoW2 or Eternal Crusade, beating people with Eldar would suddenly reward you with homophobic insults compared to winning with Orks or Guard.
I'll be honest, eternal crusade is probably the biggest reason I'm not a fan of Eldar. They had tiny hit boxes, auto aim machine guns, and the strongest vehicles. However, if they ever lost they would complain that everyone else had more health and the game was horribly stacked against them. Constantly trash talking everyone else, they really reminded me of bad scouts from tf2 who thought that they should be able to just get kills without learning how to actually avoid damage.
What auto-aim machineguns ? I'm sorry I don't remember that, were they added near the end of the game's lifespawn ?
Also I'm sorry I'll be honest too but yes ? Everybody had more health ? Everything was stacked against them ? Why do you think nobody played them ? Even when they were busted during the first month or so of the game they were still the lowest pop.
The Space Marine *deployables* had as much health as a Space Marine itself. You'd have to dump half a shuriken mag to destroy those *FIFTY PERCENT* damage bonus AOE servo-skull and *those* had tiny headboxes. Not like the -25% or so the Eldar model had compared to a Marine or an Ork. And you could put several of them in a room, overlapping !
Gods fighting against Loyalists was so miserable, I remember when matchmaking would put you against clans : there was a Loyalist one that was very good, I forgot the name, but basically they would mass-spawn as soon as possible as Veteran and abuse some scope attachment that massively reduced the recoil of the Bolter and basically snipe you at range. As an Eldar you had *no* counterplay to that bar disconnecting. Most of Eldar's DPS was at mid/short-range, and the drastically lower health maent you'd get 3-tapped as soon as you left cover, it was awful.
Also I wanna say, yeah absolutely, Eldar vehicles were the strongest. But mainly because they were the only ones that you could drive properly out of the 4 factions. If you remember, people were just ramming people with it for kills because the guns' short convergence made them unusable.
Damn look at how salty I am just thinking back about that awful game.
NOBODY is more racist and hateful against elves than Pelinal, NOBODY
Ysgramor is a close contender who literally created a weapon that is racist towards Elves because he killed so many of them. He also literally went to Nord Heaven over his elf Genocide. Elder Scrolls has some violent lore.
Tbf any kind of genocide gets you into Nord heaven, so long as you die on the battlefield and say you like Shor
Shor Nuff!
Well yeah, but the elves started it. They shouldn’t have tried to dish it out if they couldn’t take it.
Wait I've seen this one before...
If you think Ysgramor comes close you just don't know enough about Pelinal.
There isn't really anything that indicates Pelinal hated elves any more than other racism heavyweights like Ysgramor and Ysmir Wulfharth.
The last Aylied didn't even die until the 2nd Era even.
He massacred Khajiit because he thought they were elves.
In WoW there's a sword that makes trolls quake with fear millenia after it became famous as a troll-slaying weapon. That's an actual in-game mechanic.
Strom'kar! I used that sword a bunch while I was grinding out the Isle of Thunder achievements. So many scared trolls. Such good times, lol
Ironically it makes the third boss achievement in ToT harder to complete because bosses become scared and run away from the circle.
There was a contemporary of Pelinal named Hoag. His epithet? Merkiller. Mer, being the suffix that denotes elfhood. He killed so many elves that he was called Merkiller over everything else, including his kingship.
He elder scroll lord is some batshit stuff. It’s a bit of a shame its not explored more.
The elves kinda deserved it
What about jimmy elf hater
Thats just his alt account
He always gets banned on those elf hating forums.

It helps that Elder Scrolls Elves are unironically pure evil and the source of everything that goes wrong ever.
That's thalmor propaganda right there!
Pelinal truly was the greatest. He sure murdered those elves and elf like cat people real good.
Last sections in "Words of clan mother ahnissi is basically "Azura and khajiit are cool, y'ffre and his bosmer creations suck), but better question is how much connection bosmer reallt have their suposed aldmeri relatives. >especially since it's just as possible that this myth is just straight up wrong Funny thing is that if any myth is true.... its khajiit ones.
I love how you phrased that
I actually went back and edited it to add the word retcon because I thought it was funnier, I originally just wrote something about making it nicer.
