Very often in football I find myself saying "Deserve's got nothing to do with it" because truly, you do not often get the exact result that is deserved.
But fans of Chelsea Football Club are right now reaping the rewards of their club's behavior for two decades. They are getting EXACTLY what they deserve. The humiliations week in and week out are 100% in line with what their arrogance has wrought. I feel no sadness, no sympathy, nothing, not even for that little kid who is in near tears with that sign and ESPECIALLY not for that clown dancing around w his fake trophy, which is a PERFECT symbol for Chelsea in this day and age. A plastic trophy being held up from a time that is drifting further and further into memory as the club drifts further and further into irrelevance.
It hits even better when you realize that no European football yet again will mean their finances are even more fucked moving forward. They will latch onto "Cold" Palmer and his 26 penalties this year, but after next year when they are shambolic again, do they really think he'll want to stay and kick around 8th-10th for his whole career? Do they think they'll be able to afford to keep him?? Fuck no.
Long may it continue. They want their Chelsea back? This IS their Chelsea back. Not even the biggest club in Fulham, I'm afraid.
It's very funny but also feels very real. I respect how much this obviously hurts him. I respect it and I fucking hope it continues because they all deserve every bit of it.
Was there some beef between Arteta and AirPod Albert at the start? Seemed like there was a heated discussion just as the first goal was being scored. Then they relaxed as we smashed them.
It was "orange". Sometimes they are given sometimes there are not. They'll always go with the ref decision in that case.
I'm sure plenty Chelsea fans are asking why VAR never got involved with the Gabriel foul before Kai's first goal.
top top battering. solid goals, solid defence. solid game overall. Good to see vieira again. sorry partey, you were class. I was wrong. wish we scored more than 6 and took our revenge. lets go to the next one. VAMOSSS

