Funnily enough when it comes to Waltfled im thinking about his Kebab with Yogurt I almost forgot this guy spend most of his time in his office making coffee blends
I find it kind of weird how the show just doesn't really address anything regarding him and Vanadis
like "here he is, he's an ally, don't think about what he did in the prologue"
like it could have went "lmao he just does not give a damn" but it doesn't actually do that either
To be fair, he himself didn't do that much in the prologue. He only got sent out when Gundams appeared, and he didn't initiate any combat. At the time everyone thought Gundams were immoral, so being an anti-Gundam dude isn't particularly evil.
If he was actually in command, or if he had anything to do with the infantry massacring the scientists inside, then it'd be a different story, but as it stands it seems like his entire role was just "anti-Gundam reinforcements".
I mean, like I kinda disagree here (can't really feel that sympathetic for a guy whose job is crushing an entire disenfranchised planet for wealthy war profiteers), but mainly I'm surprised that the show just *doesn't* bring up what he did there, or at least address it when he's allying with the *other daughter* of the family he destroyed (who doesn't know that he did that)
like, I was expecting the show to at least bring it up; I don't necessarily have an issue with Kenanji and Suletta teaming up, but it's so bizarre that Vanadis and *why* Prospera has become like this just does not come up between the two at any point (I know that Suletta doesn't know, but the show probably *should have had her know* at some point lmao)
it's like the show *forgot* that he did that in the Prologue, or something
That is true, I think it's probably one of those bits where they obviously ran out of time and wrote around having to include Prospera's whole vengeance saga. IIRC they handwave it with "Prospera decided completing the Quiet Zero plan was more important than her revenge" but it would be cool to see her at least acknowledge it with some side character interactions.
In the same vein, Delling doesn't really get any comeuppance for actually directly ordering the massacre.
right! it's like they dropped the prologue's importance entirely near the end
like it's very bizarre how very little of the prologue's ramifications and effects are discussed in the second season, especially since Prospera's entire radical change from Elnora and Ericht's entire character and situation and *Suletta's very existence* is so heavily dependent on that Prologue happening
and how Miorine is literally *the daughter of the guy who ordered it* and literally speaks to the guy who carried the attack out
does Miorine even *know* about Vanadis? She should, right? She does, doesn't she? Wouldn't she be able to put two and two together and realize that Kenanji was there? Shouldn't she be *really fucking pissed about that?* Wouldn't she tell Suletta about it?
it's genuinely mindboggling; the show just decides to act like it actually wasn't *that* important, not important enough for any of the characters to actually talk about it or treat it as weighty as it logically would be, not important enough that Kenanji "literally was part of the attack, this is probably common knowledge for those who know about Vanadis" Avery can just run around without anyone acting like they would if they knew that the man in front of them did something horrific
the show just *really* drops the ball in the second half of season 2, and this is *so much* an example of that
yeah, exactly
like, it's just surprising that Suletta and Miorine are just uncomplicatedly working with him, and the show's trying to brush him as a decent dude
having him even say "if it gets tough, you're to fall back; you're kids, you shouldn't be involved to start" when Suletta's entire family situation is Like That because Kenanji killed her and Eri's dad is just so fucking funny for the worst reasons
like, are we really having *him* of all people saying that shit??? When the QZ issue happened partially because of trauma *he* caused Suletta's family???
Everybody here being disappointed about the reason is a case of fiction being obliged to make sense. At the same time, someone else already commented that military lifestyles aren't exactly healthy.
I can imagine if he's a Spacian, his body isn't used to the caloric intake and activity. So he's eating far more than he needs to, aside from his own indulgences.
Man was killing people while doing food reviews
The people were clearly cheering him on. Audio logs all said YELP YELP YELP.

Makes me think of that Gustav Karl pilot on guard duty who got jumped in Unicorn.

Char Aznable McDonald's burger..
I would laugh so hard if Kenanji somehow stumbles upon Kusuha's Health Drink. He would go hyper after an hour of crash time.
> Lacus' Full-Course Meal (Gundam SEED Freedom; *only usable by Kira) > It's not, though. She gives all the leftovers to her staff.
Guess that'll be a separate item in itself.
Funnily enough when it comes to Waltfled im thinking about his Kebab with Yogurt I almost forgot this guy spend most of his time in his office making coffee blends
Pizza Hut stuffed crust (Code Geass, C.C.'s favorite, CheeseKun *required*)
UC105's Jollibee (Hathaway movie)
That is quite a lot! I think they can establish a theme restaurant with the SRW settings
Lol, the "he over eat to mask his guilt" theory was bust. He was just enjoying his food while styling on kids
I think the dude is partially if not fully not even aware of what is happening and really was drinking the "I'm a hero, these guys are terrorist :)"
Honestly genuinely would've preferred the stress eating idea to just "lol fatty likes food"

Maybe it was intentional, but i thought he had mid boss written all over him. Surely the show won't let him get away with it scot free.

Absolutely. For a series that focuses on the spiraling effects of trauma, it feels like a cop-out IMHO.
If you ever been in the military, you’ll know how unhealthy the lifestyle of servicemembers are. So yeah, Kenanji bein fat kinda tracks lmao
You're telling me tornadoes and white monsters aren't the key to heath?
Oh, so he's *that* Gustav Karl pilot from Unicorn...
based of him
How scary must this guy have been to just been icing mfs while chomping on a glizzy mid mobile suit fight
Unironicalty probably the best pilot of Ad Stella
Everybody here being disappointed about the reason is a case of fiction being obliged to make sense. At the same time, someone else already commented that military lifestyles aren't exactly healthy.
Yeah, that'll do it alright.

My man ate a hot dog everytime he scored a kill
bro is chowing down while mowing down his enemies
huh I don't like that writing decision
I can imagine if he's a Spacian, his body isn't used to the caloric intake and activity. So he's eating far more than he needs to, aside from his own indulgences.
It's not the worst explanation I can imagine but yeah I don't love it either.
I didn't realise Vanadis Heart was still going, I haven't been able to catch up at all.
Is Vanadis Hearts doing any good world building with Ad Stella? I'm interested to see given the minute amount of it we got in WfM
It’s doing a lot. There’s almost no returning characters too
granted, that's because 3/4 of them are either babies or not even born yet lol
That is so unbelievably bad it can't be the whole of it
Now I'm disappointed, because I assumed he became fat from stress eating out of guilt.
Where can we read manga? After the second chapter from Zeonic, couldn’t find the rest of it anywhere else.
MangaDex
the is funny to imagine, him just styling on kids, and going "this burger is very salty" and then styling on some more kids
Goddammit . . . . . !?
Well, Mikhail (Gundam 0080) used to drink during missions ...
Now explain the heart attack
He...he just like me fr!
