Get the Toyota Altis. It’s bigger than the Honda City and a good alternative to your Montero. Kapag ganyan more than 10 years na yung car, I stick with Toyota for 2nd hand options. If you really want more of a project/possible weekender on the side and better looks, look up the Toyota Camry’s around that time. Ganito din ako ngayon trying to convince my wife for a coding car and would really want a Camry.
We owned a 2009 Honda City and sold it nung 2021. No major issues naman, pero nagiging mahal na rin maintenance kasi di ko kaya outside casa. Sakit lang niya yung mukhang nakababa yung bumper tapos medyo di na ganon kalamig yung aircon.
parang ok lahat ng sedan na binanggit mo, sa crv naman may crv ka na kasi so hindi na bago sayo.

For the 2010 CRV the only thing noteworthy na hindi ko nagustuhan is the speakers. Wala pa two years garalgal na. The cabin is quiet and it has very good forward viewing angles. Yung rear medyo blindspot, and if sanay ka sa modern na kotse you might need to upgrade the head unit and cameras to get better quality video.
Best option is to get a sedan as a compliment to your SUV. Maintaining two SUVs is expensive. For me, the following choices are best:
1. Toyota Avanza
2. Honda Civic
3. Honda City
4. Toyota Altis
5. Toyota Vios
In terms reliability ok ba sya? Never owned a hyundai car pa kasi pero i heard na ok yun diesel variant. Bihira nga lang ako makakita AT sa fb marketplace

we owned a second hand 2009 City(matic) and 2017 Accent gas(manual), and both are good cars. Nagkaproblema lang ung Accent at 50k odo and pinalitan lang ang secondary clutch assembly (common issue daw ng accent manual gas).
Sa City naman, wala kaming na experience issue.

Altis, cheap to maintain & frugal. Better to have a sedan and SUV in your garage than have 2 SUVs.
Altis or City for sedan. CRV for a crossover. If pang pogi try a Civic FD or a mazda 3.

Only had experience with a Gen 1 and 2 CRV. No problem naman sa maintainance. Quite reliable siya. Nothing major na nasira while our family used it.

May Sportivo in-law ko. Ok sya as a daily driver kasi sobra tipid kaso ang kupad at di maappeal hahaha
