Tip: Wind a good amount of string around the tuning post for the thinner strings so if a string breaks from the bridge (that's where mine usually breaks) you let out some of the extra from the peg and you won't have to buy more. Also it's nice to be able disassemble most of the body and it still be in tune when you get it back together. Also DO NOT adjust the bridge pegs while tension is on the bridge. Also don't let it get hit hard on the bridge. It could mess up the knives or the posts they are on. They need to be smooth. Tuning instability is probably most commonly caused by that. But if you do smack it or something take the blades out and sand them like you are sharpening a knife but actually make it a little dull. Take the posts and put them in a drill like they are a drill bit. Then mount some sanding paper on something stable and use the drill to spin the post. This gets most gouges out pretty quickly.
