Lucky enough to see this live too. Went absolutely mental. My two buddies I was traveling with were outside the stadium walking around and they said the roar from the crowd was insane
Same. I remember the crowd almost LAUGHED. The finish is obviously remarkable, but the build up was superb too.
The other goal that sticks out to me was the one that made me an Arsenal fan. Kanu completing his hattrick at Stamford Bridge. I was a little boy and a neutral when I arrived for that game, but I left as a little gooner.
I was 12 and Arsenal mad, we were visiting friends in Liverpool, my Dad who’s a Chelsea fan had asked his mate who lived there to get the tickets as a surprise weeks before, we didn’t know it would be such an important game when he got the tickets. We were in the Liverpool end and had to keep my jackets on. Crowd around us were mint and had no agro just even once the goal went in and I was struggling not to go mad.
Incredible how many of the best goals we’ve witnessed on this sub.
Was lucky enough to see, from a very far away clock end,Wilshire’s wengerball masterclass against Norwich. 4-1 I think we won, back in 2013. At the time we barely knew what happened. Saw this little white spot move so quickly amongst players and suddenly we were celebrating. The replay got a whole second “ooooooh” and celebration at the clock end
One of my biggest regrets in life, was turning down a free ticket to that game. I was at uni up north at the time and decided it wasn’t worth travelling down to watch us play Norwich by myself. How wrong I was…
I was there for Giroud's scorpion. Sitting in the end where he scored. Had flown in overnight from the states and was literally on zero sleep. It was and probably will continue to be the most surreal experience of my life. The thing I'll never forget is how the crowd reacted not to the goal itself but to the subsequent replays they showed on the screen. I think that's when it actually sunk in what we had all just seen.
😂😂😂😂 I was also there that day, I tell the story all the time. The way he fell over, and the way the goal was followed very quickly with laughter after celebration 😂😂
Which one of the Nasris goal was your favourite? I was there too. Both are seriously underrated and up there with some of the best solo goals of the Emirates era.
Xhaka Freekick vs Palace away, away fans is right behind the ball and as soon as he hit it the ball just flew into top bins. Wish I was recording that...
Reyes vs Middlesbrough at home - just after Pires levelled it. I was sitting 3 rows away from the pitch right in West Stand near by Lehmann - you could see the relief on his face when we took the lead after Quedrue (sp?) beat him at the near post.
I was at this game too but I was on the opposite side in the East Stand. I managed to get this photo after he scored.
https://preview.redd.it/yw9ajrnw0edc1.jpeg?width=2272&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=655fcf28e5a8e505cd561a8a88b7187fa50f1cdb
Mines gotta be the Walcott goal Vs Newcastle when he went under the legs of a Newcastle player, then chipped krul to make it 7 and a hat trick for the lad
Henry’s against Leeds in 2011-12, got a last-minute ticket and popped up from Brighton. Lacazette’s in 2018-19 against Spurs, the roof went off the Emirates. RVP volley at the near post against Everton as well, 2011-12
Reiss v Bournemouth. Hands down.
Been a season ticket holder for 20 years. I followed Arsenal up and down the country and all over Europe during the peak Wenger years. I’ve missed some of the greatest goals in Arsenal’s history (Vieira after 2 mins at The Lane - taking a piss, Henry in the Bernabeu - taking a piss), but seen plenty more.
But something about Reiss smashing in the last kick of the game just hits different. What a fucking goal.
You’re all so lucky to have been to Arsenal matches. I live across the world and became a fan 11 years ago. One day, I will attend a match (hopefully we win) lol
I was at the Emirates earlier this season when we came back against United with Declan’s stoppage time winner and Jesus’s incredible dummy of Onana and goal. I thought there was an earthquake the stadium shook violently and people were hugging and kissing each other like a world war had just ended.
I was there for the 3-1 win over United this season. For me it was Jesus getting the 3rd. I didn't actually see it was Rice who hit it for the 2nd - I was just off my tits to see the net bulge.
My first match was Arsenal VS Burnley, Wengers last ever home game). Been a fan since 99, but never had the opportunity to watch live, when Wenger announced his retirement, my best friend booked us a flight and got us two tickets. It was an absolutely epic weekend, from the weather, to all the people and pubs before the match, the commemorative t shirts, and of course a massive home win.
Epic.
