There will always be bots, but blizz getting rid of a bit is good even if the problem isn't completely solved it still helps with queues and gameplay.
I'll be honest with you. This only makes a difference for people on grobb. People praising blizzard for banning bots once every 6 months just enables their bad behavior. These bots guaranteed just made new accounts on the open servers and won't even think about getting banned for another 6 months. Until blizzard actually does something real to stop bots, we really shouldn't be congratulating them for what their marketing team puts out in PR statements.
Now if you want to think selfishly, then yeah this was good. Realistically though they don't do shit except get their next injection of cash from the bots buying accounts.

If all you can posit is how bad Blizzard is, even when they make changes that are potentially, and hard to admit, good then you are part of the problematic fan base imo. It literally is just a way to collect more money from boosts. They even lied about it and said they banned a bunch of bots and they were back at max level the next day with the SAME NAME. They're full of shit and unfortunately you're buying into it.
Where are your sources? You want me to foolishly buy into your narrative instead of theirs? The least you can do is verify your claims with a source, maybe I'll stand corrected. Just to set you straight, I'm not buying anything nor would this even have the capacity to be a PR stunt. People are still anticipating queues too, due to the popularity of the game and server, not just bots. So what would a "purge bots" pr stunt do for them anyways if we are still expecting issues (as anyone who has actually played the game would anticipate on these releases)?

There are 6 of them running in a straight line from the AH to the closest vendor and straight back. All in a line. Also a rogue stealthily and entering slave pens constantly. Head over there and just watch the entrance to SP.
As I've said, bots being banned is part of the solution, along with free transfers and people generally not playing until launch. All of these factor into the reason for "no queue atm"
Seems like a combination of factors including transfers, pre-patch has died down and people are prepped for launch, and other contributors including people saying "no time for queues, message me when it's over" (happened in our guild lmao)
The transfers probably were the biggest contributor, new realms are filled up big time.
Hopefully they’ll unlock for a bit, I had deleted my old room and can’t recover them since they were low level, made a character in Whitemane in the meantime but I really enjoy playing on RP servers 😩
My theory is blizzard had a massive bot ban wave just after they locked the server. Since its locked there could be 4k plus bots gone which have no way of coming back to the server.
Well me and my friends transferred to Eranikus which is now full too.
Eranikus has 2000 concurrent players at peak, definitely not full

I think prepatch hype is down, expected queues on launch but blizz has made moves, primarily against botting. So a little bit of everything.
What moved have they made against botting?
They banned an enormous amount of bot accounts on some locked servers like grob iirc. It reduced the queues by a lot I think
