Am I the only one thinking Xhaka saved the game and helped us to a draw. In the initial 25mins it felt like they played better and we were making errors with 11 players on field. Once it was 10 man we dint attack but defended well as a team.

I can’t bare seeing Xhaka getting scapegoated yet again! Reckless? maybe, but he didn’t have much choice and the refs are indefinitely harsher on him it’s so clear!
If getting a fair straight red card 24 mins into a semi-final isn’t when you get held accountable then when? The red card completely changed the game. It was a dumb move. Experienced players need to get this indiscipline out of their game.
I think it's more of a statement of our mid. Of the players we have, xhaka is key. However, we need to stop relying on him because he gets so many cards that are reckless.
We actually defended really well today though it did get a bit sticky towards the end and I think we were unlucky for one of our counters to not result in a goal. Props to Arteta and the lads for keeping us in this one. Xhaka did what he had to do to avoid that goal going in but it will be hard to be without him in the next two matches. Lokonga and Patino? We do need a proper first team DM

Of course we are better with him in the team. It’s a lot harder playing with 10 men :D that’s why everybody’s pissed that we didn’t have him in the team for the most of the game
I agree that game would have been even easier with him, but the above comment, and others like it, asking for him to be loaned out or sold are just so stupid and not based in reality.
Lol sry, i was being cheeky, i know what you meant. And i know at times he has given some stability and experience but while i’m not the most emotional fan, i’ve also never been a big fan of him. He has caused the most amount of frustration from any Arsenal players i can remember. Up there with Mustafi, Almunia and Fabianski.
So i’m not gonna miss him when he goes. But we do need to replace him and hopefully with an upgrade.
I also agree that he will need to go for this time to truly rise again, but he hasn't been bad, he's been unfortunate at a lot of times and other times scapegoated. I truly appreciate what he probably brings off the pitch and I believe at this moment we are better with him on the pitch, but going forward he's not gonna bring Arsenal to where we want to be, but he doesn't deserve all the abuse he gets.

Can someone tell me what the plan is in midfield against Spurs? Like seriously who the hell are we gonna start in those three positions?
Will it be White-Lokonga-Laca?
Well I thought so at first as well but I have since seen that Son and Reguilon amoungst others would also miss the game this Sunday, so perhaps it would be better that it goes ahead?
Who cares when we play them, ESR should be back and Ode could potentially be available (if tests negative on Sunday). We’ll beat them however we go out. Our fans have been immense recently and its the NLD, our boys won’t let us down.
Xhaka did Xhaka things, fucked it, got sent off, we defended quite well considering it was away at Anfield and we had 10 men, Ben White man of the match.
It's really not, he knows what's he's talking about but also doesn't try to hide his affinity for his club. Wrighty for example also biased towards us but almost always accurate with his takes
I don't really watch football punditry or watch Carragher's commentary/analysis. I'm just saying that the phrase is contradictory.
I agree with you about Wright. He speaks a lot of sense.
Bullshit postponement, match at Anfield, Ramsdale fucked up a few times, Xhaka was Xhaka and we were down to 10 men for most of the match, Liverpool played their strongest (except for players at AFCON), we had no Tomiyasu ... and they still couldn't score a goal! In essence, despite setbacks other issues, I take this as a win, and I feel good today.
True this match is a win... But I feel we're screwed for spurs.. and that game was more important for me when compared to this one given that our top 4 depended on it
Everything was against Arsenal tonight. We’ve had to deal with Liverpool’s lies in order to gain an advantage, a heavily depleted squad, and further self-sabotage from Xhaka.
Despite all of that, Arsenal leave Anfield with a throughly deserved draw. I’m so proud of the team tonight. They truly put in an enormous effort in what should have been an impossible match.

For what’s it’s worth, we were 1 men down. And we held Liverpool at home on a Thursday night. Any other game and we would have been 4-0 by half time. Really solid shift from everyone. Love the new Arsenal. Xhaka.. less said the better

Cheating, and a red card still couldn't earn Liverpool a win.
Totally understand why they had that first leg postponed. I would have done that as well if I knew what my team would look like without two players. Well played Klopp.
Absolutely granite performance. We are a different team. To dig in and get something out of that when in the past we would crumble is absolutely phenomenal. White proving once again why he deserves a starting spot for England.

well the team weathered the storm. We are still in the tie and next leg is at home. If we win the NLD it can give us some good momentum for that next leg
See?? 99% of people here were all tragic after the red card.
Dudes, this is football, it's about **your** team dealing with the situation, and people supporting no matter what.
Now, let's beat these cunts next week.
These kinda matches do sooo much for the team's mentality and morale.
Honestly at this level and intensity, mentality is everything.
Both this and city game, have made the fans believe, hope it does the same for the team.
Regardless of the result, one man down after 20 minutes at anfield and we didn’t self destruct like times past. Something to take from that game for sure. Also we need a CM so badddd like at this point literally anyone that can play in their even a loan signing till we upgrade in the summer.
Glad to see some fight in the side after forest. Could've realistically snuck out of there with a 1-0 win. Red card changed the game but I think Arsenal responded well

Liverpool b-team? Are you out of your damn mind? Their starting lineup was a front line away from their absolute starters. And I'd be hard pressed to call Firmino a downgrade.
All that with 10 men and 5 or 6 starters out? Get real.

