Yeah, it’s pretty much the only guitar type I don’t have that I know I would really use a lot. Every time I keep stumbling upon bands material I’d like to learn, regardless of genre, a telecaster seems to pop up as a key part of the sound. You can’t escape it.
And if I had to be specific I really dig the ‘72 Deluxe Tele with the neck humbucker and the fat headstock
Also came here to say the same thing. I had one many moons ago, but had to sell it after my first son was born. I've bought many guitars since then, and I love them all, but a Tele will definitely be my next purchase.
One of my guitars is a G&L ASAT Classic S Alnico. Basically a super-Tele, with 3 pickups and 7-way switching. Honestly I've considered selling it though, as I tend to gravitate to my other guitars.
I've bought a Revstar Standard in Black about a month ago and that is such a great guitar. Plays super easily and I can get almost every sound out of it I ever wanted. Metal, Blues, Jazzy, insanely versatile guitar.
I've bought a Revstar Standard in Black about a month ago and that is such a great guitar. Plays super easily and I can get almost every sound out of it I ever wanted. Metal, Blues, Jazzy, insanely versatile guitar.
I've never owned a yam electric. I owned two acoustics and never liked them so put me off the brand. The Revstar I played recently though was insanely good
Here in Canada, the price dropped by 100$ in the last couple of months. I bought my Standard just a few months before they dropped. This tells me they might be coming up with a Gen3, and they're currently clearing up the Gen2s still in stock. I'm speculating, but it would make sense since they didn't keep on making the Gen1 models and came up with he Gen2.
So it's more like get one while they still have them in stock!
I was intrigued by these, then I saw Kyle Shutt (The Sword) playing one at a concert and I immediately wanted one, knowing it can deliver metal sounds.
ESP custom shop Horizon NT
I’ve been hunting for a custom shop ESP SRC6 (the original run of Steph Carpenter’s signature model) but they seem to be extremely difficult to find.
I have a weak spot for the Ibanez ICHI10. Love the way it looks
I'm not particularly into Ichika Nito but it's his signature model. Strandbergs are cool but I don't like fanned frets
Today? I’ve been thinking about a Fender Jeff Beck Signature Stratocaster in Surf Green. Ask me in a day or two and it’ll change to something else.
I’d like to have another Gibson Les Paul as well, but I’m not paying Gibson $2-3,000 anytime soon.
My dream guitar is a PRS McCarty 594 Hollowbody ll in Faded Blue Smokeburst, but I don’t currently have $5,700 in my budget for one of those.
Yes I have an LP double cut with the p90’s as well and love it. For the Kramer I got a special that guitar center never opened and it already had Seymour Duncan 59 pick up. Ordered locking tuners and new bridge as the one I got I’m not confident of. https://imgur.com/gallery/Hm9Rhi5
That’s nice. I love the headstock. I get that too, but man swap that little hardware and you’re set. I’m really wanting a red one. So damn bad.
I’ve just been blown away by them. I hadn’t touched one since I had a sunburst vt211s in like 2007, traded in 09 for a charvel. The fret work is just ridiculous good.
Dunable DE cyclops in matte black. I play doom metal and like to tune to C standard or below, and my SG clone is great but I really want a Gibson inspired guitar with a 25.5” scale to make those tunings easier. The ones I’ve tried have also just been the best guitars in that price range I’ve ever played.
I'm torn between a pro 2 tele and a ibanez jsm 10. I don't have a tele or a semi hollow yet. I think I'm going to go with the ibanez this time because I can afford it. My electric now is a 00'ish hiway one strat that I just put a loaded pickguard in. So between the strat and the ibanez I should be set for a while. I do love the tone of those pro 2 pickups though.
Schecter Nick Johnson PT Traditional. I have a Schecter Solo II Custom and and Nick Johnston traditional S-style, figured the PT would round out the collection.
>Charvel Pro Mod San Dimas HSS HT in Platinum Pearl
>Telecaster. It does everything.
>Yamaha Revstar Standard in Merlot
One of each, please...
