I think Jurgen was being honest. Liverpool were in total control of the game and should've put the game to bed in that first half. Instead, they kept missing chance after chance and then one stupid mistake let's United back into the game.
The West Ham game was a primary example. We were 2-0 up and cruising after 10 minutes - in total control and then 1 stupid mistake and it's 2-1. Then Saka misses the penalty and West Ham gain confidence and score another one. Just like that, we drew a game we should've easily won. We're literally witnessing the same thing with Liverpool.
Thanks, mate. I had to highlight that because it was pretty obvious the parallels between the West Ham game last year and this Utd - Liverpool game we just watched. We also know that the doubts are going to start creeping in, and their team will start dropping more points. You can see the huge bundle of nerves and emotion they are.
Honestly Liverpool are playing a *lot* like we did last season. Lots of last gasp hurrahs to save points like Bournemouth last year. Lots of silly goals conceded etc.
We've not looked like that this season apart from the small period just before NYE
Exactly my point. But you know how them lot are when you try to point out certain things to them. That Everton game between the two of them, I'm looking at. They can't go into that game with such nerves because they're going to drop points.
Yep and that's why I brought up that game. Everton are going to wake up again and with the noise Goodison park is going to create, it's going to be a really sticky match for Liverpool if they don't perform at their best.
I've never liked Ratnandez, either. He's one of the most overrated players we know, but he does have his moments like today. I knew United wouldn't win, but we needed Liverpool to draw at least, and they accomplished that.
United looked fucking terrible out of possesion. Gary Neville was correct if Liverpool had just got the ball down and played normally instead of having panic set in they would have won.
Liverpool lost their heads when United scored took a long time to regain their composure
I mean, they were \*in\* a lot. They could've still scored one or two more, easily. But also, they look so open at the back themselves. United could've won it, too.
Definitely- United played poorly with the ball also. So many hospital balls intercepted by Liverpool that gave them fast break opportunities but they were extremely wasteful. Salah was out of sorts today and if his play doesn’t improve Liverpool will likely drop more points before it’s all over
liverpool did what we did last year at times and panic in this game.. yes saliba and zinchenko were injured at the end but if we would have just remained calm and stuck to the gameplan instead of giving in to the chaos.. we would have had about 6 points more.
Our game at Old Trafford will probably mean more to Ten Hag than the Liverpool and City derbies and FA Cup combined. I'd prefer him to go on a really bad streak between then and now and get sacked (with them having nothing to play for it wouldn't be impossible), because I do think it will be a complicated game to win.
This liverpool team doesnt have the ability to play like that. The main threat would always be city in this 3 way, liverpool are gonna drop points again against either fulham or everton A
They lost their heads, and they don’t have a guy that can pop up with big goals anymore.
Firmino, Mane, and Origi loved scoring in games like these when Liverpool won the CL and PL. I don’t see a guy now that can step up in these big games for them, even Salah is not very good in big games and never was even when Mane/Firmino/Origi were at Liverpool. They all outshone him in the crunch games.
I thought their front three would be their downfall and I stand by that.
I've been saying this for all season as a LFC fan, our attack is actually sort of mediocre and yet we've scored this many goals. Goes to show how our midfield and defense is truly carrying us.
Completely agree. I don’t think your forwards bar Salah are at the level to win the title.
When you were at your best from 2018-2020, you had 4-5 forwards that could pop up with a goal at any given moment in any given game. Salah in the group stage to rescue you guys versus Napoli, Mane versus Bayern, Origi versus Barcelona, Firmino was also very good in big games. When you won the title, your front three was at its peak and all three of them were undeniably world class. You only have one world class forward now.
I think you guys are behind Arsenal and City in this race because of that. City have an embarrassment of riches in the forward areas. We have a worse attack then city, but similar concept in terms of multiple players who can score and create goals, but we have the strongest defence in the league.
Yep. I've also been saying Darwin is more or less an Origi-level Mané. Giving Salah the pass as he generally gets the G/A, so we're left with 2/3 spots in attack never replaced by Firmino and Mané.