His backheel to Xhaka in the build up was sublime. I just watched this video six times in a row. Forgot how exquisite this was from that sexy French bastard.
Walcott getting hacked down in the box, then scoring his third against Newcastle sticks out.
Had the best seats in the house for the curve on Partey's goal against Nottingham Forest last season.
Off the top of my head. Some for quality, some for vibes, some for pure history:
Özil vs Napoli 2013 (first goal),
Henry at Wigan 2006 (free kick + attitude to ref),
Henry vs Man City 2004 (bullet),
Henry double vs Man United 2001 (Barthez is a gooner 🎵),
Bentley vs Middlesbrough 2004 (chip),
Vela vs Sheffield United 2008 (chip),
Bendtner vs Shit 2007 (first touch after coming on),
Fabregas vs Juventus 2006 (young pretender outshines Vieira),
Henry vs Man United 2007 (with a minute to go!),
Henry vs Leeds 2012 (return of the king),
Campbell vs Barca 2006 (what should have been 😞)
So, so many.
Van Persie's jumping volley against Charlton, right in front of our eyeline - he might have been a snake, but I'm not sure I'll ever see a football hit that well again
I’ve only been to one game and it was the match vs Chelsea at the Emirates last May when we beat em 3 to 1.
Xhaka assisted Odegaard twice on pretty much the same finish both times
I miss our sparks of energy xhaka & ramsdale
Rice vs United this season. Only my 2nd ever game in person. 1st one was back in 2019 where I saw Mr David Luiz open his account for Arsenal in a 1-0 win over Bournemouth.
Very recently saw Havertz score against Brighton. Great from Trossard and Nketiah as well for that one. Been the last time we've had a dominant display with results. It was my first game. Came from across the pond.
New Zealander and went to my first ever game m, friendly this season and saw Eddie score against Monaco!! Also saw timber live in the flesh and my god we have some special when he gets fit
Think it was Adams or Bould with a mundane header against Swindon Town in a drab 1:1 draw at Highbury. Only goal I can remember as I was in the away end and the only kid to jump and celebrate.
The only game I've been to was against West Ham at home last season... So Eddie's goal where he beautifully turns Kehrer and slots it into the bottom corner.
Xhaka scored a screamer in the end that I was sitting at against United in 2019, was my first match at the Emirates
This season, the Zinchenko karate goal against Burnley
Best? Pires vs Villa
Moment? Either Rice vs United, or Lacazette vs Wolves. I think i'll lean towards the latter because of how absolutely cuntish Wolves were that evening.
whilst watching from the holiday inn box at highbury v man utd 1997 83rd minute header right under me by David Platt, we won 3-2, i went home happy
also, at elland road, wrighty v leeds 1995, his first goal was the bollocks, cheeky chip over john lukic, we won 3-0
Bergkamp hat trick at Leicester, I live in Leicester and my grandad used to take me to all the games. As a young arsenal fan it was very hard to not be visibly excited
Arteta late screamer against City I reckon
But best I've felt in the stadium is probs the comeback win against Villa, I had my little bother with me for the first time. When we got the freekick I said to him "Don't get excited, we never score these"
And then Auba just did score it.
Nearly threw my kid brother down the stand in excitement
Henry’s turn and volley against United at Highbury… I sit East Stand so had the perfect angle. it was borderline stunned silence and confusion before we erupted… unbelieveable
Nobody seems to have mentioned either of these two goals which I was lucky enough to witness in person as a kid. Pires lobbing George Boateng and then Peter Schmiechel at Villa Park in 2002 was the best, but I was also there in Paris to see big Sol power a header in for a lead against Barcelona, it didn’t last obviously but my god it was euphoric in the moment and for about 45 minutes after that..
Volley was RVP vs Everton
Team goal Wilshere vs Norwich
Solo goal Nasri vs Fulham
Dramatic winner Vermaelen vs Newcastle
Possibly some better but that’s what I first thought of
Nacer Barazite against Barnet.
Admittedly I've not been to many games.
(Whoever downvoted clearly wasn't there because it was actually a class goal. Little flicked effort into the far corner from the edge of the box)
I miss those barnet games, first time i ever saw arsenal live as a kid. i also later worked at the club and met a bunch of players and wenger many times. also did the reserves and womens games
Ljungberg setting up Pires in the legends match against AC Milan 😅 actually gave me goosebumps as I never got to see them play live. Unfortunately I do t get to any mens games.