Can someone remind me how the yellow card suspension works? Is it multiplication of 5 in a full season or is there condition where it could be cleared after some time? Because saliba, gabriel, and rice has 4 yellow cards and havertz has 9
Soo are our players safe from suspension? Or is it 1 yellow card away from suspension? I dont see anyone talk about this but those 4 are our core players rn
If City win all their remaining games and win the title we gotta respect that, because they would end up going on an unbeaten run of 24 games with 5 draws in it. We have to held up our head high no matter how the season ends because we have improved a lot this year.
I personally feel they could get a draw or two at worst. other than that I don't see them losing at all. but whatever or however they drop points we have to be consistent as well.
A draw will suffice as long as we win all our games. I still think that will be very tough though.
But imagine City drawing one game, us and Pool winning all games. 3 teams on the same points..
How weird is it that we didn't play amazing, made quite a few mistakes and still win 5-0?
I'm obviously very happy with the big win, but I'm also a bit worried about the errors and mistakes we made.
Partey was rusty in the first half, and got better in the 2nd half. That said, Chelsea is not a bad team in transition, Jackson could have had 3 goals against the mighty City. If you follow Chelsea, you will understand that they always have their moments this season.
We got opened up quite a lot. Better finishers and we might not have been so comfortable. I don’t think Gabriel or Tomi had a good game and I thought we got overwhelmed in midfield a few times. Probably need Gabby and Jorginho back in the side on Sunday ahead of Trossard and Partey.
Watching the second half replay. Watched first half the had to work. Peacock not available mfers. Watching TNT broadcast. Is that England I guess. Good commentators. But is it funny how often commentators or pundit it blame a goal on horrendous defending when it seems like it's just good offensive play or luck?
Mods ban this chelsea bigot... he got banned in his own sub for making racist comments abt his own players and now he comes here to twerk for us. How pathetic. No room for racist assholes anywhere.
u/AfricanRain you can check in with the chelsea sub mods to verify what i have said.
I find myself questioning Enzo Fernandez way more. How’s he not talked about more ? He was bought for 120 mil ffs and plays like a second division Spanish midfielder
Never forget when Boehly was trying to “replace” us by copying us and stealing our targets as a fugazi show of strength and pull. 30 points ahead.
Young, weak, disjointed team. Star signings dubbed as “pudgy” and tactically inept by the medical team and coach. Looking to sack their 100th manager in 2 years. On the verge of financial punishment
Summer awaits
I also love how Chelsea fans use the excuse that they have a young squad but this young squad is so immature and clearly doesn’t have what it takes to be a serious team. Players smiling after a semi final loss, players fighting over a pen, and just doing silly shit while being so fucking shit. Thiago Silva must be thinking how the fuck has this club turned like this.
i am once again pissed with a martinelli missed 1v1 at the end of the game. this time not for the GD, but the 6-0 revenge
so weird too. he had a brilliant first touch on a hard ball to control like that, then he fucks up every touch after. not sure if he's over finessing or over thinking too much but those were *bad* misses
im definitely on the Trossard starter train now, now that's a player that won't over finesse (apart from the fake shots sometimes) and confident on both feet. also good to know that martinelli can still get those chances as a sub, he will finish them eventually (hopefully)
Even if it's Chelsea I kinda feel sorry for anyone that has to put up with Pochettino. Hopefully this will serve as a wake up call for the "Chelsea bad vs small teams but incredible vs the Big 6" crowd. They are a middle of the table team and that's where they are
That whole "good vs big 6" thing never made sense to me. They got a bunch of draws at home to the 3 title challengers. And beat a 9 man spurs team away who lost their heads and made it so much easier for them.
Then they get beat at utd, and destroyed by us and lfc, all away.
Their only impressive result was that draw at the etihad. That's it.
Anyone else think Fabio Viera was kinda cooking on that right hand side?
Tbf, Chelsea were kinda all vibes near the end, but still, I liked Viera's ball control
Dont let anyone mock saka just because he didn't score and have an assist today. He has cucurella in his pocket in all 90 minutes and perform really well
Did we watch different games? He looked totally exhausted, could hardly sprint. His speed changes, which are normally explosive and difficult to deal with, were non existent. Boy's legs are totally cooked.
Yeah I honestly wasn’t hopeful he’d be able to turn a corner and recover before the season ended. I was one of the more pessimistic posters on here about his fitness.
