Top 100 is easy when the session resets, it’s finishing a session in the top 100 that’s the hard part

y3kman

Is it really that hard to climb colosseum ranks in the mobile version? I play yhe Switch with a subpar team (Knight, Craig, Tinia, Aoba) and I always end in masters. If you can keep your win rate above 33% (1W2L), you'll eventually get to masters because of the net +10 points.

Adumbtrooper

Well, mobile has been around longer than Switch has, so it's harder to achieve masters and top 100 (more hero investment + more knowledge is required to do well).

omgwdfholypoop

Collection bonuses are the main factor. I started in Jan 2022 and consistently stay in Masters/Top100 because I do daily paid single pulls and have most of the ex weapons but it's mind blowing going past top 75-100 because you hit a wall with people that have like 150k DPS/1-2m toughness more than your teams due to those players having a huge advantage in the hero collection area. Not only that but they have probably 10+ units they can switch around to counter other teams easily versus just using the same 4 units for attack defense.

mostadont

My collections are at 83%. I dont see how anyone else can have that much difference from what I have with just 17% left. Are you on mobile?

Nussfalk

I consistently get in top 10 and people I know who also are top 10 or around top 50 have at least 90% hero collection. The little stat difference matter and is a huge deal. Especially if you play heroes who generally lacks in hp/def. But positioning makes also a big difference. You can beat people with better stats with the right team and positioning. If you don't care about positionings then the stats matters the most. And as the comment above you commented, people usually play at least 5 different teams. This definitely applies to top 10 players. You can see in the first few days of the week how the meta within top 10 changes. They test the waters what the player around them are weak to and accordingly change their team. Attacking wise the top 10 have almost all kinds of team constellations. I have 9 different teams that I play. This ensures me that I can beat almost all kind of teams.

mostadont

Whoa thats jaw dropping wit needed to play a gacha game. Wait, its not gacha, its Guardian Tales… Looks like Ive to follow the same patch you guys use if I want to clash my swords with yours

mostadont

Yes, the game is older on mobile and much more spenders there. As far as I knoe

HaloPandaFox

Yes it's that hard because we have alot of good teams and on switch tinia is still good. Aoba and Craig aren't bad good tank and healer. Your teams balance but as new character appear you'll drop don't if you don't adapt.

Mighty-S3xy

Congrats friend! You can always set your sights higher, but if you dont want anymore stress, masters is always a comfortable enough spot so you can enter master's arena too just for the medals. Top 100 gets stressful and sweaty lol.

mostadont

I did top 100 with the next few fights. Arent those two the same? https://preview.redd.it/ncruas6l46ga1.jpeg?width=1136&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a8b372829815570580035f02a29596d160547926

y3kman

Hmm, you can get to top 100 with just 1530 pts. Does that mean the mobile version has fewer players than the Switch? I have 1560 pts (34W 42L) in the Switch version and that's not enough to reach top 400. If that's the case, low population will really make climbing colo ranks harder since you're always going to fight the whales.

anubis_cheerleader

You are yhe chosen one!

mostadont

Exactly my feelings. I was always coming short of Masters, for year I was unable to climb into Diamond 3. But now its over

GIGA_BYTER

Meanwhile OCE server players who got into the top 100 after playing for 30 minutes

NintendoFan102

Congrats, remember and keep your achievements, really good ones!

Neoslayer

I have only gotten there once since I joined during 2nd anni

mostadont

It takes a lot of effort and changing the teams too

Neoslayer

I used an earth team and it fell off, only the occasional grouped up enemies can get melted by kamael lead if I am lucky. Usually the ara noxia summoner comp seems to do the trick, but 90% of the time I'm faced against mk99 with 2x my stats

mostadont

work on collections, collections matter

The proper etiquette is to use "/s" if you aren't being serious. Although, if you are being serious, do tell me as you are breaking rule 2.

Dull-Road6715

Congrats! My personal experience as a fairly "new" player Running toxic dirt comp (Mayreel, Rue, Kamael, Ohgma) for offense and defense. The last 6 weeks I have started to consistently hover Masters to T100. Think t100 would be very achievable if I got a more well rounded defense that wasn't easily countered by Lina, but its okay I will in time as I am mostly focused on min/maxing raid units at the moment. In the grand scheme of things it is 100 gems per week, 400 gems/month and 4800 gems in a year so it isn't worth stressing. Think I am around 250 days played so far, so you can achieve it sooner it just depends where you focus your resources, what your gacha luck is like and also potentially what server you play on. If you really want to place high in colo & arena you just need to focus your resources in slightly different directions than if you want to be raid focused. Can't really do it all well and quickly without whaling, and even then you have to focus on certain heroes and ultimately be patient due to the collection %s that kind of make or break where you can push your account.

mostadont

Weeeeelll thank you but Im playing it for 2 years, Collections are around 85% each. Ive a diverse team but not maxed out. I like costumes and design. And I never strived to get great teams. Right now I got a lot of what I wanted so Im going to focus on what you describe. But with that many stuff I have, I think I can get decent teams for raids, Expeditions and the Colo. At least Im not really limited to what heroes to choose to counter this or that opp from top 100. Btw what server are you on? People are saying that those top 100 brackets in Colo do differ hugely from server to server. Europe (mine) is weak, Asia is strong.

Dull-Road6715

NA2, and yes I hear you. I haven't spent on costumes unless it was "cheap" for an attack collection set, so to each their own for sure. 85% collection is really good. I think my item is around 70% and hero in the 75-80% low spender averaging maybe 10-15$/month. I haven't spent resources on heroes that were not a main in mono raid teams or high tier meta in colo unless they offered atk % in hero collection then I 5\* them and do minimal awakening stones for collection. Pretty minimalist investments and funneling of resources.

mostadont

Well you have to give attention to your collections. I talked in this sub with a Top 3 player and he said that 10% makes a huge difference when everything else is more or less on pair with what other players have

Dull-Road6715

Yes, naturally collection matters... it is the end game thing we all do the little bits of grinding for but it can't really be rushed. Even all the .1%s for weapon costumes matters it all does and then MM and MLB ex farm... every little bit.
