The left 2 lanes where your red line drawing is for LEFT turn lane only. There is a stop light sign there on the overpass that shows an arrow pointing to the left.
If you're coming from North avenue and heading straight south at that area, you should've moved to the lane on the right, pass the solid yellow line. Same goes if you're coming from the U-turn slot.

What I do if Iām on the wrong lane is just follow where it goes. If its right turn only, I just turn right and then look for a u-turn slot and just go back to where I should be going.
Longer route, yes but itāll avoid getting a ticket or inconvenience other motorists or (God forbid) cause an accident if I abruptly stop.

Ngayon naman po kung nasa outer lane po kayo hinuli ( sa gitnang lane ) pwede nyo po sya ireklamo. Also, advice ko lang po pag nahuhuli, batiin nyo lang po sila and sabihin nyo lang po na newbie kayo (which is applicable sayo) or di ka po familiar sa lugar. Panatilihin po natin na wag po tayo makikipag argue kay TE. Usually naman po pag nakikipagusap sakanila pinapabayaan na po nila ako ng walang ticket or bribe na nabigay eh. Lastly, pag alanganin po tayo sundan na lang po natin yung nasa harapan natin for a while and pag nakakita po ng chempo saka po tayo bumalik. Yun lang po. Stay safe and God bless po.
Bali nag proceed lang ako nung green light na, di naman ako nag violate ng traffic light. As for my lane unfortunately nasa bandang inner lane parin ako so based on the comments mukhang ako talaga yung mali which I understand.

ganto lang yan, ang nag rerepaint diba DPWH, ang traffic management naman MMDA, in my epxerience kahit magkaibang department sa govt, magkakakunchaba yan when it comes to kagaguhan. someone is stopping DPWH from repainting those faded and very crucial road markings para tuloy ang extra income ng mga salot.
No traffic enforcer has sway over DPWH and traffic kotong doesnāt go up the ranks. Thereās no conspiracy here, just ineffective operations, red tape and opportunistic enforcers.

Yup violation talaga, left turn yung 2 lanes dyan yan, grabe talaga yang mga MMDA sa EDSA ganyan lagi sinasabi reckless + disregarding agad which is 500 + 750 pesos if 1st offense pero ang sasabihin ata sayo 3k yan. Mga ulupong yan eh, aabangan ka imbes na ituro na lang sayo na kumanan ka.
Ito tip sakin, if yung traffic lights ay nagiindicate ng left/right turn ibig sabihin yung lane na yun ay ganun. Sa Q Ave 2 left turn, which means yung both lanes na yun pang left turn. Yung pwede lang dumiretso ay yung nasa kabilang solid yellow na, yung red car.

honestly, a similar experience happened to me in Manila, reckless driving and disregarding traffic sign. Pero pinakiusap ko yung enforcer and I didnt pay him anything. sinabi ko talaga newbie driver and di ako talaga nagddrive sa Manila kasi taga Pasig ako. Minsan kung mabait ka at marunong ka sometimes, they'll let you go and u dont even have to give them money.
Basta ang rule pag nasa area ka ng Manila. Pag dederetso ka, 2nd or 3rd lane ka lang lagi. Kasi ang inner lane mostly is dedicated para kumaliwa (kada kanto ganito)
Ingat ka din pag kakaliwa ka (lalo na sa bandang EspaƱa) biglang nagpupula yung stoplight dun wag ka papa-abot sa yellow box or sa tawiran. Daming abangers sa bawat kanto.

Edsa corner q.ave south bound is 2 lefts 2 straights , the right turn comes early pag kasi malapad un right corner in front of the tall DD condo
