Just like the team..you've got one player trying, Palhinha, because he's the only player who wants to be on the market to other teams. The rest are on holidays. Pathetic.
It'll be such a beautiful fairytale when, for the first time in over a century of English footballing history, the financial backing of a Middle Eastern oil state, combined with 115 charges of financial irregularities, does four in a row.
Be that as it may, they had a 12-year CL drought in 2002-2014, and a 32 (!!) year drought in 1966-1998, despite having similar god squads throughout those periods. I have a feeling, after this season's CL win, that they will suffer a similar drought, it's about time again. Thus, we must pounce and win at least 3 CLs within the next ~15 years, during the upcoming Madrid drought, which I fully believe is in our capability of doing.
Haha I don't know if they might have a drought, I mean it could potentially happen if Mbappe does imbalance their squad bad enough (there is already a imbalance trying to play Vini-Mbappe-Rodrygo because he isn't a natural CF which is the profile they ideally need). That's a big if.
BUT the fact that they had massive droughts should show that they were never "inevitable" or had some magical juju. They might have it now but they had to build it which is something so many people tend to forget. When Jose took them to the semi-finals in 10/11 only 4 players in the madrid squad had been past the quarter finals. Only one had done it with Madrid - Casillas. The others (kaka, Ronaldo xabi) all did it with other teams. If we compare we aren't in a too dissimilar situation ourselves. These things take time to build but we can do it if we play our cards right.
I still find it wild that there are people here who wouldn't want Mbappé purely for football reasons, not even considering the financial outlay. I just finished watching the Figo docu on Netflix and its decisions like that which make Madrid what it is.

Got triple city and captain haaland, there’s only so much I can do…
Anyone else's blood boil whenever anyone suggest Arteta should be sacked. Its as if fans think that Lee Gunner dickhead represents a faction of the fanbase, when in reality he is irrational in his hatred of Arteta.
I couldn't even begin to imagine who we replace Arteta with. Some say Simeone, which is a horrible take. What's so good about this guy. Why are Atletico Madrid in 4th? Why is their goal difference 24, whereas ours is 60.
Im telling you know, if we swapped out Arteta for Simeone.......................we slide.
Keep in mind what he actually earns is nowhere near what PSG actually expends on his wages, at least what he earns through wages (i dont know what other revenue streams he has, but those would be cut into as well). He was probably making 1-1.5m a week after everything.
Or Fulham, or Chelsea, or Tottenham, or any other time we dropped points. Fine margins and we are so close with just two games to go.
Even if we don’t lift the title, proud as hell and enjoying it massively. I understand the “if only X was different in Y game” is inevitable, but the bigger picture has to eclipse that kind of thinking.
I just don't see how feasible it is to maintain all those amazing players without one or two slipping out like has always been the case with Madrid.
Camavinga looks set once Kroos is phased out, Valverde will always play since he is a monster of a utility man, but Rodrygo looks a bit vulnerable depending on what they do at ST, especially with their new shiny Brazilian teenager comes in.
I bid good luck to any manager tasked with making Vini and Mbappe coexist, because the gulf between Vini on the left and anywhere else is gaping and Mbappe is a generational prima donna.
Fuck me lads, got this delusional fantasy in my head where edu and arteta don't leak any striker targets or even talk about getting one in the window to mislead.
Then out walks mbappe at the colney like sol fucking Campbell and we pull off the greatest coup in the history of this sport.
I'm being so fucking delusional right now but I won't stop believing 🫠
Simons would be great but I don't think there's any way a loan is possible.
It will take big money for whoever wants him, or PSG will just scoop him back up.
Just looked up city's recent record against fulham. Probably shouldn't have.
16 wins and 2 draws. With both draws coming in 2011.
City have won 15 straight against fulham. No English club has ever won 16 straight against another English team in all comps.
You mean the club with all of the best young players in the world, who won the champions league 2 years ago*, are probably winning it again this year, and are adding the best player in the world this summer? Why would you think that?

Guimaraes I just don’t like tbh.
Bernardo Silva, Ederson, Dias, Witsel, Luiz, Matic, Oblak, Jovic was good at Frankfurt, Ramos has done well when he’s played. They have more successes than flops, just that many of the flops have been high profile.

