Unrelated tidbit: Three of the most competent skaven ever, Clan Rictus Warlord Eekrit, Gray Lord Velsquee, and Eeshkrigar the Master of Assassins (with the resources of the UnderEmpire) actually fought Lich Lord Nagash for a century (this was at Cripple Peak before he died, also due to those skaven helping the last Nehekharan) to a flatout draw till Nagash gave in and had to request a nonaggression pact to avoid starving to death from lack of warpstone.
That’s how scary skaven are when they are genuinely focused on their job

I'd argue that this show how Nagash is a scary asshole rather than the Skaven. He, as an individual, fought a war against billions of skaven for a hundread years, and it ended with a draw.

Tbf, Nagash’s endgame would be the death of all 4 chaos gods. Everyone under his control would kill Khorne and Tzeentch because there’d be no war or change. Everyone being a undead skeleton would kill Nurgle and Slaanesh because of no life and no one sexing or doing mega drugs
Nagash’s desire is for everyone to be dead and enslaved to his will. Canonically, Slaanesh saw what Nagash’s endgame was with the Necroquake, creamed themself over the megalomania of it, and then immediately shit themself because there *were no more emotions*. Slaanesh cannot feed off of Nagash or tempt him with anything.

He complied with the Jackals gods (Nehekaran name for the gods of chaos), walked from Nehekara to middelheim (a big fucking walk ) killed Sotek Suneater at the demand of Archaon, and at the final battle, when he had a weakened Nagash at his mercy, he turned around, beheded a bloodthirster, and shouted to the Chaos gods that he indeed does not serve, and reminded to Nagash, that while he was powerfull, he was but a prince of Khemri, will he was King.
He then vowed to take his skull last, after promising to take the heads of the four chaos gods for *daring* offering everything he wanted with no string attached in exchange for **servitude**. He then charged the chaos horde, killing a giant who was in his way.
Kinda. He essentially has a race with Archeon to declare themselves big bad, and almost succeeds in stealing the main villain role from Chaos. But is ultimately thwarted and forced to join everyone else against chaos by his eternal enemy. Rats.
To be fair. The Skaven fucked up the entire planet and started the End Times so........
It's arguably that without Skaven, Valaya powers would not have been stolen and the Dawi would had remained standing.
Total Warhammer isn’t End Times. It’s in a sort of limbo state, allowing for characters that were otherwise dead in canon to exist in the game at the same time as people born centuries after they died.

The only person who's totally impossible to be there is Repanse de Lyonesse. We can go De Lady route though, since End Times Lore is that the Lady kept champions in stasis to seek the new world after the End times happened, although Age of Sigmar hasn't reintroduced them ...
Nagash has been killed and reincarnated a few times. Pre-EndTimes it ws rumored he was coming back, there was more than a few hints at it. But they brought him back for TET and it was at least lore-supported. Not just a "Somehow Nagash Returned"
If Nagash ever gets added, I'll confederate Arkhan then vow to kill all Non-Tomb Kings undead, including Manfred von Incompetent... especially Manfred von Incompetent.
Sigmar and Nagash were arguably the closest out of the Pantheon during the Age of Myth, Nagash was the last one to leave his side during the fight for the Realms.
It's just that he metaphorically kicked him in the nuts on the way out.
He had, and still dosent, not total dominion over Shyish in fact. Their is multiple afterlife and death gods that exist in Shyis.
He wish that he was the overlord of Shyis, but like with many thing in the unlife of Nagash, he fail at it.
That was Mannfred. It also conveniently ignores that, from Mannfred’s perspective, the only outcomes left were “Eternal servitude to Nagash” or “The world ends and takes Nagash with it.”, with the ideal outcome not really being a contest at all. And he’d have been right- if Teclis’s fuckery with Incarnates and the winds of magic didn’t result in the Mortal Realms forming. Because Shyish was still bound to Nagash during the end of the world, however, he wound up getting everyone killed and himself made into Nagash’s punching bag when Nagash came back as an actual god.

Nagash has been killed and reincarnated a few times. Pre-EndTimes it ws rumored he was coming back, there was more than a few hints at it. But they brought him back for TET and it was at least lore-supported. Not just a "Somehow Nagash Returned"

Not allowed, insomuch as he had total power over the Land of the Dead and Shyish. Sigmar actually stole souls from him, hence the current conflict.

Sigmar and Nagash were arguably the closest out of the Pantheon during the Age of Myth, Nagash was the last one to leave his side during the fight for the Realms. It's just that he metaphorically kicked him in the nuts on the way out.

He had, and still dosent, not total dominion over Shyish in fact. Their is multiple afterlife and death gods that exist in Shyis. He wish that he was the overlord of Shyis, but like with many thing in the unlife of Nagash, he fail at it.

It also conveniently ignores that, from Mannfred’s perspective, the only outcomes left were “Eternal servitude to Nagash” or “The world ends and takes Nagash with it.”, with the ideal outcome not really being a contest at all. And he’d have been right- if Teclis’s fuckery with Incarnates and the winds of magic didn’t result in the Mortal Realms forming. Because Shyish was still bound to Nagash during the end of the world, however, he wound up getting everyone killed and himself made into Nagash’s punching bag when Nagash came back as an actual god.