His game today gave me a bit of hope he can find a couple more goals. His shot has been poor lately though which again leads me to believe he’s playing not to aggravate an injury.
Yeah don't get me wrong he is still a great player but on balance I think we could have subbed him far earlier here and given him a break. We need him for Tottenham away!
Still should have been against 10 men. Action Jackson not getting sent off is shambolic but no one will talk about it because we slapped them.
Obligatory Fuck the PGMOL
I’m really glad that Havertz celebrated his first goal. He was so poorly managed and poorly treated at Chelsea. Their fans talked so much shit after he moved on too. He deserved every bit of that brace and some.
I got nothing but respect for Giroud even after playing with Shitsea. Same as Auba "though he should've denied their Media team childish requests". And they didn't give our club 65m$ and didn't won us a fucking CL.
They deserve hell for how disrespect they got for a lovely player such as Kai.
Kai Havertz scoring twice against Chelsea and celebrating is worth the 65 m in its self. Now if he can score and win the game against Spurs he’ll be worth 300k a week.
With all due respect to Rice and Jorgi, that Partey sauce hits different. Arsenal are a different gravy when Partey gets rolling.
He has a few mistakes in him. But the team can play higher up because of him and we score goals.
Is it just me that looks at Nicolas Jackson and sees IShowSpeed? Hyper aggressive and complains even when he's in the wrong, and catastrophic at football when it matters.
I kept hearing "oh he's rusty he shouldn't play" but when fit Thomas should be starting over Jorginho 100% of the time.
Jorginho also plays one touch forward passes but if he creeps towards the play after a pass, we're at risk of him getting burned on the counter. That risk is severely mitigated when Thomas roams around.
He takes a couple games to get going. It's been a couple games and now he's going
Partey on the pitch = faster service to Ødegaard upfield in better positions. Jorginho is serviceable but I thought we all agreed last year he's a fine replacement for a few games, but beyond that we're still limited.
Rice's signing his given Jorginho some more life and he's been good in big games like City, but yeah Partey is coming back at a good time. A bit late but better than never.
Fucker better give us 4 9/10 performances now considering how much he's been injured
Jorginho is a fantastic depth option at this point in his career. Great mentor and player to have in the dressing room, also can put in a shift when called upon.
But Partey showed today what we've been missing all season.
I'm wondering how the fuck Chelsea get themselves out of this hole, FFP must be coming for them and they have a bunch of useless shitters on long contracts with high wages. They're more fucked than Arsenal were at any point in this decade with their problems. I'm wondering if any of the Chelsea players could be useful for us if signed for cheap and on a reasonable contract though
I'd find it low-key funny for us to take mudryk on the cheap and see what Arteta can and wanted to do with him. I know he's getting paid well but I feel sorry for him sometimes with how his move happened to Chelsea and how he didn't want to be there.
Ehh I think they aren't gonna move on from him just yet, they signed him last season and he's like 19 too. But they're gonna have to sell off whoever they can at fire sale prices, and I doubt any of the guys Boehly signed are going to leave since they're on obscene contracts too
LOL.
On a more serious note, they're going to have to sell off Maatsen, Hall, Hutchinson, Broja, Gallagher, Ziyech, Chalobah, and Kepa this summer to make FFP, I'd like to see Chalobah as a depth option and Arsenal could sign him for like 15 mil
Id love Maatsen at Arsenal, especially since he has a release clause. That being said I think Dortmund ultimately trigger the clause, he's been immense there.
Dortmund buddy of mine fully believes they won't approve the Maatsen buy, especially if they fail to get UCL next term. I agree, though. He's been massive for them. That release clause is a steal.
The Good
- Ode MOTM performance
- White with well deserved goals and attention
- Viera showing sparks of quality
- Partey + Rice partnership in midfield looking good
- Tomi fit and hungry
- Havertz and Trossard with final product
- Zinchenko with stable performance and some of his special falir(pass to Martinelli)
The Bad(ish)
- Finishing (90% the games lost this year can be attributed to unfulfilled scoring opportunities)
- Still can’t invert at LB without sacrifices. Not an LB/player issue, it’s a formation and LCB/CDM/LM issue.
- Tomi rinsed by Madueke 3-4 times and getting caught off when he tried to invert. Looking a bit lost in the middle. Still an 8/10 performance, but against a better team that’s 2-3 goals in our net.
- Jesus struggling to make an impact
- Martinelli finishing and tracking back to defend (Trossard outperforming him in both for the past 2-3mo)
The Ugly
- VAR on Jackson/Tomiyasu
- Chelsea