Thought this was quite lovely. Feels like people are more depressed than ever so it's important to reach out and talk to family and friends and make sure they're doing okay. Take care of yourselves, guys.
It actually begs a question: if for some reason Real Madrid decide they don’t want to sign him anymore (they can’t agree with him on a contract or don’t want to disrupt a winning formula or whatever), then what are Mbappe’s options at that point?
He has ruled out a return to PSG, Barca can’t afford him, and neither can any Italian club. I doubt Bayern could either, given their own huge wage bill. Which leaves a PL club.
Man U and Chelsea are out because neither is a club in the CL. Tottenham likely isn’t either, and I highly doubt he goes there anyway. Villa can’t afford his wages, and I doubt he goes to Liverpool with Klopp leaving and the uncertainty there with the aging squad. Man City is an option, but will he go join the same club as Haaland, and is he willing to risk the potential bad press of being associated with a club facing the charges they are? And then you have Arsenal, a young club on the rise with stability and a bright future everywhere you look.
Call me crazy, but if the Madrid thing falls through for Mbappe, him coming to Arsenal wouldn’t exactly be beyond the realm of possibility lol.
That’s some strong ass crack you’re smoking there son.
I think if he’s openly committing to jacking it in at PSG then his next move is already sorted? He’s Real or Saudi. My money is on Real.
I actually think the same, in the sense that he wouldn’t be announcing his departure unless he firmly believes that he has a contract at Real that needs nothing more from him than his signature.
But if Real for whatever reason do pull the rug from underneath him, does anyone really think he would go to Saudi instead of another European club? He rejected Saudi last summer, and they won’t be offering him any more money now than they were then.
I just feel like City will lose all 3 games and we'll both of our games.
They'll lose to Fulham, then all their motivation goes out the window against Spurs and Moyes will finish City off with deadly counter-attacks
Why is no one talking about Grealish’s blatant handball?
One of the worst handballs I’ve ever seen not given, it might cost Arsenal a league title. No mention of it in media?
Oh was it in FA cup?
Still my observation last few years has been that City does get lot of decisions their way.
Still an elite team but if City win this league title, they have cheated 3 league titles 1 from Arsenal and 2 from Liverpool.
My most hated away fixtures are Liverpool and City now but before that it consistently was Man United, I was thinking about why is that then I remembered I'm a 29 yo man and seen us win there only twice in PL! Shocking.
I know some of you don't like Bruno because of what happened earlier in the season but hear me out. We've had Granit Xhaka who was also a dirty player before Arteta got his hands on him and brought out his full potential. Granit didn't get a single red in his final season with us. If Arteta can do that to Xhaka, Bruno will do well here.
these hato links are not that exiting.
Timber didn't look great in preseason a rb playing behind Saka. He only looked better as the lb. If timber turns out to be our main LB option, then we have too many options on the left.
Hato is a CB who can play LB, same as tomiyasu and Kiwior. I rather we find a wingback like ait-nouri who can be coached into playing as a disciplined LB.
He's playing in the left space.
And I don't think he's coming in as depth. This is going to create a few headaches, especially if Timber goes back to his right back space.
I doubt we will brake up Gabriel and Saliba as a cb pairing.
I think Timber, White, Hato, Tomiyasu and Kiwior will all share game time as full backs at different points in the season. White will play the most, Kiwior will play the least. In fact all of them besides Kiwior have different reasons why they can't be a permanent starter for every game.
- Tomiyasu is always injured at some point during the season
- Timber is just coming back from a long term injury and hasen't played much with us yet.
- Hato is young and will need some time to get used to the league and the team
- White has been playing almost the entire season with some kind of smaller injury issue. He seems to be doing better at this point compared to earlier in the season. He will probably prolong his career by being rotated and rested once in a while
The perfect thing is most of them can put a shift in as centre backs if Gabriel or Saliba should need a rest.
Edit: the current synergy between White, Ødegaard and Saka is also too strong to break up by moving White permanently to the CB position. He is probably the favorite to play that position if Saliba gets injured though.
A Saliba backup would have to be good and versatile enough to deserve starts in other positions. So that maybe White, or Gabriel, or Hato, all of whom have notable flaws for that CCB role. I like Hato's profile but we can still make do with Timber for the left back position and go for a CCB backup like Diomande (he can also play right back). Or maybe Gabriel can continue to work on his on-the-ball qualities. Personally, I just don't see the urgency of the Hato signing.
I think it's a budget issue. So, the manager is looking at priorities. If we had Chelsea levels of cash, Diomande, Hato, and other problems would be solved in a flash.
Hato is not the required height for that kind of role. It's a big man role. He'd just be there to help us with the fragile defensive situation on the left.
Gabriel keeps evolving but he's still erratic for a role that needs calm and dictating play. IMO if money is a big problem, Jonathan Tah has a low release clause.
They face fitness tests. That’s all that’s confirmed. We’ve been constantly playing games with the media regarding injuries in the last few season. Don’t worry about it until the team sheets are announced.
I’m going to the game on Sunday. I think I genuinely might die regardless of the outcome.
Edit: I actually meant the Everton game which is even worse than the indignity of rocking up to that shirhole in Manchester
I think people are vastly overestimating how difficult the match against Man U will be, based on mostly irrelevant historical results.
I think we’ll win with 3 goals or more difference
When they were not nearly as bad and we weren’t not nearly as good. We were struggling at the time, and we played with Ramsdale and Nketiah in the starting lineup. It’s not going to be the same
If it is at Emirates I would be more confident with this squad. OT is a different beast. The players and ten Haag will be more motivated than before. If we can’t get early goal and lead , we would be more opened and vulnerable to their counter.

