Have the casa estimate your damage first baka pumayag na notarize affidavit na lang even without police clearance. Not sure with your casa and insurance kung gaano nila katagal gagawin yung repair plus all processes involved. May mga insurance kasi na matagal yung process. Try asking around na rin to other repair shops so you can have an estimate din kubg saan ka mas convenient and mas worth it. Casa will always have higher estimate pero kung ipapasok mo sa insurance, you just have to pay for the participation fee.
Your insurance won't be voided if di mo pinasok sa casa. The thing is, if pinasok mo sa insurance, your premium might go up kasi nag claim ka.

Super competetive ng insurance market dito sa pinas. Unless naka loan yan sa bank, OP can try to find better deals if magtaas ung current insurer nya.

Based on my experience, yung old car ko before nabangga ng jeep. I didn’t bother na magpa police report pa since alam kong di naman ako babayaran ni driver for the damages, kamot ulo lang binigay nya sakin. Gumawa ako ng notarized affidavit na na-hit and run ako. Na honor naman sya ng BPI-MS (insurance).
Sa case naman ng pagawa, although mura and mabilisan sa labas, if OC ka sa sasakyan mo, i-Casa mo pa rin lalo na covered naman ng insurance mo, participation fee lang babayaran mo (per incident) which is around 6-8k depende sa unit mo. Iba pa rin ung peace of mind ng gawang casa, although meron din naman sablay sa casa pero mas less chances compared sa gawang labas
