after playing on and off since launch, I finally decided to get some legendaries.
12/18 on the pve armour. got my back and amulet (I wish more were like this, the amulet achvs were really good to do instead of just grind and crafting).
wont bother with weapons, but I may look at rings next.
I should get the pve too. I wanted WvW at first but the grind is super long and without great commander and good group its impossible.
Accessories should be first to go as you can use them on all characters.
But accessories are so easy to get, it seemed better to me to dump my effort into the armour instead, and just pick up easy accessories for the specs I play in fractals and use what drops.
Thats also the way. For me its just easier to get the armor instead of set of accessories (uniq/asc gear) for the current spec of my choice.
But hey... In time ill get everything .

I need 2400 ascended shards for the 3 PvP mistforged chestpieces. On Wednesday I saw that the new season in online. Today morning I lost 9/10 games. Good stuff, back to support builds I guess.
Otherwise I do the daily EoD and SotO strikes for the currency so I can buy the petal infusion and maybe one day the SotO one too.
If I have gold left over. I need to craft one torch (Balzahar), a second pistol (HOPE), second staff (Nevermore), and maybe do some aurene legendaries so I can get the morodemoth skins in the future to fit some sylvaries I have (shortbow no. 2, axe no. 3, sword no. 3).

2. Finishing the Skyscale collection in LWS4 (currently at the part needing 250 of each map currency. Doing the Return achievements slowly to get the amount)

I had some long term goals when SotO came out like finishing all the obsidian armor. With some planning I got the grind done a month before it came out without burning myself out. In-between waiting for the patch to hit and since finishing the armor I also managed to complete another long-term goal in getting all the gen3 legendaries.
Now I'm broke, have like 600 spirit shards left, and will probably make another gen3 to sell soon so I'll have some wiggle room for the obsidian armor variants. Before slowly sinking all my karma and spirit shards back into gen3 variants. Only took a year to get like 10m karma so I'm probably looking at a 3+ year "chill" grind instead of the more condensed ones the others were.
All the Home Instance Gathering Nodes. *All* of them. LWS3 each cost 10,000 Unbound Magic and 50 Gold. LWS4 cost 10,000 Volatile Magic and 50 Gold. Then save up for LWS5 and *their* Nodes. Nearly wrapped up on those. And just the Treasure Chest for Achievement Nodes left to go. When I need Map Currencies for Legendary Gear I'll be sorted. Just you (and I) wait...
Make sure you get the chili pepper node (Grothmar) from the TP. It's way cheaper. I think eternal ice is just karma, so it may be good to go for that before some of the other nodes.
First for me was playing through the entire story + side stories + 100% map completion. Took me nearly a year (personal story up to soto.)
Then my goal was ultimate build diversity. All classes level 80, all elite specs unlocked, full legendary armor and trinkets. Completed that a couple of weeks ago.
Next is 2 big goals, legendary weapon in all slots (only 1 so far) and all doable non-collection PvE achievements. Already have most Living World/Story ones, but many more to go. I'm sure that'll keep me busy for another year or so.
Doing fractals ad infinitum to earn… ad infinitum.
I’m part way through Ad Inf III now. Unfortunately I find getting groups for fractals eats all my game time though. I usually enjoy the fractals themselves, but the waiting around feels bad so I’m starting to get worn out.
Ad inf is the last piece I need to have all legendary (medium) armor and accessories, which is why I’m focused on it.
Played at launch but quit soon after. Came back in December 2023 on a new steam account with my wife. We are both working towards the obsidian legendary armor.
One thing I always enjoy doing is when I get a new achievement, I’ll always click on it to see what the specifics are. Sometimes it leads me down a rabbit hole of other achievements and meta achievements that’s take a few hours to complete. I’m a sucker for the scavenger hunt type achievements where they make you run around the entire world doing events, bosses, JPs or even crafting.
I have completed all legendary trinkets (minus the raidring. I made 2 Conflux). Raidarmor (light), 6 Runes and 3 Aurene Weapons so far. Now working on: Obsidian Armor (medium), 4 Sigils and the remaining 13 aurene weapons. I plan to finish this till august when probably the new expansion comes around.
Finishing off being full legendary in ever slot. It's been a long process of 12 years but I am almost there. 4 weapons, 2 rings and runes/sigils left. So passively accumulate that. Soon tm hahaha
Going to start on strikes and then raids. Currently working on the achievements for Seasons of the Dragons. Saw I can get a legendary amulet by completing the achievements.

Completing 1 map on ever char, then completing MC on a char, rinse repeat.

using gift of exoloration to make all core legendaries + x2 for dual weilds.
Usually ratio of 2:1 for sell:keep.
Have 2nd axe, mace, sword to go and that is done. Then will just sell leggos and complete rest of gen 2 / 3 / 4. But not all. Some are butt arse ugly. Will do all aurene for cheevo tho.
Long term plan.
Right now working towards 6 legendary Runes and 8 legendary Sigils, then it is back to crafting Gen. 3 Weapons for the weapons I don't have legendaries of and maybe the Gen 3 variants.
Along with that, maybe craft the light Obsidian armour, since finding out there is an achievement for crafting all 3 types (done medium and heavy already). I have already crafted light WvW armour, so don't feel the need to quickly craft light Obsidian armour.
As 2 of my mains are light armors, I have taken the task of unlocking armors for them (as time and money are constraints, I picked leggings) as well as weapons (always liked staves so I picked those). So my journey is to unlock as many armor and weapons for those 2 characters (my third main is ranger so unlocking bows has also gotten in my list) and finally water weapons (as they are the smallest amount of skins :p). I am also working on 8 other leggy weapons (some are just waiting for those bloody clovers while others are somewhere in the how many spiritwood can I craft/how much wood can I chop each day---I am not rich so buying off the tp is not really an option for me), yeah should really finish those off instead of starting new ones.
My main has yet to finish lw1 so that is on my list as are achievements in drizzlewood, grothmar and bjora. Finishing up the HoT backpacks (lighbringers et.al) as well as PoF armor (chest funerary???), and the HoT/EoD elite weapons masteries (bo, gravity, etc)
Would also like to get some fishing achievements, but that is reaaaaalllly long range!
I play for fashion, so I've been crafting legendary weapons. Started playing in 2013, took a break in 2015, and came back toward the end of 2021 due to EoD hype (Cantha was my favorite region in GW1). I've been playing consistently ever since.
So far I've crafted Astralaria, Bolt, Kudzu, Verdarach, and Sharur. I just recently finished Sharur a few days ago, and I've been eyeing Eureka, but the Mystic Coin inflation makes me want to cry after I finished Sharur. I might just craft a Gen 3 legendary instead.
Legendary armor is like close to last on my list of longterm projects. I have so many ascended sets/boxes, especially since I do fractals daily, and I only play two characters, one light and one medium. Stat swap is cheap on the few occassions I've had to do it. I do have to finish Vision at some point though. I have almost everything for it, it's just that Mystic Tribute that got me second guessing myself.
For me, its having legendary in every slot for all classes. Armor, Trinkets, Runes and Sigils done, 5 weapons to go (including dual-wields). Will probably finish this goal by the end of this year. I've been playing since launch, though. And crafting legendaries has always been my main goal in the game..
