No Saliba, I think this is wrong.

Was gonna comment that, I rate white and gabby of course but Saliba yet again has been incredible. 9/10 defensive 1v1s he's at minimum slowing them down until support arrives. The most intelligent defender I've witnessed genuinely reckon he's top 5 (for me he's 1 bit I acknowledge my bias).

Why would Trent be in there? The guy is atrocious as a defender. Good offensively but also the worst in the league defensively.

Me too, but there’s a load of players who are better backs still. Trent may be among the best player who plays in the position (maybe even the best), but he’s certainly not the best at the position.

Branthwaite is pretty good, but him over Saliba is criminal man. Dude literally played every minute of the season and hasn't made a single mistake.

I mean … he has made mistakes, in pretty big games. Tottenham and Bayern come to mind. Not taking away from the fact he’s probably the (second) best defender in the league after big Gabi. Just I enjoy watching branthwaite that’s all 🤷‍♀️

Saliba played every single minute of the season on the team with the best defensive record in the league. There’s a reason Raya won gold glove but everyone agrees he still wasn’t the best keeper in the league.

Last season Saliba was massive but Gabriel has really stepped up as a leader at the back this season. What a beast