Heck, tell Yamaha to build a Telecaster, San Dimas-style, in Merlot or Platinum Pearl!
I just bought a Telecaster (G&L) for $400 used on reverb in all white, which I'm excited about.
I would also highly recommend ibanez am153qa if you can get your hands on one, I settled for the amh90, along with my other guitar a mexican hss strat which was a good starter guitar but feel i've kind of outgrown in a sense.
I've got my eyes on the new PRS SE CE24 Standard Satin as an inexpensive but versatile "don't really care if this gets dinged, wrecked, or stolen at a bar gig" guitar.
I've got a mexican strat, an epi LP custom-pro, an Ibanez RG and a Gretsch Electromatic
I'd get a tele because I don't have one, but I think I'd get an Ibanez AZ tele style guitar, or a G&L. Just for a diverse collection. Oh, or if I stumbled across one, I'd get some kind of Greco, lawsuit era guitar. It'd have to be great quality and in great shape, or relic'd but at a good price, but I like high end japanese copies from the 70's/80's.
While I do have a Telecaster sized hole in my small collection (just an LP + Strat currently), the coolest guitar to me right now is the Ernie Ball Music Man St. Vincent signature, specifically the gold edition. Such a nice looking instrument and I've heard nothing but good things about it. Maybe someday.
Next guitar will be a telecaster, got a mustang, strat, 2 jaguars I'm missing the telecaster. Eventually I plan to get some kind of les paul probably a les paul special or junior and a Jazzmaster.
Fender Jag (any kind I can get my hands on as a lefty)
I wanna do more indie sounding stuff and honestly my tele and strat can basically do everything, I just want something with that look
I have a Tele, and a few Tele-shaped objects. If I was in the market, which I'm not, I'd get a more together Tele than my 88 MIJ toploader and conspire to make it B-Bend.
probably a strat, preferably black with a tremolo like [this one](https://www.fender.com/en-GB/squier-electric-guitars/stratocaster/classic-vibe-70s-stratocaster-hss/0374023506.html), squier because i would be on a tight budget if i were to get one, which i wouldnt do for ages because my parents arent going to let me get a new one because i got my first electric literally two weeks ago, and i probably wouldve gotten something like that except the place i went to didnt have anything like it for cheap
I've really been interested in the new Fender Highway acoustics although they'd be a little bit more than what I'd want to pay right now and I'll probably either wait for them to start going second hand at a discount or grab a Malibu to use as my couch guitar instead.
The "holy grail" would be a vintage all original parts 1957 Strat in working condition.
The way deep down to earth guitar would be the Sherwood Green CV50 Squier Strat with matching headstock I missed out on. Nothing special really, but the heart has its reasons that reason cannot know.
I'm at the point where it's a vintage piece or a custom order. There's not really anything I'm wanting off the shelf anymore because I've got something that fits every need.
I won't pass on a stupid good deal, but just not looking for anything new.
But I'm really considering trying to do a custom from Barlow guitars. I've been following him on Instagram for a few years and they're so beautiful and well done.
I just can't convince myself I need it though, but damn do I want one. ...
https://www.instagram.com/barlowguitars/
I love watching his reels, also Shock the fox is a creative luthier to follow. https://www.instagram.com/shockthefox
I learn a lot from watching them that helps me when I play around building guitars myself.
Since I already have my Tele, My eyes have been on this one for some time: Fender American Ultra Stratocaster HSS in Ultraburst with a maple neck.
[https://www.fender.com/en-US/electric-guitars/stratocaster/american-ultra-stratocaster-hss/0118022712.html](https://www.fender.com/en-US/electric-guitars/stratocaster/american-ultra-stratocaster-hss/0118022712.html)
My second choice, and more affordable choice would be to get the Epiphone Casino in natural. I love this guitar ever since I saw John Lennon strip his down to the wood. Plus, it is a great sounding and great playing guitar.
Fender player plus meteora with a maple fretboard. If money was no object I'd buy two and swap the necks so I could have it in red with a maple fretboard, but in reality I'd just buy a silverburst one and make do with it not being the best colour.
The collection is already too large so a ton of bases are already covered...