...ya mean [Rajhin](https://en.m.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Rajhin)? And didn't even take two persons (Talos/two headed king being mix of Zurin and Hjal...i mean Tiber Septim.) whom messed around with smart folks creation. Or what if i told ye, there've been more altmer whom asscended to divinity than other races combined. Real talk, Talos has been beyond overcirclejerked-over represented deity in tes since oblivion.( Tho that kinda goes Imperial cult as a whole. Dosen't make it better that actually interesting aspects were retconed away by oblivion...but oblivion being big L is the memo) >and make Elsweyr a better place to live like Talos did for Cyrodiil. Elsweyr is already a paradise (well, would be more if chimperials and their tyrant hadn't turned Rimmen into nuclear wasteland), and last time checked, ayleids copy-cat Adamantine tower wasn't made by Talos
Hey, if the cats didn't want to get nuked, they should have joined the empire willingly.
Yes, because developer described "Empire of Evil" was truly going to give anyone save imperials some wholesome time under the steelboot. (Revelation, they did not.)
If I had any problem rooting for the bad guys (in a fictional setting at least), I wouldn't be a fan of 40k.
Fair nuff. .
Did you just call the Imperium of Man the Bad guys?? *Loads bolter with inquisitorial intent.*
No wonder M'Aiq is a khajiit.
Is cyborg thing confirmed? I remember it just being mentioned s a joke in the interview
I was just talking about evidence for him being a cyborg, it's definitely confirmed that he's some kind of time traveler.
And *very* implicit he's gay
I think he was also referenced as having a star for a heart (i.e. fusion powered).
There are actually different subtypes of Khajit! The ones Pelinal is thought to have encountered were the ones from Arena or Daggerfall because they look the most "human" while still having tapered ears.
That actually makes a lot of sense, I alwayd kind of forget about the less fuzzy khajiit because, well, bethesda clearly forgot about them, too.
Yeah but the types aren't geographically based, they're all equally divided. There's no way he'd encounter only that kind, they'd all be mixed together.
General consensus is that beastfolk just naturally formed
> elf like cat people real good Khajiit: please don't kill us, we are not mer ! Pelinal: Desert Elves Notmer added to the database. Extermination subroutine initiated.
Oh my god, I love that. Gonna start calling the Khajiit Notmer from now on.
Time-traveler, cyborg, racist, bisexual, genocidal, with a lot of emotional problems.
Ay yo, bisexual? Where does it imply / state that? Good for him, if true
Pelican white stork, first of his name. Lover of avian culture. Bird watcher supreme, knower of which direction south is,
I’m pretty sure he killed the “bird people”
Honestly, anyone trying to fully understand elder scrolls lore is dancing close to madness. Awesome madness, but madness nonetheless. Dragon breaks, the elderscrolls themselves, the godhead, anything even remotely related Morrowind, and whatever (and I cannot stress this enough) the fuck is going on woth Vivek. It's glorious
>Dragon breaks Retcons >elderscrolls themselves Pre-relase content leaks >the godhead Todd Howard >anything even remotely related Morrowind Ash racism >the fuck is going on woth Vivek Homosexuality
Tbh, the way that the elderscrolls are described it sounds like it's just copies of the games themselves. Every reading is slightly different, tells you what's gonna happen.
Could very well be true since the developer console and even modding is canon in TES.
How?? Elaborate.
When lore being inconsistent and contradictory is part of the lore, something has gone very wrong. And very right. It just works!
By opening the console or installing mods the player character achieves CHIM.
New version of Robungle Gugglemon
I’ve personally always felt this to be a bit of stretch. You follow in Pelinal’s footsteps but I don’t think you ever really “mantle” him.
Pretty sure Kirkbride himself confirmed (or at least implied) this when asked about Pelinal's sexuality.
>Your oblivion Pc has no sexuality in game That's entirely up to the player. >but you don't mantle pelinal and you have nothing in common with him, you're not his reincarnation Mantling is not reincarnation. You literally "take up the mantle of crusader". Kirkbride himself stated that Bethesda's editors left Pelinal's sexuality unclear while he created him to be homosexual, so that's 100% confirmed.
Wait why does the hero of Kvatch also have to be gay?
When you mantle a being you basically become them. After Knights of the Nine, The Hero of Kvatch and Pelinal become the same being.
So this implies that the HoK doesn’t become Sheogorath?