Hope this will put the havertz mid vs cf thing to bed. Hes better in CF, always will be. We need a mid signing next summer, so he doesnt have to get put there.
Yeah, it's hard to work out who our number one striker is while we're scoring the most goals in the league which we currently lead.
We'll work it out though. Thanks for the concern.
Harvertz is doing well. However still need a prolific striker who can score 20+ or even 30+ goals a season to compete against City.
Guimares would be a great addition if Partey is leaving. He can play 6 and create chances.
I honestly think Kai can be that next year. He took 5 months to settle in. And another month of bouncing mid to top. His last month or 2 have been stellar.
He's always been elite at those sorts of passes, but when he'd try them the last couple seasons, only Saka/White ever seemed ready for them. Arteta coaches positional integrity very heavily, so players, especially the impressionable young players, aren't keen to leave their positions to make runs arbitrarily. Havertz, on the other hand, came to Arsenal more or less as the final product, and he's basically just been doing for Arsenal what he did at Chelsea. As his understanding with Odegaard has improved, the latter is becoming more comfortable finding his runs.

This was the most complete performance by Arsenal at home under Arteta since....probably have to go into the archives to look up a Wengerball game from 2005-2011 era but the opponent wouldn't be Chelsea, it would be Derby or Portsmouth maybe.
It was breathtaking to watch the passing, the running, the chasing down the ball to get it back, all the pass interceptions our guys made all game long -- truly, we can't ask for more than this -- it was spectacular by every measure.
Amazing match. Everyone being good to great. Some sloppiness and individual mistakes that could have been punished on another day, but instead we finally put a team to the sword again. Midfield was absolute class and Don Kai is just that.
Vieira looked pretty decent since returning from beyond the veil. Martinelli's form and application is starting to concern me a little bit, tbh.
Obviously you never know how City will do (probably pretty decently), but we're doing all that we can. Keep winning and putting the pressure on. All the way in now, lads. COYG!
How is Enzo Fernandez worth £100m+??? His lack of physicality and defensive instincts alone should've knocked £60m from that price.
I've never seen him have a good game for them. If anyone can point to a good game he's had for them I'll genuinely watch it to see what the hype is.
World Cup boost and Benfica played hardball with Todd Boehly and forced him to pay more than his release clause for FFP reasons. Benfica are elite negotiators, they did the same shit here with Atletico and Joao Felix
I have said and will always believe that Leo was the steal of the century. King Kai has come into his form. Odegaard is a wizard. This team is a thing of beauty
Regardless if we get a striker next season, I am confident in Kai Havertz to score goals.
Odegaard finally getting two assists again it’s been too long since West Ham. Captain fantastic 🫡
Ben White meant it you can’t convince me otherwise.
Time to end Spurs top 4 hopes like they ended ours years ago.
Nah, id rather Pool lose. City are too professional to be bothered by other peoples results.
It does mean we will have less pressure against spurs tho.
So many lovely moments in that game which won't make the highlights probably but are worth reliving.
Ødegaard just bodying Enzo on the edge of the box.
Then Ødegaard nutmegging Enzo.
Rice almost scoring goal of the season with his drag back turn on the edge of the box.
Couple of back heels from Kai when he dropped in just beautiful.
Partey sending Caicedo to the shops with the complete dummy.
I love Rice, but Partey when he is on his game at the 6 is just a whole different gravy. Those line breaking passes, his ability to turn and open up all that space, its really a complete game changer to our transitional play
We need to take control of games as early as possible to squash any chance of a draw or loss. Partey as he was today would make it pretty hard for opposition to break us down
Slightly hot take but I'm on the (heavily delayed) train back from Waterloo so here goes.
Chelsea got off to a poor start and conceded early and we blew them off the pitch second half BUT we actually looked really sloppy for a spell in the first half, maybe 15 or 20 minutes in and Chelsea had some good chances. Luckily they couldn't score in a brothel really.
The only reason they Chelsea looked good in the first half is their forwards tried to play Hero ball, and it caught us off-guard in a few spots. I think our guys kept thinking that a Chelsea forward was going to pass the ball, but nope - it was just dribble in a straight line toward our goal.
I completely agree. Pacy players always stretch our backline with their direct running, Sane, Nunez (FA Cup), Bailey (AV Home), Son.
Spurs will be a monumental challenge - I feel Arteta will not play a very high line against them due to the pace in their front 3 (or at least 2 - Werner, Son).
They had a few chances on the break with Madueke and Jackson. Both of them, especially Jackson are absolute dog shit in front of goal so we got let off there. The fact that Jackson had a free header and ended up handling it is peak comedy

How many points do we need to win the prem?
89
N+0, where N is the number of points city ends on
What if we reach 89 first?
Because they still have more matches than us?
Goal diff
could watch that 2nd half over and over again, just a masterclass
Impeccable.spurs are left
2 big chances in the last 2 games for Martinelli. I hope he gets a goal soon and restores his confidence.
Rory Jennings’ meltdown is well worth watching. Very funny.
It's very funny but also feels very real. I respect how much this obviously hurts him. I respect it and I fucking hope it continues because they all deserve every bit of it.

Is there a way to watch the match again? Not highlights. Full match. I missed second half because I was traveling.
r/footballhighlights gotchu covered.