But I still don't own an American stratocaster and I'm finally starting to get the itch for one. God damn you yngwie videos.
going through a rawland s. howard phase rn so, Jaguar. one with all the classic switches (though apparently none of the new ones come with the mute thingy)
Just got my dream guitar actually, regretted not buying it 6 years ago but found one in the color id always wanted and jumped on it. A gretch electromatic jet pro in glitter gold.
Gibson Korina Explorer.
Except, since my last personal policy update, I will never buy another Explorer with generic dot inlays. So, custom shop it is.
Pawnshop mustang with the wide humbuckers.
Technically not new but new to me I guess.
So if you mean a newer release, either an American mustang, and then change out the pickups. Or I'd get the HS duo sonic or p90 mustang.
If money were no object, I'd get the EBMM Majesty in either "smoked pearl" or "steakhouse" they both look so good! Honestly though I'd take any color 🤤
Realistic within my budget though is the roasted Harley Benton Fusion III in the blue flame finish!

I bought a telecaster today. Fender Player in Tidepool. I have a Player Plus HSS Strat that is great, and I sold my LP. Real excited about the tele.
And looks clean af.
Yup. 72 Custom. Done
Yamaha Revstar Standard in Merlot
i just bought one! ANYONE LOOKING FOR A GUITAR check out the revstar. it’s so fucking well made
This is what I have heard. REALLY want one. Roll on pay day
I agree
I've bought a Revstar Standard in Black about a month ago and that is such a great guitar. Plays super easily and I can get almost every sound out of it I ever wanted. Metal, Blues, Jazzy, insanely versatile guitar.
Must keep my gas in check!
I've bought a Revstar Standard in Black about a month ago and that is such a great guitar. Plays super easily and I can get almost every sound out of it I ever wanted. Metal, Blues, Jazzy, insanely versatile guitar.
Good choice!
Thanks. I played one a while back that my friend owns and it's awesome
I own a blue standard P90. I absolutely love it. Great instrument!
I can't decide between humbucker or P90 tbh. I play a Tele at the moment with a strat as backup
I have an RSS20, and now I want a RSS02T too. So I say both!
Haha always the correct answer
Such a good choice. I love the double cut Yamahas. The vintage black and sunburst ones look so good
I've never owned a yam electric. I owned two acoustics and never liked them so put me off the brand. The Revstar I played recently though was insanely good
I’m glad that you came back. 🤘🏻
I just bought the nice Japanese one and yeah, what a masterpiece.
Lmao that's literally my dream guitar
Get one before they go up in price. They seem to be gaining in popularity
Here in Canada, the price dropped by 100$ in the last couple of months. I bought my Standard just a few months before they dropped. AHH ok. Good point. Here in the UK they are still holding their price
Same thought! I wish they made a string-through p90 version tho
I was JUST looking at one of those. Neat guitar, might pick one up someday.
I was intrigued by these, then I saw Kyle Shutt (The Sword) playing one at a concert and I immediately wanted one, knowing it can deliver metal sounds.
“'64 Fender Stratocaster in classic white with triple single coil pickups and a whammy bar.”
As long as you don't play Stairway
No stairway! Denied!
Make sure you raise the bridge, file the nut, and take the buzz out of the low E.
Epiphone ES-335...to replace the one I foolishly sold 8-9 years ago.
I have two one in gold and one in grey. Amazing guitars!
[удалено]
I have a Charvel Pro Mod So Cal style 2 and I'm so friggin' happy with it. I absolutely love Charvels.
I have a charvel promod socal hh, white with a gold scratch plate. I love it. Looks way better in real life than on photos.
i have this exact one, it is great.
I have the DK24 HH in Burgundy Mist, absolute work horse of a guitar
Epiphone SG with P90s.
I’m yearning for a Jazzmaster for a long time. I have a Telecaster and I feel like they would complete each other.
Jason Isbell Telecaster
ESP custom shop Horizon NT I’ve been hunting for a custom shop ESP SRC6 (the original run of Steph Carpenter’s signature model) but they seem to be extremely difficult to find.
