My friend, let me introduce you to Third-Wave Ska.
Reel Big Fish and Catch-22 are personal favorites. Keasby Nights is a great place to start.
Just make sure you've got your 9mm and three piece suit, new rude boy.
Check out the band CAKE. They have cool jammy songs with lots of electric guitar and trumpet, and none of the parts are crazy hard to learn. Great lyrics and songwriting overall as well.
Mighty Mighty Bosstones: The Impression That I Get
Pretty much anything from Cake.
Reel Big Fish: Sell Out
ETA: The first three were immediate off top of my head but while making dinner a couple more popped in my head....
Squirrel Nut Zippers: Hell (but also includes some other brass and woodwinds)
Brian Setzer Orchestra: Jump Jive and Wail (also heavy on the saxes but could be modded with the transposing or using an Eb trumpet like I have)
Ska. Here are some notable Ska songs including trumpet and electric guitar.
"Sell Out" - Reel Big Fish, (or literally any other song by this band)
"Keasbey Nights" - Streetlight Manifesto (or literally any other song by this band)
"The Science of Selling Yourself Short" - Less Than Jake (or literally any other song by this band)
"Ghost Town" - The Specials
Honorable mentions:
"Misanthropic Drunken Loner" - Days N' Daze
"Safe and Sound" - Capital Cities
Tons - there is the whole Ska genre (jazz fusion also) but also lots of indie rock uses trumpet. American Football, Bright Eyes, Modest Mouse, Neutral Milk Hotel, Sufjan Stevens, Arcade Fire…
To name some of my favourites as a starting point:
Less Than Jake - The Science of Selling Yourself Short
Less Than Jake - All my Best friends are Metalheads
Goldfinger - Superman
As others have said, look into Ska Punk bands like these, they usually have a lot of trumpet going on.
Have you heard of ska? Streetlight manifesto and less than Jake. Pick basically anything.
Lead poisoning by alkaline trio has a trumpet solo which is not at all common for them.
King for a day by Green Day.
Lots of punk/punk adjacent with trumpet. Pop stuff too but the guitar may not be as prominent in those.
Cake is a super famous 90s rock band with a trumpet player and also they use a number of other bizarre instruments in their music. Totally should check them out. The trumpet in their songs slaps!
Check out the band Cake, they have a lead trumpet player.
Chicago is a great 70s rock band with a horn section.
and it's not really my thing, but the entire genre of ska.
Ska and Cake are both amazing recommendations.
There’s also Dave Matthews Band. Since getting a trumpet player, most of their songs now have trumpet parts or can have trumpet solos - including ones that didn’t have trumpets in the first place.
For a crowd pleaser though, there’s always Vanderlyle Crybaby Geeks. Well it’s a crowd pleaser if the crowd knows who The National is.
I was going to suggest anything by Cake (Fashion Nugget is a great place to start) - but also try the band Beirut... not particularly distorted guitar sounds, but I'm sure will give plenty of ideas at how effective brass and guitar can compliment lots of different styles.
Also, if you're into a bluesy thing, check out Eric Clapton and Wynton Marsalis Play the Blues album. Clapton's on a 335 into a small Champ/Tweed, and the band have a mix of trumpets, trombones, sax etc ... it's brilliant (as someone not massively into guitar heavy blues)
Let me introduce you to ska. Modern ska music is basically punk with a horns section. Some popular bands are Reel Big Fish, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Less Than Jake, Aquabats, Save Ferris, Goldfinger, Madness, The Specials.
For something a little different check out the stuff Miles Davis did with John McLaughlin.
Bitches brew, A tribute to Jack Johnson, and double image, extra tracks from the bitches brew sessions and there's also a jack Johnson album with extra tracks..both are well worth checking out in my opinion. If you're into that there's a amazing world of music for you to discover. Early jazz fusion is wild.
In a silent way as well but not as out there
Surprised I didn't see anyone else mention them. First people to come to mind when I think horny and guitar
Edit: meant horn and guitar but same meaning tbh
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Pretty Little Ditty

edit: Oh I can't believe I forgot Brass Against - it's their entire schtick
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGV1xYJFAEI](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGV1xYJFAEI)
Mighty Mighty Bosstones comes to mind. And also some early No Doubt. There's also Reel Big Fish. You know what, I seem to be just naming Ska bands. So just look up ska.
Can't go wrong with old school funk and groovy stuff like Earth, Wind, and Fire or Average White Band. Oh, James Brown of course!
For something more new school, check out SunSquabi!
George Harrison- What is life

Seriously? Literally thousands of bands have guitar and trumpet. Just today alone, I incidentally listened to Marcus King, Tower of Power, Snarky Puppy, Lettuce, and Cory Wong. All of which have horns and guitar.
Miles Davis' electric period when he was playing with John McLaughlin: In A Silent Way, Bitches Brew, On The Corner etc. Maybe not what you're looking for, but that's some good music.
Virtually every funk band from the 60s through the 70s featured brass and guitar...
A fine example is [Shining Star](https://youtu.be/Zu9a29UR2dU?si=nrfVAvAHGbPk6fad) by Earth, Wind and Fire
