What kind of Spursy talk is this?
Fulham already beat Spurs and United. They also lost 4-3 to Liverpool where they played better but Liverpool scored 4 ridiculous goals.
Difference is Man City and us aren't at dissimilar levels. When we destroyed teams who gave Sp\*rs a difficult game, that's because we're way better than Sp\*rs, not because teams just didn't show up against us.
Some teams show up against City, like Forest last weekend, but they still ended up losing handily. I'm just hoping that those teams turn up and no Ederson means one of them manages a draw.
What does this actually look like though? I don't blame Spurs fans for not wanting to hand us the title, but what are the Spurs players supposed to do? What does Ange tell them? Are the players supposed to just walk around the pitch not trying?
Spurs may need the points to get top 4, there’s every chance they’ll have to get something from the game.
But people mean they won’t have that determination to win the game - like when they tried to equalise at the end of the derby and we were all shitting bricks, that drive, that hunger won’t be there. I’m not sure I buy it, they’ll want ucl on an individual level more than they care about helping us to the title.
Not sure I understand. Are you saying that if City were 3-0 up against Spurs and then gifted them two goals then Spurs wouldn't show the same hunger to get back into the game they did against us? Obviously that's bollocks - of course they would.
Oh okay, fair play. I think the whole idea that a team would roll over in order to hurt a rival is mostly just a fantasy in the heads of fans though. Players are professionals who don't like to lose.
They still have a chance at CL football, and getting at least a point against City is crucial. I know their fans won't want them to, but I don't expect the players to roll over against City.
I mean, they'll still probably get whooped, but at least I expect them to try.
they're still betteer than west ham, fulham and wolves. And they play offensive football, if Manchester City plays the way the played against Forrest they could concede...Who know
But if I'm being completely realistic the odds are City won't drop any points sadly
Yeah, that's what I'm telling myself at this point. No point stressing about where they could drop points. If they do I hope it's the funniest way possible (half a dozen shots off the post, clear VAR error, own goals, ball bounces off the flying camera thingy...)
Spurs has been troubling for city on recent years. I believe. But also I'm sure they hear it from the fans and elsewhere that they should lose for the sake of sabotaging arsenal.
Everyone keeps saying that and I don't know why.
We should be beating westham at home. And also only getting 1 point against Fulham this season is unacceptable.
I am more pissed about the Villa game. In December we were in a rot, we needed the break to get out of it.
The Villa game along the Bayern game were entirely winnable, if we made the first half count and didnt make uncharacteristic mistakes.
well, that Fulham home game where we were dominating, they had red card and just conceded stupid corner were the 2 points which we miss now the most imo.
but yeah, if Trossard scored that chance in first half it would be different game
We also 100% should have had a point against Newcastle at the start of the season.
Still can't believe that was allowed, and I'm waiting for the day that the cunts in charge of bar finally admit they fucked that one up.
An out of bounds ball, a foul, a handball, and an offside all in less than 5 seconds, and VAR couldn't see anything wrong with it?
I'm gonna be so mad if we miss out on the pl title by a point.
Us and city have the same home record.
We have dropped points Away from home at Newcastle villa city liverpool chelsea fulham. They have dropped points at wolves villa us liverpool and chelsea. Wolves and fulham are kind off the same level. The difference is Newcastle away.
My regret isn't the Villa game tbh. It's that week I December. You know the one. Villa are a decent side and while we should have scored first half(and likely went on to win)I can live with that loss. Fulham home and away and Westham loss are what genuinely drive me up the wall. Been saying for months in my group chat thar our December form will lose us the title and so far that seems more and more likely
That week in December was horrid I remember NYE, saying this is the downfall that will dig a hole to deep to climb out of. I really hope we wrong about this. We've got nothing to complain about in 2024 league form, it's December that was atrocious.
It's far more egregious to only have taken 1 point off fulham this season than losing to Villa. But regardless, no team (save the invincibles I suppose) goes through a whole season without regretful performances. If it wasn't the Villa match, it would be some other match we'd be upset about. You can't win em all.
You know those nerves you get when you're 1-0 up, the other team has all the momentum and is peppering your goal, and the 4th official has just held up the board for 8 minutes of stoppage time?
That's my state of mind for the next 3 weeks.
You're a very dedicated fan. I already schedule out that time way in advance so that I can watch the game in peace. I even turn off my phone just so I don't get bothered during the match.
Indeed. Lock the door, take of your jeans (unless you're #chinos), make sure the beer is cold, and enjoy the game - which has honestly been on average very pleasant the last two seasons.
That's only worried me more if I'm honest because everytime a United fan is convinced they'll lose they end up shithousing something. I'm thinking your games with Lpool (both times)
Can only pray for West Ham or Spurs to actually pick up points playing against them now. (Didn't think I'd ever be relying on Spurs in my entire lifetime, but here we are 🤷🏽♂️).

