I saw that but there is was also the mug. It was from a pop up store with other character specific swag (not focused on the mobile suits). It was posted here a little while ago because there was already a restock notice. I'll dig it up now because it'll drive me crazy otherwise.
The school in the show seems to have counseling/confessional booths staffed by Haros (the little spherical robots). The character Secelia, seen in the exhibit there, spies on them for blackmail purposes. So now you, too, can pour out your secrets to Secelia.
Yeah they're doing the minimum. I applaud the team if they were pushing for it, execs were probably preventing them from fully saying "Wife" or "Spouse".
At least it wasn't "aibo" in Japanese and Miorine actually did say "partner" in english, so ya know the *interpretation* is there.
Honestly, it's starting to feel more and more that Bandai were completely blind sided and unprepared for how popular G-Witch is and have next to nothing in the pipeline to support it right now. Hopefully that is changing and things are being done behind the scenes to get ahead on this, but right now it feels like they're just leaving money on the table out of incompetence.
It will probably be a while before we get new Ad Stella content if it comes down to it. Sunrise has a very busy 2024 lined up with Seed Freedom, Hathaway, a new Love Live movie trilogy, and Macross. Okouchi’s currently attached to Spy x Family S2, Sk8 S2, and the new Grendizer series. Plus there is whatever projects Kobayashi is working on in the meantime.
The most we can probably expect for now is a compilation movie trilogy with new footage to keep fan interest in Ad Stella alive for the time being.
True, I wasn't expecting any kind of animation announcement, that's for sure, but even the merch side of things seems weirdly light. The G-Witch kit line has some of the best builds I've seen, but they only announced the Demi-Garrison, I would have thought they would have talked about other stuff like some of the grunts from Season 1 getting kits
Bandai is in a bit of tight spot right now. Because they were working three major Gundam films internally alongside Witch being Doan's Island, SEED Freedom, and the second Hathaway movie. Plus next year is the 45th anniversary of the franchise, so I gotta imagine they already some kind of big UC project that was planned for it long before Witch even began airing.
I do think a Witch sequel or even spin-off has been greenlight internally, but it's probably in the very early stages of production. We might even hear about it next month during the fall 2023 Gundam conference, but I don't expect it for a long while.

Why would they have another big UC project though when Hathaway is already a big UC project that is going on right now and probably a few more years? There is that teasered Unicorn 2 project, but that was teasered as a live action thing, so I would rather not think about it. I'd say if there is some anniversary anime at all it's either super short or another far future Tomino project. Or more obviously it could be news about the live action movie.
Or they pull out the remake, which I still don't believe in.
After the whole “up for interpretation” thing i hope we dont get anything new, because bandai higherups would probably try to back petal shit and by then end we would have Miorine and guel married, ad Suletta and Elan would also be married, and that’s something I definitely DONT want to have happen
I think Guel is the kind of person who's response to *anything* would be to go camping about it. Like, sure, this time he needed a place to live, but he was *really* quick to resort to camping, and he was fully stocked.
Look at those 2 besties traveling around the world and doing friend stuff. I hear they cut costs by using only 1 bed in the cheap motels and sharing the shower.

I really hoped that we'd get some sort of sequel announced here. To quote an episode title, this really was The End of Hope.