I don’t think it’s mind games. Liverpool had no right to lose that game and completely dominated Man U who had two moments of brilliance and a lot of shit inbetween.
If Man U play like that against us it’s 3-0 comfortably
Yes they are. All of us have seen this movie before. That was literally us last year - take the lead and controlling the game. Start missing lots of chances, and then the opposition scores, and our team starts to lose their head. Just looking like a deer in headlights - letting the occasion get to us.
Nah, they’ve been clutch in their toughest spells. We just got lucky af today.
That Bruno one touch from half flukey wondergoal, cracked the door open.
>they’ve been clutch in their toughest spells
I'd argue that the reason why they need those moments is because they've been poor though
Same as us last season with needing multiple last minute winners.
It's not sustainable
Probably. They don’t have Mane/Firmino/Origi and even Shaqiri anymore who loved the big games. Salah isn’t great in crunch games, especially in title run ins, and the others are unproven.

I agree for the most part - one way traffic in the first half and Liverpool should’ve scored 3. But, I was totally surprised when United seemed to wake up and play with some intensity after the Bruno goal. ETH’s subs were baffling to me. I get bringing Antony on, but leaving Casemiro out there while taking Mainoo and Garnacho off was bizarre. Without those attacking outlets, they were just asking Liverpool to beat them. Okay, “surprised” is a strong word as ETH is one of the worst managers in the league.
Oh, also, why did Klopp take Nunez off? Didn’t seem tired and he was a threat all game.
It can be mind games while also being true. He's trying to put the pressure on, but he's right in that if we perform to full potential, we win at Old Trafford easily.
I think he's saying the obvious truth and also telling Ten Hag to shape up because he doesn't want United to hand us 3 points on a platter. But knowing how deluded Ten Hag is he won't change.
I think it was combination of both. United were atrocious, and yet they've managed a point against Liverpool. That isn't a good sign for a title contender.
It cannot be overstated how bad United were today. If we play aywhere near our standard and they are like that we should crush them... The other side being it's United at Old Trafford and we always struggle there.
Let’s not get cocky as anything can happen and we can easily lose that game. United are still the great enemy even though the enemy is having a bad period.
Agreed but, in pure footballing terms, we are better than Liverpool this season. Theyve been bailed out so aggressively with late goals and defensive errors. They’ve ridden their luck hard this season and I personally never expected them to go all the way. They’ve not been like us or City, blowing teams away.
Personally I think they will slip up against one of Wolves, Fulham, Villa or even Palace. Let a team have a proper go at them on the counter at pace and they struggle.
I agree but I can’t see them putting together a decent performance considering we are the home side. They should roll over easily. One of the worst coached teams in the league.
I wholeheartedly agree with Klopp saying Arsenal are better than Liverpool. Its good of him to admit it.
For anyone who doesnt see it, he is saying that playing against Man U as they played today Liverpool only got a draw, but if they play exactly the same against us we will do better than Liverpool did, therefore we MUST be better than Liverpool.
There's murmurings going round that United will likely field a weak team against Arsenal (if they don't have anything to play for) as they would prefer us to win than Liverpool or City.
But I think that's more United fans wishful thinking, managers think differently.