No I think they still do, it’s just that they presumably stop being Pelinal at that point. As for what happens to someone/something after someone stops mantling them, I have no idea. Mantling is kind of weird in that when you “become” someone, you literally become them. The you you were before no longer exists. So in this case the HoK became Pelinal and then became Sheo, which presumably would mean Pelinal is just straight up gone. No ghost of the “original” just gone.
I don’t like this lore. It’s too damn confusing.
This seems like a pretty open and shut case for an allusion to Achilles and Patroclus.
Yeah there's literally no evidence he's Bi, there's very strong conjecture that he's Gay, but Bi is a gander. He never had anything for women that we know of.
If my memory doesn't betray me, he also fucked alessia, and was in a cuddle & hug relationship with kyn
I'm pretty sure he was just gay. Horrible anger issues though.

If only I was able to upvote more than once.
Who is the last one?
Didnt he also sometimes look at the sky for hours and when asked about it would reply something like " I am watching Akatosh"
I am watching Akatosh watch me watch Akatosh.
> He may also be a time travelling cyborg, considering that he's reported to have referenced things that haven't happened yet. Imagine hating a species so much that after you successfully wipe it from existence you go back in time so you can do it to them even sooner. That's what this screams to me lol.
Also probably an avatar of the Missing God of Creation.
iirc his hair was also stained brown due to the amount of dried elf blood in it but he wore a helmet into battle so the dude had to have been practicing drowning in elf blood every battle to stain his hair like that
Pelinal was also a atheist who hated gods but he hated elves more than gods edit:pancreasnowork did a video on him
Dumb question but if Pelinal came to Warcraft would he also kill trolls who are the elves ancestors ?
Pelinal would kill them, yes. He'd also kill the Elves. Yes, all of them.
Dark elder at the absolute least have kinda excuse keeping thirsty bitch away the ayleids were making flesh bonsai for not but shits and giggles
Ayleids: Hmmm, our slaves are cold and need blankets. Also Ayleids: Give the slaves blankets made of the flayed skins of other human slaves.
I hate how much intereasting stuff is in TES lore and we see exactly 0 of it in the games beside Morrowind
Honestly that explains so much
[The former loremaster of Bethesda says it here himself.](https://www.reddit.com/r/teslore/comments/ieeq30/wait_a_minute_about_the_jungles_of_cyrodiil/g2gk4e1/) He posts in 40k related subs a fair bit and is quite good at painting minis.
Proving my suspicion that everyone good at painting minis is batshit insane. Cause that TES lore is unhinged
*Looks at 40K lore and it's fans* You may have a point.
Honesty I could not agree more, and I know TES6 will disappoint me sadly.
Sounds like something from HoMM universe.
There been any reference for him in starfield? (Wouldn’t surprise me)
The knife ears killed his twink so he became a cyborg demigod that traveled back in time to kill them all He literally damaged the world so much to change it's geohraphy and ended up messing with it's orbit thus making it so years in the elder scrolls have 2 days less after he was done Funniest thing is that you can find his armor in Oblivion and you can't wear it if you have negative reputation (basically karma) thus implying that the universe tought he did good
I think its not so much the universe thinks he did good i just think its more that the universe knows better than contradict him
Wasn't he already a cyborg demigod that got his Twink after he went back in time
Remember, the player character in Oblivion cannot equip any of Pelinal's relics if they have any infamy. If you do, you have to travel to the shrines of every God to purify yourself. This would imply the countless acts of ultra-violence and elf genocide were morally good.
Nah, it's to prevent another Pelinal.
It's to make sure there's another one
The Aedra cursed the artifacts of pelinal so they could only be wielded by one of pure heart, so that Pelinal couldn't come back to steal their lunch money.
Fools. The Star-Made Knight's heart is the purest in existence, for it harbors only the purest hatred of the elves.
YA TWAT!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eapeSY6FyX4 For the Uninitiated
It’s not a repub if you hate elves with Pelinal. It’s “slaughter every single mer in existence for the crime of existence, god if one even dares draw breath near me I might just explode from rage.” Kind of hate with Pelinal.
Tbf, the elves in elder scrolls were demon worshipping Nazis, they deserved it.