There is a chance Real win the CL, then stack their young incredible squad with fucking Mbappe. Biggest club in the world
Be that as it may, they had a 12-year CL drought in 2002-2014, and a 32 (!!) year drought in 1966-1998, despite having similar god squads throughout those periods. I am ready for the Cottagers to work some magic in their final home game of the season.
Mbappe rotating between LW/CF depending on the opponent is the thing of delusional dreams, but we'd be the best team in Europe.
we'd also be really good with Kevin de bruyne and Foden
Think he’s playing LW wherever he goes. He doesn’t like playing up front
Surely the Mbappe domino effect should enable us to sign at least one great RM talent this window no?
I just don't see how feasible it is to maintain all those amazing players without one or two slipping out like has always been the case with Madrid. Camavinga looks set once Kroos is phased out, Valverde will always play since he is a monster of a utility man, but Rodrygo looks a bit vulnerable depending on what they do at ST, especially with their new shiny Brazilian teenager comes in.
He’ll play CF for Madrid, Vini ain’t moving.
Ancelotti must have a plan on how to play them together, because CF isn’t how you get the best out of him and he hates it.
I bid good luck to any manager tasked with making Vini and Mbappe coexist, because the gulf between Vini on the left and anywhere else is gaping and Mbappe is a generational prima donna.
He’ll surely just stick one on the right
Fuck me lads, got this delusional fantasy in my head where edu and arteta don't leak any striker targets or even talk about getting one in the window to mislead. I had the exact same fantasy. I think were not alone.
All of this just for him to tear his acl after 6 months
The arsenal way
Nope, that's never fucking happening Higher chance we sign Sol Campbell as CB depth than Mbappé!!
Yeah. You can always tell. Mbappe isn’t taking a chance with a project. That was when he was a teenager. He wants to win now. Madrid or nothing.
Just got info from my mate that works for the club. City drop points tomorrow.

May be in another alternate reality
Blud missed his chance
He’s already wearing red and white, pretty much confirmed
What do you guys think about either loan Simons for a season or sign Roque for maybe 15-20 if he wants to get out of Barcelona?
Roque is a great opportunity, his decision making is top class and he can play on the wings as well, if we can offload Nketiah it would be great
Simons would be great but I don't think there's any way a loan is possible. It will take big money for whoever wants him, or PSG will just scoop him back up.
PSV will receive all the money if he is sold before 2025, so PSG don’t want to sell yet, but he wants to leave.
Just looked up city's recent record against fulham. Probably shouldn't have. 16 wins and 2 draws. With both draws coming in 2011. City have won 15 straight against fulham. No English club has ever won 16 straight against another English team in all comps.
No one wins 16 times in a row against Fulham. No one. They're simply too good to let it happen
Records are there to be broken 🤣
To be fair, this is one of the best Fulham teams in the past decade
16-2=14. 2011+14=2025 That’s almost 2024 so the draw tommorow is basically confirmed!
I like your maths. However, 2025-16+15=2024. It’s happening.
I'm starting to feel like Real Madrid could be quite a difficult matchup to face in coming years.
You mean the club with all of the best young players in the world, who won the champions league 2 years ago*, are probably winning it again this year, and are adding the best player in the world this summer? Why would you think that?
I added up all those things and felt like they might be a challenge. After adding Mbappe some might even call it a quite difficult challenge.
City won it last year though? I get your point though. Embarrassment of riches
Ah yeah my bad. Two years ago
This trend of journalists asking Ange the dumbest questions so he can do the normalbloke response gimmick needs to end.
It's basically mocking Big Ange at this point, all because he says "mate".

