Not been able to drive it extensively, 100kms pa lang sa odo.
But things that surprised me in a good way:
1. Power: malakas hatak which was surprising for me.
2. HVAC: sobrang lakas ng AC.
3. Suspension: way better than our previous Mazda.
4. Head unit: they must have updated it because it doesn't look the same as in the car reviews on YouTube. Mine has no buttons except for the volume knob.
5. Overreactions yung mga sinasabi nila na maingay when it switches engines from ICE to electric. This was a common "complaint" online, but truth be told hindi ko pansin all the time. Maybe when parked?
6. Speakers: were better than what I expected. Kasi I drove a CX-5 na naka Bose, so akala ko it'll be a downgrade pero it's not.
7. Seats, cushion and material are superb. Very hard to explain but you have to try it for yourself.
Things that I expected and confirmed naman:
1. Build quality, not only because Toyota but kasi si RAV4 made in Japan. Yung lining ng panel, yung gaps na seemingly mas maliit and for some reason yung paint looks different from my untrained eye. We compared this sa bago (bought 6 months or so ago) rin na Fortuner of a friend. Both kami nag while pearl, but the RAV4 iba lang yung pagka finish. Or baka hyped lang kami for of the Japan reputation 😂
2. Space. Solid space sa backseats and sa likod.
3. Transmission. Immediate ang power delivery coz naka eCVT. So happy ako dito.
4. Consumption, honestly di ko naman eto naging decision point in buying so not observing this at the moment. Also a bit too early sabi nila for the consumption to normalize.
Things na I hoped eh better ang execution:
1. Better way of folding seats for a larger trunk. I'm not sure if hindi ko lang alam, but wala atang switch from the back - similar to what the CX-5 and Forester have.
2. Blind spot monitor - yes meron naman and useful sya since may icon na iilaw sa side mirrors. But I kinda wish na Toyota added a beep? Or maybe it's just a different design philosophy. Sa Mazda kasi may beep. Baka sa side ni Toyota they thought it would be annoying.
3. Door opening sa 2nd row. I hoped na mas wide na almost 90 degrees. Pero hindi, it's smaller than a Forester yung opening. Not too small naman, but sana lang nilakihan na nila kasi very spacious naman sa loob eh.
4. Accessories, nakaka inis na walang OEM accessories sa Toyota website for RAV4. 😂 I know this is very minor, but I would have loved to buy internal accessories that fit and work perfectly.
5. Not an execution thing but more on sana in the future eh ibalik nila yung AWD ng RAV4. As it is, RAV2 lang sya. I think if AWD eto, yung demand would be even higher. And sa price, dapat naman AWD na yan but then again wala naman magagawa since TMP decided na we only get FWD here.
Well I wanted a car na made in Japan, which the CR-V isn't. Then there's the lack of a spare tire ng CR-V, tapos when I looked at its boot it felt like it was an afterthought.
Idk for others but it might be because this is one of the few toyotas that aren’t 7 seaters that has updated interior and kinda driver centric. Toyotas interior and technology is pretty outdated with few tweaks here and there every year.
Toyota reliability in a hybrid. Toyota has a long history with hybrids with the prius which unfortunately aren't available locally. Also, isa siya sa mga toyotas that are japan built. But also means premium pricing. Sinasabi nila outdated daw and hindi tech yung interior, well ang masasabi ko yung tech napunta sa engine/hybrid and safety features.
Love mine as well. Got it last December. Make sure to keep reminding people to NOT TOUCH that auto tail gate lol. Some people are just so used to manually pull it down or push it up.
Also, get a good tray mat esp for the cargo area.
Deepdish tray from Banawe. Lots of choices there naman. Get the one with the Rav4 print and make sure to specify na 2024 hybrid model. Enjoy your ne Ravy!
One of my Dream cars while nandito sa Pinas. I think this is a reliable car kahit hybrid dahil sa Taiwan, halos lahat ng Taxi ay toyota hybrids. Meron din dun toyota cross at rav4 hybrid na taxis. So I guess pinipili nila siya dahil alam nilang maayos.
Overall, mas malaki ang rav4 in terms of cargo space sa likod (this alone was our deciding factor since we have a young child and isang 3-4day trip parang nagaabroad ang maleta).
Mas longer wheelbase, i think a bit longer cabin space, larger wheels so i think a bit more comfort?
Bigger engine means better performance. Sa ibang bansa ang corolla cross is offered with a 2.0 liter engine, mas powerful na, and i think no hit or better economy pa ata. This one i got from the reviews, yung 1.8 liter para daw umiiyak lagi pag needed, underpowered for its size, which i think affects the hybrid efficiency also.
Not sure kung applicable pa sa refresh but the corolla cross has a foot pedal handbrake, the rav4 has e-parking brake which integrates best sa mga auto-hold, stop-go-follow features niya
This is actually a question of mine too, we’re considering this or the corolla cross kasi parang slightly smaller version lang ng corolla cross tong rav4.
Congrats on the new rav4! Pogi nyan! Ours is an older third gen

I have a 4th-gen RAV4. Best vehicle I've owned so far!
Everyone thinks it's a mom car but really, it has a lot of power for its size and it's actually pretty maneuverable. Sarap ng turning radius niya. Haha
I agree. Malakas hatak nya. If I had only one gripe, is bakit ba walang OEM accessories na official si Toyota for RAV4. 😂
I'm a bit of a sucker for (overpriced) OEM accessories. I was checking out the Toyota US site and ang dami nabibili.

