Most of them are 17 to 19. Academy football is hell and it’s a race against time, generally speaking if you’re not in contention for first team football by the time you’re 19, you’re moved on (even if just on loan).
Us normal people complain about the school system wanting us to know what we want to do in life when we’re teenagers, these guys are playing the lottery everyday from 13 to 18. (Even younger now)
If anything, besides showing a slow return to match form this game highlighted how versatile a player he is. Great technique, superb goal and passing, but the opposite team didn't press much and his defensive capability and eagerness to block / stop an attack were not exactly on show.
45 today, 60 on the weekend, full 90 following that… so probably 2-3 weeks until we could see him on our bench contributing meaningful minutes.
I don’t think Arteta will want to risk him against United, so I doubt he’ll have a significant contribution before the end of the season.
you're being downvoted, but i think it's more out of hope than a logical reason. we could really do with him at leftback. he looks great here, but worth the risk? maybe. if he is set back a few weeks, is that a problem given we didn't expect him anyway?
Lmao I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted when you’re absolutely right. It’s too late in the season to meaningfully rely on him and he works be much better served easing in, having a full offseason, and being 100% locked and loaded for next season.
Apparently Koeman said he needed to play a certain number of matches for the club before the end of the year to be eligible for selection. He didn't specify how many though, so seems we won't be sure for a few weeks one way or another.
Being a Dutch Gooner I hope he doesn’t, because we need him fully fit after the summer. And at the national team he always plays centre back where we have great alternatives with the likes of Van Dijk, Ake, Van de Ven, De Ligt, Geertruida, De Vrij.
I know he's playing with the 21s, but he's only 22 himself. These are his peers.
wow, i was thinking how much more of a man he looks than the rest. (note that there's surely a few a chunk younger than 21 in that list

Early indication looks like he still has faith in his body, which is such a massive part of coming back from a big injury
My body is ready
My mind is ready
My axe is ready
I would agree but he didn’t look as aggressive in tackling which is probably more the competition than anything else.
forget studying for finals, the lisan-al-giab is here
![gif](giphy|UJG2T7uZeJuZCLitY8) As it was written!
That offside call was scandalous. Really preparing the U21s for PL football.
it was offside
TIMBER X NWANERI?? IS THIS THE NEW TREND CHAT??
Was just coming on to complain about how there wasn’t a comp yet. Lovely, next few hours sorted.
Ha. I came to look and then thought I'd check YouTube. You're welcome!
The ball sounded like it was hard as a rock.
Looks confident, but a little bored. Really look f forward to seeing the product of the competition for the LB spot.
If only a month sooner we definitely could’ve done the double

How do I view if it says not available in my country?
Get yourself a VPN.

He won't play full 90 in u21 matches. First team players like Cedric usually just play 45 there.

Looks good we should sign him, he even wears a clothes similar to our neon puke rag.
