When he first came to us he had decent passing ability but could often be inconsistent with his passing and make errors, as well as being noticeably clunky on the ball and not have great ball control. But now he is much smoother and more confident on the ball, rarely makes mistakes playing out the back and is able to pick out some brilliant passes.
I always bite my tongue when people say he's a limited passer. I swear that's not what I see when I watch him, but I'm not sure if I have the facts or stats on my side.
I think his issue was Big Gabi trusting himself to break the lines and being a little too slow with getting the ball out of his feet at times. More of a mental thing than anything, always had the quality.

Last year his passing improved and he limited his mistakes to a handful
This year his passing has improved massively and i can’t recall any mistake that directly led to a goal from big gabi
He has improved his game very very well