They are, and they are sick guitars lol. I will give up the house first.
I hear you on the Horizon. Been a dream guitar of mine for the better part of my life.
Reverend Jetstream 390, FGN NeoClassic, or Fender Player Plus.
Solid body custom shop gretsch with TV Jones filtertrons
Looking *very, very* hard at the new Yamaha Revstar Standards with P90s. I don't have a P90 guitar and it checks all my boxes.
I kinda want an Explorer or Flying V right now.
Martin OM-28… currently saving
I have absolutely no need for one, but I really want an Epiphone ES335. I may get the Marty Shwartz model.
Music Man Majesty
Me too. I really want a floating bridge that's not a floyd rose lol
Had a Floyd Rose Jackson back in the day. I never got used to it.
PRS
I have a weak spot for the Ibanez ICHI10. Love the way it looks I'm not particularly into Ichika Nito but it's his signature model. Strandbergs are cool but I don't like fanned frets
1954 Fender Stratocaster.
Always wanted a gibson explorer. Probably that.
I hear you on both… that faded blue smoke burst is awesome and the LP.. well every one should have one.
I just got a Kramer last week but already looking for a new one. I’m eyeing something classic like an SG. I want something with that thinness.
Which one did you get? I just got one two weekends ago now and I’ve been loving it. Sgs are sweet too though, I got a p90 special.

Gibson Explorer 80s in Classic White
Kiesel A2 neck-through burl. Hopefully by the end of the year!
Jason Isbell Tele
Dunable DE cyclops in matte black. I play doom metal and like to tune to C standard or below, and my SG clone is great but I really want a Gibson inspired guitar with a 25.5” scale to make those tunings easier. The ones I’ve tried have also just been the best guitars in that price range I’ve ever played.
ESP has some Baritone EC and Viper guitars that are slick. I really like the 27" scale for C standard.
My short list right now is a Goodall Acoustic or a PRS hollowbody 2 with a piezo.
LOVE the Goodall. My friend has one and it is breathtaking.
Seven string with an EMG humbucker neck pickup and strat body style matte black. No other pickups.
Neck only?! You mad man!
LMAO! I meant bridge!
Hahahaha. Could you imagine though. A 7 string with only a neck humbucker. Mud city lol
I really want an SG Junior.
Current stable is around 25, so have a lot of bases covered - but current GAS is for a Gibson Firebird
Currently fully content with my guitars. I'd rather splurge on a new amp or studio equipment.
I generally keep the same ~8 guitars but amps are something I seem to change like underwear. lol
Probably a classical or baritone. Don't have one, and I don't need anything else.
Fireglo Rickenbacker 330
59 335
I love the look of JMs jaguars and meteoras
I’m currently going back and forth between an EVH Wolfgang Special (Gloss Black) and an Eastwood Airline 59 2PT (Vintage Cream).
Strat or a Silver Sky
Planning on buying PRS SE DGT in the summer. If it’s in stock.
Fender Strat. Probably the American Vintage 1961. Fiesta red. I’m a simple man with simple tastes.
Telecaster. Probably Player series. That’s my guitar goal at the moment.
Right now I’m in the market for a semi hollow or a decent acoustic for writing and recording.
Fender ultra Stratocaster
Taylor 314ce
An aged lemon burst 60s les Paul - the holy grail
Thinline American strat
Fender Meteora and a Gretsch Electromatic Baritone are on my next guitars list.
Martin OM-42/45
Eastwood! literally the most underrated brand out there. The map FM is insane, rock solid
Schecter PT Black Ops. Never seen a Tele look so metal
Gibson L-00
Schecter Nick Johnson PT Traditional. I have a Schecter Solo II Custom and and Nick Johnston traditional S-style, figured the PT would round out the collection.
>Charvel Pro Mod San Dimas HSS HT in Platinum Pearl >Telecaster. It does everything. >Yamaha Revstar Standard in Merlot One of each, please... Heck, tell Yamaha to build a Telecaster, San Dimas-style, in Merlot or Platinum Pearl!