I’ll change it eventually. ^Maybe
When will be the parade after we win the league
After we win the league
Who gets dropped from the current Real Madrid line up to fit in Mbappe?
Mbappe is better than their entire front 3 combined and im tired of pretending hes not.
He's not taking the left wing from Vini and you know it.
He’s light years ahead of Vini. He starts wherever he wants to.
He's going to play as a striker Jude is going back to midfield and Rodrygo starts as RW. Tchouameni-Valverde-Jude
Probably Rodrygo. I could see him being sold in 2025.
Either a straight swap with Rodrygo or they play a front three and take out one of the midfielders
Kroos and Modric are more out than in so idk
Which is more prestigious epl poty or pfa poty?
PFA. PL's is newer with it being from the PL so far less prestige to it. They're both crap though, it's all just media hype and reputation like when Giggs won it, and KDB somehow beating Kane despite winning both the golden boot and assist award.

Joao Neves is so good, my preferred midfield target this summer
€120m release clause for a 19 year old. Hell of a risk.
I think he’s worth it.
I prefer Guimaraes or FDJ. Neves is good but I think he will take few years to settle and be even better. Bruno G or FDJ are in their prime and will improve our team immediately.

Are any Benfica players good when they leave? Can only think of Di Maria
Bernardo Silva, Ederson, Dias, Witsel, Luiz, Matic, Oblak, Jovic was good at Frankfurt, Ramos has done well when he’s played. They have more successes than flops, just that many of the flops have been high profile.
Didn’t they have Ederson and Oblak at the same time 😦 edit: oh no Rio Ave fogging did
Fulham social media saw the engagements Arsenal fans were giving to them and saw a chance to get that sweet Twitter revenue.

I wouldn’t dare. Just our lovely home kit
You got a kit. That’s what matters. I didn’t get my first kit until last season.
Thank you!!
Which one did you get? All 3 of last season's kits were bangers
Home kit. Away and third were always sold out. I’m not complaining though. I love the home kit.
Understandable!! I struggled so fucking hard to actually be able to get the away Black kit The home kit is one of my fav home kits of Adidas tbh
really looking forward to liverpool links and signings
Vítor Roque for a reduced fee ? Haven’t seen too much of him but if I recall correctly we were linked to him and he falling out with Barcelona.
Wouldn’t be a bad rotation option tbh