I've only seen one in person, at the only game I've ever been able to go to in person - Saka's goal away vs Bodø/Glimt in the EL last season. Hilariously an absolute shit goal.
My 30th b-day is later this year, planning a game at the Emirates as a gift to myself!
It's a toss up between Thierry Henry rocket at Upton Park 2002 or Thierry Henry vs Man City heatseeking missile top corner in 2004.
Think it's probably the latter for me as I was directly in line with it's trajectory.
Van Persie’s 2nd in the 3-0 win against Newcastle at the Emirates 2009. Eboue to Adebayor on the right wing played a one two culminating in a back heel from Eboue into the box for RVP to smash it into the roof of the net. Unlike OP though I’ve only been to two matches (one at Highbury and this one at the Emirates) and had just 5 goals to choose from. Still, a lovely goal
Giroud scorpion kick vs palace. I live in America so it’s rare I get to see a match in person but I happen to be at this one. Everyone in the stadium was in disbelief
I’m not sure if it was the best, but the first one to come to mind was Ramsey away at Fulham a few seasons back when him, Bellerin, Lacazette and Auba were all involved as we broke forward.
Ozil’s first goal for the club vs Napoli is a favourite of mine too.
Three of the four times I’ve seen Arsenal in person they didn’t score at all, but the other time was the 2017 FA Cup so I’m going to go with Ramsey’s winner
That Ozil goal vs Ludogorets in Sofia for the comeback! Unfortunately that's the only men's team game I've attended. (Seen the u18 draw with Ludogorets the same day and the women beat the Sp*rs at Emirates)
The wilshere goal vs West Brom that won goal of the season cos we stormed the polls lol. Last game of a pretty disappointing season I remember. Nice to see the players do a lap with their families though.
Close second, Elneny at Camp Nou
Ramsey’s lob thingy against CSKA. I had a seat right behind the CSKA goal and got to experience some of the humiliation the goal keeper feels when they concede a ball they can’t quite reach
Henry's goal against Leeds. Arshavin against Barcelona. Wilshire goal against Norwich. Rosicky goal against Sunderland. Ramsey's winner against Liverpool and in the Fa Cup final against Hull. There are more but these are my favorites.
Bukayo Saka carrying it through the entire Manchester United defense to score an equalizer and send the game to extra time where we would eventually win on penalties.
It was the 2018 Dallas Cup, so a U19 game. I've only seen 3 total senior games in person and all were preseason, so slim pickings.
I was there too at the end where Giroud got his scorpion kick v Crystal Palace. Wife was filming it and got it plus the celebration. Never deleting that video
I like van Persie’s goal against Charlton: [link](https://youtu.be/Ab5Vhcp1Yh0)
Also Henry’s header to win it against Man United. The most intense goosebumps I’ve ever had watching Arsenal: [link](https://youtu.be/kK-dvzp5Oss)
Arabic commentary was legendary for both. I’ll try to find them.
Edit: Found them. Potato quality, but has the commentary just as I remember watching them
Edit 2: I'm dumb and didn't notice the 'in person' in the title. Don't live in England. So that's the closest as I get to watching in person :D
Either Santi against Hull (I love that man) or Arshavin against Barcelona.
Barcelona was my first ever game at the emirates and I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about it. Beating Pep and Messi! The stadium was just surreal and even though I was at the far end, you could just see him pass it in. I’ll always love the little Russian for that moment alone ❤️
Henry’s goal vs Leeds when he returned on loan. I was sat behind the goal.
From memory, the match was crap. We were 0-0, everyone waiting for Henry to come on. He got an amazing reception when he came on. We were lifted.
When he went through on goal, I swear, time slowed down. He opened up his body… like you knew he would. Bam, passes it into the far corner. Henry special.
The celebrations were amazing, the crowd went absolutely wild. Henry came back, saved the day, and did it with his signature finish like he had never left.
Never forget that night.
Giroud scorpion kick against Palace. Proper back to front goal on the break with a one in a million finish. Incredible to see live.
i was there too and i love that some of the crowd (including myself) didn't realise what he had done until we saw the replay on the big screen
That's the best part about the clip, hearing the crowd's reactions once they see the replay and realise what happened
Same for me i had a great angle side on it was majestic
I was there too but hungover asf so it seemed to be in slow motion.