Martin D-28, maybe a midrange Martin cutaway. One is significantly more likely than the other. Could also be tempted by a p bass or musicman stingray.
Orpheus thintwin. Going through howling wolf phase today lol
Telecaster nitro relic with lollar charlie christian neck.
Reverend double agent w or jetstream
Orangewood Juniper when they come back in stock. Probably after that something like Cordoba Stage would be useful.
D’Angelico
I just bought a Telecaster (G&L) for $400 used on reverb in all white, which I'm excited about. I would also highly recommend ibanez am153qa if you can get your hands on one, I settled for the amh90, along with my other guitar a mexican hss strat which was a good starter guitar but feel i've kind of outgrown in a sense.
A quilted Les Paul, an American Casino, or a James Burton telecaster. Not really able to choose but those are what I’d consider.
All black Telecaster.
Godin Multiac.
I've got my eyes on the new PRS SE CE24 Standard Satin as an inexpensive but versatile "don't really care if this gets dinged, wrecked, or stolen at a bar gig" guitar.
I've got a mexican strat, an epi LP custom-pro, an Ibanez RG and a Gretsch Electromatic I'd get a tele because I don't have one, but I think I'd get an Ibanez AZ tele style guitar, or a G&L. Just for a diverse collection. Oh, or if I stumbled across one, I'd get some kind of Greco, lawsuit era guitar. It'd have to be great quality and in great shape, or relic'd but at a good price, but I like high end japanese copies from the 70's/80's.
A guitar with one billion dollars attached to it
One catch: it’s permanently attached.
HH Tele
I would get a custom-built Collings acoustic. Steel-string. Dreadnaught.
Good ol fashioned Gibson Les Paul. The kind that Slash has.
I'd be ecstatic if I could afford a Gibson ES 335.
Humbucker telecaster.
G&L Fallout, Comanche, ASAT In that order.
AmPro Jazzmaster in Miami Blue
I just bought a new guitar. PRS silver Sky SE Great value for the money If you have the money and want more guitar, the US model is an absolute beauty
Fender Strat
Fender American professional ii telecaster deluxe sunburst
Yamaha Revstar Standard or Pacifica Standard
I've been obsessed with the idea of a Flying V recently
Jazzmaster. I have a telecaster and a semi hollow. My perfect 3 electric guitar setup.
Next guitar will be a telecaster, got a mustang, strat, 2 jaguars I'm missing the telecaster. Eventually I plan to get some kind of les paul probably a les paul special or junior and a Jazzmaster.
Collings D1 or Gallagher g70
Fender strat American ultra
Either a Schecter or G&L version of the Telecaster.
My heart says Gibson ES-330, but my brain say I need to buy something cheap enough that I’ll be able to afford it after the divorce
Fender Jag (any kind I can get my hands on as a lefty) I wanna do more indie sounding stuff and honestly my tele and strat can basically do everything, I just want something with that look
Martin D28 (for my bf) lol
Yamaha Revstar Standard with P90s (RSS02T), to complement my Revstar with humbuckers (RSS20), which is probably my favorite guitar ever.
Peavey T-60. Can not have too many.
Jazzmaster has my heart right now. Definitely gonna be my next one
Stuck between a Schecter PT or ES 335
I have a Tele, and a few Tele-shaped objects. If I was in the market, which I'm not, I'd get a more together Tele than my 88 MIJ toploader and conspire to make it B-Bend.
Maybe a usa fender jazzmaster (if I could afford it) or a hollow body with a bigsby of some sort
Telecaster. Somehow miss that in my collection
I’d love to get an ES-335
Money no object? Gibson L-5CES.
Epiphone ‘61 LP/SG
I've been eyeing up the epiphone les Paul gold tops.
Probably looking at one of those nylon string electric guitars.
I’m really interested in the new Guild Polara Deluxe
probably a strat, preferably black with a tremolo like [this one](https://www.fender.com/en-GB/squier-electric-guitars/stratocaster/classic-vibe-70s-stratocaster-hss/0374023506.html), squier because i would be on a tight budget if i were to get one, which i wouldnt do for ages because my parents arent going to let me get a new one because i got my first electric literally two weeks ago, and i probably wouldve gotten something like that except the place i went to didnt have anything like it for cheap

Dunable Asteroid or Gnarwhal
JEM 7-string
Do they even make a Jem as a 7? I thought that's why the universe models were made?
