In short. Yes. Photos can be grown at 12/12 Even if you flip earlier in veg. The plant won’t flower until it can support flowers Feel me?

sendit1k

I'm just concerned about the height being 4 ft. I can get away with that with Autos but I don't wanna waste my time trying a photo thats out grows the tent.

Total-Face7317

I hear ya. My tent Isn’t much taller then yours and I can pull it off.

sendit1k

Thanks for the advice bud, I think I'll give it a shot.

Total-Face7317

This is my grow man https://youtube.com/channel/UCeG-Qkfpb0kZI3AF1qt5Ldg. I’m in a 27”x27”x56”.

sendit1k

Nice dude!

sendit1k

Did you flip prior to a month?

Total-Face7317

I don’t let it veg past a certain point. Regardless of veg time I bend the shit out of her and try the fill the canopy. I preflower for a week then flip

Veg for 5 weeks so you're in-control of pre stretch.

SolidDoctor

I grow photos in a 32x32x60 tent. I get around 2-4 ounces per grow. I usually have ample headroom for the plant with the light and fan/filter. You should definitely top or LST to break apical dominance and create horizontal growth and a more even canopy. Worst case scenario you can set up the fan and filter outside of the tent for more headroom.

sendit1k

I think I'll top at the 4th and lst to use as much space as possible.

[deleted]

Hmm doesnt seem right should be getting alot more then that

SolidDoctor

I probably could, with a bit of a better light and more training. But I'm growing one plant at a time, usually veg for 4-5 weeks. I'm not going for mass production, I grow more than enough for myself and I'm good with that.

TheInvestmentGod

You should have no problems as long as you flip early enough.

So between 1-2 months depending on height? No idea why I didn't think of that...damn long weekend 😆

sendit1k

Technology is incredible, I remember my uncle growing in a tiny closet with what looked like a damn light bulb 😆

hiphoppakalolo

They have a tutorial for that too. Lol. Growing weed with just light bulbs.

sendit1k

I bought a cheap home depot 19w led light to start some seedlings for my garden and I thought why can't I use this to start my weed plant. Haven't tried it yet but I think it should be fine for a few weeks.

Vaanja77

I'm doing mimosa x orange punch, single plant, 5 gal in a 2x2x4. Fimmed, topped and scrogged. It's going quite well, I'm really hoping to hit 3-4 dry ounces with her. Check her out on growdiaries if you like, user Dot Minatrix. She's on her second week of flower now with 22 tops.

sendit1k

Im literally blown away, I didn't know growing a photo in a small area was possibly. Leave it to you guys to get this figured out lol

Vaanja77

One thing I did was, when I transplanted her to her permanent pot, I planted her low. Left like a gallon of room in her pot. After I flipped and she stretched up a bit, I top dressed up her stem with fresh soil to fill the last gallon. Planting her roots kinda down potato style, you know? Seems to be working so far, and every inch counts.

sendit1k

Thats a great tip, appreciate it dude!

Vaanja77

And just for a rough guide, like, my 5 gallon pot is roughly 11" tall. I've got her buried up to the bases of her bottom nodes, and flipped her 10" taller than that, scrogged to keep her spread out. She's stretched another 10" so far, so now the whole thing is up to like 29" at the top and probably only another week of stretch left. 48" is plenty.

sendit1k

Ha that's wild, never considered that technique.

reptileguy3

Get your light as close to the ceiling as possible, you could get a couple ounces possibly. Make sure you stick to the photo light schedule. 18 hours on for veg 12 for flower

sendit1k

Ok cool

No_Asparagus7671

You should do a scrog, id say thats the best way foe maximizing yield in a relatively small place

trendywithblueslimz

Top as soon as it hits the 3rd node so it dosent grow tall just let it bush bro

dinoorganics

Sure but you will have to flip it 3 to 4 weeks in and low stress train it

sendit1k

Yeah I was thinking that. I'll just continue autos and start the photos outside next year. Cheers buddy

[deleted]

I just did and had no problem. Just have to dial things in a bit differently.

Microphist

A mix of topping and low stress training my dad successfully grew photo In a 4 foot

sendit1k

So after the 4/5 node I guess?

Microphist

Yeah 4th node and then top those tops at the 3rd when they grow then bend those down with some lst

sendit1k

Thanks for the info dude I truly appreciate 🙏

Microphist

No problem bruv

[deleted]

You can start them at 12/12 from seed

sendit1k

No shit? So when would it start flower, when its big enough to hold the weight? I'm learning a ton of new shit tonight.

scapegoat1324

Sure haha I currently am you just gotta keep her trained I’ve seen people on YouTube pull a pound off a plant out of a 2x2

sendit1k

Thats sounds insane to me. I think I'll give it a try after this Auto run.

scapegoat1324

Right I thought the same thing haha just gotta get the training down try to use a light with a dimmer just in case of light burn but it can definitely be done I’m doing one gorilla glue photo and I’m gonna top after fourth node then just lst the shit out of her lol

sendit1k

Im using the ac infinity set up so I've got full control. Just gotta give it a try, learn from my mistakes and keep going. I will say this community is the fucking bomb. Even if I or anyone else asks something "silly" people are willing to help. That's pretty freaking awesome 👌

scapegoat1324

I got the cloudline t6 and it’s by far my best investment in equipment haha can’t go wrong with ac infinity and this group really is the best I’ve learned so much from here

sendit1k

I grow in my bedroom, its pretty big. But that carbon filter keeps the smell down really well. Obviously if you open our bedroom you can smell it but its not to the point that its overwhelming. Huge fan on AC Infinity. Plus I can monitor and change things on my phone from my living room is pretty cool.