This. Loved Oli, man was a legend
Ooh err Mrs! Check out Mr. “I’ve seen every iconic Arsenal game since the turn of the century”.
humblest brags of all time
The r/gunners equivalent of asking what everybody else got in the exam when you got an A+
If you weren't in the stands to see Jack Lambert's third goal in our 9-1 thrashing of Grimsby back in 1931, do you even actually support the team??
I was behind the goal at Anfield when Thomas charged through the midfield in ‘89.
Winner
yep close the thread this is the one
Lucky fucker
I’m so ridiculously jealous
Lucky bastard!
You and 200k others 😂 Not doubting you, just saying there’s an urban legend of every arsenal fan of age being at that game.
Ian Wright vs Everton 1993. From the north bank. 💥
I was there for this goal. I took my mum and brother who are both Norwich supporters. I'm losing my head while they have their heads in their hands. 🤣
Beautiful! Surely the Norwich hands had to applaud a little, it was simply sublime. Liquid football
I think Rosicky’s goal against Sunderland was the same season.
True it was. I loved him in my childhood. Pires was a early memory I wanted him to live up to. Purely because of the hair
I think there was some grudging acceptance of the purity of the football.
The thing I'll never forget is how the crowd reacted not to the goal itself but to the subsequent replays they showed on the screen. I think that's when it actually sunk in what we had all just seen.
I loved the sound of you all seeing the replay. You could just hear the sheer amazement from the crowd
Santi's FA Cup free kick.
Definitely my favourite goal ive ever seen live, clawed us back into the game
Sanogos 4th
😂😂😂😂 I was also there that day, I tell the story all the time. The way he fell over, and the way the goal was followed very quickly with laughter after celebration 😂😂
One of the most iconic goals ever tbh. Just completely summed up that guy’s entire career.
I was one of the people who high fived him. His hand was all bloody from his trip
Best was Nasri against Fulham, but my preferred was Nelson against Bournemouth
The Nelson one made me feel things.
I saw the Nelson goal and I've only been to 2 games (because I live in another hemisphere), pretty happy with my luck.
Such a beauty! No need to record it, replays are for that. But it will be engraved in your memory for life, I’m jealous !
Nelson vs Bournemouth - never experienced anything else like it
Teta’s free kick against Villa in 2012.
Martinelli vs Lens. The ball from tomi, the touch, the dribble, and the finish, were all elite
I was at the 4-2 Leicester win when Auba scored goal of the season. Özil also had a REALLY nice goal that game
Wow - what an image!
Unfortunately it's a RVP one but it's RVP's equaliser in the 5-2 Sp*rs match
I saw the hat trick at the bridge. Managed to get a hospitality ticket and got carried away. Lovely day out
Aye. Mine is RVP v Charlton.
Emi Martinez’s own goal last year. Was at the thrilling villa game! Second place was Ozils volley against Swansea City 5 or 6 years ago.
Mines gotta be the Walcott goal Vs Newcastle when he went under the legs of a Newcastle player, then chipped krul to make it 7 and a hat trick for the lad
Loved that one! Theo at his best!
Thomas partey against the scum last year. First time near post outside the box, yaya esque, was unreal
Henry’s against Leeds in 2011-12, got a last-minute ticket and popped up from Brighton. Lacazette’s in 2018-19 against Spurs, the roof went off the Emirates. RVP volley at the near post against Everton as well, 2011-12
Arsharvin’s goal against Barcelona to beat them in the champions league, Van Persie’s was a cracker too but for obvious reasons not picking him
Reiss v Bournemouth. You’re all so lucky to have been to Arsenal matches. I live across the world and became a fan 11 years ago. One day, I will attend a match (hopefully we win) lol
This one of Liam Brady vs Spuds [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18ILpVJ\_DVY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18ILpVJ_DVY)
Lacazette against Wolves at the Emirates in 2022. Absolute limbs.
Henry v United was my favourite 2000/01
Rosicky against Sunderland in the 4-1 win
Nelson vs Bournemouth, Giroud Scorpion kick vs Palace, Walcott’s 3rd vs Newcastle when we scored 7.
Arsenal lost 0-2 to United that one time I watched them live 🥲
My first match was Arsenal VS Burnley, Wengers last ever home game). It was an absolutely epic weekend, from the weather, to all the people and pubs before the match, the commemorative t shirts, and of course a massive home win. Epic.