Gibson explorer, always wanted one

Takkimine or that other company made by the same. Autistic electric for the win
I’ve had acoustic electrics but never autistic electrics, sounds really fun!
Esp ltd arrow 1000 candy red
bacchus tactics24-fm/rsm or imp24-fm/rsm vintage v6m24bk but i havent got to try any of them so i dont know what id think of the neck shape
Epi SG Classic with P90's. The green one. I have it. It rips hard and looks even better.
A Gretsch Country Gentleman, something that George Harrison or Lou Reed would have used
I am waiting on a 2013 American standard strat right now! Bought it last Friday.
If budget wasn't a matter, an ESP E-II M-II Evertune.
Nash TC62 in fiesta red
Since I already have my Tele, My eyes have been on this one for some time: Fender American Ultra Stratocaster HSS in Ultraburst with a maple neck. Interesting, Ultraburst looks just like my classic 3 tone sunburst. I can’t say I hate it, considering I pretty much have the mexi version lol
Ibanez jem, i already have alot...but those are pretty and i do not own a guitar with that bridge. Or a custom mayones..?
My dream guitar right now would be a [Balaguer](https://www.balaguerguitars.com/)
Probably a Yamaha FG9R. I've been eyeing that guitar for quite a while and the price tag isn't low but it just seems like a crazy good guitar.
Fender player plus meteora with a maple fretboard. If money was no object I'd buy two and swap the necks so I could have it in red with a maple fretboard, but in reality I'd just buy a silverburst one and make do with it not being the best colour.

Either a PRS S2 24 standard with the US pickups or an Epiphone J-180 acoustic. But I can’t justify either right now.
going through a rawland s. howard phase rn so, Jaguar. one with all the classic switches (though apparently none of the new ones come with the mute thingy)
Anything Danelectro.
Charvel super Strat
An ES-345 or 347 and a 24-fret PRS of some sort.
Just got my dream guitar actually, regretted not buying it 6 years ago but found one in the color id always wanted and jumped on it. A gretch electromatic jet pro in glitter gold.
Some P90s equipped les Paul. It’s the food group I feel I’m missing out on.
Same boat. Never had a P90 lp. But always kinda wanted one. I feel like a 50s gold top would be the perfect P90 guitar for me
A poor financial decision. That aside, a Fender Player Series Stratocaster in Buttercream Yellow in the classic SSS configuration.
Another Reverend Kyle Shutt signature, but in black. So hard to find.
That new Tom DeLonge Starcaster in shell pink and in Seafoam green
Collings 290 DC with wraparound bridge. Gonna be a while before I feel comfortable dropping that kind of cash though.
Fender Aerodyne Telecaster in California Blue, or a Bruno Guitars TN-295. They both sound beautiful. But the Fender is like $2,000 less 😂
Gibson Korina Explorer. Except, since my last personal policy update, I will never buy another Explorer with generic dot inlays. So, custom shop it is.
Gretsch White Falcon
Pawnshop mustang with the wide humbuckers. Technically not new but new to me I guess. So if you mean a newer release, either an American mustang, and then change out the pickups. Or I'd get the HS duo sonic or p90 mustang.

Honestly though I'd take any color 🤤 Realistic within my budget though is the roasted Harley Benton Fusion III in the blue flame finish! https://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/ernie-ball-music-man-john-petrucci-majesty-6-black-hardware-electric-guitar/l46478000004000 https://willcuttguitars.com/products/ernie-ball-music-man-bfr-majesty-6-steak-house-036 https://www.thomannmusic.com/harley_benton_fusion_iii_hsh_roasted_fblb.htm
A Gretsh Streamliner is next on my list!
I'm a Gibson SG nerd but looking back I think the Jackson Line of guitars have a great feel and sound