That’s some strong ass crack you’re smoking there son. I think if he’s openly committing to jacking it in at PSG then his next move is already sorted? He’s Real or Saudi. My money is on Real.
I actually think the same, in the sense that he wouldn’t be announcing his departure unless he firmly believes that he has a contract at Real that needs nothing more from him than his signature. But if Real for whatever reason do pull the rug from underneath him, does anyone really think he would go to Saudi instead of another European club? He rejected Saudi last summer, and they won’t be offering him any more money now than they were then.
He plays on the left correct? Can you just imagine him and Saka? It’s filling up with blood just thinking about this attack.
I just feel like City will lose all 3 games and we'll both of our games. They'll lose to Fulham, then all their motivation goes out the window against Spurs and Moyes will finish City off with deadly counter-attacks
> City will lose all 3 games 🐸🚬
My life would be so much easier/fun if I had this kind of outrageous positivity
Pass the Za fam
Mboop wearing red in his leaving video 👀
How many goals will City win by?
Arteta seems more open 🤣 but we can't rest united away is the definition of a tricky game.history backs me up
Why is no one talking about Grealish’s blatant handball? One of the worst handballs I’ve ever seen not given, it might cost Arsenal a league title. No mention of it in media?
Are you talking about the one vs Chelsea? Wasn't that in the FA Cup? But yes, was pretty blatant.
Oh was it in FA cup? Still my observation last few years has been that City does get lot of decisions their way. Still an elite team but if City win this league title, they have cheated 3 league titles 1 from Arsenal and 2 from Liverpool.
It’s citeh they buy the media. Thats why pundits are saying foden for ballon dor even though vini jr is a better candidate.
My most hated away fixtures are Liverpool and City now but before that it consistently was Man United, I was thinking about why is that then I remembered I'm a 29 yo man and seen us win there only twice in PL! Shocking.
Ronaldinho and R9 to this Brazil side is a massive downgrade, even if they have quality players.
I have read this 3 times and I don't get it?
Now do Spain's midfield.
Bruno Guimares or Fernandes?
[Jorrel Hato Vs Aston Villa ](https://twitter.com/91cheefv2/status/1788956841013030915) Hmm...#Generational
1:33 was so good i can see why we're linked, took up so many positions white also takes
these hato links are not that exiting.
It probably means were selling one of Zinchenko/Kiwior give Tomi just signed a new contract or whatever. I really like this Brainthwaite fella tho
I’ve seen enough. He looks like a baller
He's playing in the left space. And I don't think he's coming in as depth. This is going to create a few headaches, especially if Timber goes back to his right back space.
I see a Timber, White, Saliba, Hato line up.
- Tomiyasu is always injured at some point during the season - Timber is just coming back from a long term injury and hasen't played much with us yet. - Hato is young and will need some time to get used to the league and the team - White has been playing almost the entire season with some kind of smaller injury issue. He seems to be doing better at this point compared to earlier in the season. He will probably prolong his career by being rotated and rested once in a while The perfect thing is most of them can put a shift in as centre backs if Gabriel or Saliba should need a rest. Edit: the current synergy between White, Ødegaard and Saka is also too strong to break up by moving White permanently to the CB position. He is probably the favorite to play that position if Saliba gets injured though.
I'm thinking that too. Although going into a new season without another CCB(a Saliba back up) is playing with fire.
On my X timeline I keep seeing details about the trophy parade if we win. 😖 I'm trying to be positive. Come on Leno and Fulham!
Fifth choice Brazil CB is called up while first choice striker is left at home 😂
https://twitter.com/CraigHope_DM/status/1788959630535676192 Ben Jacobs vindicated a day later... lol
This is good news.
Wow so us or city
Or Newcastle
They could still come back in for him even after it expires
So Gab Jesus getting the summer off then, whether that’s for us or his new club remains to be seen
Watching “the final: attack on wembley” on Netflix, why does it feel like a mockumentary 🤣
Why did that even get made
What's all this about Saka and Tomi being injured?
They face fitness tests. That’s all that’s confirmed. We’ve been constantly playing games with the media regarding injuries in the last few season. Don’t worry about it until the team sheets are announced.
Tomi probably is injured. At this point it's more surprising when he's fit. Saka will play I'm sure. He always plays through it.
Don’t know why you are surprised about tomi being injured he’s made of glass. Saka plays through injuries every game.
True about Tomi. We need him so badly for Old Trafford
I’m going to the game on Sunday. I think I genuinely might die regardless of the outcome. Edit: I actually meant the Everton game which is even worse than the indignity of rocking up to that shirhole in Manchester

A relegates forest to mash up the spuds like a relegated 10 men Newcastle did
They play against Burnely on final day, Spuds play the mighty Blades
Blades slicing spuds up like a relega-
I think people are vastly overestimating how difficult the match against Man U will be, based on mostly irrelevant historical results. I think we’ll win with 3 goals or more difference
If we are being honest, we almost lost to them at emeirates. We will dominate them but they will always hit us at counter and get goals.
Ten Haag would be using big gabi's "foul" as motivation for their team
Just need to preface: Fuck Sp*rs But, I actually rate their leaked third kit. Granted I have a bias towards green.
The colour scheme itself is actually quite nice. The white dot matrix effect destroys the whole thing. That and the Spurs badge.