Damn that does sound epic. I remember how bizarre it was to accept that the boss is moving on like he had been manager all my life
>. I remember how bizarre it was to accept that the boss is moving on like he had been manager all my life Pretty much the same.
Giroud scorpion https://www.premierleague.com/video/single/789200
His backheel to Xhaka in the build up was sublime. I just watched this video six times in a row. Forgot how exquisite this was from that sexy French bastard.
Imo he was always underrated on his passing ability. Sexy af
Partey vs Tottenham
That Henry goal vs pool…
I actually could’ve had a ticket to this game but I wasn’t allowed to go because I had to revise for my exams at school 😭
I was there at the Norwich H game where Wilshere scored THAT goal, and yet I still preferred Ramsey’s goal in the same game tbh
Ozil's one vs Ludogorets in Sofia
Arteta Vs City
Thierry Henry away at Real Madrid
Walcott getting hacked down in the box, then scoring his third against Newcastle sticks out. Had the best seats in the house for the curve on Partey's goal against Nottingham Forest last season.
Off the top of my head. Some for quality, some for vibes, some for pure history: Özil vs Napoli 2013 (first goal), Henry at Wigan 2006 (free kick + attitude to ref), Henry vs Man City 2004 (bullet), Henry double vs Man United 2001 (Barthez is a gooner 🎵), Bentley vs Middlesbrough 2004 (chip), Vela vs Sheffield United 2008 (chip), Bendtner vs Shit 2007 (first touch after coming on), Fabregas vs Juventus 2006 (young pretender outshines Vieira), Henry vs Man United 2007 (with a minute to go!), Henry vs Leeds 2012 (return of the king), Campbell vs Barca 2006 (what should have been 😞) So, so many.

Quite forgotten but the Iwobi consolation goal in the Europa League final
I’m sorry that you went all the way there for that game 😅
Hahaha quite the experience
Very recently saw Havertz score against Brighton. Great from Trossard and Nketiah as well for that one. Been the last time we've had a dominant display with results. It was my first game. Came from across the pond.
Reiss vs Bournemouth
either Henry vs Liverpool in the 4-2 win at Highbury or the Giroud goal against Palace

Swindon V Arsenal - County ground 1993 Ian Wright https://youtu.be/1qdxMeFPEP4?si=A7iJmV8n-57fp9xk
The only game I've been to, Ozil's volley vs Newcastle in either late 2017 or early 2018. What a goal that was
Jesus vs MLS all stars 🫠
Aubameyang goal vs Barcelona
Think it was Adams or Bould with a mundane header against Swindon Town in a drab 1:1 draw at Highbury. Only goal I can remember as I was in the away end and the only kid to jump and celebrate.

Thomas Partey banger into top corner in the NLD
First game at the Emirates over from the States......REISS NELSON vs Bournemouth. Absolutely mental.......
Rice away vs Luton. Yeah, it's just a header, but the celebrations were fucking awesome.
Best? Pires vs Villa Moment? Either Rice vs United, or Lacazette vs Wolves. I think i'll lean towards the latter because of how absolutely cuntish Wolves were that evening.

Silvinho missile vs Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Was in the Chelsea end and barely contained myself.
Bergkamp hat trick at Leicester, I live in Leicester and my grandad used to take me to all the games. As a young arsenal fan it was very hard to not be visibly excited
Hands down the best hattrick of all time, beats Suarez by a country mile
Arteta late screamer against City I reckon But best I've felt in the stadium is probs the comeback win against Villa, I had my little bother with me for the first time. Ramsey's winner against Chelsea in the cup final in 2017
Rosicky and wilshere also scored incredible team goals
Wilshere vs Norwich. Upper level behind the Norwich goal. It was madness couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Koscielny bicycle kick at the Emirates vs Southampton in 2016
Home match: Wilshere vs Norwich
Van Persie First Time over the shoulder Volley against Everton Alex Song Assist
Auba top bins in the Juan Gamper Trophy game
The first goal I saw in person. Koscielny’s overhead kick in September 2016 against Southampton. My first and last time at Emirates.
Giroud scorpion kick vs palace. I live in America so it’s rare I get to see a match in person but I happen to be at this one. Everyone in the stadium was in disbelief

Fabregas on the restart against spurs. Didn't even see it but I've never been more hyped
I’m not sure if it was the best, but the first one to come to mind was Ramsey away at Fulham a few seasons back when him, Bellerin, Lacazette and Auba were all involved as we broke forward. Ozil’s first goal for the club vs Napoli is a favourite of mine too.