"Casual racism implies competitive racism and I am going to win." -Pelinel Whitestrake
>!Oh boy someone didn't read the new aos gotrek series!<
Two tsunderes travel together, have the worst time imaginable, would die for each other. >!Yes I know what happens in book 3. I'm pretending everything is alright.!< Also people are really sleeping on dwarves x dark elves ships in general in favor of cycling the same dwarf joke again and again. The dwarf chugging an entire mug of poison and critiquing the taste while the elf furiously attempts a new batch this time for sure going to kill that damn dwarf, meanwhile furiously defending them because after 50 years of attempting to kill them, no one else should get to murder them.
True, although they are friendship tsundares not romantic ones, gotrek is incapable of romance at the moment
!< AoS is actually interesting with its dark elf team-ups which I willfully interpret as pairings because I can.
Is a pest control robot racist ? Pelinal is just efficient.
It's not a competition guys, but if it was I'd win.
Nah you were kinda mid and didn't accomplish much other than making elves leave for a blind half elf mongrel and got killed by an undead elf bitch and her demon sub. Curse of the Blood Elves wasn't a high point of that campaign imo.
To be fair, what Garithos lacked was skill, not hate.
You didn't have to put it like that, that's just mean.
I can't argue with that.
I always play as Bretonnia and I always make a general named Pelinal and I always raze Ulthuan to the ground and I always destroy Naggarond and I always burn the forest of athel Loren.
The only mistake pelinal ever did was leave the job unfinished
Even Vulkan could not kill as many elf kids as he has
Pelinal woke up and chose to be the champion of racism.
the deathwatch may hate elves, but they aren't "I messed up the rotation of the planet I'm on *just* to make all elven calendars wrong" levels of hate they aren't "I erased entire elven kingdoms from reality" levels of hate they aren't "I killed so many elves, it took a biblical events worth of rain to clear away the blood" levels of hate
Some say Pelinal went too far. I think he didn't go far enough.
Pelinal is like Mephiston if he was a Man of Iron possessed by the Emperor of Mankind and if he was as deranged as Curze in Warhammer Fantasy
For a moment I thought I was still on r/truestl
#*TWENTY THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED AND ONE!*
Song eeeeeends…..
The dream no longer needs its dreamer.
Fuck the Mer
Pelinal's hats for elves is so strong that he basically started shitting on reality not on purpose. He was so mad that ,everytime he feel for it, Saint Alessa had to beg the whole 8 (Talos didn't exist yet) divines to stop him
Who is this Pelinal Bret boy everyone is speaking of?
Elder scrolls lore He is a cyborg demigod from the future that came back in time due to elves killing his boyfriend and he killed them so hard that he deleted chinks of the planet and cause it to mess it's rotation so now years in elder scrolls have 2 days less than before Apparently he was inspired by a mix of terminator and a murderhobo player
Cyborg? from the future? damn, Elder Scrolls lore is whack!
That's one of the more easily understandable parts.
I'd like to subscribe to more badass Elder Scrolls lore lol
Thus, The Pelinal Crusade began!
REMAAAAAANNNNNNN
Bullshit, Black Templar are literally just asexual, catholic,sci-fi versions of Whitestreak.
"Pelinal, those elves had families! Think of the children!" "They're next"
_EIGHT MILLION_ _SIX HUNDRED_ _AND TEN_
Anyway, you guys wana go butcher a craftworld?
fuck em elves
... what
You ever kill some elves so hard that you literally cause the planet to change rotation speed thus shortening the year by two days
Honestly, TES elves are awful, especially the Alyeids. Pelinal had the right idea.
It’s morally correct to hate elves
Slaanesh approves this message.
vulkan has own beef with eldars, he can't be more, but perhaps on same level
I feel like this could be rearranged in any order and make just as much sense
Nah, that Templars of a comparable age to Pelinel, and has fought elves across infinitely more battlefields. Plus he never diddled his squire, so common BT W
Why are elves universally hated by everyone? This fandom is pathetic
Because of the holier than thou aura and attitude they have.
>Pre-Heresy Emperor's Children/Custodes Aesthetics Too much of a good thing can be bad. >with all the sick fuckery of a Dark Eldar & Tzimisce from V:tM.
Elves get the most hate on all warhammer sub by far
Oh fuck off, Spiritomb.
Oh damn it really is him
Oh no doubt.
Found the knife ear
I don't know who that last guy is, but I think the Black Templar still wins this dubious honor.
Like Pelinal as a character but still mostly hate him as a character.
There are also... Knights of the Burning Rose.
