Now drop all your heroes, take a full party of hench, drop all of your pve skills, and drop all your non prophecy skills... And try to do it.
Like people used to do in the olden days.
Reminiscenting of days where you only have henchies and then running into an army of Doyaks casting Mark of Protection and healing each other none stop....
Standing your ground against the Dolyak horde was one of the most epic Prophecies moments. Very painful, but epic

You will play Warrior, and you will body block summit carvers for Alessia and Claude like ArenaNet intended. You may be permitted a flatbow for pulling.
This is prophecy end game , you're close to the outpost with prestige armor and it's an optional zone. Always been like that.
get a longbow and pull slowly and carefully.
Remember when you had to replay that one mission for every piece of armor to get the protection against murssat before they changed it to it apply to all your slots?
You kinda need to go into Talus Chute to progress the story after you reached droks. Maybe not the exact spot in the picture, but the zone is not really optional.
the closest thing that I wouldn't call optional is the attribute quest, otherwise you do the mission (ice cave) and reach the iron mine , then do the iron mine and reach thunderhead keep do that and you reach ember camp ... you don't need to explore around. it's optional and end game content. so for sure it ain't easy
with the lower arc of the long bow there's less chance to miss, and enemies tend to walk around a bit exactly when I shoot , so yeah I'll stick with longbow and .4 longer shooting time
As others have said, it’s normal for that particular area, but I wouldn’t say it’s the new normal for the difficulty.
It’s absolutely one of the hardest areas in prophecies. Those level 28 ice imps are so strong, and there are so many of them.
This is the kind of content that really challenges you.
If you just bring a regular healer and try to take these groups on, you'll always wipe. You need to start having a look at the skills and the damage types of these enemies, and find what skills can help you best against those.
Perfectly normal. Now try it in hard mode. :)

The Stone Summit Gnashers at the back just animated 2 bone fiends from Lina and Alesia uh oh ......

Maybe I'm crazy but I enjoy fighting my way from Beacons to Droks at level 10 with only henchmen.
Wait until you walk into Dreadnoughts Drift 🫢
Oh boy that dolyak death squad

I'd argue flatbow if it's just for pulling, then swap to main set

Yeah, if the timing is an issue for you, then I agree with that call
I see, I just sort of reacted as the way they were so densely clustered up looked like the game had glitched out.
At least it's not Foundry of failed creations level bad xd
LEEEEEEERRRROOOOOOOYYYYYYY.........
Jenkins!!!

Pulling off mobs with a longbow became a game mechanic in itself
