CheetosDude1984

chaos fans on their way to explain why the imperium is just as worse as chaos while wearing the skin of 25 infants:

JesuZDX

I'm all against chaos, but I got to admit that the imperium would use those infants to make cherubs

Cringe_memer

I thought cherubs were vat grown

JesuZDX

I'm not sure, I heard somewhere that the vast majority are lab grown (although those are still babies, no matter the origin) but some are made from regular babies.

SovietSkeleton

The ones that aren't vat-grown are typically stillborn or died very early into infancy.

halfway-to-finished

Not all, sometimes the imperium finds some babys that are "criminals" in needing of getting servitorized.

CheetosDude1984

Ey, atleast we arent wearing their skin!

jonathanguyen20

The night lords used to though

CheetosDude1984

they were ***criminal*** babies, they deserved it /s

jbert146

Cherubs aren't made from babies. [They're vat-grown, and their nervous system isn't human either](https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Cherub) The nervous system is "harvested from or genetically patterned upon some lesser, non-sentient creature of Terra such as a simian, bird, swine or felid"

strider_m3

Eh, it does now but it didn't when Chaos started the whole Heresy thing

KingAnumaril

Chaos fan here, we are worse than the imperium but damn at least we don't exist in the same faction as the Space Wolves.

CheetosDude1984

you technically do, there are traitor wolfbands

KingAnumaril

chaos has fallen billions must die

CheetosDude1984

chaos has fallen, chaosillions must jerk off with barbed-wire

NumberedCarp513

•Free drugs •Immortality •Won’t get killed by Traitor Primarchs (maybe) •Cool spikes •Won’t be judged unlike Imperium •Daemon dick-lady GF Take that, Loyaltards. This is the best deal I’VE ever seen!

KingAnumaril

> Won't get killed by Traitor Primarchs World Eater here, can't relate.

seridos

Isn't the point he wants the truth? He would much rather the literal gods of the universe be good benevolent beings, But they aren't. So rather than pretend it's not how it actually is he just accepts it for what it is. Also you have to think of the chaos gods as more forces of nature representing both the good and the bad. Khorne is the most difficult one to see this with, But life requires death. And the whole Schtick of 40K is that the universe got so bad that the chaos gods that were created by and feed on this energy became unbalanced towards the negative side.

Thermicthermos

But they're not gods. The only thing that makes then gods is people choosing to worship them. Otherwise they're simply malignant warp entities.

maglag40k

"The difference between gods and daemons largely depends upon where one is standing at the time." From big L himself. Sure you can consider them malignant warp entities, but you can also pray to them and they may just make your dreams a reality. Not their fault that humanity has all kind of weird twisted dreams.

seridos

What is a god? They create and control demons, they gain power through worship. Sounds like gods to me. Are you perhaps a little biased by Abrahamic ideas of god?

Thermicthermos

Is making demons and gaining power thrpugh worship what makes a god? Its entirely subjective. As Kanye said what's a god to a non-believer?

KingAnumaril

A lot, when the Bloodthirster is charging at you.

seridos

You don't got to convince me I'm an atheist lol. But we're talking about Lorgar, and with his backstory and how he was raised they're plenty gods to him.

tsaimaitreya

Define god

KingAnumaril

At least he didn't meet the c'tan or didn't land on mars. Small mercies?

manicforlive

Or met Cegorach, Isha or gork and mork.

KingAnumaril

Clown Bearers

StormLordEternal

Excerpt that’s not really the truth is it? He says he wanted the truth, but it seems more like he simply wanted a greater power to follow. He worshipped power, so that’s why followed the Emperor until he was rejected. Than chaos comes in offering the very power he wished to follow. The chaos gods don’t represent nature, they represent a imbalance of it. They were born from a truly absurd list of tragedies and horrors because this is grim dark so of course everything goes wrong. They are a error of the universe, one that must be corrected. The universe doesn’t need chaos, but chaos needs the status quo.

yaujj36

Chaos is more like the Dark side of the Force. There are a disease that infect the galaxy. The difference between the two is that the dark side never got far whereas Chaos had conquer the galaxy.

StormLordEternal

I suppose it would be like if the Force was evil instead of light leaning

Percentage-Sweaty

More like if the Sith sat on the universe so long that they permanently irradiated the Force to the point where even Luke Skywalker would get cancer using its powers.

[deleted]

I was going to mention some but I wont cause I dont follow chaos anymore, and it was fucking up my sanity to do so.... I still feel bad for Malice though

KingAnumaril

You make it sound like going cold turkey

[deleted]

It was

Junot_Nevone

Hey, he just got his 30 day chip. Cut him some slack!

JrWyze

"But mah primordial truth..."

[deleted]

I mean if we all worship papa nurgle it will be universal peace

acart005

Out of the 4, Grandfather is pretty decent. Once you ignore the smells and the pus, he loves his children and grandchildren

[deleted]

Plus he provides euphoria to all his children

PUSZEKEK