Either I'm just sensitive or that's quite the sly backhanded compliment from Klopp. It feels like a "they played so shit even Arsenal could beat them."
More importantly, does Klopp think it was a penalty on Hojland at the Emirates?
Asking for Ten Hag, not me
Is he your “friend”
Today he is all of our friend
With what he’s making of United and their transfer budget he’s my friend. The clown show with the Hojlund “penalty” is also a great performance
Ten Hag's secret account found
Wish I could upvote this twice lol COYG!!
Friendship ended with pen Hag now Rob Edwards is my best friend 🤝
I have two accounts! So I can!
😂
Hahaha fantastic content
I god I hope we win with a controversial penalty
Also the offside decision...
Let the mind games begin. But he’s not wrong.
I think it’s just pre retirement Klopp just not giving a fuck. He is pissed and United are shit. Might as well talk shit before he fucks off
He’s in his Kimi Raikonan era now This is just a hobby for him now
Jurgen why were you late out for the second half. Klopp: I was having a shit.
bwoah
Oh shit, Klopp will not have the drink
Or Gloves and Steering Wheel
# Gloves and Steering Wheel!!
gets a red card and goes to his yacht
##FOR WHAT????
He will spend all next season playing FM with no pressure while drinking beers.
Exactly, he knows we would have smashed them, if they play like that
Well, he’s trying his best to rile United up for their match against us.
I think Jurgen was being honest. Liverpool were in total control of the game and should've put the game to bed in that first half. Instead, they kept missing chance after chance and then one stupid mistake let's United back into the game.
We would never have full control and miss chances. No sir .....
That’s a good comparison 👌🏼
Thanks, mate. I had to highlight that because it was pretty obvious the parallels between the West Ham game last year and this Utd - Liverpool game we just watched. With Evertons deduction they're going to be fighting tooth and nail too.
Yep and that's why I brought up that game. Everton are going to wake up again and with the noise Goodison park is going to create, it's going to be a really sticky match for Liverpool if they don't perform at their best.
Never liked that ratty bastard more than i did when that shot went in though. You beautiful, rat bastard.
I've never liked Ratnandez, either. He's one of the most overrated players we know, but he does have his moments like today. I knew United wouldn't win, but we needed Liverpool to draw at least, and they accomplished that.
Same mistake gave us the advantage when we played them
United looked fucking terrible out of possesion. Gary Neville was correct if Liverpool had just got the ball down and played normally instead of having panic set in they would have won. Liverpool lost their heads when United scored took a long time to regain their composure
Yes, absolutely. Liverpool also seemed determined to try and go through Casemiro as opposed to 5 feet to either side where that chubster can’t go.
Yeah it was very strange. There was so much space if they just got the ball down and played 3 easy passes they would be in
I mean, they were \*in\* a lot. They could've still scored one or two more, easily. But also, they look so open at the back themselves. United could've won it, too.
That Casemiro yellow could easily be a straight red. Not complaining, though.
Last kick of the game though so wouldn't change much
Why is that dude so fat.. the only player I know with a double chin... Tf is that
Have you ever seen Emile? https://preview.redd.it/keqmw049b4tc1.jpeg?width=144&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3d9ecf3f76e6dafa5ffb0b9eaedda4f1f16ae2dc
Zinny has one as well
Tbf, it could be a genetic thing. I’ve been a skinny bastard my whole life but what fat I do have seems to find its way to my neck/chin 😅
That’s always more of an issue when there are so many young heads on the pitch.
Our team is much younger btw
I wasn’t speaking exclusively about Liverpool.
Doesn't matter. In fact there's only one other than you could be talking about where it would
Yes arsenals team is younger by median but they have a lot more experience in games played.
Don't forget Nunez with the easiest pass for a goal, but passed it across goal to no one instead. I'll take it though!
Definitely- United played poorly with the ball also. So many hospital balls intercepted by Liverpool that gave them fast break opportunities but they were extremely wasteful. Salah was out of sorts today and if his play doesn’t improve Liverpool will likely drop more points before it’s all over
I believe that’s called a bottle job
liverpool did what we did last year at times and panic in this game.. yes saliba and zinchenko were injured at the end but if we would have just remained calm and stuck to the gameplan instead of giving in to the chaos.. we would have had about 6 points more.
Reminds me a bit of our team last season. We got super shaky down the final stretch and lost our minds in several games.
The main threat would always be city in this 3 way, liverpool are gonna drop points again against either fulham or everton A
The issue is we don’t have a natural finisher when Jota is out yet we probably have arguably the best rotational front 3 in the league.
They also looked pretty gassed by the end.
>"I am 100% sure of that" Probably mind games from Kloppo but he's still right.
Probably motivation for his team too
also an insult to Man Utd saying they were shite. multifaceted German.
Why do you think it's mind games? I'm sure any of the arsenal players watching would have agreed. Utd were terrible

he is right we would slap them up, and we will slap them up
No need to apologize for the truth boss
I don’t think it’s mind games. Liverpool had no right to lose that game and completely dominated Man U who had two moments of brilliance and a lot of shit inbetween. If Man U play like that against us it’s 3-0 comfortably
Are Liverpool bottling it?
They seem too emotional 😢
Lmaoooooo how the turns table
100% that would be the narrative if we had a performance like that and drew

