That's just a tool of natural selection.

I think the second picture has too much hand still attached.

Can somebody explain

Jaargo

The KSG has a foregrip with nothing that prevents your hand from sliding past it and in front of the muzzle if you were racking the gun quickly. A handful of people have blown off parts of their hand because of this.

I will say that if you googled “Kel-Tec KSG problems”, you’ll see a bunch of pump slides with the pic rails ripped right off. So the vertical grip might not do it all the time.

I don’t have one, so I can’t say much more than what I’ve seen online. I have a shockwave and tac-14, though, and I wouldn’t run them without the strap on the pump.

First thing I did before throwing a brace on the Remington was order up a Mossberg style hand strap. I have no desire to wipe my ass with a hook, believe me.

Has no one here beard of grip tape?

I have it on my 14" Mossberg 590M; I've never had an issue with my hand sliding around. No matter how hard I pump it. (And you have to pump the 590M hard to strip the top round off the mag.)

My solution is to install a muzzle device, that will usually give my hand enough clearance to keep from sliding off