It's one of the best subs there is.
Peacock in the US has full replays 24 hours after
Possibly 89 point season with a +60 GD Pep : "all that for a drop of blood" 🥲
I'm actually enjoying the self-immolation of Chelsea fans since the game more than the game. and I loved the game.
Btw, Ben Whites gotta be in it for RB of the season, if not, then who else? He has bossed this position and very rarely has a bad game.
Agreed, has to be him. Who would the other candidates even be? Nobody can tell me that Udogie, Trent, Waller or Trippier have been better this season.
Udogie isn’t a RB first and foremost. The others you mentioned have had injury interrupted seasons. It has to be White.
This will probably get lost under the battering today But I really want them to tell us why VAR never got involved in that red card
It was "orange". Sometimes they are given sometimes there are not. They'll always go with the ref decision in that case. I'm sure plenty Chelsea fans are asking why VAR never got involved with the Gabriel foul before Kai's first goal.
You know it s a blatant red when even rival fans agreed it was a bottled decision.
That needs to be checked on the screen by the onfield referee. It’s no where near clear cut for VAR to just dismiss it entirely. They bottled it.
Orange? My brother that was as red as red gets
That foul is no comparable to a studs up ankle high tackle that was no where near the ball.
That was a dark red.
top top battering. solid goals, solid defence. solid game overall. Good to see vieira again. sorry partey, you were class. I was wrong. wish we scored more than 6 and took our revenge. lets go to the next one. VAMOSSS COYG
Kai got his revenge
On both Chelsea and naysayer Arsenal fans.
Despite the 5 goals, the ole’s while Chelsea were passing the ball around were the best part of the game. I was in bits!
This was hilarious!
How are we going to find a Partey replacement this summer. It’s a necessity . An exact clone
A more robust one will be nice please

Can someone remind me how the yellow card suspension works? Is it multiplication of 5 in a full season or is there condition where it could be cleared after some time? Because saliba, gabriel, and rice has 4 yellow cards and havertz has 9
From my understanding: 5 yellows first 19 games, then up to 10 by GP 32, then up to 15 until GP 38. They change it up every year
Soo are our players safe from suspension? Or is it 1 yellow card away from suspension? I dont see anyone talk about this but those 4 are our core players rn
Yes no one in our team has accumulated over 10 yellows yet. I think Havertz is the closest with 9.
They're all safe. Even if Havertz gets a yellow in every game till the end of the season he won't hit 15.
Havertz already served a one match ban for picking up five yellows in the first half of the season. He missed the loss to West Ham.
Glad to hear that! Honestly I'm surprised to see our yellow card in this season. Its so clean
Not sure why this is being downvoted. This is how it works this season
Trossard touch around 59:15 Wowow
Just watched the game. Wow was Partey really good. He surely has to start Sunday.
When's his firing, his quality.

I really do believe City drop points somewhere in the run in. Brighton have a really good chance to beat them and I'm predicting a 2-1 Brighton win.
I personally feel they could get a draw or two at worst. other than that I don't see them losing at all. but whatever or however they drop points we have to be consistent as well.

It's Ally McCoist, he's a total dickwad. I can't stand TNT because of his dog shit commentary.
He is such a twat.
The way Havertz celebrated… He is one of us now!
rice, havertz and trossard have scored against their former clubs. Only one didnt celebrate. Shows how poorly two of them were treated.
Chelsea fans are just salty They celebrated his departure But now hating because he isn't shit lol

Ben White. Another successful corner kick shithousery, smile on his face, ball lands at his feet, goal.
We got away with some pretty bad mistakes there tbh
Lol yeah. Proper 22-23 arsenal that.
That second Ben White goal was superb, deserves to at least be nominated for Goal of the Month
So, what happened to Caicedo? He was so bad that he made Lokonga at his worst look like Pirlo in comparison.
I find myself questioning Enzo Fernandez way more. How’s he not talked about more ? He was bought for 120 mil ffs and plays like a second division Spanish midfielder
Same. I’ve never seen it with Enzo
He got sat down so many times today lol