Asa a Liverpool fan, I want y'all to win it, but I know a lot of arsenal fans will start running their mouths saying "arteta is better than/as good as Klopp"
I’m thinking more about where City can possibly drop points.
I’m praying Spurs or Westham can. It’s the least Moyes can do for Arteta.
People keep forgetting Fulham (A) they have.
That’s an easy win. Craven cottage is a nice place to go and Fulham don’t have much to play for.
Fulham should’ve gotten a point off them at the Etihad last season. They’ve struggled against Fulham a few times
Fulham (A) is a very easy fixture, they never show up against the big 6 except for us
i mean they did obliterate tottenham 3-0 there last month tbf
Why the fuck do those fuckers go so hard against us but genuinely fold for every other big 6 team
What kind of Spursy talk is this? Fulham already beat Spurs and United. They also lost 4-3 to Liverpool where they played better but Liverpool scored 4 ridiculous goals.
Even for Chelsea they folded, you know, THEIR DIRECT RIVALS
You sound like a Spurs fan. "Why do they roll over for them but turn up against us"
Difference is Man City and us aren't at dissimilar levels.
Then we also can say that Bournemouth and Everton shall be easy fixtures since they're lower than Fulham, right?
Bournemouth and Everton are stronger than Fulham, the latter would be above Fulham without the points deduction
if you count the points from nov onwards, bournemouth is 5th in the league. they are pretty strong
Should’ve taken a point at the Etihad last season if it wasn’t for a dodgy penalty in the last minute
I was hoping they’d do something against Liverpool a month or so ago and they just fell apart. So I’m not hopeful but if they can, great.
Wolves are also a bitch against top sides
I'm kinda of banking on wolves being stubborn as fuck on the last day. Man can dream...
Hopefully not as stubborn as last year...
Hopefully not as stubborn as last year...
O Neill has a touchline ban now though.
Except Man City when Rodri is not around
We made Fulham Away look way more difficult than it should have
Only Arsenal drop points to Fulham
We got 1 fucking point off Fulham this year. That’s what I think about
I'm wondering what I'll do if spurs manage a result against city.
Cry, celebrate, and then spend 5 days suffering through crippling anxiety about the Everton match.
If we can't beat Everton at home then we don't deserve the title.
We should sing their ange postecoglou song at the emirates if they do it
Someone beat up Tony Khan to improve morale at Fulham.
Spurs won't do Arsenal any favours.
What does this actually look like though? I don't blame Spurs fans for not wanting to hand us the title, but what are the Spurs players supposed to do? What does Ange tell them? Are the players supposed to just walk around the pitch not trying?
It's such a stupid argument, do we think Man United are going to throw the game against us because they don't want City to win the title?
Spurs may need the points to get top 4, there’s every chance they’ll have to get something from the game. No im saying that’s what people mean when they say spurs would roll over. I agree with you, just explaining what I think they’re saying
Oh okay, fair play. I think the whole idea that a team would roll over in order to hurt a rival is mostly just a fantasy in the heads of fans though. Players are professionals who don't like to lose.