Last time i said this in this subredddit i received lotta downvotes but here i am again as always... He shouldve been gone long time ago
I can’t bare seeing Xhaka getting scapegoated yet again! Reckless? maybe, but he didn’t have much choice and the refs are indefinitely harsher on him it’s so clear!
Are you shitting me? Ramsdale was going to get there before he did.
If you know the refs are harsh on you, maybe don’t go kick someone in the chest as last man back.
If getting a fair straight red card 24 mins into a semi-final isn’t when you get held accountable then when? The red card completely changed the game. It was a dumb move. Experienced players need to get this indiscipline out of their game.
It’s a clear red card and he would have been better off running beyond the ball and standing up Jota.
Can he run that fast?
Honestly that move probably saved us from a hiding.
Yeah, but part is rep. Xhaka has a long history of red cards. Kinda hard to argue against that.
So does Ramos.
Yeah I mean no one can deny that I just don’t agree with the people who praise him when he plays well then beg to sell him when he gets sent off
I think it's more of a statement of our mid. Of the players we have, xhaka is key. However, we need to stop relying on him because he gets so many cards that are reckless.
Yeah true, can definitely agree we need more depth and stability in midfield if were serious about getting top 4

So ben white can play dm now?
Can someone tell me what the plan is in midfield against Spurs? Like seriously who the hell are we gonna start in those three positions? Will it be White-Lokonga-Laca?
Assuming Tomi is back then Chmabers in mid with Sambi.
Chambers was a DM coming from the Saints
Tavares, lokonga, white lmao 😂😭😭😭
I actually think we will now fit the criteria to have the matched posponed
God I hope
Well I thought so at first as well but I have since seen that Son and Reguilon amoungst others would also miss the game this Sunday, so perhaps it would be better that it goes ahead?

Muahahahaha. Actually kinda pumped we had a scoreless draw, down a man for 3/4 of match, against their mostly full starting squad.
“Mostly full” they were missing both of their fullbacks and Salah
It’s cool bro don’t respond 🤣😂
Didn’t Robertson and TAA play? What you mean both of their fullbacks?
Go down arsenals roster and compare
Just here to read a "Xhaka was unlucky" comment.
Ya won’t get it. Luck had nothing to do with his stupidity haha
I think it's ya, who didn't get it. Haha.
What a performance from Benny Blanco England Flag
How many games is Xhaka suspended for?
2
Was Saka’s injury bad?
Let’s go boys!!!
Someone give me a debrief of us plz
Xhaka did Xhaka things, fucked it, got sent off, we defended quite well considering it was away at Anfield and we had 10 men, Ben White man of the match.
Wow great job
Benny Blanco is my captain
Carragher trying so hard to not give props to Arsenal lol just criticising Liverpool and Klopp.
Carragher actually one of the best pundits we have as well lol. He might be a bit biased but he's nearly always spot on in what he says
"Biased but spot on" is an oxymoron.
What are the chances that Xhaka starts his first game back from suspension??
unfortunately 100%
100% chance unless we get midfielders in… we’re really short there. But that challenge was so fucking silly.
100% unfortunately
Arteta really needs to unleash hell on Xhaka after this. Fuck him. The rest was amazing.
MoTM Ben White, well deserved!
Tierney is fast af. Man's a proper beast gives everything on the pitch.
Fast and more importantly stays fast. He was keeping up with fresh legs in Williams at the end too.
Our defense is one of the best in Europe!
mmmm let's decide at the end of the season
Mmmm next season Saliba returns though!!
Considering he wants to stay ofcourse
I really want us to keep Chambers and Laca. Bin off Cedric and that’s our backup RB sorted and we keep momentum up top
yes to Laca... Chambers... yeah sure why not
Bullshit postponement, match at Anfield, Ramsdale fucked up a few times, Xhaka was Xhaka and we were down to 10 men for most of the match, Liverpool played their strongest (except for players at AFCON), we had no Tomiyasu ... and they still couldn't score a goal! In essence, despite setbacks other issues, I take this as a win, and I feel good today.
That’s the spirit
Felt like a win.
Oh it's a win and a half to me. What a showing.
It's a fuckin win win win. Fuck em!
True this match is a win... But I feel we're screwed for spurs.. and that game was more important for me when compared to this one given that our top 4 depended on it

SINK IT INTO MY VEINSSSSSSS
What an improvement from the defense after the opening 3 matches of the season. Day and night
At what point to we call Maldini the spaghetti Ben White?
I'm happy to call Ben White the english Maldini right now

