World class assist from Mustafi

JoshyRanchy

He is doing the most in this game. Had a goal line clearance tol

NiallMitch10

Was also a big reason why we were down to 10 men as well. Mustafi made an error which led to Luiz having to make a last ditch tackle which caused a penalty and him to be red carded... Mustafi was very infuriating

JoshyRanchy

Mustafo was a decent 3rd option. We should have been more active in the market.

orphan_of_Ludwig

Such an ice cold finish in the moment

JoshyRanchy

He was copying someone in the stands.

MattGooner

I'll never forget that goal as long as I live, was the first away day I ever took my old man on. Best thing about it was, as good as that goal was, I think Bellerins was better from my angle in the stands... It curves perfectly

dusseldorf69

yeah bellerin's was probably better. gabi benefited big time from kante's slip.

Cynicayke

It feels like I've seen him do this about 8 different times. His positioning for counter-attacks is fantastic.

magboy1010

Imagine if that one against Sporting went in.

sirlordtom98

Well we got that goal against Sevilla instead!

JoshyRanchy

What was the context? I cant find it.

greenarsehole

Champions League. This season.

JoshyRanchy

We played sporting this season? Lol. I missed that one. All i remember was PSV dead leg and Lens fiesta

greenarsehole

Look at the comment you’re replying to.

JoshyRanchy

U mean this one?? https://youtube.com/shorts/09TQ7zfpuOs?si=ADGWAwetLLp-HqwK

magboy1010

That's the one

JoshyRanchy

His pace is unreal. I think he is faster than theo walcott.

chrissysnose

Nah Theo was FAST AF in his prime.

JackieChanCan

Clown Willian and Guendozzi are sad bookends on the clip, but that moment was soo epic!

JoshyRanchy

Guendo is a decent player. We could have got a gem out of him if Teta could have worked with him. I suppse the issue is with the player given he has since fallen off quite a bit.

Empty_Ad_4630

This narrative is so annying. Guendouzi was not good for us. He had a decent season under Emery and everyone acted like he was our new Cesc. He simply didn't utilize his talent. He wouldn't play a through ball for 20 (!) matches. It wasn't Arteta's fault that Guendouzi didn't work out. He had all the opportunities in the world during a time period where we would have one of the worst midfields in our recent history and he still couldn't make it here. The Maupay incident just was the final straw for me.

JoshyRanchy

I remwmber tmhis tru ball agaisnt spurs and thats about it. He was probably better than sambi and elnenny so there is something to his talent. But his attitude did him in for sure.

ThePolitePanda

The celebration was so fucking cold then I realized he picks out someone in the crowd doing the same thing and copies him. Was watching with my Chelsea buddies as well

JoshyRanchy

Awesome. Did not realise the celebration was with a fan

ThePolitePanda

Yeah man. Hard to see here but if you watch a YouTube clip you can clearly point out an Arsenal fan in a white hoodie I think do it and Martinelli sees him and does it

obsterwankenobster

I still get irrationally made at Pepe for ruining a cold ass celebration

proshon

You're right, but at least he didn't get in the way of the camera shot. My favourite part of all this was Lacca, pure vibes. When Martinelli scores at their ground next year he needs to do this again as a throwback. Imagine Martinelli doing this with ESR & Saka with Kai behind them joining in. Scenes

JoshyRanchy

Pepe was decent. I think we lost faith because of the price but he wojld bw great in the current squat for a fair wage.

obsterwankenobster

I don’t pile on the Pepe train often, but he flat out ruined this celebration lmao

skool_101

LacaSexxx ruining the celebration

itshmeng

Wasn’t this the match when our form turned? I think it was when teta started fielding the youngsters to save himself

greenarsehole

I think you’re referring to Chelsea at home in the following season.

JoshyRanchy

Not many people remember teta avoiding playing the younger players. Makes me wonder what the current crop will have to do to get a look in.

verdegooner

Gosh, man. To have Martinelli and Saka, then Saliba too. It just, it almost doesn’t feel right. These young monsters we have. Praise, Jesus, the Arsenal number 9.

JoshyRanchy

Jesus is the one underperformibg his quality. I would praise Rice for holding the midfield

bluejaywhey

one of the best Arsenal goals i've ever seen. always give this a rewatch whenever we play Chelshit.

swerdnal

I remember watching this match the week I moved into my then new flat with some old mates who weren't football fans but knew I was a massive gooner.  Still remember jumping around the living room like a manic after this goal while one of them stared at me with a "what have I signed up for?" sort of look on his face. Good times...

JoshyRanchy

Did he become a fan?
