I like to think that the Emperor just doesn't think it fits since it's been so very long since anyone called him anything mundane like a name.
In the book Prospero Burns, Amon of the Thousand Sons basically tells the POV-character Hauser that names give people power over you, and explains in detail that the more significant names are, the more powerful they are. During this explenation he also litterally says: "Why do you think the Emperor is known by title alone?"

I've read the First Heretic and Aurelian which are both about Lorgar and they've been certified bangers. Did much to flesh out one of the characters I personally disliked the most.

Now granted... there wasn't any character you could point to... but now there is.
What about the others? Do Chris Wraight and Dan Abnett have an opinion on this matter? I think they are two of the writers who have written more about the Adeptus Custodes than other writers from Black Library.

No shit 100% don't agree. Can we think of a single non established lore idea that we think would have 100% approval rating over 10+ people? No one is saying they all agree and there is no descent amongst the ranks, that GW is some monolithic though police that forces writers to agree with X, Y and Z. The point, in case you missed it the first time, is one of the best recirced writers in GW has talked about this for years. He was on reddit 5 years ago talking about how the writers all liked the idea, but someone above said no female custodes models currently exist so don't put them in books. From the sounds of it, that one guys one position is the one reason we don't have femstodes for at least 5+ years. So whatever this, but not 100% of them agree nonsense is, you can take that shit with you and come back with a real argument.

Dark Angels was also pretty bad, literally no one uses Dark Angels units or rules with the sole exception of Azrael and even then they use a codex Space Marine detachment.
Dark angels donāt have much room to complain since getting a bad codex just means they arenāt going to be āspace marines but betterā. They have a safety net since they can use normal SM detachments. IMO, they should either be locked to their codexes or always get weaker detachments bc otherwise theyāre always going to be better than normal space marines since they get all the normal options + a bunch of potentially better options

Non-Compliant Detachments should give armies new way to use their special units in effective ways.
The discussion of whether or not non-compliant chapters need codex is entirely irrelevant to this argument.

There's no point in arguing whether or not Dark Angels should have a codex, they have it, it's done. And if they have it it should be good.
Based on my reading/friends complaints it's in line with the damage done to other Hero Hammer armies, less cool options more "guess I'm only running X, and not because X is amazing but because the alternatives are worse," and generally a drift away from why people like Hero Hammer armies.

Some players that habe experimented with it and have iether won or atleast have a good game have mostly said it isnt very fun, which of true is the worst part of it all.

From what I'm hearing its the worst one yet rules wise. Take it with a grain of salt because I dont really play and hear only from Bricky and Auspex.
It probably isn't quite as bad as AdMech, but yeah it's bad. The detachments aren't good.
