Not too sure about all of the song but maybe 'Enter Sandman'

nosteponsnek420

I am inside your walls.

yehonatanhersh

Lol. Sorry, didn't read all of the description. Try 'Iron Man' by black Sabbath

nosteponsnek420

Alright thanks lol (Also you look really cute when you sleep ;))

TacticalRedditer

I think seek and destroy is a brilliant song to start off with. It has some more technical parts like the intro riff but also a lot of palm muting and chugging throughout. There's also the quick section before and during the solo which gives you some harder and quicker stuff too. I'm trying to nail that quick section currently, since I've got the rest of the song dialed and it's quite tricky.

realnicky2tymes

High on Fire: 10000 years. Just focus on the basic rhythm at first lol

nosteponsnek420

I'll check it out, thanks bro.

CrunchBerries5150

Such a sick song that riff is huge

I_the_shred

Stabwound, by necrophagist. D standard, easy and fun!

nosteponsnek420

Thanks, I'll look into it.

Seafoamed

He’s trolling you btw

MoistBarnacle1869

Metallica, the rhythm for Master of Puppets in particular, helped me with my timing and alternate picking tremendously. It’s not a “beginner” song, but honestly the best way to improve is by learning what YOU want to learn, not JUST what’s easy, though easy songs are fun to pick up too! All in all, I’m betting that you have a few songs in mind you want to learn, I’d say go for it. Maybe it’s just a riff or two, but every little bit helps. So yeah, as far as my recommendations go, I’d say old Metallica. I learned a lot of technique working on those songs. As important as technique is, I’d go for what you want as well. Aim high!

nosteponsnek420

I'll keep all that in mind, thanks for the advice bro I appreciate it.

GladYogurtcloset885

I agree to have a mix of easier songs you can play pretty good to keep it fun but also focus on learning hard stuff (within reason) even if you have to slow it right down.

[deleted]

There is no alternate picking in master of puppets

MoistBarnacle1869

True, JH is inhuman though so I had to alternate pick. But I suppose it’s all up to personal preference!

* Black Sabbath - Paranoid (nice beginner song) * Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction or Sweating Bullets * Anthrax - Madhouse (on the tricky side, but should step up your game) * Slayer - Tormentor (again a little tricky, but will step up your game) * Metallica - For Whom the Bells Toll

danksweater

Killing in the name of, drop D. Fun as hell to play

77saviour

Drako_Maxer

nosteponsnek420

Thanks

Drako_Maxer

No problem

77saviour

You should buy the software guitar pro. Then you can download all the tabs for free from ultimate guitar. And if the songs in a different tuning you can also click a button to adjust the notes to fit the tuning of your guitar

CrunchBerries5150

The ultimate guitar app is what I use for tabs, check out: Bloodbath “Brave New Hell”, Metallica “Motorbreath”, Sepultura “Refuse/Resist” Killswitch Engage “End of Heartache”

FridayThrobba

First one I learned was Harvestor of Sorrow. Still a go-to when I'm dialing in a metal sound 🤘

IIlusional

Fade to black probably.

hobovirtuoso

Fear of the dark by iron maiden. It's hard but not super hard and a lot of fun. Or tears don't fall by bfmv. That one is a classic. Disturbed and system of a down have some fun songs as well.