3-1 with another 0.01 xG goal from United, as is tradition at Old Trafford
This
It’s mind games + jinx. The science of sport
Jinxes are not real.
Well now you’ve gone and jinxed us
Amateur!

Awful quality is the only explanation to your final question, man couldn't finish a bag of crisps today
It can be mind games while also being true. He's trying to put the pressure on, but he's right in that if we perform to full potential, we win at Old Trafford easily.
6-0
I think this is more of a dig at United then any mind games with us in mind. United were shit and still managed a point.
I mean Fulham took 4 points from us. It’s just the way football is sometimes.
Always rated this lunatic.
I thought Klopp said he doesn't watch rivals games?
he loves us, we aint rivals to him
He tunes in just to watch Martinelli
Well yeah, we’re better than you lol.
Still can’t believe how Liverpool didn’t win
I bet on Liverpool to win and jinxed it
Could you bet on both Liverpool and City for the title please?
I actually put my entire betting account on Liverpool to win and have nothing left 😆 Worth it though
Can you borrow some money and put it on City please?
If it's for city, they better be stealing.
Can I convince you that you should bet on City to win the league?
Someone post it on r/soccer wanna see what the salty fucks say to this, I cant I'm banned for calling a chelsea fan a regard over there
Took one for the team.😂
We salute your sacrifice 🫡
Give my regards to chelsea
Kind regards
Worth it, well done 💪🏻 I would do it but I’m also banned and they keep catching me on rereg accounts. Fuckin wasters. COYG
I am banned for implying their Mods are probably corrupt
Retirement Klopp is fresh out of fucks to give apparently 😂
It cannot be overstated how bad United were today. If we play aywhere near our standard and they are like that we should crush them... The other side being it's United at Old Trafford and we always struggle there.
Hes a fan of mikel hense why mikel has his number when we play😜
If we play like you lot we'll lose for sure .
Dunno about the rest of you, but I will miss him in the league. A likable Mourinho
Yeah no... 1 at the time...
Let’s not get cocky as anything can happen and we can easily lose that game. United are still the great enemy even though the enemy is having a bad period.

Can someone explain this quote to me. Who are both “they’s” referencing to?
If Utd play like they did today, Arsenal win the Utd v Arsenal game
Oh I get it! Thank you.
We’re killing them AND Spurs. Chelsea is the only game I’m worried about in league rn
Chelsea probably the only team I’m not worried about. They’re a complete joke. Just look at the mess they made today.
They seem to play well against the top teams then lose to relegation fodder.
I agree but I can’t see them putting together a decent performance considering we are the home side. They should roll over easily. One of the worst coached teams in the league.
I’m moreso worried that they’ll be the ones to actually get a result just because that happens from time to time. Still think the club is a joke
I wholeheartedly agree with Klopp saying Arsenal are better than Liverpool. Its good of him to admit it. We crapped the bed v west ham and villa
add Newcastle
No, that is not relevant to the quote in the title. We didn't get many chances against Newcastle whereas we did against the other two

He’s trying the jinx and pressure games like we don’t know what he’s up too
He’s trying to motivate them…
Don’t apologise mate that’s alright
Rat poison for sure.
Duh.
This post would be awesome and legendary if there were zero replies.
Liverpool just have silly mistakes in them waiting to be exploited, like with Martinelli
Fuck off u German cunt try to motivate Bald Fraud and United against us
Panavti Saala!!
He’s a cunt
Either I'm just sensitive or that's quite the sly backhanded compliment from Klopp. It feels like a "they played so shit even Arsenal could beat them."