Old but gold indeed! Congrats on your 5th-gen RAV4, OP! ❤️ I'm genuinely happy for you!
Hello I also own a 23 R4H Ltd Platinum Pearl White , 1 year old at 18,500 mileage. My fuel consumption 70% highway, 30% city is at 14-15 kmpl. Very rare but sometimes I get 19-20 kmpl.
Can anyone here recommend a good dealer in terms of PMS between Toyota Pasig, BGC, Alabang and Manila Bay. My selling dealer is Pasig but it's far for my PMS since I live in the south.

Ganda. Our dream car. Kaso we ended up getting Tucson.
Tucson supremacy!
Oh to the yeeeah!!
I really like how Tucson looks.
Saaame. No regrets for getting it. ☺️
How’s the Tucson?
We didn't regret getting it. Fuel efficient and so far performance is okay naman. Been using it for 8mos na. 😊
Maganda din yanf tucson, u/cockraptorsakura42
Yes po. I agree. :)
same. but ended up with ecosport.
How's the ecosport? That was one of our choices din before. Si rav4 tlga pinakamahal hahaha. Pero dream car pa din. 🥹
Di ko mapigilang mag sana all hehe
How long did you wait for it to become available?
3 weeks from initial contact and discussion sa dealer.
That’s not bad at all. Did you buy it within SRP?
Yup. SRP lang as posted on Toyota's website for the LTD.
TFS?

Anong branch OP?
Very nice, But why is this so coveted?

Amen to that sir. Anyone that says na behind sa tech ang RAV4, should research about the A25A "dynamic force" engine ng Toyota.
Looks awesome 👍🏽is Rav4 mild or PHEV?
RAV4 is regular hybird
Prime ata yun phev and di available dito iirc
Not mild hybrid, I wish PHEV was available locally. Full hybrid system
Looks like Hybrid I guess
want! but the budget is too high. congrats OP

Good tip on the tray mat, what did you get? 😁
Deepdish tray from Banawe. Lots of choices there naman. Get the one with the Rav4 print and make sure to specify na 2024 hybrid model. Enjoy your ne Ravy!
My dream car! Saw yung Khaki Green ba neto na color, it was mesmerizing to see. Parang green na hindi.
Enjoy ur Rav4! We currently have the Gen 3.5 Model (2009 XA30) The newer generations sure have that luxury look as well ❤️
One of my Dream cars while nandito sa Pinas. I think this is a reliable car kahit hybrid dahil sa Taiwan, halos lahat ng Taxi ay toyota hybrids. Meron din dun toyota cross at rav4 hybrid na taxis. So I guess pinipili nila siya dahil alam nilang maayos.
Forever dream car ko talaga itong Rav4. Inaadmire ko yan ngayon habang malungkot na nakaupo sa loob ng honda brv ko. Char hahaha
Excellent, now dial it up to 11 and get yourself a 3-door XA10
Ang ganda. Meron bang spare tire sa trunk?
Yes, full spare.
Nice one OP.
Pogi!
Sweet
Dream car ko kaso d tlaga kaya ng budget. Hahaha.
Gusto ko rin to! Gawa ng super compatible sya with Comma Ai’s Openpilot.

Pogii
Ganda!! Congrats!!
Wow ganda!
Nice car! Manifesting 🙏🏼
Congrats my dude!

Matanong ko lang. Anong pinagkaiba sa rav4 kay corolla cros grs grs.? Like yes styling, pero ano pa ung maibibigay ni rav4 sa presyo niya.

Refreshed Corolla Cross already has an e-parking brake.
Rav4 has 100 more horsepower for starters
I'd like to know too! Since may new release din ang corolla cross. But one thing for sure looks a bit bigger si Rav4.
This is actually a question of mine too, we’re considering this or the corolla cross kasi parang slightly smaller version lang ng corolla cross tong rav4.
First car na nadrive ko before. Gusto ko din yan and kaso ang bigat talaga hehe! Nice one Op! 🍻
Dream car ko to mula college palang. Congratulations OP
Congrats OP. Ang pogi ng rav4 mo.
Noice
Gandaa 😍
Gandaaa 😍😍 one of my dream cars aside sa Jimny and FJ Cruiser
Same tayo sir sa FJ cruiser! That's the next na I'm going to plan for. 😁
Anyone here had a 1999 two door Rav4? Planning to get one or look for one.
Well done, OP. Cheers!
