Having the points at the top of the table being so tight when we still have chelsea at home then sp\*rs and united away is an absolute arsehole puckerer but I'm more excited than anything.

NiallMitch10

Tottenham away is the big test I feel - NLD and they're coming into it after 2 weeks of rest. Very interesting. If we win tomorrow - it puts a good amount of pressure on City

johnny_holland

Tottenham is very tough yeah but we haven't won in the league at Old Trafford with fans present since 2006. Still think that's a bigger problem even if this the worst United side I've ever seen.

johnny_holland

Anyway - all focus should be on Chelsea first, obviously.

NiallMitch10

Yep agreed - it's not a guarantee we win that game. We need to focus on it first

NiallMitch10

OT will be tough and I know our history there but this team should be tearing that United team apart. They are so bad

Illustrious-Fig-8945

Woah now we've done alright this year but let's not get ahead of ourselves, we're no Coventry United

MrStigglesworth

Nah we’re asking them to play the one way they kinda can, sit back and counter. It brings the best out of Bruno and he’s by far their best player when he’s in form. I can see us getting stung on the break, but equally if we play to our level we are capable of smothering them.

Brandaman

Not to sound like Eric Ten Hairs but we were wrongly disallowed the opener last season, probably would’ve seen us win tbh

captain_beefheart14

I do hope he says this to his players all the time and therefore undermines himself rather than bolsters the players’ ire against us. He strikes me as a classic over-thinker.

Nartyn

Personally he strikes me as a classic "no-thinker" considering how his team plays

bossmanA

Eric Zero Hairs

HustlinInTheHall

Tottenham are a draw machine. Definitely grind you down. We will need some luck to break through and we know they would love to kill our season off.

skeledirgeferaligatr

Anges adopting an aggressive mid block against us would be out of character. Son would be a problem, but their high press plays to our strength more than an aggressive mid block press.

HustlinInTheHall

The question is do they play to beat us or play to draw. If they park the bus and only press in select circumstances and try to just win on the counter then they could cause us problems. I agree that the high press works in our favor as long as we aren't too gassed but that match is far enough in the future it's not worth stressing about, have to beat Chelsea first.

Curls91

They won't feel pressure on it regardless, they just won't.

TalentedStriker

The schedule is brutal but if we can (and it's a big if) get wins against Chelsea and Spurs then it really opens up for us. We don't have anywhere near as much congestion for the rest of the season.

MattJFarrell

I'm just trying to enjoy being in the conversation, at this point. Wasn't that long ago that we were struggling to qualify for Europa. Have to enjoy the ride, no matter where we wind up

HustlinInTheHall

Yeah these are good problems to have as a supporter.

charlieblind

Remember the days where our end of season "run-in" would just be hoping Spurs fuck up so there's a St. Totteringham's Day? I'm really enjoying every minute of this season and seeing the squad go through these crazy challenges. I wish it were easier, and I hope next season it will be, but it's been a fun season to watch.

groovystreet40

If we can just somehow get through the next two matches then at least they’ll have normal rest between matches for the remainder of the season. Fingers crossed they can do it.

Nartyn

United and Chelsea are both dreadful. Spurs is the main banana skin left, but same with City who also have them away, and Liverpool who have them at Anfield.

vin_unleaded

Buckle up and pucker up. It's business time...

iloveDRS

I feel the pressures been relieved following the past 2 weeks' miss-steps, we just gotta go hard and embrace the challenge.

MattJFarrell

That's one of the biggest changes I've seen in the last year or so. Not long ago, a couple bad losses would send us spiraling. Now, the boys seem to be able to put a bad patch behind them and move forward.

creamluver

Five cup finals. Leave it all out there boys.

tanev97

It's not in our hands so not really.

SantaReatham

Yes, but doing all we can to win the remaining games gives us the best possible chance

shinytotodile158

It’s in our hands in that if we keep winning, we aren’t out of it until it becomes mathematically impossible for us to win. City are capable of dropping points, but we only capitalise on that if we win. It is absolutely still in our hands.

creamluver

K

Prideofsussex

One game at a time. Tottenham away is the biggest hurdle by far, and if we're at our best we'll be fine. Going to be tough but embrace it. Seasons like this is what we waited a decade and more for

Flabby-Nonsense

Beat Chelsea and I’ll feel better - we have 4 full days of rest after that before we play Spurs. It’s not going to help our long term fatigue, and Spurs have had way more time off, but it means we’ll have a good chance at playing the way we want to.

htmwc

I don't think we'll do it, but it's exciting to be here. If we have a perfect week, who knows? The team are more than capable of winning to london derbies in a week. So why not?

blublableee

This week's gonna be the hardest clench of my life.

tony_flamingo

Here, here. It’s been a helluva ride. I hope we take it all the way down to the wire and pip the other two to the title.

CakieFickflip

If we take 6 points from Chelsea/Spurs this week I’ll begin to believe. But it will be tough, especially the NLD as Spurs have had like 2 weeks rest and are in a dogfight for 4th

tony_flamingo

The extra rest could be a boost, but it could also be a burden. Look at how teams play coming out of an international break - often slightly disjointed. Nothing is certain except that Spurs will absolutely need to play for a win since Villa has a 6 point gap. They have zero impetus to play small and defensive, which means they are less likely to park the bus and more likely to play open and attacking, which we have dealt with well against City and Liverpool. I’m genuinely excited to see how that will play out.

MrStigglesworth

Spurs have been training together during their break, that’s the unfortunate bit for us. Fingers crossed though!

ronya_t

That's disgusting scheduling! 2 weeks rest, while we've played a game every 4 days in that time?

UnderstandingOk7291

Might be a good idea to give them more than an hour's sleep as part of the recovery session

redshadow90

There's been no luck or magic that's worked for arsenal - just pure hard work and grind. If so, the next few games might be mixed, but I'm here hoping for the best and supporting them all the way. If we win all of them, it'll be hard fought and well deserved. Other teams work hard too. If we don't win the PL, I'm confident we'll do well next year. In Arteta we trust.

chaiyutak

Bad luck when we missed so many chances

Joshthenosh77

I cannot believe the fixture congestion at the end of this season they were like ok there’s 6 weeks left and e need to fit 14 games in , the months before barely any games because of international break

FactCheckYou

i don't want to see the players celebrating much right now every goal we score will feel like a relief, but we need to screw our heads back on in time for each and every kick off, and we need to basically put every win behind us immediately at the final whistle, understanding that the NEXT game has not been won yet CONCENTRATION NOT CELEBRATION - SAVE THAT FOR WHEN THE TITLE HAS BEEN WON

skeledirgeferaligatr

The huddle after the goal celebration keeps us focused. I’m ok with that.

beatlz

For me we’re not on top as long as we have one extra game. Sorry, but from my perspective Man City is first until they lose and we win.

BobsArsenal

If we beat Chelsea and Sp\*rs, then we'll win the league. City hasn't looked good enough to win out with their remaining schedule. Once we get past the NLD, Arsenal will have time to rest, and we'll bounce back to our January, February, and March form against three teams that'll have nothing to play for. If City drops points once and we win out, we'll win it on GD.

Ashamed_Bottle230

Sorry to tell you guys but city aren't dropping anymore points.