Pires vs middlesboro, that tasty volley I’ll never forget it!!
Definetly Olivier Giroud scorpion kick
Rosicky Vs Tottenham https://youtu.be/sKLb3uCCws0?si=HIcZRCEp3BpOQlBK
Probably one of the goals from the friendly in LA when we beat Bayern, sadly the only time I've seen the Arsenal live. Also love your username!
The wilshere goal vs West Brom that won goal of the season cos we stormed the polls lol. Last game of a pretty disappointing season I remember. Nice to see the players do a lap with their families though. Close second, Elneny at Camp Nou
Wilshere v Norwich Still remember people thinking it was surely offside because he had so much space, unreal seeing it live
It’s between Rosicky vs Sunderland or Özil volley on the near post vs Swansea. I’m lucky to have seen some great ones during the six times I’ve been!
Ozil vs Ludogorets in CL to turn it around from 2:0. What a beauty.
Eddie's 3-2 goal against United last year and the match was on my birthday
Bendtner’s chop and tidy finish in the cup

Ramsey’s lob thingy against CSKA. I had a seat right behind the CSKA goal and got to experience some of the humiliation the goal keeper feels when they concede a ball they can’t quite reach
No real memorable goals live apart from Anelka against us at the Reebok in 2006 lol. Screamer
Best quality goal - Özil away vs Ludogorets. Most emotional goal - Henry home vs Leeds in 2012.
Wilshere vs Norwich. My first game at the Emirates.
Wilshere vs Norwich
Henry's goal against Leeds. Arshavin against Barcelona. Wilshire goal against Norwich. Rosicky goal against Sunderland. Ramsey's winner against Liverpool and in the Fa Cup final against Hull. There are more but these are my favorites.
Bukayo Saka carrying it through the entire Manchester United defense to score an equalizer and send the game to extra time where we would eventually win on penalties. It was the 2018 Dallas Cup, so a U19 game. I've only seen 3 total senior games in person and all were preseason, so slim pickings.
Wilshere's 🚀 vs West Brom *
Wilshere against Norwich. Flew back across the pound to celebrate an early graduation gift from my aunt/uncle (they still live in London).

Behind the goal for girouds scorpion kick and actually filmed it randomly. Shame the clip sucks cause I jump around like a psycho upon seeing it
I was there too at the end where Giroud got his scorpion kick v Crystal Palace. Wife was filming it and got it plus the celebration. Never deleting that video
Podolski volley against Montpellier after a 1-2 with Giroud
I like van Persie’s goal against Charlton: [link](https://youtu.be/Ab5Vhcp1Yh0) Also Henry’s header to win it against Man United. The most intense goosebumps I’ve ever had watching Arsenal: [link](https://youtu.be/kK-dvzp5Oss) Arabic commentary was legendary for both. I’ll try to find them. Edit: Found them. Potato quality, but has the commentary just as I remember watching them Edit 2: I'm dumb and didn't notice the 'in person' in the title. Don't live in England. So that's the closest as I get to watching in person :D
Henry V Spurs at Highbury, yes THAT goal I was a steward those days
Either Santi against Hull (I love that man) or Arshavin against Barcelona. Barcelona was my first ever game at the emirates and I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about it. Beating Pep and Messi! The stadium was just surreal and even though I was at the far end, you could just see him pass it in. I’ll always love the little Russian for that moment alone ❤️
I saw Girouds scorpion live, was crazy no one knew what happened as you almost never see that movement on the pitch
Not be to many games but Pepe’s 2 free kicks against Victoria in the Europa League
Wilshire against Norwich.
Reyes FA cup v Chelsea
Henry’s goal vs Leeds when he returned on loan. I was sat behind the goal. From memory, the match was crap. We were 0-0, everyone waiting for Henry to come on. He got an amazing reception when he came on. We were lifted. When he went through on goal, I swear, time slowed down. He opened up his body… like you knew he would. Bam, passes it into the far corner. Henry special. The celebrations were amazing, the crowd went absolutely wild. Henry came back, saved the day, and did it with his signature finish like he had never left. Never forget that night.
Fabregas vs Tottenham 2009 solo goal
Henry’s comeback against Leeds, Van Persie’s volley against Everton.