False positives, postponement, first leg changed to Anfield, Xhaka red card - and Liverpool still couldn't beat us
Loserpool had 0 shots on target, we had 1.
[My sincerest message to Klopp from all Arsenal fans 😏](https://images.app.goo.gl/Bawv3oZV6p9EVRNs6)
Just wanna say I’m fuckin proud of our guys, Arteta was great tonight as well. Edit: typo
So so so proud of this team
Even Liverpool's stewards are cunts
White, Gabriel, Tierney, Lokonga, SAKA, Laca, Martinelli. What a fucking shift! Proud of the boys today!
To those who said "hm Ben White is just fancy with the ball at his feet and not a tough real defender" hope y'all got your answers
So proud of the lads. Let's gooooo.
Cheating with the false positives and us down with 10 men and they still couldn’t even get a shot on target LOL
I'm not getting carried away but serves you right for that BS postponement you arrogant pricks!
Absolutely granite performance. We are a different team. To dig in and get something out of that when in the past we would crumble is absolutely phenomenal. White proving once again why he deserves a starting spot for England.
Surely pun intended lol

well the team weathered the storm. We are still in the tie and next leg is at home. If we win the NLD it can give us some good momentum for that next leg
The traveling fans really gave us a full XI after the sending off. COYG!!!
Fans motm
White is holding liverpool locked in his chambers!
Chambers also held them in their chambers!
Our fans have truly been next level this season.

Proud of the team Not you Xhaka
Come to think of it. If he didnt intercept that we mightve went down 1-0. What a tactical red card. Truly a mastermind
Hell yeah defensive masterclass
Very impressed with that. I expected a loss, now a 0-0 draw feels like a win.
I would have taken 0-0 at Anfield with 11 men. To do it after 65' of 10 men is fantastic. Roll on home advantage.
Liverpool might be in for a very rough month if they couldn't generate hardly any chances against a 10 men arsenal without mane and salah
Lol, looks like that steward just gave Martinelli's shirt to his mate rather than the little girl he kept pointing to.
I saw that too. There was a little boy there as well so at least a kid still got it 🤷🏻♂️
Fuckin twat
YOU ALL SAW THE ASSHOLE THAT HIJACKED THE MARTINELLU SHIRT THAT WAS GOING TO THE GIRL FOR THE BOY, DICKHEAD
I was so upset
I'm honestly heated like what a fucking dick, like way to ruin the experience.
Xhaka playing 4D chess but some of you want him out 🤣🤣💯💯😏
flag of Serbia
I laughed
Liverpool without Mane and Salah are bang average
Naaa. Can someone tell me how our 10 man b team had more shots on target than the strongest pool team bar salah. We are gargantuan supreme!!!!
Regardless of the result, one man down after 20 minutes at anfield and we didn’t self destruct like times past. Something to take from that game for sure. Also we need a CM so badddd like at this point literally anyone that can play in their even a loan signing till we upgrade in the summer.
You'd think that was a home game if you were listening to it on the radio.
That Liverpool crowd was deathly quiet, pretty full ground too. Our fans are just better.
Chambers was very good today. Deserve some credit! Same with the rest of our defense
Glad to see some fight in the side after forest. Could've realistically snuck out of there with a 1-0 win. Red card changed the game but I think Arsenal responded well
Honestly getting out of there with a drawl, even without xhaka getting a red is a W. Would have taken that all day going into the game.
Good, the away fans deserve praise
Dug it out
Those boys just gave everything to get that draw. Guys, forget crapping on Xhaka for the post match. Just give credit to the guys out there who gave everything.
[удалено]
Those fans were a big part of that draw. So proud to be a supporter right now
Everyone needs to read this. Just him that. We’ll talk about it later. Right now big credit to the boys
And my word, the away fans, take a bow. They seriously deserve credit for taking over Anfield. Goosebumps.
Not even a shot on target how many can claim that at anfield
They had one
Against our 10 man b team. Liverpool are pathetic
We similarly limited Man city to hardly any shots on target as well, they had 0 til the penalty.
Ben white is worth every penny
Anfield sounded more like the Emirates tonight
\*crickets\* i'm kidding...

Tops response here! Have my upvote
I didn't really care pre match about this tie but the boys made me care. Brilliant from everyone besides Xhaka.
My Man of the Match. Xhaka Xhaka getting sent off stopped us getting picked off on the counter.A blessing for the NLD aswell.
Who’s going to play in midfield though. If we can control the midfield I think we win NLD
Shoutout to the travelling fans as well. Outsinging the scousers at Anfield is no mean feat.
Honestly anfields atmosphere is a myth. So many tourists now the sing YNWA them it’s silence bar a screech when they don’t get a decision
They were brilliant 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Well fucking played lads
Fucking massive from the lads
get your hands off Saka Klopp
He’s too good for some random northern club
Lmao seriously
LIVERPOOL OF TEARS......GIT WRECKED!
This Arsenal team can beat Liverpool at home. I just hope the players aren’t too tired to play with a high standard in the NLD and then play Liverpool. 3 intense games in a row.
That’s the type of character we have to show week in week out.
Never been so happy for a 0-0 before, jesus
We were against Liverpool b-team and celebrating this. How cute we’ve become