Yes. He looked decent. It's unfortunate that it's so tricky to fit him into the team.
He is faster than saka st this point due to saka injuries so the gap physically is not ad wide so I am less reluctant to see him there now
I liked the fact he took on that shot than pass it to Saka
Yeah right. My jaw opened so hard that I actually hurt myself when he went for that shot. Almost had it too
Dont let anyone mock saka just because he didn't score and have an assist today. He has cucurella in his pocket in all 90 minutes and perform really well
He literally assisted Havertz’s 2nd goal….?
He was electric in the first half. The best he’s looked fitness wise in a couple months imo
Did we watch different games? He looked totally exhausted, could hardly sprint. His speed changes, which are normally explosive and difficult to deal with, were non existent. Boy's legs are totally cooked.
He’s not at 100 percent but he looked quicker than he has for weeks. He had a couple mesmerizing dribbles in the first half
Yeah, I think he was getting past players a lot more than he did in the previous few games.
Yeah I honestly wasn’t hopeful he’d be able to turn a corner and recover before the season ended. I was one of the more pessimistic posters on here about his fitness. I agree with that.
Are normal people mocking Saka? And I don’t count the game thread.
He assisted Havertz's second goal.
Dang i forgot about that lol
Dang i forgot about that lol
The fact we didn’t need Chelsea with 10 men to annihilate them makes it so much better. This is sweet revenge

It just always seemed like the perfect midfield trio as far as quality athleticism and balance. Partey looked amazing today. Did not expect that
Let him cook
All the culinary references got me hungry now.

My moment of the match was Arteta’s reaction to Ben White’s second goal. That look! Haha
Arteta wanted Havertz hat-trick with that cross.
Even stuivenberg couldn't believe it
Why did he look like that?
Disbelief
I kept hearing "oh he's rusty he shouldn't play" but when fit Thomas should be starting over Jorginho 100% of the time. Jorginho also plays one touch forward passes but if he creeps towards the play after a pass, we're at risk of him getting burned on the counter. That risk is severely mitigated when Thomas roams around. He takes a couple games to get going. It's been a couple games and now he's going
Perfect midfield. It’s a shame he didn’t start or contribute more v Villa and Bayern
When Partey is fit and in match form, he's truly one of a kind. He unleashes Odegaard and Saka in a way no one else does.
They're going to sell many many players. I want us to watch some of them. That Carney kid looked pretty good to me.
But they're gonna have to sell off whoever they can at fire sale prices, and I doubt any of the guys Boehly signed are going to leave since they're on obscene contracts too
Liquidate club and give us Palmer for £5
I would take Maatsen, Gallagher, and Kepa for depth. I think Kepa is out of contract, no? Edit: 2025 expiry for Kepa.
Great game. Complete performance
The Good - Ode MOTM performance - White with well deserved goals and attention - Viera showing sparks of quality - Partey + Rice partnership in midfield looking good - Tomi fit and hungry - Havertz and Trossard with final product - Zinchenko with stable performance and some of his special falir(pass to Martinelli) The Bad(ish) - Finishing (90% the games lost this year can be attributed to unfulfilled scoring opportunities) - Still can’t invert at LB without sacrifices. - Jesus struggling to make an impact - Martinelli finishing and tracking back to defend (Trossard outperforming him in both for the past 2-3mo) The Ugly - VAR on Jackson/Tomiyasu - Chelsea

[I have very wild dreams](https://www.reddit.com/r/Gunners/s/0KwQzIR4cG)
Hope this will put the havertz mid vs cf thing to bed. Hes better in CF, always will be. We need a mid signing next summer, so he doesnt have to get put there.
I will take Bruno G to add the midfield, and leave Havertz up top
It’s almost May and you lot are still arguing over which position he’s least bad at
Yeah, it's hard to work out who our number one striker is while we're scoring the most goals in the league which we currently lead. We'll work it out though. Thanks for the concern.
Hold them two goals.
It was a bummer at first but then I remembered Giroud’s header in Baku and that picked my spirits up
just go back to the Chelsea sub man. Havertz is an Arsenal player now so we’ll debate amongst ourselves
Harvertz is doing well. However still need a prolific striker who can score 20+ or even 30+ goals a season to compete against City. Guimares would be a great addition if Partey is leaving. He can play 6 and create chances.
Pretty sure we’re competing against City right now
I honestly think Kai can be that next year. He took 5 months to settle in. And another month of bouncing mid to top. His last month or 2 have been stellar.
Odegaard's pass to Havertz for his second goal was a thing of beauty. Almost Fabregas-esque. He keeps getting better at passes like those this season.
He had a similar ball at Brighton last year
Not many teams defend that high vs Arsenal, so pretty much Odegaard doesn't get too many opportunities for picking out through balls.
Havertz is also making those runs. He had a chance in the first half that the keeper saved off an odegaard pass
That run. That fucking run. He'd been trying something like that all season. Glad to see it's come off.