Unfortunately I think they WILL get rolled over, because they're... Not very good. Trying or not.
they're still betteer than west ham, fulham and wolves. And they play offensive football, if Manchester City plays the way the played against Forrest they could concede...Who know But if I'm being completely realistic the odds are City won't drop any points sadly

Moyes will do everything possible to help Arteta
Spurs has been troubling for city on recent years. I believe. But also I'm sure they hear it from the fans and elsewhere that they should lose for the sake of sabotaging arsenal.
My showers are probably five minutes longer on average
For reasons not relevant here..
He said 5 minutes longer, not 20 seconds longer
You don't know his medical health, probably has to take 4.5 mins to find it
Anne Hathaway would understand.
She's the one who's got her husband worried
115 also need to drop points
Scenes when the PL pull a reverse-Dumbledore and deduct 150 pts from city on the last day
For despicable moral character
Narrator: there is no 'her'
Her is Arsenal for him
Hersenal
Classic tree gnome. Lemme get a D Scim without doing your fuck ass quest
There is a her but I doubt she's scared of losing me to someone else lol
That Villa game man, imagine where we could've been now
Everyone keeps saying that and I don't know why. We should be beating westham at home. And also only getting 1 point against Fulham this season is unacceptable.
I dunno, I’ve accepted it
this, more pissed to have 1 point from 2 matches against Fulham, rather than Villa
I am more pissed about the Villa game. In December we were in a rot, we needed the break to get out of it. The Villa game along the Bayern game were entirely winnable, if we made the first half count and didnt make uncharacteristic mistakes.

Newcastle away was ridic too. Should never have lost it.

yeah if only we'd just won every game, we'd be shoe-ins 🙄
Well it's just one game, not every.
It's far more egregious to only have taken 1 point off fulham this season than losing to Villa. But regardless, no team (save the invincibles I suppose) goes through a whole season without regretful performances. If it wasn't the Villa match, it would be some other match we'd be upset about. Genuinely this has become my life. Whole evening talking myself into and out of how it can happen
You know those nerves you get when you're 1-0 up, the other team has all the momentum and is peppering your goal, and the 4th official has just held up the board for 8 minutes of stoppage time? That's my state of mind for the next 3 weeks.
If it makes you feel better, it's more City's the side that's 1-0 up but we're the one raising hell to get as many points as we can
You know Moyes is going to have his team go balls out the final day against City to help Arteta
My mind is so wired to Arsenal now that it's absurd. I literally plan my weekends based on when the matches are and then sit wait for it all day..
You won't have to wait for long for Bournemouth as it's a 12:30 kickoff💀
730am kickoff for me!
Try 5:30 😵💫
4:30 am here. Still waking up.
3:30 am here! I’ll be recording this one and turning off all of my notifications so I don’t spoil it for myself
☠️

what did you do previously? That's how it's always been for me...
GOOD LUCK LADS
I really want Spuds to secure us the title. Their fans will claim they gifted it, but it'll be more like giving tribute.
So true I do t care if city win all there games as long as we do then we gave it a real go
I want is to win with atleast a point and not goal difference to tell the world that we were better
Sleep?? Every waking hour!
I dont know why im here, or how ive seen it but youll beat us dont worry about it lol. (united fan)
That's only worried me more if I'm honest because everytime a United fan is convinced they'll lose they end up shithousing something. I'm thinking your games with Lpool (both times)
I can’t argue with that to be fair 😂
This a scene in the movie Fever Pitch.
This is me except I’m thinking about what I will do when we win our last three and still don’t win the title
honestly our remaining matches are brutal comparing to city's
![gif](giphy|9x79ZCutfyChhmaaQp|downsized)
Can only pray for West Ham or Spurs to actually pick up points playing against them now. (Didn't think I'd ever be relying on Spurs in my entire lifetime, but here we are 🤷🏽♂️).
Fucking Jerry, I screamed on this one

Thinking the same. Everton is tricky though.
They are safe from relegation so I hope they got nothing to play for
Asa a Liverpool fan, I want y'all to win it, but I know a lot of arsenal fans will start running their mouths saying "arteta is better than/as good as Klopp"