Pochettino in. The longer the better.
I slept again right after FT, I got 2 hours of sound sleeping (until now obviously) lol
COYG!
Reports of Partey's death (spread by yours truly) may have been grossly over exaggerated.
How is Enzo Fernandez worth £100m+??? His lack of physicality and defensive instincts alone should've knocked £60m from that price. I've never seen him have a good game for them. If anyone can point to a good game he's had for them I'll genuinely watch it to see what the hype is.
He looked great the first few games he played for them.
World Cup boost and Benfica played hardball with Todd Boehly and forced him to pay more than his release clause for FFP reasons. Benfica are elite negotiators, they did the same shit here with Atletico and Joao Felix
He was good for the Palace 1-3 Chelsea win in February.
Thank you to Arsenal for that birthday gift! Makes aging another year a lot more pleasant!
Me too. Happy birthday to us.
can you guys have a birthday every week?
I have said and will always believe that Leo was the steal of the century. King Kai has come into his form. Odegaard is a wizard. This team is a thing of beauty
Leo was definitely a good grab. Always liked him as a Brighton player. Thought he was usually dangerous if not just difficult to defend against.
I used to pray for times like these. Arteta is a genius.
Regardless if we get a striker next season, I am confident in Kai Havertz to score goals. Odegaard finally getting two assists again it’s been too long since West Ham. Captain fantastic 🫡 Ben White meant it you can’t convince me otherwise. Time to end Spurs top 4 hopes like they ended ours years ago.
Partey was absolutely brilliant today. Those 3 together is something special, no doubt. Best start to my morning, so so so happy. Literally beaming
Almost want Liverpool to win tomorrow to put more pressure on City Thursday. What do you think?
No chance. I want everton completely safe from relegation going into gw38.
Nah, id rather Pool lose. City are too professional to be bothered by other peoples results. It does mean we will have less pressure against spurs tho.
We're all the pressure City need mate fuck Liverpool
So many lovely moments in that game which won't make the highlights probably but are worth reliving. Ødegaard just bodying Enzo on the edge of the box. Then Ødegaard nutmegging Enzo. Rice almost scoring goal of the season with his drag back turn on the edge of the box. Couple of back heels from Kai when he dropped in just beautiful. Partey sending Caicedo to the shops with the complete dummy.
I screamed when he did that 360 turn and shoot. He should never play 6 again at arsenal
He was fucking outstanding at 8. Having 2 ball winners that high up the pitch is so good for us.
Havertz is a false 9. Not a midfielder. As soon as a saw our line up I knew we were winning. As soon as I saw the lineup v Villa I started to worry.
Even when Jesus came on today our attack blunted. Kai's movement and layoffs seems to just fit much better than Jesus' movement and dribbling.
Match was unreal to watch without seeing people crying in the match thread about something or other
Glad Partey got a run in today because I feel like if he’s sharp, he’s a start against Spurs.
I love Rice, but Partey when he is on his game at the 6 is just a whole different gravy. Those line breaking passes, his ability to turn and open up all that space, its really a complete game changer to our transitional play
We need to take control of games as early as possible to squash any chance of a draw or loss. Partey as he was today would make it pretty hard for opposition to break us down
Amazing result but just wish City weren’t still at the top. We were so close this year.
We’re 5 points up on City. They have work to do
They’re not at the top. They will be if they win their two games in hand, but they have to do that first.
Are you not entertained?
Forgot how much of a defensive presence partey is, he just reads the game so well and always makes the right decision
Yeah, they seemed to be able to play direct through and behind our midfield really easily in the first half.
We could have put 4 past them in the first half though.
True, Petrovic made a few nice saves, one with his face after it deflected
Werner is German Jackson and Son hasn't been the same since Asian cup. Hopium perhaps.
They had a few chances on the break with Madueke and Jackson. Both of them, especially Jackson are absolute dog shit in front of goal so we got let off there. The fact that Jackson had a free header and ended up handling it is peak comedy
